Just been on Radio Merseyside Sport Bulletin that Jurgen Klopp has been fined £45,000 for his comments about the West Ham Match Referee. OUCH!

The match referee is definitely not his FRIEND Kevin?

That is an expensive way for Jurgen Klopp to learn that you are not allowed to tell the truth about the incompetent and/ or corrupt match officials in the Premier League.

{Ed025's Note - they are incompetent when they dont give liverpool decisions they dont deserve WW it looks like, god help them if they booked mo every time he dived mate...you would want them hung drawn and quartered i suppose..

Nothing to do with Liverpool, premier league refs are the worst in Europe if their performance is never questioned without the sore loser tag how will they improve?

{Ed025's Note - by letting them get on with their job 911?, the thing is that i did not hear liverpool supporters whining about the ref when salah should have been booked and then banned for simulation mate...thats double standards right there..

"Tell the truth about officials"? The truth according to who? Klopp? Pls, I love Klopp but defending him on this is pathetic. Klopp gave his opinion on what the refs did and how he feels hard-done by. He gave an opinion and made a grievance. Klopp has NO factual evidence of that so people defending him shamelessly need to go somewhere else with that manure. The ref being incompetent (again, an opinion) does NOT allow for Klopp to mouth off to him disrespectfully.

Klopp conducted himself inappropriately and got fined for it, end of story. If he has grievances then as Ed25 said earlier, he should go to the ref after the game and respectfully state his case. If he can't do that then he will get the punishment the rules say he clearly deserves. We move on.

If you’re a football manager and you want to give feedback on a referee, do it in private to the PGMO boss.
Don’t do it on international TV broadcasts 👍.

Ed025, in last season’s Liverpool v Everton PL game at Anfield Dominic Calvert Lewin felt Dejan Lovren’s breath on his neck and threw himself to the ground to win a penalty. Do you agree that DCL should have been booked and banned for simulation?

And Red 911 is right. PL refereees are so bad not one of them was selected for last year’s World Cup. With one or two exceptions, the referees we see in the Champions League are streets ahead of them.

{Ed025's Note - they get things wrong at times WW thats just the nature of the beast, oumar niasse got a ban for diving even though he was not guilty so i reckon the FA owed us one there but yes all divers should get banned....which would make salah sine die in my book mate..

It can’t pull someone’s shoulder when they’re about to kick the ball 25. It’s against the rules.

That's the problem bringing salah into the argument is irrelevant, to let anybody in any job to continue to make the same mistakes never improves anything.

Klopp was wrong in his comments but what I see every time I watch football any team is refs seem to make decisions based on the player not the incidents, it's the same for all teams and why foreign refs are better because they don't know the players.

Just my opinion.

Ed025, I can just imagine you watching that Liverpool v Everton match, seeing DCL dive to win the penalty that got Everton an undeserved draw and thinking ‘You dived DCL, that is just not on you cad, you should be booked and banned. ’ Or perhaps you celebrated your team’s luck like any other supporter and to hell with double standards?

{Ed025's Note - no mate that was not actually a dive, he slipped and it was certainly not a penalty but some you get some you dont, but when we dont we dont cry like little tarts like some clubs i could mention..

Ed025, I think I’ve got it now. Everton players slip (DCL) or are wrongly banned by the FA for simulation (Niasse) but Liverpool players dive and cheat (Salah) . And not a double standard in sight!

{Ed025's Note - i cant argue with the truth WW, i dont moan about refs mate because i know how hard their job is..

Klopp Was rightly punished. He didn't just critisied the decisions he suggested it was because the ref had made a mistake in the first half allowing our goal and was making up for it in the second half by not giving us blatant fouls, that's calling the refs integrity into question which is against the rules. But what I will say is refs don't help themselves at times too, I'm an Lfc fan so watch mostly Lfc games so this is a not a conspiracy thing but just one I can remember, the 2-2 draw with spurs last year spurs were awarded a penalty, the lineman's called over Jon moss and their conversation was picked up by microphones, " did lovern play the ball" moss " I don't know" if he didn't Kane was offside and you can't award a penalty" moss I don't know, then he illegally asks 4th official Martin Atkinson if he seen it on the monitor, gets no reply, the linesman then says did lovern play the ball if he didn't it's not a penalty, moss says again I don't know, I'm giving the penalty . Now how more wasn't made of that at the time I'll never know, ed025 decision like this that are not recorded happen all the time and can cost people in relegation fights their jobs or clubs alot. Respect and doing your job right goes both ways.

The refs in this country are totally incompetent there's a reason why not one of them was selected to affiliate in the last world cup.
