I coudnt belive what i was watching, how a player can have that power over his manager lol, to me it looks like 1 of them got 2 go aswell, showing no respect to your manager in such a big game.

The Kepa situation was absolutely farcical. At least it provided a bit of entertainment to neutral fans though considering how terribly dull the match was.

{Ed025's Note - it was a very dull sunday all round zpecialone, the kepa incident and hendo,s tantrum were the highlights for me mate..

Ed025, how do you rate Henderson as a player?

{Ed025's Note - i have never been his biggest fan to be fair lowel, one thing i will say about him though is that he gives 100% every time but he lacks creativity and tends to slow the game down too much for me, i think hes a good squad player though mate but not an automatic starter, i was a bit surprised at his petulance yesterday when he was subbed as it was out of character...pressure maybe i suppose but i think he is a better guy than that..

What’s Bale doing? Can’t believe the situation can go on like that much longer over there. surely there has to be a move in the summer?

Agree with every word of that, exactly my own thoughts.

The owner has created this player power within the club. Even Kepa as new player understands the ethos at Chelsea, if you're not happy with the manager the club will sack the manager. I guess this has worked as they've been successful for the past 10 years. I just wonder when mangers will stop taking the Chelsea job, as they know they'll be gone in a couple of years.

{Ed025's Note - but that couple of years will not only raise your profile but is akin to a lottery win financially zeppelin...would you turn it down?..

I thought that was disgusting from Kepa yesterday, what an absolute idiot, he did himself no favours and just made himself look like a complete and utter piece of sh*t. If he was a Liverpool player I'd want rid at the first opportunity.

Have a good day Ed mate.

{Ed001's Note - same here mate. All he had to do was go to the sidelines and have a word before he crossed the white line. Instead he acted like a petulant child. I would banish him to the youth team so he can carry on being a child.}

Cheers Ed, So Kepa was either cheating and wasting time, or actually injured/ cramped and hindering his teams chances of winning, neither reflects well on him. Then to top it off undermines the manager in front of everyone!

What you make of the Hendo/ Klopp little disagreement when subbed? Storm in a tea cup? Tbh I don't think he should have been hooked, could have left him and Fab as a two and put Keita ahead and go for a win for me.

{Ed001's Note - what Kepa was is out of order. You do not publicly refuse to follow a direct order like that. How difficult would it have been for him to jog over to the touchline for the discussion? Personally I think the club captain, Azpilicueta, should have his armband stripped as well. He should have been straight over to drag Kepa off by the hair if need be, or to go over and speak to Sarri and explain why there was no need for the sub to be made. Instead he never even got involved.

Hendo was annoyed at being subbed and got a ticking off for not shaking Shaq's hand. He quite clearly said he was sorry and wasn't thinking, he was just upset at being taken off and would apologise after the match to Shaq. Storm in a tea cup, I don't want players being pleased to come off, but at least they should do as they are told.}

You know what Ed, as obvious as it sounds, I didn't think about Azpilicueta but you are so bloody right, why didn't he step in and do his job as the captain? it makes no sense. I'd make an example of them both! it's disgusting behaviour and stuff that shouldn't be in the public eye.

I felt sorry for Sarri I must admit, he's got no power and it's a real shame. The Chelsea players need their heads banging together and need to start to learn a little respect because at the moment some of them have none! What's the point in having a manager if they can't even make a bloody substitution? punishment needs to happen but it won't, it'll be brushed aside because Sarri's days are numbered. God help the next manager is all I say with players like that.

Thank god it wasn't Liverpool in that situation yesterday, sure Hendo was in the moment upset but it's nothing compared to Kepa. Hendo has respect for the manager and that is clear, it's a different story over at Chelsea.

{Ed001's Note - Chelsea have allowed this situation to fester over the years, their short term approach on management has created instability and now it is biting them on the backside. They will never be able to sustain a title challenge year after year while the players know the manager will be gone the moment they get fed up. This is a chance for them to change it, lay down a marker and say no more.}

I thought Henderson showed poor judgement as well in the way he acted after being brought off. Loved the way Klopp defused that situation though.

And yet, Sarri said it was just a misunderstanding. For me, that's professional. I really feel for him. He always sounds like a really nice guy.

Edd025 I agree with you, I wouldn't turn it down. It's actually a win win for a manager, if he does well his profile is raised, if he fails it's the clubs fault and every manager gets sacked from Chelsea so there is no harm done. Do you think this is sustainable though? If they don't recruit the right players the dip may last longer than a season. (that's probably true for every club though)

{Ed025's Note - in the end its just a merry-go-round zeppelin, they get sacked and a couple of weeks later get employed by another club, the likes of martinez and koeman for us were paid over £10m each for not being good enough at their jobs...it would not happen in any other sphere of business mate, is it sustainable? i dont really know but it happens so often that it must be..

Very true Ed1 mate, will it change anytime soon? I have my doubts but if I was a Chelsea fan I'd want change immediately, starting with Kepa thrown out. They really need to start showing who's boss because it's gone on far too long. Enoughs enough.

I'm glad I'm not a Chelsea fan put it that way because if I was I'd be gutted seeing such behaviour, unfortunately for the fans, its nothing new.

{Ed001's Note - hard to say, but the only thing they need to do is stand behind Sarri, they don't need to offload Kepa, they just need to back Sarri over him.}

25 Feb 2019 14:13:36
Yeah definitely Ed mate. I'll be honest, I'm surprised he's not been sacked already. Who knows, maybe, just maybe they're going to stand by him. I hope so.

{Ed001's Note - I hope so too, I want to see if he can get his style of play to work.}

Spot on, Ed. Chelsea have created this monster for the sake of short-term success and frankly, it was a good trade-off while it lasted. Now, it is time for the monster they created, to collect his share of the deal and trust me, that is going to leave a scar for the long term on this club cos they are going to get left behind the way Arsenal and to some extent, Utd have been.
