So Dortmund, Madrid, PSG and Roma out. Also Juventus have a big task as I think they are 2-0 down to Athletico.

Now that means some very good teams in Spurs, Ajax, Porto and United are through and they could be joined by Athletico. I know everyone is focused on the EPL but if, and it's a big if given our away form in the CL since the quater finals last season, we get past Bayern it isn't impossible to think we could be there again in May. I don't fear City over 2 legs or in a one off final as I think they will be lagging a bit on the next few months.

I'm just saying there are some very good teams left but Spurs or Dortmund, Porto or Roma, Ajax or Madrid, United or PSG, Juventus or Athletico, all games would be tough but I know who out of those match ups I would want to play. Let's be greedy, let's win both competitions.

We have to win in Munich. There's no guarantees on the league we've lost our lead so we must go through.

Best chance for Manchester City to win their maiden CL.

Just can't grasp why do many think Citeh will just starting failing out of nowhere. They won't struggle with the fixture congestion. They have had their blip, their attacking is ridiculously good. We can stop them, but equally they can stop us.

To answer question I would prefer the so called hardest draw myself, no point being on elite competition to hope for the Portos, Ajax, and Tottenhams.

We don't need to win, just a score draw. And we haven't lost our lead in the league, we are in the driving seat. City watch our results with crossed fingers. They'll have arthritis by the end of May when we lift the league title.

After their performance last night I would love to see Ajax win the CL. Talk about heritage!

The Prem will do for us.

03beef, Ajax schooled Madrid and earned thier place, no one saw that coming, Spurs went up against a strong Dortmund team and out played them over two legs, United somehow over came PSG and deserve to be in the quarters. So are you saying they are not elite enough, and you would only want to win a competition if the big names were in it even if they were well beaten. My point was these teams have gone and it will still be so hard to win as the teams that are left are deserving of being there but shouldn't we think we can do this as well and go and win it, only this time there is no Madrid, PSG or Roma to think about. And City will not have to drop off my point is they will get tired as we may but over two legs we can beat them adnin a one off final its anybody's game.

{Ed025's Note - i agree mate..

Kim, great points. Regarding your last point about getting tired, we have reinforcements coming that will add extra energy to the team that we did not have last year; Ox, Lovren, Gomez.

I think if he gets up and running Ox could be vital, it may take another 4 weeks to get him on the pitch for a first team game, but how poetic if he were to impact the latter stages of the CL campaign and the leauge in a positive way . He has bags of energy and would make such an impact. And to have Joe back would also be a huge boost. You have to be realistic and are allowed to be critical, but really, why can't we win both!

I hope you're wrong and we haven't lost our head. I still think we will win the league. Let's hope our away form in Europe quickly changes.

Peps teams notoriously always tire and the end of seasons and finish weak. Where as we have been held back and should he raring to go, it’s our year doubles on the cards.
