Player of the season?

Still long way to go i know.

Contenders this year are imo

Vvd, sterling, silva (bernado), fernandinho, aguero.

I better put harry kane as he is harry kane and no other reason lol.

Second tier would be son, robertson, Alison, abamayeng, salah.

Regardelss of who wins the league, imo vvd have been by miles the best players in the league this year.

Imo sterling second.

Whats everyone think.

Agree with kman that mane should be in the running but without a doubt Virgil has been the best in the league this season.

VVD to win it purely due to consistent performances, Fenandinho, Bernado Silva, Sterling and Hazard are contenders. Other than that I wouldn't say anyone else comes close. Kane hasn't done enough, neither has Salah, neither has Aubamayang. Although Alisson has been good it is largely down to our defence, on the few occasions he has been called into practice he has still made mistakes.

I am in agreement VVD. Nobody has got the better of him all year. He has played with multiple CB, made each of them better and obviously transformed our defense. Augero would be my number 2. Yes, Sterling and others have played well but city without him is a clear step back.

Loving the love for all the city players ravi. We have a different style of midfielder to them but milner, fabhino and gini have been as good as their boys.

Salah may still light up the Premier league with our run in and lead us to a ucl final again.

For me it is close between vvd and mane. Sterling and aguero have been excellent but there's no way I'm being objective. This is football and my opinions are red tinted. Best lb robbo, best rb trent, best gk alisson, best cb vvd. Best midfielder silva although I think milly is having a fine season and should be in with a shout along with gini. Best forward mane.

I bet mane ends up with more goals than Sergio come May. His confidence is growing with each game and although aguero has scored some crackers, mane's 1st last night is goal of the season so far.

It generally goes to atracking players over defenders but VVD has a strong case.

Bernardo Silva, is a solid outside bet. Has quietly gone about becoming one of Manchester City's most important players, especially with De Bruyne's injuries and David Silva regressing slightly (Natural at 33, still incredible) .

Most likely between Van Dijk and Sterling though. Young player of the year between Trent and Wan-Bissaka, wouldn't be surprised if the latter was ahead though after Trent's injury spell.

Cant agree, MK, it should go to the player who has played the best throughout the season not the one that ends up with silverware. We all know Djimi Traore was a CL winner.
Virgil wins it for me. He has barely put a foot wrong regardless of who he has played with or against. can't say the same about Sterling despite his excellent season.

For me itâ€™s has to be VVD no matter who wins the league. He hasnâ€™t consistently performed at the highest level and you can see the difference he makes as an individual to the team. Sterling and Aguero have been brilliant this season and either could win it but you take either out and replace win Mahrez or Jesus and city play similar. Son and Mane have both had great seasons but have also had quiet patches. Kane well heâ€™s selfish and would probably rather player of the year than spurs winning a trophy but heâ€™s been scoring but spurs have lost far too many games for me for one of their players to Be considered and quite often thatbis down to the fact he wonâ€™t pass to anyone.

I genuinely don't think there's been a stand out player for any team this season.
for me big Vergil stands out on his own for player of the season.

Van Dijk all day long for me, just for his impact. Heâ€™s taken you to another level and I canâ€™t see anyone else whoâ€™s had that kind of influence.
