Firgive me for I have sinned. Am I the only one starting to snoop around behind enemy lines to get my fix of transfer gossip? These last couple of windows have been very low on Liverpool related transfer info. I know radio silence was called upon after the VvD incident, but still. It used to be fun and exciting to follow the transfer window on the sideline. It's possible to find just a little more info on opponents rumour sites, and then at least I can see who we ain't getting. By now it really seems like we won't be doing much, and maybe that's a gpod thing after all. It just makes one hell of a dull window to get through. Thanks to the Eds for every little bit of info you share with us. That is very much appriciated!

Kind regards.

I much prefer it the way we do it now.

Nothing has changed in my opinion. I think that discovering this site just makes you stop reading and believing all the sh@t in the papers and on bbc gossip column.

I think it's easy to forget how lucky we are at the moment NOT being involved in transfers. You see Wan-Bissaka going for 50m, Salah etc. valued at 150m+.

Some big transfers last year, all of which have worked out well (bar Keita perhaps) . I think Liverpool are right where they want to be, sitting on an incredible squad, which they could not buy today. Trent + Robbo together at market value would be 150m+, but they've cost 8m combined!

Sturridge leaving, big wages. An attacker will be signed imo. Probably already someone in sight.

I know I'm totally wasting my time with this post but. you don't need to ask why there's a lack of information about transfers, you should be asking why a team who have just won the champions League are not trying to kick on and bring in at least two top draw players to consolidate our position. If you don't move forward you go backward and the lack of players coming in is a massive concern and not just about winning trophies but what message this might send to the manager, who may think about his own future if he feels he isn't recieving the backing he deserves, I know the reasons why things aren't moving on major transfers and so do all of you but you can't say it on here, I'll be shocked if what I've said here is shown at all never mind what I'd like to say.

It's still June no need to panic. What 2 "top draw" players do we need. There will be another face or 2 to arrive I'd expect but our squad is strong with just a couple of guys needed for depth. I can't pinpoint a weakness, last 18 months we addressed the problem areas and strengthened the spine with new keeper, CB, and DM. We spent big money to get the best we could., we have a young group that can achieve success for next few years with the right management. Absolutely no need for 2 big expensive signings. Man city last summer only signed one player as pep was happy with his team, they won the treble this year,

We got 97 points and are European champions, these players have proved they are good enough, replace the dead wood with better quality, I'm more than happy with the current choices being made.

Im not aware of the issues you claim you can't speak of? ?

Waro is absolutely right, teams should never stand still. 1 or 2 first team players should be brought in to improve us further and not stagnate.
That said, it is only June so plenty of time for business yet. Not sure of the reasons you speak of Waro, in regards to transfers.

Are you saying that the owners only buy big when they sell big, meaning we only bought Van Dijk and Alisson because Coutinho money paid for them. Therefore you think we will not be making a significant signing.

I get the idea but standing still doesn't necessarily mean a lack of big transfers. Our strongest back 5 has Trent and Joe in early 20s, robbo still young and VVD and allison only hitting their peak. Our front 3 continue to blow teams away, keita can only improve and OX will be like a new signing. Brewster can't offer any less than sturridge did, Moreno offered nothing, fab, keita, ox all 24/ 25, hendo, gini and Milner with the experience, we have a nice young team, focus on growing what we have instead, . We can strengthen without marquee arrivals. Our squad is already stronger with Gomez OX and Brewster.

We're not standing still at all, far from it, we're operating very wisely I think. Maybe 2 more young hungry players to come in unless they're are major outgoings but why the need to spend big on players with first team promises, .

I get what ye mean but can you explain where the areas of the first team need strengthening? Without changing our style of play largely, I actually think Bruno F would suit us in midfield but with Ox and keita to contribute we are already much improved in advanced midfield.

Har, I do not think Liverpool are standing still as it is far too early to be saying we are not signing players. I was more interested in why Waro is convinced Liverpool won't be signing anyone.

Apart from a decent wingback to compete with Robertson, I would like a top class attacker/ forward who can offer genuine competition to the front 3. I think Liverpool were very lucky last season with injuries and if 2 of our forwards got injured we will struggle.
Brewster is only 17 and coming back off a long term injury and I am not convinced Origi all round game is good enough.
I appreciate that finding the right attacking player is a tough job. We have heard Brandt, Fekir, Pepe and Fernandez mentioned already this Summer. So 2 signings is enough for me this season.

Yes greenflash I'd agree those 2 positions would be the ones needing a bit of strength in depth.

Im also curious of waros statement of some big issue that we all apparently know of, . Im certainly ignorant to this info, have no clue.

Why can't you talk of this sensitive issue if it's already seemingly common knowledge?
