Over-sensitive post of the day, but did anyone see the small interview of Brewster during the CL parade? I don't think it got picked up on because it was only about 2 minutes long (I had the parade on all day which is how I saw it) .

Anyway, he was sitting there happily signing things being thrown onto the bus, answering the interviewer's questions and elimination a misplaced preconception I had of him that he was a bit too big for his boots, when someone else on the bus jokingly asked him how many minutes he got in Europe this year. He either replied "none" or something very minimal.

He genuinely looked quite upset by this question, and to be honest it seemed out of order asking that. So in light of his form in pre-season and the fact he's replacing Sturridge this year, I want to wish him lots of luck for the year ahead. I hope he gets game time, I hope he scores important goals and I hope in his next Liverpool parade he can answer a stupid question like that with "many".

Asked by a player or reporter?

It was Ritchie Partridge. As you say he butted in and asked "how many appearances have you got for Liverpool then? ". Brewster replied none and Partridge said "I've got three". I'm glad someone else noticed it because I thought it was a pretty awful thing to do to be honest.

I noticed it too. Not to worry he can ask again when Brewster career has finished. Bet you Ritchie won't want that chat then. He's a kid coming back from a severe injury how many appearances do you expect him to have.

Absolute 🛎 end.

It was Richie Partridge, one of the physios. I thought it was a bit off when i seen it at the the time but it was just crap banter on his part and ill timed.

Saw that and cringed for the lad, the interviewer said he'd played 10 mins in 2005 or something.

Might be an oversensitive reaction, but given what the lad went through with injuries this year I really didn't appreciate the 'banter'. He may well have played some minutes if not for them.

He does have a CL medal so hopefully that will have cheered him up.

Could not agree more Robbiesline. He’s a really good prospect I really think he can make it. Can’t wait to see him bag his first goal at the top level.

I like the look of Brewster so I am happy that he will be getting chances with Sturridge leaving. All the best to him and I hope he grabs every opportunity he gets.
