Surprised one of the top Prem teams didn’t push harder for him but Betis are a good team. That said I’d be more excited about watching him at Betis if Quique Setien was still there.

Its so strange. What was the fee? 22mil. Im really surprised a bigger team didn't put in a 25/ 30mil bid. Real Betis have a real bargain.

But im done questioning klopp/ edwards transfer business. If we pulled out and didn't go back in then there must be a reason.

I think apart from karius (who actually played ok for a while. Not champ winning form though) the klopp signings have all been hits. Okay matip took time to pick up his game, but we got him for nothing and he was immense in the champions league. Especially the bayern munich games i seem to remember.

People who think they know better than klopp and co, moaning about a lack of activity need to send their C. V. Into lfc. We have a massive squad with so much quality in it, we proved we can go toe to toe with an unbelievable man city. We proved we can humble bayern, barca. If our boys can do that then why do we need anyone else? Im not trying to be rude but its embarrassing seeing fans throwing their toys out of the pram over a lack of activity. Its like they get a better buzz seeing a big signing announced than winning the European cup. And if we did sign a big player, the next day its "who else, one isn't enough"

when you're managing a team, and your recruitment has been brilliant for 3 years, you can get to a point where you look at your team and think "job done" i think that is where we're at. Yes there are maybe 2 positions where we could have a bit more competition but its not panic stations, not by a long long way. We all know we have players that can cover those 2 spots so.

The eds have said we may see a young winger (cornet has been mentioned) and a full/ wing back. So that is all you need to know. And if we don't get the players klopp wants then he won't necessarily go in for someone else. He is willing t o wait for his man

And think about the age of our squad. Most are in their prime. That can last 6 years, it can last 3 years or even less. So in the next couple of seasons we are probably going to see some younger players signing. We are going to need it.

If any Euro team, Porto, Dortmund, Lyon etc etc etc see English money coming then the Euro teams will pay less for the player of the selling Euro team.

Robbie, why is it people stating we should look to strengthen the squad from a position of strength think they are better managers than klopp? I was brought up on the Sir Bob Paisley style of management and that's what he did season on season and he was is and always will be a better manager than klopp. Much as I love jurgen by the way.

If your medical team brings up a red flag after a checkup, then no amount of money can warrant signing up that player - 60 Million or 20 Million. I'm aware he played an entire season after that medical, but then if you're not going to listen to your own medics, then no need for checkups before signings then. God forbid if there is a recurrence then that's a big heap of money sitting on the bench. We still have Mr. Aqualani from recent memory, to help us recall how bad things can go if the medical side is not 100% safe.

Strengthen how waro? Who would you like us to target? And let's remember its not our money is it. Its our team yes, and fenway have been good to us in recent signings. Its easy to spend 80mil on pepe when its not your cash. Is he worth 80mil? Just think how much money that is. Since the neymar and coutinho transfers, prices have become ridiculous. People just whacking 30mil onto the real value. Pepe isn't an 80mil player. Not in a billion years. 50mil is a lot to spend on a player, I think after a lot of spending in recent windows we won't be spending 100mil. We haven't sold anyone of significant value. You have to be realistic. We are not city. But we have a team that can rival them. If kompany had not scored that screamer - we win the league. We were virtually a foot from the title. he's gone now. We don't know how next seasons going to pan out. We might not have such a good season.

But i just don't see where we need to spend. Yes cover at lb, im pretty sure the recruitment team are on it. Same with a forward. But are we going to reward our ucl winning team by replacing players? No, they have earned a place. So its only really cover. And these won't be huge signings.

And moaning about a lack of activity is one way or another saying our (brilliant) recruitment team don't know what they're doing. Its easy to say - we need this and that. But who?

I gave (I thought anyway) a decent example last week how one player can alter your team/ squad, put my name in the search bar you'll find it, too long to explain again, also why is it that when you say you need to strengthen people keep throwing this Pepe lads name into there argument, you can't just randomly throw his name in and £80 million to justify what your saying, cover at left back a goalscoring midfielder and a centre back as if vvd is ever out for a sustained period we're in really trouble.

Since klopp came in our net spend is less than spurs and as our lucrative sponsorship deals which have been well publicised have kicked in it means plenty of cash flow into the club, so why can't we compete with city?

I don't think the goal scoring mid is going to happen war o. Not with the ox back in the team and hendo playing higher up the pitch. Fair enough dude. I know what you're saying. But we do have something like 8 senior cms. 4/ 5 cbs. And 6 forwards. Lovren can play lcb and i think the young dutch lad is left footed. I have no idea how good he is but.

Maybe those moaning about Klopp not signing who they want (Pepe, Mbappe, Dybala etc) or should have signed who they wanted (Fekir, for example) should go and put pressure on FSG to sack Klopp and give one of them the LFC job cos they seem to know more than The Living Legend at the helm of our club, does.

Redwolf, I can only speak for myself but I want some players to come in to help us go all out for the title but not once have I said I know more than klopp or have I asked for any of the players you've mentioned above.
