I reckon Salah is going to have a big season, on the level of his first season.

Mane was our best forward last season but Salah delivered more goals/ assists.

I agree max. There is slightly less pressure on him now he has had 2 20+ seasons. There was massive pressure on him last year.

I still think he is our best attacker. don't get me wrong, i absolutely love Mane and Firmino, but neither has ever got close to 44 goals in a season. I think people sometimes forget just how astonishing 44 goals is. Unparalleled.

Hit reply before I was done with my post lol.

Wanted to add that starting eleven wise in defence we are sorted. Our midfield is a workhorse and we have one of the most potent attacks around in Mane, Salah and Firmino.

Backup at LB needed and Klopp wants a versatile forward. With Brewster having a chance to step up aswell, pending new signings, Ox coming back etc, we will have a mean and lean squad.

YNWA and looking forward to the new season!

I agree but I also see Firmino and possibly Origi having top seasons as well.

I think you're right salah. Origi is going to have his best season. Lad knows where the goal is and he's a fine finisher. Confidence is sky high, club legend.

Fully agree with the posts already on this thread. I think Salah will go about his business normally now cos well, he is now proven star power in the PL now. Mane will do what Mane has been doing and I trust Origi will step up a notch cos even watching him in preseason, he has a pep in his step now that wasn't there before. Here's to hoping Larouci is okay (that was aggravated assault, not a tackle) and that we can get the versatile forward (Cornet? ) to help the front three.

Is it any wonder Ed025 gets so much enjoyment out of editing the Liverpool page with ridiculous claims that Origi is going to have a top season 🙈😂
He will more than likely start a couple of games and play poorly then get dropped to the bench. He will get a run of games around Christmas and score a few then get injured🙈 he will return at the end of the season and score a goal or 2 and everyone will rave about him again.
It’s as predictable as the poster Virgil asking for transfer updates every day lol.

Nothing like blind faith is there, only problem with blind faith is it generally comes back to bite you on the you know what.

22 Jul 2019 21:55:19
Don't mind origi, he's decent. But what has happened to suggest he'll get anymore game time than last season? He's more of an impact player as we all know and when he has played from the start he doesn't seem to fit the system, and I also think teams will give him more attention next season after the important goals he scored so I think there's a chance he may struggle.

9.) 22 Jul 2019
22 Jul 2019 22:16:41
Manè for golden boot (i wish) .

I'm no salah fan but he won't be starting the season with a shoulder niggle/ pain (I'm no doctor but easy to see it still bothered him at the start of last season) he will be on fire this season I just hope manè scores one more than him

Manè scored more goals from open play if he had taken half the pens with salah he would have been the solo winner of the golden boot.

22 Jul 2019 22:52:49
You're right. At the highest level you need impact players who can come in the second half and change something enough to make an impact and lead to the desired result. Origi is one of those. Watch him over a game and you won't be that impressed.

But he has had a knack lately at being in the right place at the right time. The goal against Everton was a fluke, but then he's been consistently having those kind of flukey goals; mostly rebounds for easy tap ins. What's wrong with that? He may wish he'll be a starter but it's not going to happen in my book. Not unless there is an injury to Firmino. Or one of Salah or Mane is out.

Origi is going to start games
Especially near the beginning of the season as mane salah and firmino have all had busy summers. You look at a front three of say salah, origi and firmino. That is a very strong 3. Danny sturridge started a lot of games last year after the wc. Hendo didn't play for ages. I think shaq and origi and brewster is strong enough to sink norwich.

What have you got against salah berg? How can you not be a fan of such a wonderful player who came and broke all the records set by rush, fowler and owen, torres. he's seems a nice guy and gas been a massive player. Scored in the champions league final. Origi is a legend but salah scored more in one year than origi has in 3. Yet salah isn't as popular. Baffling.

12.) 23 Jul 2019
23 Jul 2019 01:55:10
Ill tell you what makes me think origi is going to start more games waro. Firmino played copa america. Mane and salah played in the afcon. Last season studge started a lot coz of the wc. Origi will get a good shot. And he is a very good impact player, power and pace, confident. I don't think we would have offered him a great new contract if we plan not to play him. I also think brewster will play.

I think salah, brewster and origi is a pretty hot front 3. Look what he did to Barcelona.

13.) 23 Jul 2019
23 Jul 2019 02:15:31
sorry I disagree. Salah was very selfish towards the end of last aeason. Bobby and mane were not happy. I actually think This year front 3 can have some problem finding the harmony.

14.) 23 Jul 2019
23 Jul 2019 06:10:31
Kiwi I think, salah was selfish all season mate manè started like that but quickly got out of it imo

And that's one reason I don't like salah plus he doesn't want to play for liverpool he's an ego in a family atmosphere I just think he would be better moving on and his replacement being sorted this window.

15.) 23 Jul 2019
23 Jul 2019 07:15:11
There aren't many strikers that wouldn't want to play for Barcelona or real. Salah isn't a liverpool fan. But i don't think he is unhappy here.

Yeah, i agree he was selfish at times but he was coming off a 44 goal season. You can't really blame him for going for goal. It seems unusual to dislike our double golden boot winning forward. I mean if he wins the golden boot and european cup you can forgive him for being a bit selfish. I disagree, i think klopp will instil the need to play together and they'll all have great seasons.

16.) 23 Jul 2019
23 Jul 2019 07:45:02
If it was just Barcelona or real I understand like Suarez made it clear his end goal was Barcelona while he was in ajax dissapointed how he went about business but that's his mentality but salah is after any move to real Barcelona Juventus probably PSG and possibly others

I understand the strikers selfish streak but the other 10 players would sacrifice personal glory for team wins I just don't think salah is that guy I think he is the type to put the golden boot ahead of a team win.

17.) 23 Jul 2019
23 Jul 2019 08:22:10
Berg, Salah had 13 assists compared to Mane's 2 last season. Salah created the most chances for his teammates last season, as well as twice the clear Cut chances as Mane and Firmino combined. and for all the talk about Firmino Salah won the ball back for Livepool in the final 3rd more than ANY other player in the league. Stats that are so easily available but hey don't let facts blind you from your hate just because ed002 said this and that, absolute mindless nonsense. all players have agents that try to move them on, otherwise there is no payday for them. Or to raise there wages. Not a fan of Salah who is one of the best 5 attacking players in our history (he holds all the records for the best so i am Even talking him down) then you must be someone with an agenda to talk crap about a wonderful player and person.90% of your posts are talking nonsense about Mo. its getting tedious : (.

18.) 23 Jul 2019
23 Jul 2019 09:15:20
Salah had a point to prove end of! Pundits etc all said his 1st season was a fluke so I don’t blame him for being selfish as long as we win!

19.) 23 Jul 2019
23 Jul 2019 09:55:54
A lot of this depends on injuries, we were lucky last season with the front 3, pretty much in place for most of the season, Mane was lit for s couple of weeks.

I like Origi as an impact sub but if one of the above 3 sustains serious injury then it could really have an impact on how our season pans out.

I actually think Brewster, playing alongside the like of Salah etc will net a few goals. It’s a big ask though for him to take the place of one of the front 3 should one be put for a while.

Can't add anything more than what Robbie has said, spot on mate. Waro and mattie, you two clearly have short memories and are quite simply bloody clueless.

21.) 23 Jul 2019
23 Jul 2019 12:14:21
Salah, waro has been spewing nonsense for as long as this site has been around. Origi is useless when starting? Remind me who was in the front 3 when we beat Barca, I’ll wait.

22.) 23 Jul 2019
23 Jul 2019 12:15:22
If we all Believe hard enough Origi might be top class lol.

23.) 23 Jul 2019
23 Jul 2019 12:16:02
Oh okay salah, it's all about opinions mate, nobody's opinion should ever be passed off as fact, but I don't think I've read an opinion on playing style players etc from you, just a rehash of whatever editor you've paid attention to that week and saying "we'll bloody win this league" over and over again. So you may not agree with my opinion but it IS my opinion formed from what I've witnessed at the game or on TV.

24.) 23 Jul 2019
23 Jul 2019 12:52:48
Maaaaaa did you actually read the first thing I wrote? Or just latch on to the last thing? I actually started saying salah will be on fire this season and will be better than last season but stated I'm not a fan and got asked why I answered simple unfortunately I don't like the guy but the 2 negatives I just put on where replies I am entitled to my opinion just like you are entitled to yours and I don't spend my time trying to convince you that my opinion is correct or wrong I support the guy while he is in a liverpool shirt I don't have to like him aswell stats don't always tell the story either I just judge from what I see.

25.) 23 Jul 2019
23 Jul 2019 13:34:16
If origi hadnt had the season he had, of not starting many but scoring HUGE, HUGE goals. Not just in europe but in the league too, his goals against newcastle and everton, just to name a couple kept us in the hunt for the league. Then i would agree, that origi isn't quite good enough. But he was brilliant when called upon. Im not worried at all. He has shown he has the ability imo. I agree that brewster may have a fairly successful season too.

So it wasnt just a game against Barcelona and a european cup final goal that has made him an important player. His contribution was huge.

26.) 23 Jul 2019
23 Jul 2019 13:49:49
Footballers come and go. that's the nature of the game now. Each to their own. Berg wasnt being rude, i just asked what he had against mo, and he answered.
And i think waro is being a bit harsh on salah (the poster) if you read his posts, he does know his football.

Also, good post maaaaa, i didn't know salah was so effective at winning the ball back in the final third. And his assist tally speaks volumes, really shines a light on the myth that salah is singing from a different sheet than the rest of the team. He is a liverpool player this season, if we are going to win the league we will need an in form mo salah.

23 Jul 2019 14:59:43
Exactly berg, this site wouldn't be as interesting. Im always willing to look at other people's opinions and quite often my opinion has been swayed by other's. Mane was class last term. Played the playmaker role more and it brought out the best of him. He could have had another 10 easily if his usually first class finishing had been perfect. I always get a feeling there's more to come from mane too which is exciting.

29.) 24 Jul 2019
24 Jul 2019 00:52:57
EMAN34, you have the advantage of me as I've never seen your name on here before, obviously unless you went by a different name. If I've been spewing nonsense since this site has been around, why haven't you pulled me on it? Salah will never hear fully my musings on all things LFC, which is unfortunate (for him)

30.) 24 Jul 2019
24 Jul 2019 01:00:01
Salah can be a bit selfish but c'mon, he's broken record after record since arriving. Huge pressure was being put on him last year, mostly by the british pundits who had their nose outa joint because one of them dastardly muslims took their Harrys golden boot. He'll be more relaxed starting this season. On Origi, i hate saying this and if im wrong and he bangs in goal aftr goal i' be happy to eat my words but i just don't think he's near good enough for this club anymore. And don't throw the everton or Barcelona goals at me, as i've said before my grannie could have scored them.
