Just read Clyde out for 6months now ACL injury. He wasn't first choice but certainly cover option at RB or LB. Ed do you think this might have an affect and force us to look to bring some cover in?

{Ed001's Note - no he wasn't going to be anything other than emergency cover anyway.}

Ok mate. I no Ed002 had said perhaps he will stay on as cover that’s all. Do you think Ki-Jana Hoever might be able to step up, or are we still infact trying to bring another one in as back up to both full backs? I just thought we would stick to what we had mate that’s all this late in the window.

{Ed001's Note - Larouci is seen as the next TAA apparently, not as in right back, but as seen ready to step up. I believe he can cover both flanks.}

Ok mate, I liked the looks of him I’m preseason tbh until he was taken out the game the other day. So as it stands he could well provide the cover we need for the full
Backs.

Clyne played 4 games for us last year. Twice at right back and twice at left back. That may show us two things.
1. Klopp is willing to play him as cover for both positions
2. Klopp really doesn’t like playing him as cover for either position.
Jokes aside, I now think we’ll sign a full back. We may have gone into the season with Clyne (if really needed) and Milner, Lewis/ Larouci. Larouci has played one season of kids football as a left back. Lewis has played a number of positions and seems to have settled now, maybe he’ll cover that side in cups. Still leaves us short on the right, like we were in our so called sticky patch this year.

{Ed002's Note - Clyne will not be available for a while as he is injured.}

Somebody at work today said Liverpool have apparently confirmed he just has severe bruising on his femur.

Plain Bread, that would be Larouci, not Clyne.

Ed002. What’s your opinion on this, do you think Larouci can step up and provide cover or are we more likely to bring a new player in to cover?

{Ed002's Note - And there is Adam Lewis. I have said before the youngsters should be used. Just the fans expect massive amounts of money to be spent of people who will sit on the bench.}

Sorry RedWolf, yes my comment was RE Larouci. Should've made that clear.

Pleased for Larouci though as I've had high hopes for him since Lewtas converted him to a wing back. The best wing backs nowadays tend to have started as wingers. Wan-Bissaka and Alexander-Arnold are good examples.

Larouci has looked good, hopefully he is ready for a handful of games. He seems to be dangerous going forward which is what we need from our full backs from the type of games that he will probably play.

Ed002, I agree with you that Larouci and Lewis can cover and both deserve a chance this season as cover, it’s just Klopp usually doesn’t see trust the youngsters apart from a select few that have come through.

{Ed002's Note - Then they can leave with the many others who are being let go.}

I wish Clyne the best with his recovery but let's be honest, he'll be never part of this club now, will we miss him? Certainly not. I'd never wish an injury on anyone and I have no idea what has happened but he's already history at Liverpool.

I really like the look of Larouci, and between him and Milner, Gomez and potentially even Fabinho I think we are fine at FB if something doesn’t come up between now and end of the window.

The bigger concern is the lack of cover for the wide forwards. Origi can play there but perhaps not his natural position, Kent isn’t ready or good enough IMO and Wilson is perhaps next best but again a big drop in quality from Manè or Salah. I would really like us to go for someone who’s a quality wide forward who’s ready to rotate with Manè and Salah, particularly as it’s going to be a massively packed season after a very short off season.

I know clyne isn't first choice and maybe klopp would rather play gomez there or even milly. But he is still a senior player for liverpool. Our weakest link id say but still, when klopp is filling out the squad and head counting clyne will be added. He is now unavailabe and maybe it means the chances of us signing a fullback go up. We are expecting liverpool to sign a fullback i know.

But, we got by without him last season. Most of the time. And moreno did start the odd game. I don't see larouci being any worse than moreno. I don't think hoever is ready to start. Id go for a rb who can also play on the right. But if we don't sign anyone im not worried.

You DO NOT want a rb who can also play on the right. that's almost anarchy! But who? Larouci can play right and left i believe.

So because he won't be part of the club and him being history means your ambivalent to his injury? Surely regardless of ability or commitment to the team he should be afforded our support. Strange comments, very strange.

That post from Salah pretty much sums up the modern Liverpool supporter. Probably has a “Clyne out” page on twatter or Facebook.

The thing is the premiership is unforgiving trent was bedded in well an gradually, these young lads are going from the frying pan to the incinerator, I just hope they are ready they will have full support from all the fans me included, I say the incinerator as one mistake an you can lose a game, we lost one game last season an lost the league, this year there is no margin for error.
