When have you ever seen a team trying to win the PL lumping all their hopes on a few kids as back up with no experience in the PL and a few injury prone players. We're led to believe lalana and the ox and Brewster are like new signings. We'll their not. We have gone backwards. A team that just won the CL and has known its short comings and where it's needed to strengthen since last year. Clyne was going to be cover till he got injured even though we let him leave on loan last January and would glay have sold him if we didn't price ourselves out of the move. We expect different results with the same team with the same weakness which every team now knows. I mean come on be realistic' take the red tinted specs off we ain't winning the PL this year. Shoot me down all you want but it's the truth. And I am an lfc supporter. I just think we are letting a great opportunity slip by not getting the players in to push for the title. We'll see if I'm wrong or not. Remember this post.

How exactly are we going backwards? Players that have left so far from 1st team are more I and Sturridge, who did very little last season. We've got ox and Gomez coming back, Brewster was injured most of last season, and Lallana who is decent cover. Only top 6 team to strengthen so far is spurs, who may still lose their best player. If you're so angry supporting the team before the season starts, how have you made it this long supporting a team that hasn't won the league for 30 years?

Pre season is nothing more than fitness building don't stress trust the club.

In all seriousness. one of your complaints was about the RB position really? Gomez can play RB and we wonâ€™t be short on CBs still (unless we have another defensive crisis like last season) then thereâ€™s fabinho, milner and even henderson who can cover RB.

RB isnâ€™t a position of concern, you failed to mention probably our only major weakness and thatâ€™s not having backup to robbo at LB besides Milner (Again Gomez can play there, if we are desperate) . we realistically want a left footer though.

I donâ€™t understand what you mean though when you say we have the same weakness which every team now knows.
What weakness? Going forwards or backwards?
Defensively we are sound. We had the 2nd lowest goals conceded per game in the whole of Europe (including lower leagues) . The team in first was Celtic. Do they even get threatened by any teams besides rangers?
In the league we got beat by 1 team. City. The champions. So clearly every team doesn't know whatever weakness you speak of.
We had a few rocky games in the champions league but still, we won ol' big ears again.

Going forward, every team is weak against 2 buses parked in front of the goal. They are very hard to breakdown for any team.

Is this negativewalter on a new name by any chance? Haha.

Youâ€™d think some fans had never heard of the concept of coaching. Players improve naturally, pretty much all of our best players are under 27. Fabinho will start from the get go, that alone is a massive factor. Plus the window isnâ€™t even closed. Find it hard to believe this came from an actual fan. If it did, my word.

Using Brewster as a Sturridge replacement makes sense to me.

{Ed001's Note - the troll is referring to Milner as back up full-back I think. Maybe the 24 year old Origi as back up forward? Not like the last time we brought through a youngster it did us any good did it? What did happen to that Trent Alexander-Arnold guy anyway?}

If we got exactly the same results this season it would be incredible. 97 points and a champions league win is realistically doubtful to be repeated. I'd snap your hands off for any similar kind of return this year.

How have we gone backwards when the only first team player gone is Sturridge and ox, Brewster and several other youngsters are ready. don't get me wrong I would love Fernandes to come in and I honestly believe we still may make a signing but if not I got faith in klopp and the team.

People need to stop whining about the lack of transfer activity for LFC this summer. It is very possible that Klopp wants to keep funds aside for a high profile signing next summer and has enough faith in our current squad to replicate the success of last season. I am sure that IF the team is struggling a little until December, Klopp will no doubt dip into the market in January.

And no one thinks we shouldnâ€™t strengthen Ed025, but the window isnâ€™t even closed yet. The annoyance comes from the notion that the club isnâ€™t spending for the sake of it. If the right player is there, the club will move. If the right player isnâ€™t there itâ€™s important to be able to afford them when they are. Scouting department has been fantastic these last few years, finding gems like Roberson and combing Klopp to go for salah. Trust them.

You canâ€™t tar everyone with the same brush Eamon mate, not everyone is annoyed that the club is spending for the sake of it.

The acid test will be Christmas and January. Last season we were 7 points clear of city with the same games played on the 30th December.

If you remember, West Ham away and Leicester at home really showed how the games had caught up with us and again draws at home to Bayern then especially United away who had a really depleted team, showed that when the front three were snuffed out of the game, we failed to score. This was exactly the same with Everton away.

This Christmas period will be even more testing with a trio to Qatar sandwiched in between the the already congested festive period.

So itâ€™s not about signing players for the sake of it, just lol at the situation objectively.

If weâ€™re crowned PL champions at the end of the season, Iâ€™ll be the first to hold my hands up.

Eamonsf, if you listened to jurgens comments yesterday then that is nonsense. We can't spend this season because nobody has left, not sure why this is hard to understand, the manager is telling you we can't buy players this season. If Salah went for Â£200 million, 3 players would of been bought. I understand why a lot of you bury your heads in the sand because you don't want to be critical. You all need to just be honest and call it like it is.
