not only have they got those little chunks of money but surely with the departure of Sturridge, Moreno and of course Mignolet, Liverpool have saved a considerable amount on wages going forward. Financial prudence going forward is very important, not falling foul of FFP etc and paying for the stadium has to be a factor too. For me it is a vote of confidence for a group of players who have not yet peaked and now it is about integrating some exceptional young lads into the elite group and seeing how much they grow. Lots of games, injuries to come to, so let's just enjoy the ride. I feel a n inner steel to this group of players and really see this as the beginning of something special. Many have gone on about Keita and the Ox being like new signings, but Keita was beginning to look the business and for the OX, its going to take a while for him to trust his legs not to let him down, aka Sturridge (except Sturridge had no tolerance to pain) . Some of the youngsters are going to have a big part to play in cup competitions and let's just see how they go. I suspect next season that Salah will be gone but if he has another 25 goal season he will have earned his keep so cash in and just buy quality that improves the team, something that is hard to do right now.
