Didn’t the hull manager publicly say he wanted Kane on loan?

Assume we priced Kent out of any move, will he just become a squad player for us then?

Is the Scottish window still
Open?

{Ed001's Note - yes.}

We can still loan them to European teams until the end of the month (or sell, of course)

European and Scottish clubs can still sign them. Possible loans for one or two other youngsters still to come also.

I guess we have sent quite a few to germany, would be a big step for him but think it could pay off!

Cant they still be loaned to championship clubs? Not sure if that window is shut yet, it used to stay open longer if I remember correctly.

{Ed001's Note - Championship window is closed but everyone below that level, such as Scotland, is still open.}

I think Kane should be pushing above the Scottish league.

Ed 001
Kind of piggyback on the above. I am curious as to comparing the level of the Championship, MLS, SPL. I Ike could a Championship side compete in the SPL, or an MLS side compete in the Championship. I live in Orlando and watch MLS occasionally. Just curious as to your thoughts
Thanks
Matt in FL.

{Ed001's Note - MLS is not a good league, the quality is appalling technically, the SPFL has 2 sides way ahead of the rest so it is difficult to compare. If you put any of the teams into the Championship as they stand, they would all struggle to adapt. Celtic and Rangers might be competitive and the MLS teams might be up to the mark physically and be able to use that to pick up results. Overall though none of them are likely to compete at the top end without major surgery on their teams. Mind, having said that, the Championship is such an odd league, as it is so physically demanding that any team that can keep a core fit and firing has a chance.}

Thanks Ed.

{Ed001's Note - very welcome.}

Ed I like your point on the championship being so unpredictable year after year. Teams who can regularly play their strongest 11 consistently have the best joy and
squads with the best individual abilities of players on paper can often struggle. The likes of Leeds, derby, nott forest keep coming up short despite being tipped every year while we've seen the likes of Huddersfield, Bournemouth, Brighton come up strong. The likes of wolves, Leicester, Southampton even climbing 2 divisions in couple of years shows how hard it is to call.

I think Celtic and rangers would not find it easy. The likes of mcgeady, commons, kris boyd, kenny miller, stokes, naismith, sinclair to name a few have all shown to be the top players in SPL at some point but could never prove to be anything more than championship level standard.

{Ed001's Note - Leeds and Forest have not been tipped for a long time mate. Only the arrival of Bielsa last summer changed things for Leeds. Burnley and Cardiff are the best examples of teams that were expected to struggle but instead won promotion. First time around Burnley were literally coming into the season off the back of a firesale to keep the club alive.}

Ah fair enough I always thought that Leeds and forest were so often just missing out on play off spots every season. Forgot about burnley actually, good shout.

{Ed001's Note - they were both in League One recently mate.}
