It's great to be 5 points clear after 5 games but what we can't do is rely on other teams to do our job for us. Simple fact is we have to beat City this season, not take a solitary point off them like we did last season and hope from Janurary on ward everyone else does our job for us. It's going to be a great season and we look like we can do what we did last year and then some. But we must not think that beacuse City have dropped a few points we can sit back and relax, we need to beat them, at least once and we will be champions .

We need to keep our key men injury free, if we lose VVD, Firmino, Fabinho, Mane and Salah for any length of time then we are in trouble. Look at city today despite assembling a billion pound squad, they have lost there best defender and they were a shambles at the back.
Take it one game at a time, respect the opposition and we will have a great chance of title 19, let's remember though its only 5 games played and how we manage December will be key I feel.
Its a pleasure watching this Liverpool side play there football and I still feel we have a couple more gears to go into should we need it.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend fellow reds and Editors.

OP, I don't get your post. Who is relying on other teams to do our jobs for us? I'm certainly not doing that. We have never relied on other teams to do us a favor. We did not win the PL last season cos we did not do enough in certain games when we had a bad patch. It had nothing to do relying on other teams, IMO. That is not the way Klopp and the players approach games cos the proof is that they got near 100 points last season and lost just one game (a 50/ 50 vs City) . Do fans do that? Maybe and they should not do that.

We as fans as you say, should be focusing on ourselves and on our games alone. We have won 5 in a row. City have stumbled twice already. That is City's problem and that has nothing to do with us and I'm sure that our boys and Klopp won't care either.

For me, the players and management are focused on each game which is why we have won EVERY game since the season began. Fans should adopt this mantra, IMO. If we keep that going (meaning focusing on ourselves) we will be fine. Will we drop points? Absolutely BUT the longer we continue the this winning run then we will be able to cope when we do drop points.

Do not even mention title 19 now. As Klopp always says, take it one game at a time.

It really doesn't matter what we do the title is city's and will be for the foreseeable future. 2nd is ours arsenal 3rd spurs or utd 4th.

{Ed001's Note - didn't you say last season Arsenal were going to be second?}

Walter, that's not really true. If we win every single game remaining, we'd finish at least 5 points above city, so really, it matters a lot what we do. Good to see you though, hope you and the fam are doing well.

We just need to avoid getting beat at the Emptyhad and then beat them at Anfield. The rest will take care of itself enroute to our coronation as the 2019-20 BPL champions.

We will be Champions. (Trying my hand at the prediction thing also ☺️)

Arsenal 3rd, yeah?

Not with epic goal kick routines like that one today. Who in their right mind takes rolls a set piece across their own six yard line with three opposition players waiting to rush the penalty box?

Rugby Parker, if we win every single remaining game we'll finish at least 11 points better off than City ;-)
