He can be our back up right back for now as wat other right back in world football provides the creativity from that position, trent progressing too midfield will take time as our midfield is all about graft and work rate it will happen but gradually.

Not so fast, Southern. That kid still needs a tonne of work. I do admire his tenacity and determination and will to win cos w/ o that, he does not produce he best cross of the game that brought the 5th goal. That attitude should bode well for him going forward.

I don't get what the big thing is about getting Trent into midfield when are fullbacks are so important to the way we play. As for Williams he is only a young kid but all ready you can see he is nowhere near the standard of Trent so why would you want to weaken one of are most creative parts of the team.

its way too early to say that and i also think that Trent brings more to the table right now as a fullback. the defensive experience he is getting now (i think he has also improved in this aspect) will be very useful if/ when he actually moves to midfield.

a composed midfielder with a great passing range, great workrate and great defensive capabilities? sounds good to me.

I think the idea is trent can influence the game much more if he is playing right side of midfield. This would mean that the rb would then be playing more defensive as the rm (trent) would be more attacking.
