We need to win the PL before we’re back on our perch, in my opinion, and to be honest probably at least draw level with them.

IR and Ed25, to me it is relevant and it always has been Liverpool or not. To qualify for the Super Cup, you have to win one of either of Europe's big trophies as in Ol' Big Ears or Ol'Small Ears (Europa League) to play in it, unlike the Community Shield (I agree, could not be arsed) where you can be second in the PL and still get to play in it if the other team wins the Double. Oh, and NO Extra Time needed here.

Also, the Super Cup is on the official UEFA calendar as an official comp. (you can disagree with that BUT the facts don't change here) and to win, you have to actually play extra time if need be, which is how all official games work in every final. So I guess my question to you both is: How can a trophy be meaningLESS if you have to win something meaningFULL to play for a chance to win it? Same for the CWC. I await your response. Peace!

{Ed025's Note - its peripheral to the winning of the CL, a bi-product of old big ears if you will, trying to justify the playing of extra time as the catalyst for its importance is really clutching at straws to be honest, you have your opinion and i have mine so i think we should leave it at that in this season of good will, maybe after the holiday you can change your name again and we can discuss it further...peace and tranquility..
