Ed001 what's your thoughts on Keita last night and as a whole. I thought his passing was very poor last night like all ways when he gets back from injury then just as he hits form his out again for 4weeks+. This is his second season and I think when he come we all thought he would be one of the first choices in the midfield like Fabinho. But his got to be 5th behind main 3 and ox do you think he will get much longer to prove his self or do you think next season might be make or break for him before there is no resale in him.

{Ed001's Note - he was poor at times last night, he was very timid with his passing and runs. First game back, so I am fine with that if it wasn't, as you say, part of a pattern of injuries and time off. I think the only reason he might still be here next season is because of others leaving. All down to those constant injuries, which make him a complete waste of time keeping.}

For me Keita has a poor game yesterday but only coz I know he is capable of so much more
Still seems to be our best midfielder to pick a pass through the eye of a needle but he just need 15 -20 games in a row to get the rhythm in his game
Imo the guy will be a special player for us klopp sees something in him so I’m willing to stay a little more patient but he needs to stay injury free.

I really don’t see him making it, has he mastered English? We all seem to be waiting for this maradonnna.

Johncrow I think he should get another season but I think with Curtis coming through I think next year might be his last chance. But am not sure about being are best passer in the midfield I think are main 3 have all got a good eye for a pass there was one pass from Henderson last night and if it had been KDB or Gerrard they would have been waxing lyrical all night but they never said a word.

I think Keita's time with us will be remembered as could have been, should have been and would have been. Prime example was last night; a game he could have and should have taken by the scruff of the neck. High swirling winds made long balls and passes useless. Even corners and crosses were difficult. So ideally, a player with his skill should have been taking the ball on the ground and up the field to provide passes and danger through the middle. Something I think he was brought in to do. But we saw very little of that. And then there is the poor finishing and the mistimed tackles. It's no secret our play improved substantially the moment Hendo was moved up and started spraying passes through the middle and driving forward with the ball. Yes, Mane and Fabinho were brought in, but the key was Hendo playing the role Keita should be playing. I'm sure Keita was thought to be the solution for teams packing 10 players behind the ball, against us. A No.8 that could instantly turn into a No.10. It hasn't worked.

{Ed025's Note - i agree mate..

In my opinion nobody outside of defence played that well yesterday bar Firmino in the first half, Mane when he came on and Henderson when he moved more forward.

I’d love to know whether Keira’s problems have been freak bad luck or whether it’s more to it than that.

On subject of injuries what has happened to Shaqiri this season? More injury prone than Keita!

The thing with Keita for me is that fine he was poor, but he did not stop looking for the ball, and moving us forward. His passes weren’t the best, but it was the right idea, just executed badly. If next week, one comes off, it’s a goal.

{Ed025's Note - lets be honest here firmane...he was bloody awful and has been since he arrived, just tell the truth mate..

Keita showed a few glimses while running with the ball, but very rusty. Grino as you say that Hendo pass was real quality.

I’m always hopeful a player will turn it around, right up until he leaves. If his attitude is right, and he gets his his head down working, I think he’s got the ability to raise our game.

Morning ed025 hope your well mate
On Keita totally disagree with you there hasn’t been great but hasn’t been that bad no more then Shaqiri or Hendo when he first came or even gini who took a while before fans warmed to him
I believe he will come good and the thing is in intelligence to see a pass is there just the confidence and consistency to pull it off at this time is not but it will come
Him and ox are still the only two we have in midfield who get the ball and drive forward no side passing business just drive forward. Looking to play a through ball or shoot.

{Ed025's Note - hi john, he has been a bitter disappointment for me, i watched him at RBL and thought he was great but he looks like a fish out of water with liverpool mate, but of course you are a typical red who cant see anything wrong with a player in a red shirt.. :)

I’d rather not say anything about Naby I’ve nothing positive to say. But what I will add is once again we’ve seen that Ox is no longer a wide man, we needed him in Nabys position shooting from distance in the conditions. Back to normal Tuesday Strongest team available.

Kieta was poor in spells last night but so were quite a few players. He tried a few risky passes that never came off. Was that down to rustiness or the weather or just a lack of quality on his behalf, it’s hard to give a definitive answer. Personally I thought we looked toothless in attack yesterday with Mo and Ox and even though Bobby showed some touches of class they never resulted in anything. Mane coming on was a massive game changer for us and he looked our best player in his short spell after being out for a few weeks. The most important thing is we got the win and there is plenty of football left for each and every player to stake their claim to be in Klopps match day squads next season.

{Ed001's Note - it really doesn't matter, the point is Keita can't stay fit.}

Ed001 totally agree mate that he hasn’t been able to stay fit. My closing point was meant for all the squad players have plenty of game time left this season to potentially stake claims for next season.

{Ed001's Note - sorry I meant to say, he just needs to stay fit, not worry about how he performs, it is just about being in a position to perform. If he gets injured again, even if he has been playing brilliantly, then his position becomes untenable imo.}

I’ve seen enough of Naby live to say there is certainly a player there. He has good vision and has shown this. It’s just a real shame he can’t keep fit.

I thought the exact same thing about the Henderson pass. 70 yarder, right to the foot (salah? )

Ed025 lol I’m no fan of lovren or Adam Lallana and Was delighted to see Simon mignolet leave and danced a jig when balotelli lambert and downing left so I can see the wood for the trees mate
I just feel Keita is getting a little bit of a raw deal from some
And that is his own making bcoz of what he done in Germany
Until he start putting on the performances he will have to accept some doubt him.

{Ed025's Note - he is obviously a good player john, but he has done nothing for me to suggest he should be starting games mate..
