Did Keita play only in exhibition games when he was in Germany? He's injured again.

It is very very strange and Klopp must be losing patience. Real shame, we need someone who can break forward and make chances from midfield - same with Shaq! What’s is issue now! Minor niggles that last months! Minimino needs a run then we can see what he can do. Looked sharp when he came on,

He does seem to be made of glass, be interesting if Klopp keeps him into next season.

But if we did sell him it surely would be at a loss as I'd be amazed if anyone paid the figure we did for him.

Both keita and shaq need to leave. There’s absolutely no point paying them massive money to always be injured! Oh and while am having a moan lovern can join them no where near good enough anymore.

I appreciate your opinion on Lovren, but he is a good option to have at the back. And the man hasn't played regularly. He was far from the worst on the day. Cut the man some slack.

Matt in FL.

Lovren needs a game or two after injuries to get up to match sharpness. Some players, Gomez included are the same.

Its only because all our players with the exception of Allison, were crap that we didn't get away with it.

Just to get involved in this (probably to be derided) :

Keita does need to leave. He's an expensive resource costing decent money in wages that can't be relied upon 2 years down the line. I was all for giving him a chance into 2020 as it can take foreign players some time to settle, but more than 2 seasons is a little too much (unless they are teenagers, which Keita isn't) . Yes we'll make a loss, but I'd rather cut our losses and free up a berth in the team. I would guess that he might command £30-£35m in this market.

Shaq I would also sell, for similar reasons - can't be relied upon. To a certain extent we have already replaced him in Minamino. I would suggest he would still command £20-£25m in this market and would go some way towards offseting the absolute loss from Keita.

Lovren - I know he wasn't to blame for Saturday. But I still think, at the age of 30, he should make way and for his sake, get some regular game time. I doubt we would recover what he cost, but probably £15-£20m.

Lallana will be off also on a free.

I don't think we should rush to replace, instead going for the 1-2 special players who can help move us further along.

I would love to get Havertz. He can really challenge in our midfield, has a lot of growth room at the age of only 20/ 21 and we need a player who can gradually start commanding the midfield as Hendo does.

Werner, to me, is a no-brainer if he is happy to wait his turn. I don't doubt that Salah or Mane may leave in the next season or two, and I'd like to think we already have a player in our team who can step up.

I would probably look towards a defender to replace Lovren - someone like Johnathan Tah would be my pick - unless either Van Den Berg or Hoever is ready to step up next season to be support for Gomez, VVD and Matip.

I'd like to see Curtis Jones get regular bench time with a few interspersed starts next season and I do believe that Neco Williams and Laroucci/ Lewis are decent backups for our fantastic full backs!

If Adrian leaves, I don't think Kelleher, from what I have seen of him so far, is ready to deputise for Alisson. The Turkish keeper could be a good investment.

That's my view, anyway!

It cracks me up when people come on here to slag Lovren off and can't even spell his name correctly.
Way to make yourselves look real clever.

Lovern and Shirlie instead of Lovren and Shaqiri, maybe?
