Good evening Ed002

Anything of note or significant cone off today's meeting mate that your aware of?

{Ed002's Note - No the formal part of the meeting dealt with a specific matter that is not really for discussion. After that the clubs discussed what was happening in different countries and what they felt should happen.}

15 Apr 2020 20:11:42
Any chance we will follow the Scots ed002? It seems to make the most sense but maybe without relegation?

{Ed002's Note - Well that is not following them? The idea is not on the table right now.}

2.) 15 Apr 2020
15 Apr 2020 20:20:55
What is happening/ or are they planning to happen in other countries Ed? I see German and Spanish clubs are slowly returning to training.

{Ed002's Note - It varies across the board.}

3.) 15 Apr 2020
15 Apr 2020 20:46:07
Ed if theScottish Championship, Div1 and 2 are ending mate. Are the teams currently leading being awarded the title? Dundee Utd, Raith and Cove.

{Ed002's Note - Yes.}

4.) 15 Apr 2020
15 Apr 2020 21:14:16
Are you allowed to expand?

{Ed002's Note - It was the view of the clubs today - and not what is happening. It was a mix between those who want to draw the line across now.’ Those who want everything complete by the end of June and some who really don’t know. It is not unlike the situation in England. It remains a very difficult situation and it is not one for the “elite” sides to decide on. They can give an opinion but there is no single body to give it to, so it would be meaningless and a bit of a wet finger in the wind. But the clubs are all concerned.}

5.) 15 Apr 2020
15 Apr 2020 21:51:16
Cheers Ed, brings me to ask the question that you no doubt won’t be happy with me asking mate, if those clubs are awarded the title then why is it Liverpool won’t be if our season is voided?

{Ed002's Note - It has nothing to do with Liverpool at all.}

6.) 15 Apr 2020
15 Apr 2020 22:00:26
Would you really want to be "awarded" the league rather than win it?

7.) 16 Apr 2020
16 Apr 2020 05:57:28
Dbrooks90 - yes, I would.
I want excellence to be rewarded, as opposed to rewarding mediocrity and failure (no relegation) .
That is mean spirited, unfair and wrong.

8.) 16 Apr 2020
16 Apr 2020 07:21:18
I agree Juicer, doesn’t appear that option is on the table at all though mate does it. Those teams given the title because they are top as there leagues are voided but if the prem is voided then no team is crowned champions, hard to take and accept how these decisions are made but I guess it’s out if our control. It’s gong to end only one way, the way we all are dreading mate .

9.) 16 Apr 2020
16 Apr 2020 10:18:02
Whatever the outcome this liverpool team will still be remembered as one of the best.

I would be happy to be awarded it as it's not like we wouldn't have won it.

If we were 6 points clear then that would be different, but 25 POINTS only leaves one outcome.

10.) 16 Apr 2020
16 Apr 2020 11:25:58
I would always want something have been won outright liverpool should be rewarded with the prize money for a first and champions League football but they haven't won it so shouldn't be given it not team should that's just my opinion. Liverpool are a good team and have a good chance of winning the league outright next season don't they? So why all the stress about needing to given it this year?

{Ed002's Note - That is because Liverpool have played exceptionally well this season and no other club has made a fist of getting even close - as Liverpool did last season with Manchester City.}

11.) 16 Apr 2020
16 Apr 2020 12:07:16
I think the players deserve it for what they did on the pitch personally. Their achievements won't be matched imo.

But everyone saying we are good enough to go and win it next year, our team is good enough without a doubt. But city will put up much more of a fight, so will the likes of chelsea and united. Let's not get arrogant and think it's a done deal and remember we are a club that hasn't won it for 30 years and been close in that time on 3-4 occasions.

12.) 16 Apr 2020
16 Apr 2020 13:41:02
WYred it should be closer next season but that's what everyone said this season, so you just never now.

There have been quite a few games this season where we have been very poor, so still plenty of room for improvement for next season.

13.) 16 Apr 2020
16 Apr 2020 15:50:07
I'd actually be concerned for our players mentality and focus next season.
Imagine losing by 1 point to City then having the most historic record made worthless.
It would surely take its toll.

14.) 16 Apr 2020
16 Apr 2020 17:37:57
Ed as it stands right now it is likely we won’t be champions unless the league is completed, right?

{Ed002's Note - I have explained the situation for weeks - nothing has changed. You have to stop making these little scenarios up in your head. Nothing discussed tomorrow will be about Liverpool specifically.}

15.) 16 Apr 2020
16 Apr 2020 18:50:26
Fair enough Ed, sorry mate. Think I need to chill a bit and accept whatever comes.

{Ed002's Note - The situation remains completely unchanged and on Friday the PL will re-affirm it won’t be starting any time soon - and that they are considering options for completing the season. There remains a push from an increasing number of clubs to close out the season now and be done with it. And again that opens up a number of options.}

16.) 16 Apr 2020
16 Apr 2020 19:57:14
Considering options for completing the season, I think it’s because I just can’t see many that end the way I want it I’ve almost accepted it being voided I guess. Ok Ed thank you again. Have a good evening mate.

{Ed002's Note - I suspect you don't understand what "voided" means. It may not end as you think.}

17.) 16 Apr 2020
16 Apr 2020 21:16:02
DTD, void would mean the season is scrubbed from the record books, I doubt that'll happen.

18.) 16 Apr 2020
16 Apr 2020 23:09:00
WYred. Sorry mate I was presuming void meant season ends now, WBA and Leeds get promoted with know relegations. Europe top 6 as it is now pending City’s situation and know champions announced. Is that not correct?

{Ed002's Note - No, Voiding the season means scratching it entirely from the record books and it starts again next season.}

19.) 16 Apr 2020
16 Apr 2020 23:10:09
Or is there a scenario that still sees us announced Champions? Know I didn’t think so mate.

{Ed002's Note - I have explained repeatedly that would likely require a black ball vote where all of the other sides have to vote for it or abstain from voting. Liverpool can request that if they wish once a means to end the season, if it cannot be completed, has been decided.}

20.) 17 Apr 2020
17 Apr 2020 10:18:17
Ok Ed cheers, and the vote would need all 20 clubs to vote yes on it I presume.

{Ed002's Note - No.}

21.) 17 Apr 2020
17 Apr 2020 16:22:12
I think it would need all voters to agree, without one deciding against (obviously not including those who abstain from voting) .
