I would like all opinions please. With our current money situation I think we need to be more strategic in our recruiting. I like the signings from last summer and in January. Very shrewd in my view.

I'm not in any way advocating that we become a selling club like Dortmund. But, we do not have the finances that City or Chelsea have. In my opinion, we have to be more ruthless. I am in no way saying that selling Mane would be a good thing. He's my favorite player by miles and I would be gutted to lose him, I'm just using him as an example.

If we sold him and got an instant impact player and a younger player for the future, wouldn't we be better in the long term? For me, there are 4 playeres who I would absolutely not sell. Alisson, VVD, Henderson, TAA. Anyone else, I would listen but the negotiation be very difficult for the club who is looking to buy. If one of the 4 previously mentioned tried to leave, I would make it extremely painful financially for the pursuing club.

So, for me it is more important for us than City or Chelsea to have the strongest scouting team in the world because we just can't fork out the money that they can. We have to look under every stone to find bargains.

The other thing I would do is tell Klopp to shut the f up and stop tapping up players. He's costing us much more money for players because he won't shut up. I would also always have 3 managers in mind in the event Klopp decided to leave.

I'm sure they are doing this already. We have to be even more strategic than most clubs and out work them because we simply don't have the finances. I hope this makes sense and welcome all responses.

Stone, I would def add Mane to your Keep List, I would much rather Salah be sold to raise some transfer money, he has been poor for weeks now and maybe now he has won the Premier League with us he wants that last big move,
I do agree that we need to be clever with our inns and outs,
I would sell all the player not getting a game like the Shaq, Wilson, and more,
money is a big deal now so let's be clever .

I think we already have been smart Stone.

If this was the Rodgers era he would have bought a back up CB, back up RB and a 6th choice CM. Instead we've promoted from within an saved ourselves a great deal of money using the likes of Williams, Jones, Elliott.

I'm hoping that we can get the Thiago deal done as that is the player Klopp wants, and I think that would probably conclude our business.

Question for the Ed’s and all the other posters if we had to sell one of the front 3 who would you chose it to be? For me I know it won’t be a popular answer but I would rather lose Firmino than Salah and Mane. That’s not me saying we should sell him I’m just answering my own question of if we had to sell one.

I would add Mane and Robertson to your list.

Robertson is so important to the way Klopp likes to play. As for a replacement for Salah Errr i need help with that one.

I do think that Curtis Jones will save us a lot of £££££'s .

Thank you all. It seems that for the most part we are on the same page. I do agree that I should have included Robertson. I do LOVE the potential of Jones and I’m excited about Brewster.

I still can’t believe Salah still gets stick from some fans.

Having been lucky enough to watch him live on more than one occasion, his work rate and movement for the team goes under the radar so much.

But yet he seems to be the scapegoat for some fans and media for “he doesn’t do much else if he isn’t scoring”. Absolute load of bull.
