Seems a fair assessment of him. I keep wondering if maybe a stronger coach could get him to more effort into the defensive part of his game. He really does have all the tools to be a proper box the box kind of player.

Spot on, Ed. Tielemans is a very good player IF and only if you can build a wall behind him as in put players around him to do his dog work cos tracking back is not his team. I remember once when Leicester played us at Anfield and you only knew he was playing whenever they were in possession or on the front foot. Without that, you wouldn't know he was playing. Right there, I knew this guy tho very talented, will not get any better than he already is and that was a couple of years ago. He is still the same way now, as you have said.

This summer, I saw a lot of posters saying we should sign him and I always laughed. What Klopp loves the most about any of his mid's is actually what they do when we lose the ball and not when we have it and Tielemans will be a liability for us when out of possession. We already have Naby to deal with whenever that happens. Don't need another player with such a trait.
