I agree that a few players should be dropped but do we have adequate replacements. Guardiola can afford to field a different team without loss of quality. Ten Hag dropped Slab head and Ronaldo and the team is much better now. In defence, we drop Van Dyjk and bring on Konate, replace Trent with Ramsey or Gomes. But we have no options in the midfield, unless we stick with the youngsters along with one senior midfielder. I don't know but a change is needed.

You mean like play Trent in midfield and Gomes or Ramsey at right back? That may work but if the attitude of a player is not spot on, they should be dropped cos no matter what the system is, it won't work.

Playing Trent in midfield won’t be happening anytime soon and besides, switching positions when the team is severely screwed confidence wise (Trent esp), is not ideal right now as it will only cause even more problems of adaptation and all that. Not what we need, I’m afraid.

Diaz with the CAM free role position constantly interchanging with Salah.

This would keep us a lot more solid.

Exactly Fly. If, as some have suggested, Pep has convinced Klopp to change the system, then change back to what works. You fit system for the players you have, not the other way around. Get back to basics and what has worked in the past.

Problem is Stone. We don’t have the midfielders for the pressing we used to do. Not one of our midfielders are what you’d describe as dynamic or energetic. It’s going to be a very long hard slog to the break for the World Cup.
