At the risk of much criticism I'll just say that the club should listen and consider offers for anyone except for Nunez, Becker and salah. Shambolic performance. The club are seriously suffering from an awful transfer strategy. We need a strong DOF who is not afraid to make hard decisions. Holding on to players too long is seriously hurting this club. Knee jerk reaction? Maybe but it's the truth.

If klopp is here next season which I expect, the great managers learn a lot in these kind of seasons. There's a few bad eggs in that squad and it's truly been exposed this season. Attitude, big ego you might want to call it but when your backs against the wall and you see certain players antics consistently now big decisions should be made.
With what's gone on this season and klopp looking at times out of depth Id be very surprised if big decisions are to be made by klopp anyway.
There's some big earners who were wrongly given contract extensions. Unfortunately because there's a lot of change this summer they might be saved.
How to change this? Begins with klopp. Not fsg. Klopp. If klopp can't change this which I think many now truly question it's then up to fsg. If klopp is to change it he has to return us to a pressing team. He has to. If he continues with this madness there'll be more tears and he will be out the door.
It's also a real shame how no "pundits" ask why we look so unfit. Behind the scenes seems another mess.

100% agree stone. City are not afraid to sell some of their best players if they identify improvements, whereas we have held onto our best players until they have deteriorated and lost value, not reinvested as a result and now those same players are still are best despite being a shadow of their former selves.

I would add Gapko and Elliot to your list though. I don’t think they have done much wrong this season and critically have always put a shift in even when not playing particularly well, more than I can say for most of the team. Might sound like madness but I would actually sell Salah if a good offer came in for the exact same reason as per my first paragraph.

I'd add Salah to that. Yes he's scored some goals but look back through the season he's missed some sitters and shot where he could have passed for a certain goal.
Salah has cost us some points this season.

Where is Curtis Jones? If he can’t get in the team then he probably never will.

Gakpo is showing glimpses why we signed him and has only just come in through the door. He should be on the keep list. Salah, IMO, should not be sold. Maybe dropped for average performances, but imagine selling statistically our best player. What do you think that is going to do to our league position?

Why does Nunez escape the cull?

The more we lose, the more serious they will be for the summer / rebuild. If we had won they would seriously think it’s lack of form. Now they have a job in their hand. They will need to spend and spend heavy. A price you pay for neglecting for years!
I have never rated Trent as a defender. Yes he can cross but that’s it. He has absolutely nothing else to his game! And posters wanted him in midfield lol.

If we sell Salah then we have to find a lightning quick, skilful, wide player capable or getting double figures in goals and almost as many assists every season, those players don’t come a dime a dozen and we don’t have the funds to buy Mbappe or anyone top class as well as fix our defence and midfield.

Dragons - Trent has far more to his game than crossing. He has the best vision and is the best passer of the ball in the team, midfielder traits if I ever heard them. He also played his entire youth career in midfield and as you say is shown up defensively consistently. All those things point to him being a natural midfielder so I don’t think it’s any surprise people are asking for it.

{Ed025's Note - i dont want this to sound like a witch hunt westwood...but has he?, can he tackle?, has he got positional sense? is he good in the air? come on mate you are all talking about how poor your midfield is because they lack intensity and dont press and are pulled out of position easily, yet you want trent in there when he is the weakest in the squad at all those things, maybe its just me mate?..

All fair points Ed025, I’m just thinking of playing him where his strengths might be best utilised is all. Who knows until you try right? It wasn’t all that long ago he was being called the best RB in the world. Iv never believed he was a RB personally and if someone found me a right footed version of Robertson he’d start over Trent all day for me.

{Ed025's Note - im going on the premise that klopp knows what hes doing westwood, he sees him every day in training and im sure he will have experimented with him in midfield mate, we have seen before that he can do a good job at fullback but he needs to step up and take responsibility without the reliance of other players covering his arse..
