It would take me all night to say what I want on the game. Most people have echoed my thoughts so I will spare you the rant. What I will say though is our team is better than we imagined. Even with ten men I fancied us to win. As for spurs they won't get top 4 this year me thinks. Hope all prem teams come out and say they don't want to play with the use of var.

Scouse John I hear you but Spurs will definitely get top 4 because people will make millions from it. Think about it.

What were the odds of Spurs getting top 4 after losing Kane? 10-1? 25-1? 50-1? I’m don’t bet so I’m not sure but I’m sure the odds were quite long.

Tonight has proven that there are forces at play to ensure they do get at least top 4 regardless of how good or bad they are.

We can all accept subjective decisions. We all are biased when it comes to subjective decisions. When it comes to offsides we are told it’s black and white so it can’t be incorrect. There can’t be any bias. Tonight we not only saw some ridiculous subjective decisions go against us but we saw a black and white offside decision called incorrectly too. Is that coincidence? It can’t be.

We even got to a point where at 1-1 and down to 9 men we were on a quick break and the ref was pulling us back for our own free kick on the halfway line. I’ve watched a lot of premier league games and they ALWAYS play the advantage if you’re on the break. Why not tonight?

Something stinks.

The only possible option here is to sack the officials and replay the game. It’s the only way to convince people that cheating will not be tolerated and to let the corrupt officials know that they can’t get away with it.

Unfortunately it won’t happen and the officials will continue to manufacture results for their own gain.

Apologies mean nothing when the points are tallied up at the end of the season.

It's fair to say that the refs abysmal performance cost us the game and our played well bar Jota.

Onto the next game and you would hope the refs up their game reffing our games as they have been very unkined this year.

Agreed. Defensively today I thought we were outstanding with 11, 10 and then 9 players. I thought with 10 we'd win the game. With 9 I thought we'd hold on.

VAR: the biggest issue w VAR is it's given birth to massive amounts of cheating and time wasting. The players have a responsibility for the on-field product and constantly conning the refs has made reffing an almost impossible ask. Add to the mix referees of the utmost incompetency and this is what's left. Inconsistencies in refereeing are destroying the game. When we play a team like City, the refs let us play and let the tackles fly. When we play a team like Everton or Villa etc who come to role about, fall down, feign head injuries, it's given full license by the referees. Just like a 4-4-2 is a tactic, so now is time wasting. Whether we are playing the local Sunday league team or Real Madrid, the standard of refereeing and expectations of the players needs to be a constant. Sure mistakes will be made but VAR SHOULD clean up the big ones. Sadly that's far from the case.

When we go to work we all want to perform and raise the bar for others. Sadly all we get from the PGMOL is a blind arrogance. They cost us the league title imo the year before last and it could well turn out to be the case after today. These things used to even themselves out so to speak but I don't see today's error ever being repeated.

Of all the yellows awarded today, the one def one NOT awarded was Kulesevski diving in our box trying to "win" the late spot kick. First dive of the match yellow card. Try doing it again. Also this new "standard" of booking players for throwing away the ball seems to have stopped. More inconsistencies. At least one Spurts player did that today and nothing given.

The bottom line tho for me is that the refs and players, especially w the advent of VAR, have brought so much unnecessary controversy into the game. Like typical politicians, they pile more bad policy on top of bad policy instead of simply going back to how it was when it wasn't so nearly as broken. Another rant off.

Becks don't agree they get top 4. Chelsea will hit some form here soon and United can't continue to play this badly. Brighton are a better side than Spurts. Deny Madison the ball and it stops 80% of what they do.

I said same tho we had a corner and the ref pulled it back for the foul. That happened twice in the game. The "foul" that Salah committed on Bissouma was never a foul and I feel certain that if Mo didn't finish that off then Diaz would have had a tap in from Mo. That was 2-1 to us. So many awful decisions against us.

When Jones went off I thought if we stay calm we've shown we can work miracles so I wasn't overly concerned. But knowing the decisions that were to come I'd have thought we'd get a hiding. The fact that we didn't will motivate the boys, bring them together even more and be stronger and more determined for it.

But unfortunately for us Becks all we get from the refs is a wall of silence. It's maddening to say the least how they make such game defining errors yet keep their jobs and are not held accountable.

It's hard to be positive when we have to witness such utter incompetence by officials but what a team we have, the lads did the best they could and considering the circumstances I think they did really well.
Even when we got down to 9 men I had a feeling we'd snatch it but with them decisions we didn't stand a chance. It just goes to show it doesn't matter how well you do in a game, if the officials aren't doing their jobs properly! we're buggered.

Will anything change? of course it won't, we'd be fools to believe it will. It'll be just brushed under the carpet, same old.

So who is making millions by Spurs getting top four, Beckers?
This is all getting a bit tin foil hat and false moon landings for me.

Something is definitely dodgy, we’ve had match fixing in Italian and Spain, you’d ant tell me the prem is squeaky clean.
The fact a still image of the worst angle was waiting the referee was a farce, very leading. Then the offside was an absolute shambles and now they’re scrambling for a fake excuse.

Salah when I used to play in the amateir leagues when I lived in France, I used to tell my team mates that it does not matter what you do or don't do, If a ref wants to screw you at all costs, ther eis nothing you can do, period.

It's like a cop who follows you in his car for 1000 kms. At some point, you will committ a trafic violation and you'll get done. It is what it is.
