Imagine a scenario where spurs beat Utd or Villa to 4th and champions league by one point and City pip Liverpool to the title by one point. It is not a case of just missing a foul or hand ball which happens; this was considered a goal by VAR but they failed to communicate it and it could have huge consequences.

Would/ could they replay the game? Maybe replay it from the Diaz goal. Would this start a precedent that we do not want?

You are having a laugh if you think the game shall be replayed. move on to the next one. the world doesn't revolve around Liverpool Unfortunately. FA ****ed up. and sure as hell they will again in future.

As terrible as it was, we need to move on now. We are not going to replay the game for a bad decision. This opens the door for any other mistake that happens in the future. I know it is easier to accept when a mistake is made on the field and not with VAR but this was just one of many major errors made by VAR. We aren't going to go back an replay all the games they've messed up in.

Yeah I don’t see a replay as a viable solution, I don’t think anyone sees the sense in that.

For once, I agree with Harry. At least partially. The game will never be replayed. But I don't think we should just move on without doing anything. The club is taking the right action by not letting it go and escalating it as far as it can go. Even if there are no positive results from that, it sends the message that we won't be bullied and that we won't be taking injustices lying down.

{Ed002's Note - There is no possibility for the game to be replayed - the rules forbid it.}

Awk the game cannot be replayed and to be honest, if these types of errors only happened a few times a season then fair enough, mistakes happen.

However, this is what the 14th apology the PGMOL have given to clubs and we're only 7 games into the season?

Look there is clearly something wrong with officiating if there has been so many issues and apologies just 7 games into the new season - all clubs would like is an acknowledgement of issues/ errors and a plan to fix it - some notion of forward thinking.

All that happens is officials are stood down a week, the effected club gets an apology and that is that.

Well the rules need changing then we have been cost titles from consistent rubbish calls that benefit other teams and hurts us city have cheated for 10 years and no doubt all cups won won't be striped over some bs rules forbid that.

{Ed025's Note - its not just Liverpool who get a raw deal danny, most teams have suffered just as much as the reds mate...and some more..

No doubt they have but having a dictator stale of punishing anyone that calls it out and just saying sorry get on with it needs changing, don't want a replay just let the goal stand and give us that point assume everything after would still have happened.
