Just came across of video on youtube of Minamino talking about his time at Liverpool and how it was an awesome experience to play for such a big club, win the PL and the domestic double.

He also talked about Anfield and the atmospher specifically saying that to score in that stadium as an LFC player, is one of the most magnificent feelings he ever felt.

Top lad and even tho I felt he should have played a lot more (Klopp himself said this), the guy has nothing but good things to say about his time here at LFC. YNWA, Mino!

I think he deserved more a chance than Jota to be honest. He tried is darn hardest every time he played and actually notched up a fair amount of goals in his starts. Had a great touch and finish too, I really wish he got his chance.

You don’t need to put Jota down to make a point for Minamino mate.

Easy, I agree. I have serious reserations about Jota myself but it has nothing to do with Minamino and his comments about his time here at LFC.

Jota runs his socks off every game and Minamino never looked comfortable with the physical or mental intensity required to play in a Klopp team.

Let’s not rewrite history for the sake of contrarianism.

AW, Who is rerwriting history here? All I posted was what Minamino said about his time at LFC. That's it. I did not say he was a great player nor did I say he was better than anyone else so please, read the OP properly before you comment about anyone rewriting history or engaging in contrarianism or whatever the heck that means.

Now on this comparison with Jota, you may think Jota is hardworking and that's fine. Others like me have deep reservations about him as a player which is also fine. But him just running his socks off means sweet nothing to me cos Mino did the exact same thing whenever he played. Effort was NEVER an issue with him. Klopp not giving him more game time, was the issue.

Klopp himself said he failed Mino cos he could never get him the game time he deserved. That is not rewriting history not contrarianism or whatever. These are facts. Peace and Love.

Minamino was a good squad player but felt the premier league was too physical for him.

I think Taki had a lot to offer but didn't really get a chance with us. He's doing really well this season in France.
