hello, I haven't watched Arsenal much this season, for those who have, how do you rate them?

Do they have a team and squad that can go for the title?

How do we compare with them?

Of course, they are leading the table and on a high after similar comeback like ours, albeit deeper into stoppage time and away from home. That says something about their mentality. They also defeated City.

Will they have a sustained charged or will they fade away like last season?

I've seen arsenal in 4r5 games this season and I don't think I've seen them play well in any of them games but they've had a positive result in them all. there 2 cbs are excellent and there forwards haven't really started playing well yet, I'm sure they will click at some stage. Rice has been a magnificent signing for them, said for ages he would've been ideal for us and if we had him we be v hard stopped. I'd still make city favs at this stage with arsenal 2nd, ourselves 3rd. The goalkeeping situation is arsenal problem which I think will cost them.

Arsenal will win the league cos they hardly ever lose
Have a far better defence than Liverpool
And they are very good at beating the teams in the bottom half of the table
Which is something Liverpool are not good at

They get up for the Man U game and then a week later would lose to Burnley or sth

So I think arsenal are clear favourites for the league and are one year ahead of lfc in terms of development I think Liverpool need a few more defensive additions and then they can challenge.

Can’t help but feel they are riding their luck a bit.

Fully agree with you, Digger10 esp. on your last point about their GK situation/ fiasco which was brought to the fore last night for the upteenth time this season. This fiasco is of Arteta's making alone and that is going to hurt them when it comes to crunch time later in the season. Will they win the league? Too early to tell cos City like it or not, are still out there and whoever finishes above them will win the title. Whoever finishes ahead of Arsenal, may not win the title, IMO.

@Redrebel1, I respectfully disagree with some of your points. Arsenal and Liverpool despite playing a more open stile than Arsenal, currently possess the best defence in the PL so the whole "they have a better defence that Liverpool" schtick has NO basis in fact, based on the actual numbers.

Also, we have have a better GK situation and better all round GK's than they do cos I wouldn't trust either Raya not Ramsdale to keep my garden door shot at all. That's going to hurt them if the Havertz signing doesn't do that.

While the whole they are better at beating the lesser teams than we do" is 50-50 at best cos they drew with Fulham who had 10 men while we beat Fulham.

And we have had the tougher schedule than they have and we are just a few points behind them. Bro, I can keep going.

Lastly, Are they clear favorites? No way cos City is still out there, mind you and it's just December. And I just said that if Arsenal finish ahead of City, they will win the title. If they don't, they won't win and recent history. I don't know if they can finish ahead of City right now so nope, they aren't favorites, let a lone clear favorites.

We have lost the same amount of league games as Arsenal .

They have that uncannot knack like we did in our recent league winning season of getting late winners. They have a strong squad, a clear identity and real hunger after being so close last year - like we did when we won.

I’d say ManCity still favourites with arsenal second due to above and then us but could be close and in any order! Let’s hope we get past the potentially new manager bounce Vs Sheffield untied first….

From what i've seen, they've not been playing well and blowing teams away, they're built on a solid defence with enough talent up front to get a goal or two even when not playing great.

They'll have a blip I assume, and will have the odd result where the ball just doesn't go in for them, but I expect the current top 3 to remain close to each other for most of the season.

Whilst all the talk is of Arsenal I have to say fair play to Luton. They didn’t half give us a game and they’ve done the same to Arsenal.

Nice to see clubs giving it a go and not trying to set up to play zero football.

Arsenal are a better team I know you guys are saying they have only lost one and so have lfc ok I get it

But they are far more solid than Liverpool at the moment and I still think we have players missing to complete the team
Arsenal in my opinion have a complete team so I am saying they are ahead in the development

If lfc do buy just 2-3 additions
Then they really need to win the league and will have the means and players to do so

I still don’t think lfc are going for the league as strange as it sounds.

DirtyMic2ElectricBoogaloo, spot on. And I didn't even know that. So despite both teams having the same amount of losses, same amount of goals conceded and about the same amount of goals scored, the poster thinks they are clear favorites? Yep, must be an Arsenal fan for real.

I thought the league was decided on who had the most points. Not who had lost or conceded the least.

Perhaps the posters accusing others of not watching Liverpool are sharing their own insecurities.

I don't think Arsenal are as good as last season. The Rice-Havertz combination is not as balanced at the Partay-Xhaka one was. However, they are definitely in the title race and clearly have the spirit and focus in the camp to give it a go.

One thing I do like about them is they are much better at keeping the ball in and around the opposition penalty area and use their width better than us against low blocks - we seem to get more narrow as the game goes on. Odegaard has a great eye for a pass - something we could see from Mac Allister if we chose to play him in a more advanced midfield role.

As for Arteta. He irks me with his touchline antics. But I guess that is intentional, and our boss can be guilty of it too.

They are contenders. I think we are too.

Arsenal have so many games where they need a late winner and so far they are managing it. That won’t happen all of the time though.

They have a very weak squad with players coming on that very rarely improve the side. They have some very good players in their first 11 though and if they are lucky with injuries as they were last season they will have a chance.

A couple of injuries to key players though and you’ll see them fall away.
