The times reporting that we will go all out for a ''very talented, powerful box to box midfielder'' in january.
Wonder how much money would be available and who would actually be available?
Hope we can just get though these next few games picking up a few points so we can attract a top tallent come january.

Interesting how 'are targetting' now means 'will go all out for.' As long as it's not Diame I'll be a happy bunny!

'very talented, powerful box to box midfielder'

I would have gone for Diame and LW in Jan and let's play countinho at ACM where he is deadly.

Wow. So which of our midfielders do you guys think would be at this level?

He had his chance last year when gerrard was calling out for him

Mcgoveb snjieder got 1 or 2 sesons left so is that worth breaking the bank for?

Hi Eds and Reds
If Rodgers fields a defensive formation we will lose and Suarez will get upset getting isolated.
Why can't we do a Southampton (Can't believe I want us to do a Southampton) and set out to attack.
Come on Brendan, grow a pair and let see how we do having a go. YNWA
Believable0
Unbelievable0
Give him a chance!
At least wait to have a go once the team is announced.
Honestly, I'm proud to support Liverpool but ashamed of some of the supporters
Agree0
Disagree0
Personally, away to City and Chelsea might require more than a gung-ho, let's just attack approach. I'd be happy with two draws from those games. Spurs are struggling for goals so who knows.
Agree0
Disagree0
I don't think Brendan will change much the team will be the same as vs west ham except Lucas in for Stevie hearing that hendo should be grand to start but if not I have a feeling all cissoko will play wide left with coutinho behind Luis an sterling right of the front 3.
Agree0

Is it me or do people who call for managers to "grow a pair" almost certainly spend a lot of. Their time in their bedroom searching for their own pair to play with!

BREAKING - Santos have reached an agreement with Inter for the signing of Leandro Damião. Expected to be announced in week-end, via ESPN BR
bad news for us
Believable0

I don't really see how it's bad news for us. Severely overrated for the price being asked. I'd rather wait and give aspas a run at the #9

Sturridge Suarez are both better so we need a back up striker young talent player so damiao Who cares

This Whit you mentioned - is it the one out of Eastenders who is built like a tank. She'd be better in defence than SG I would imagine.

{Ed007's Note - And she would cost less.}
I agree despite a lot of people slating him on here he will be missed big time especially with all the big games coming up.
maybe a midfield of lucas, hendo in the centre, moses and sterling on each wing and couts ACM behind luis could do the job?
whats everyone elses thoughts on this?
Agree0
Disagree0
Personally I would let Lucas marshall the defence on his own as when someone sits with him he seems to get confused and not know how to position him self. Left to his own devices he sees the danger and deals with it without worrying about whether that's his job or not. IMO anyway.

Dear YNWAdam
Toni Kroos wouldn't cost a bomb
Not half as much as his brother Tom
I know he wouldn't join the Red Devils
As i'm sure he wants a chance of winning medals.
So if its silverware he wants in his hands
I don't think he needs to leave the Alianz
Yours Kindly

Is his brother Tom Cruise we talking about here?

The dubious goals panel has ruled in favor of Luis Suarez. So his goals tally this season is now 15. I don't expect more than one goal against Spurs, and I won't be surprised if he doesn't score in that game. But at least he now has an extra goal to his credit. Like Jamie Carragher said, he seems nailed on to be the highest goal scorer at the end of the season.
Walk on. YNWA.

The Gerrard debate :
My opinion is that, particularly in possession, Liverpool are going to miss him badly I fear.
His experience, control, and class of course.
Defensively, and off the ball, we can cover up.
It's an opportunity to bring Coutinho in centrally off Suarez, with Sterling and AN Other wider.
I'm thinking Ridgers may go with Henderson wide right, Sterling left?
Which would mean Suarez up front alone, and Allen and Lucas sitting more.
That defensive shield is where we could do with a Medel (good shout in Summer in hindsight that by the ed) or even a Diame or Tiote.
If that's how we go, our middle three are quite small by Prem standards.

Lets be honest his set piece delivery is what we'll miss mpst along with leadership only silver lining is to see joe allen get a proper run in the team
Agree0

I think your forgetting his delivery,, Steven Gerrard tops the assist table yet again on 6 for the season. Also He rarely misses a penalty.
Stevie is well ahead on assists in our team, I think Enrique is 2nd with just 2.
He'll be missed alright, going to be a long December I hope someone is ready to step up

Luis Suarez has 6 assists in the Premeir League also!

Hi eds, I know you've said recently we won't panic regarding the CM injury list but do u think we will bring anyone back from Liam spells or promote someone from the U21's just in case? If so who do you think it could be?
Many thanks

{Ed013's Note - I doubt it mate}
We have plenty of options despite the injuries;
Injured === Options:
Enrique === Cissokho/Flanagan/Kelly/Johnson
Gerrard === Allen/Alberto/Texieria
Henderson === Moses/Sterling/Ibe/
Sturridge === Aspas/Yesil

Promote Teixeira to train with the first team and see how he does.

So a few injuries for both teams prettt happy vertonghan is out, probably theur mostconsustent full back this season.
An early goal will be key I feel, get the crowd against them and hopefully lamela starts ha hea been invisible most of the spurs games I've seen so far. Flanno and johnson will have to guve man of match performances against lennon, walker and townsend.
But I think the if we r to get a result allen abd hendo will have to keep thier midfield quiet cause dembele and paulinho are great going forward but get caught getting back,
Great game for a neutral and nail biting for a fan I feel.

Don't say things like I hope lamella starts that sort of thing has a way of coming back round
Agree0

If Dawson and Kaboule play as they did against man city then suarez and coutinho will have a field day. Also walker goes walkerbout (pardon the pun) so a ball down the channel and with no vetoghen we should have a chance. We need to defend better than we have as of late too. Also they have no Bale no rescue them this time.
Agree0

A big day ahead for our fullbacks, especially Flannagan.
They hit us early last year and Bale / Lennon caused us a lot of problems in the first half.
It'll be the same again I think, with their wingers and fullbacks providing pace and width.
Whoever plays left wide for Liverpool will really need to put a shift in and help Flanno out.
I'm hoping Suarez can pull us through and come back with a result.

I doubt anyone will agree but it would be Toni Kroos for me (I'm not a poet) he can pick a pass from anywhere, has a great dead ball delivery, can control the pace of the game a lethal strike, a typical modern footballer, he probably wouldn't cost 50million either.

It would be Toni kroos for me,
Although I doubt you will agree,
He picks a pass from anywhere,
I also like his light blond hair,
Better still though you will see,
Is his set piece delivery,
He always tends to set the pace,
Rather than play like its a race,
And have you sign his lethal strike,
Luis Suarez? On 'yer' bike!
A typical modern footballer,
He wouldn't cost a bomb either.

I would give the lot to Suarez and contractually 'nail him to the ground' for the next seven or eight seasons.Best player in the world at the moment.My old mother could play well with Iniesta and Xavi serving up the ammo before you all start with the Messi s**t!
Agree0

Would have to be yaya toure for me, absolute monster in midfield, scores goals, and is underrated at passing. Would add muscle to our midfield and can bring the ball up the pitch. Think he is one of the best midfielders in the world ATM.

Haha, Fernando Torres. The only worse way to spend the 50million is to buy Greece.
