We Liverpool fans know that Wednesday's game against Fulham is not going to be easy. After every notable result in the last few weeks the team has crashed down to earth big time in the following game. After beating Stoke the players choked against Villa, after beating Everton the players choked against West Brom.

Despite Brendan Rodgers best efforts the team will mess up against Fulham, that is an undoubted certainty. The team will mistakenly think that Fulham will be a pushover, that will be a huge miscalculation.

The players must realize that in order to get the 3 points tomorrow night, the players must produce the same level of performance that they did against Arsenal. They need to score at least 2 early goals in the first 10 minutes in order to get Fulham to push up and leave huge spaces for Liverpool to counterattack and add to those 2 early goals.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Wait and see! 5-0 tomorrow!

I have to say I do not agree with you. Can't really tell why but I do have a feeling this will be sort of a walk over for us. I will actually place a bet on Liverpool to win with HC +1 (or maybe +2, haven't decided yet) on Fulham.

Agree0 Disagree0

It will be a tough game and Fulham will do everything NOT to lose tmrw. We have to approach it wth the right attitude and intensity. If we do that, well be ok.

Agree0 Disagree0

I was about to post my fear of expecting a relaxed and complacent Liverpool which pops up after a good crashing of Arsenal. Expecting a very nervous 0-2 Liverpool.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry Mr 123 but I disagree.
Whilst the pattern you describe is accurate, I think Brendan will have the players motivated and will tell them to get a result in the first hour.
Then he will rest Suarez and Sturridge.
Plus I have the lucky pants on!

Come on you reds!

Agree0 Disagree0

No excuses
Fulham have been by far worst team I have seen at Anfield this year
We cannot even contemplate anything other than a win
I will be concerned if the players do not show the hunger and intensity required

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry, one of the worst post I've seen for a while. "the team will mess up against Fulham, that is an undoubted certainty."?
"They need to score at least 2 goals in the first 10 minutes. "
Are you mad?

Agree0 Disagree0

3-0 Liverpool, Fulham at the Cottage have to come out and attack, they can't sit back, they need points. They can't just sit back with 7 ment in the box like at old trafford. The game will be a lot more open.

Agree0 Disagree0

That might of happened if Manchester United hadn't served as a warning on Sunday

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Feb 2014 22:19:41
Well done WBA. Now let's go and beat Fulham and close the gap even further!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agreed, wonder when we will start thinking there maybe a chance to come out on top in May?

Agree0 Disagree0

Let's wait till MAY. please

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought you'd already won the league when beat Arsenal at the weekend.

Agree0 Disagree0

DaveyBoy, good to know that you have recovered from the serious 4-goal concussion you and the rest of the village people recieved two weeks ago. I suggest you go take a walk and stop running your mouth on this page. Your village team has, is and will NEVER be a threat to us. You might have finished ahead of us the last two seasons. But let me remind u that even a dead clock is TWICE a day so jog off.

Agree0 Disagree0

no davey unlike everton who wouldn't know what its like to win anything we don't celebrate anything but winning a trophy r a meaningful finish that brings european football back to anfield you lot come 5th and its prob the best everton team since 1987, maybe even bring out a bus parade if you get 5th.sad.

Eds and reds do u think hendo will get a new contract BR is saying he deserves 1 and I agree but do think the owners will share BR views and has hendo broke his wrist? Hope he will b ok 2 play been a great player for us this season and defo 1 for the World Cup!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - yes and broken is a misused term.}

11 Feb 2014 19:57:24
Ed001, please do tell your Liverpool contacts that we have to sign Medel in the summer, watched him a few times now and he looks as good as you have painted him out to be, never thought he would be that good on the ball either. Would suit us really well, so please get off your ass and work your magic ;-)

Cheers for the good work!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I watched someone run past him earlier and he looked like he was blowing for tugs. Not up to Liverpool standard in my opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he has been carrying a knock for a while mate, that might be the issue. Though it doesn't help with the change in training that has been introduced and it has not worked so far, shall we say. I think Solskjaer might well have turned a team looking like a good bet to make a fight of staying in the league, into a team that will defo go down.}

I've read on here a few people including Edo1 saying we should sign or that they rated Medel highly, I had not seem where that opinion was formed but having not seen very much if him I gave him the benefit of the doubt, however I am still to see anything change my mind. Any chance I get I will watch him closely, he does certainly seem to divide opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

Feel really sorry for the fans of Cardiff, we know what rubbish owners are like and can relate.

Vincent Tan - deserves it, sacked one of the best managers in the country, changing a clubs colours, utter bs and hope somebody slaps some sense into him

Agree0 Disagree0

If solsjaer carries on like this he will be ideal candidate to replace Moyes

Hey Jackzokay,

Just read your comment on my post yesterday. Fair play for going all that way mate, I hope you and the kids have a great day.

Good news that within the month we could see Enrique, Lucas and Sakho back, that's like three new signings. The mancs are floundering and we are going from strength to strength. Genuinely thought it was all going to go tits up but the boys have made me think again.

Every game is a cup final now and clearly they are motivated.

Also is there a better CM than Henderson right now? The boy is going to be a legend.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

11 Feb 2014 17:45:41
Feel for the young lad. do you think he has the ability to make it at lfc if not injured?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - he did before the injuries.}

11 Feb 2014 17:05:17
Hey ed001 a quick one for u. what has happened to yesil? Has he injured himself once again? Isn't he was seen as a very bright prospect and how do you rate him?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - injured and probably going to struggle to ever make it due to the injuries. It is most likely he will end up retiring early, or be constantly injured.}

Ed do u no if the club can claim some compensation for him I thought players are insured these days thanks

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - If an injury is serious enough and the return far outweighs the additional premiums for following years, then yes. For players on low wages, they might not bother.}

11 Feb 2014 16:41:17
Edd001 what do you think of Evertons kevin meralise, i.think.hes a very very good player within the league.under the radar

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - really good player, but he has an attitude problem. He is like a less skilful Suarez, all the diving, kicking, play acting etc, but without all the goals. Oh and he doesn't handle going behind well, he just has little temper tantrums whenever they are losing. Rather than trying to work harder and gee up his team mates, he just kicks out at everything. Though he does have more pace than Suarez, he is defo a downgrade.}

He's a top player. Everton's best player by a mile. Suarez? He's nothing like Suarez Ed

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Ed001 and Ed025 are not the guys to answer such questions. They are normally left for a better looking and better opinioned Ed. But I am travelling this week.}

11 Feb 2014 21:00:59
Oh Ed, you are lucky our blue neighbours aren't on the prowl tonight, otherwise you would be told that he IS better than Suarez and is a stunning example of a human being, who spends his spare time reading to orphans. All joking aside cracking player, his assault on Suarez put me right off him though

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - assaults mate, they were defo plural.}

WTF? First of all learn to spell his name; it's Kevin MIRALLES. And what have you been drinking or sniffing Ed001? Attitude problem? Temper tantrums? Kicks out at everything?
The only thing posted here with any sense is Super's tongue in cheek comments regarding that tackle on Suarez in the Goodison derby which was high and late admittedly and should have warranted a red card. But Kevin was remembering last season's derby when he was hacked down by the Water Rat which was similarly overlooked.
So you're correct Evertonians are on the prowl tonight and KM has been a fantastic signing for us costing a snippet compared to the hundreds of millions wasted by King Kenny and Fat Brenda.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - you really are blind, the lad lost his temper this time round too, you were probably too busy crying into a pint of bitter at that point though. You really need to take off those blue tinted specs and try and see reality. You are up there for embarrassing and boring posters with the worst. Your banter is cack and your drivel is just tedious. Your knowledge of players is even worse, it is MirallAs, not MirallEs, and was hardly a cheap buy at £7m from a league that was bankrupt and would have taken anything. You overpaid, he was being offered at half that amount.}

Phew, Davey Boy, hit a nerve there? Its ok mate, after "fat brenda's" influence on the team gets us CL footie you will still have that beloved 5th spot you Blues love to aim for.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aha DBB
You definitely brighten up my day
I suggest you to read carefully everton's official website
Remember the name of the players
Come back here if you already know their names correctly
Miralles.my God!
hhaha can't stop laughing :D

Agree0 Disagree0

Tell `em ed. Mirallas is a one trick pony who runs around a lot and is quite inconsistent and does very little. He has attitude issues and is a loose cannon. Everything you need to be a legend at the village people`s club.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Feb 2014 08:33:04
Ed Artie Ziff'd your ass, squirt squirt

Agree0 Disagree0

Im also laughing hard very hard if your going to be a know it all at least get it right yourself but made me chuckle but do com again maybe tell us its lukukoo or howord

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually Kevin Mirallas cost £5.3m and maybe Everton did overpay, but when you compare that to Carroll £35m, Downing c. £18m, Henderson c. £15m, Adam £8m then Everton got a bargain and he will be moved on for a profit.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he cost nearly £7m actually, please don't tell lies. That is not including future add on payments that may become applicable in the future.}

Ah, semantics antics 001. With 'add ons', so you know the exact fee?
Fact is he's better value than your 90% of your recent signings even if he cost £20m. I digress, he cost £5.3m with add ons potentially making it £6m.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - rubbish, he cost over £6m to begin with, add ons have taken it close to £7m so far. You are talking nonsense. As for Liverpool's signings, they are irrelevant, that is just you trying to dredge in a completely different point to look like you know what you are talking about. I am merely talking about Everton's so called bargain. I would not call paying double what a club is after a bargain, no matter how much he is actually worth. It is that simple. Now please run along and come back when you can stop talking nonsense because my figures come from both clubs, yours are plucked out of your backside.}

By the way, I've no need to embellish or embroider. These are the facts. We got a bargain and your cheap shots at his character are laughable considering you hero worship the most despicable human being to walk the face of the earth. He sets out to DELIBERATELY injure opponents every time he takes the field.!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - even more lies. Go away now, you are just being a prick. This whole post is complete fabrication from start to finish. You have embellished and embroidered it all. You lie about who I hero worship. You embellish and embroider your idiotic and pathetic childish rant about a footballer playing a game with complete lies. Grow up. You are not bright enough to argue this with. You can't even understand the truth. You just make up lies to suit your childish and bitter twisted viewpoint. You really need some perspective in life. You are just another tool who cares more about Liverpool than anything else. It is embarrassing now. By the way, cheap shots would be a lot more of an insult if it wasn't true about Mirallas being a diver with a poor attitude. So poor it was pointed out to him publicly by his manager, a certain Moyesiah you fickle lot worshipped until he jumped ship.}

11 Feb 2014 16:22:55
I was just thinking if the league could have a new points system.

Win- 4 points
Defeat- 0 points
Draw home- 1 point
Draw away- 2 points

It would see whole new strategies being created plus home, away matches would have more meaning.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

And how many points for an away win?

Agree0 Disagree0

It would make for a very boring game of football every game the home team would dominate & the away team play on the counter attack generally with 10 behind the ball. It would make the league far more equal however

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Feb 2014 17:14:45
would love to see how the league would look now if that was the case.

Agree0 Disagree0

It was one of the best ever decisions when they changed a win from two points to 3 points (can't remember when that was, but am showing my age a bit). Although I remember being told if we still played on the old score system we would have won the league a few times more - not sure if its true or not.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Feb 2014 20:58:12
I'm always a little bit gutted when we absolutely hammer a team, putting on a great display, and Chelsea (for example) grind out a boring 1-0 win and we get the same amount of points each. Sometimes I think the number of goals scored should be added to the points. Then I realise that's ridiculous.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Feb 2014 16:21:52
over in the everton banter page there's a poster called lacthford lad he wants clattenburg investigated to see if he ever supported Liverpool as a kid its really sad how they blame us on everything isn't it.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Just like they hailed Mirallas for trying to end Suarez`s career. They don`t call them the bitters for no reason.

Hello folks, remember a few years back when kids were copying Torres' hair and even before that when Beckham was a hairy trendsetter for a while? Well, in honour of our ox like centre back Martin Skrtel and his awesome brace of goals against Arsenal last weekend, i've decided to ''get a Skrtel'' haircut. Now i've donned a shaggy mop for a while and my head feels like a menthol cigarette with all this wind on skin. :)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Think your missing a few staples lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Nothing to do with that hairline going north then? Lol

Believe it or not but I have had the Torres cut and the beckham Mohawk and Mohican. But. And it's a big but, I had all 3 haircuts before they did.
I dunno if that makes me really cool or really tragic?

Agree0 Disagree0

There are some baldy bas****s on here who are telling everyone they've purposely got a Rooney.

Don't lie now, admit that you're growing a forehead!

Unfortunately I have a rooney pre transplant anyways lol

Cracking news about tomorrows game. let's hope we take 3 points and try to extend the gap between 4th and 5th - maybe even 3rd and 4th.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

11 Feb 2014 14:09:32
Ed001, I read that you think we would need 5/6 players in summer to properly compete in both champions league and premier league. My question is, do you think we will target 5/6 players or do you think Brendan will settle for less?

Another question, to anyone that can help. What is the best way to try and get tickets for a home game?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - settle for less.}

We have 4 players doing well on loan I'm sure suso borini wisdom mainly could all come back and add to the squad!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed you.mentioned 5 6 players but we have borini.and suso returning, two very good players

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - if they both stay, they are likely to want assurances of regular football.}

Im sure if they stay its even for them to play if there willing to work hard ed

Agree0 Disagree0

They`re going to have to earn their keep. BR runs a tight ship and if they don`t shape up, they`ll be shipped out. But I think he`ll give them every opportunity.

It looks like the Tube strikes have been cancelled.
So there should be no problem for the game tomorrow!
Unlucky Fulham, Nice try ;)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

However Jose will probably comment that the game should be called of as Liverpool will be gaining an unfair advantage in playing a team so exhausted after Sunday's performance.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who gives a **** what Jose thinks or says?

Agree0 Disagree0

The British Press - unfortunately. I'm sick of hearing from him too!

Hi Eds,
Just reading the echo that young Teixeira could be brought into the first team squad. I have read a lot but ain't seen a lot of this lad. Is he that good?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - yes, he has been in the squad a few times now, though a loan to the lower leagues didn't work out, it did help him learn.}

That's good to hear. I've always been impressed by his ability with the ball ever since seeing him in the next gen series for Sporting. His progress here has been sort of stop start but it'll be great to see him given a chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Feb 2014 12:02:54
Now if for some reason the game is called off tomorrow (they will have to come up with a much better excuse than the one they have now) its not the end of the world, every player worked so hard against Arsenal much the same way they did against Everton and suffered the next game. A chance for the players to recharge their batteries isn't really a problem, I know confidence is high but Fulham pulled off a great result at the weekend too so will be up to spoil the party.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

11 Feb 2014 12:02:17

One can think of numerous other ways to get the staff in to work
Coaches
Taxis
BusesTFL must be running extra buses during the strike
Overground train
Bicycle
Walk
Cars- I'm sure some of the staff could car share

Hi Eds

During the press conference, Brendan has stated that Henderson will wear a cast on his fractured wrist during the game against Fulham. When did he get that injury? And do you know how serious is his injury and does he need to be sidelined?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - I don't know when he picked up that injury, maybe when he had the house to himself and access to certain sites on the net? I don't know how serious it is, though he is not expected to need to be sidelined.}

He injured it in an arm wrestle with Raheem Sterling!

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Feb 2014 13:33:35
Well, in the press conference, it is stated that Henderson pick the injury during the Arsenal game. I don't remember him injured in that game. This is what I read from the Guardian.

Agree0 Disagree0

Might be when he flew into the kop against aresnal

Agree0 Disagree0

He got injured when he ran into the advertising board against Arsenal

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, I guess Mitul is right. Can't think of any other reason why he should have got injured.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed001 is this POF again? Poor hendo haha

Agree0 Disagree0

I remember him running into an arsenal player (can't remember who, possibly Cazorla) and then gesticulating wildly with his wrist afterwards, obviously in pain. He just carried on and played well for the rest of the game (we were already 5-1 up at this point) so I suspect that is were the injury came from.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Feb 2014 10:53:34
Fulham are saying that they cannot fulfil there safety certificate should the underground strike go ahead.
How can Arsenal, West ham Leyton Orient and the like be OK but Fulham cannot?
Now I know safety is a major concern. But surely if the other London teams can proceed what is so special about Fulham and them not being able too?
If they cancel then surely the FA need to look into this and consider some kind of sanction to stop it from arising again?
I would be more sympathetic to them if other teams in the capital were to cancel. But just the one team saying they cannot cope is a little strange don't you think?
Eds. Do you see any action being taken by the FA if the game doesn't go ahead?
vrcomp
Y.N.W.A.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - no, they are a London club, the FA has always pandered to those.}

11 Feb 2014 10:05:11
Well I for one would be really annoyed if Fulham call the game off, it stinks of foul play. I just can't help thinking they just want a rest.

If they are worried that the staff can't get there - put a few coaches on! Its not like they can't afford it.

Could they really get away with calling it off eds?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I seen some where last night that it would cost 5k to get them all a taxi

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Feb 2014 10:28:45
5K?! about 5 mins pay for one of the highly paid players. That is no excuse with the amount of money available in the Premier League.

The PL should put their foot down on this one, or before you know it, they will all be doing it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its all a conspiracy. Fulham played 120 mins last week in FA Cup, 90 mins on Sunday, the tube strike is just a smokescreen.

Liverpool fans can get there Euston as there is tube service on the Hammersmith & City line every 10 mins & regular services on the District line to Earls Court & on to Putney Bridge even whilst the strike is on.
Check the TFL website.

Who will refund mine & my mates advance rail tics to London & cost of hotel? Nobody, but Fulham & Premier League can expect letters.

Its a bl**dy joke! Sorry ed's about that but I find it a disgrace if Fulham can get way with this. The Arsenal game won't be postponed!

Agree0 Disagree0

5k. Put an extra 20p on the cost of the ticket to cover it. I'm sure the supporters wouldn't mind.
To me this looks like a case of Fulham just looking for an excuse because of the form we look to be in. AND there hard game against UTD. When none of the other teams in the capital saying there is going to be a problem how can Fulham?
A sanction from the FA may be in order here IMO if it were to be cancelled!

Good morning Eds. Fernando Reges name keeps popping up linked with city, utd and us for the summer. Do you know how firm our intetest is or is it speculative? Surely if city are in for him we don't stand much chance against there financial muscle?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - How many times do I need to answer the same question? Use the search engine.}

11 Feb 2014 06:18:13
How likely is El Shaarawy to move on this summer, especially if Milan fail to make champions league? I'm sure Liverpool has shown no interest, but he could be a good fit and he could provide competition on the wing. I get the feeling his wages would be too high though.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - There is certainly a chance he will move in the summer.}

If we get CL and we want to start to bring in players of CL level then they will come with higher wages. El Shaarawy isn't on wages that Liverpool can't live with right now or wage he would want to come to LFC but if others come in for him and offer ridiculous numbers then we would be out.

I am really disappointed that the Fulham game may be called off. I never say we are guaranteed 3 points but to our advantage I doubt the Fulham players could put in a performance like they did at United especially after only 2 days recovery.

I think, (should the game go ahead) that we will run riot with another 4/5 nil display. Fingers crossed it goes ahead.

Red Rum

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If I understand correctly, its because their safety staff might not be able to get to the ground due to tube strike? any chance the club could lay on some transport for these people?

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm getting a bus to Belfast from a snowy derry on the north west coast of Ireland. Then I'm boarding an aeroplane to London. I've a hotel booked. I've two kids in tow. But we'll be there. and that's not to say anything of the stress! The hassle! Now, Fulham football club of the mighty premier league can't lay on a bus or something to lift a number of stewards? Where in Gods name do they live? This is a joke right? I'll be applying for a refund from Fulham for all our travel costs if this is called off. The youngsters have been looking forward to this for weeks. Unbelievable.

Wow jack! You could only travel further possibly if it was Brighton or Yeovil!
