Im reading that we have signed Andreas Kornmayer as our new fitness coach. i'm guessing he must be pretty good since he is ex-Bayern. Does anyone know if this is true and able to shed light on what he is like?

Believable4 Unbelievable3

12 Apr 2016 23:44:02
Just about to post this, so he's with Bayern right now and joining in summer? I'm just going to have a peak at Bayerns recent injury history and type of injuries.

12 Apr 2016 23:49:56
With Pep moving to City he may well be looking for pastures new plus hasn't our fitness coach left after 4 yrs? May make sense. Time will tell I suppose.

13 Apr 2016 01:03:41
Imred ignore Arjen Robben from the injury list.

13 Apr 2016 02:02:45
From ex swansea fitness coach to bayern munich fitness coach. what an upgrade. Klopp is certainly moving fast.

13 Apr 2016 02:58:42
Why can't the Swansea fitness coach be as good as a Bayern fitness coach Lee?

13 Apr 2016 06:55:30
Götze will be happy 😄.

13 Apr 2016 07:36:02
Halloo brenda. if swansea staffs are good they will be in champions league.

13 Apr 2016 07:57:26
At least that explains why we looked a Gotzes injury history ;)

13 Apr 2016 08:06:37
What's wrong with Swansea's fitness staff? Have you ever seen them look tired or have players off long term with fitness related injuries (as opposed to impact injuries)? Could be the Aldershot fitness coach for all I care, as long as they can prove they keep their players consistently fit then they're good enough for me.

13 Apr 2016 08:35:21
Not all the best coaches go to the best clubs eg southamton scouts have to be good looking at the youth. Some coaches may prefer to. be near home etc.

13 Apr 2016 11:22:35
Oh my god. Yeah Lee, it's Bayerns fitness coach that does it. Swansea are one fitness coach away from the treble.

12 Apr 2016 21:09:13
Ed002 please help I've searched and found nothing even though I know you've covered it before (sorry) but can you explain top 4 qualifications to champions league if lfc win Europa and man city win CL? In this scenario what would happen regards top 4 if 1, both or neither of them finish top four thanks in advance.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with Manchester City - very simply, if Liverpool win the Europa League they qualify for the Champions League.}

13 Apr 2016 01:33:34
If they both win and city are in top 4 it's as you'd expect. 5 teams go in. If city finish fifth then 4th place would lose out as there's a cap of 5 teams.

12 Apr 2016 21:29:12
Dont know why joe hart gets a bad rep. Yes he's a bit of a door handle but he's a class keeper . Would save a lot more points than the clown we have in net. Not suggesting we are after him but when its been mentioned he's been slated .

Believable5 Unbelievable10

12 Apr 2016 22:06:20
Poor positioning, flaps at crosses and his kicking is inaccurate at best. Great shot stopper and makes some fantastic reflex saves though.

12 Apr 2016 22:10:13
I'd say it's because he's massively overhyped.
He's talked about as though he's in the top 3 keepers in the world when he's clearly not.
He's a decent keeper, he's better than Mignolet, but there are better keepers available for less money IMO.

12 Apr 2016 23:28:49
Not even top three in my house! And I'm on me tod :)

13 Apr 2016 00:50:38
He's overrated and quite average but because he's English, he gets a lot of good press that he doesn't deserve.

13 Apr 2016 07:32:18
Please look at the goal he conceded against West Brom. If you still feel he's very good, I rest my case.

13 Apr 2016 08:17:03
He was a quality young keeper ready to take on the world at about 22. Unfortunately for whatever reason he nver seems to have developed any further or pushed on at all, and is now just an average keeper in a good team.

13 Apr 2016 14:16:41
Look at the goal Lallana scored against him as well, and let his fans come back and tell us how great he is.

13 Apr 2016 10:40:09
I think Joe Hart is a decent keeper. Has an air of authority about him, can be a commanding presence on times and is very vocal. These are good qualities for a keeper. All 3 of which Mignolet seems to lack.

12 Apr 2016 20:50:01
Question for ed001, lots of debate over who should start vs Dortmund between Sturridge, Origi or both. Who would you start for that game?

Believable6 Unbelievable5

{Ed001's Note - both.}

12 Apr 2016 21:51:12
We play so well with two up front. Both have confidence after the weekend. Both had experience playing against dortmund. Play them both and we could kill the tie off before they have the chance to get an away goal.

12 Apr 2016 21:55:25
Got a funny feeling we will start with both.

12 Apr 2016 22:02:26
I'd love to see both start, Dortmund clearly struggle against pace. We have enough hard working players to keep the middle tight, I'd love to see Stewart start with can. Could even start origi wide, he operates their a lot anyway.

12 Apr 2016 22:06:13
Completely agree Ed, Sturridge leading the line and Origi assisting both in attack and defending from the front.

12 Apr 2016 23:57:59
Supported by Couts and Firmino. Lucas and Milner to hold centre. I would of preferred Can to Milner but I think it's going to be red hot out there on the Anfield pitch and under them pressure situations I wouldn't trust Can not to fly in with rash challenges. Allen may be a good sub for later in the game. Milner and Clyne need to use the width and push on to occupy Reus etc. I think it will be very similar to in Dortmund, lots of German pressure with us playing counter.

13 Apr 2016 00:25:33
Origi, Sturridge, Firmino attack spearheading a midfield of Milner, Can and Lucas would be my setup. Lallana, Ibe, Benteke, Allen, Ojo as options from the bench!

Defence and GK seemingly picks itself currently, especially as Flanagan is not in the Europa League squad!

13 Apr 2016 00:46:09
I disagree. Klopp is not going to change is his preferred system and style of play IMO. I won't be surprised if he starts with 3 central midfielders (Can, Milner and Allen) either.

13 Apr 2016 00:52:02
Origi starts, no question. I would play Firmino behind him because he has a better work rate than Studge.

13 Apr 2016 01:02:33
Fencey, I'm not sure Stewart is registered to play in the Europa league.

13 Apr 2016 01:45:28
If we start Origi, I'd prefer to see a 4-3-3 of

Migs
Clyne, Lovren, Sakho, Moreno
Can
Milner, Allen
Origi, Sturridge, Coutinho

Firmino, Llalana as impact subs.

13 Apr 2016 01:47:10
Can Lucas and Allen in midfield if we start sturridge and origi. We need to dominate midfield to have any chances as Dortmund is well oil machine in midfield area and we may get over run on counter . I like milner in left back to replace moreno.

12 Apr 2016 21:57:46
So you don't think we should sit back and try and catch them on the break ed?

{Ed001's Note - no, with our defence that would be far too risky.}

13 Apr 2016 07:57:55
Can't believe people are suggesting Firmino remain on the bench.

Has easily been our best attacker for most of the season, certainly the most influential in attack since January and involved in the most goals/ assists both on the team, and in the entire EPL.

You cannot leave him on the bench. He was undroppable before his slight injury.

13 Apr 2016 13:45:42
I would be very very surprised if he starts origi, studge, couts AND firmino.

12 Apr 2016 20:12:13
Sorry if it's been asked before but if city and ourselves won the CL and United beat city to fourth what would happen? Don't presume we'd get six teams in!?

Believable1 Unbelievable6

12 Apr 2016 20:45:29
Fourth placed team would go into Europa League.

12 Apr 2016 20:55:31
United would miss out. Only 5 per country.

12 Apr 2016 22:10:04
Is it wrong to actually want United to do well but us and city to win the cups so 4th place means shit all when all their fans get smug again? Maybe it's just because far too many of my friends are Utd fans.

12 Apr 2016 22:15:03
Ye that could be pretty cool.

13 Apr 2016 00:53:01
Utd will get EL but I must admit, that would be flat out awesome if it happened.

12 Apr 2016 20:11:35
Sorry if this has been covered but what's the tapping up thing with Gerrard?
Thanks guys.

Believable0 Unbelievable4

12 Apr 2016 20:39:33
He wrote in his last book about contacting people like Kroos, Sanchez and Willian to see if they'd be interested in joining liverpool.

12 Apr 2016 20:56:41
He wrote in his book that the club used to ask him to tap up players for us. So the club is now under intense scrutiny. It will probably put the club off from moving for Gotze or Zielinski as thet both keep claiming to have spoken to Klopp despite no official approach being made to their teams. Basically, thanks to Gerrard we are under the microscope.

12 Apr 2016 20:57:58
Gerrard said in his bio that the club would ask him to convince potential targets to join the club. This is considered tapping up, and has put the club under scrutiny.

12 Apr 2016 21:05:56
Also worth adding that previous regimes were really irresponsible to ask Gerrard to do that. He was just the muppet who admitted to the whole thing.

12 Apr 2016 21:21:16
What management was in place for this.
Surely they'll be looked into also?

12 Apr 2016 22:01:26
It happens all the time we aren't under any more scrutiny over this than anybody else.

13 Apr 2016 00:56:34
Barca and Real players especially, do it all the time. They have their players tap up their national team teammates during international breaks hence, tapping up like Neymar did with Coutinho. Not saying it is right but just saying it happens all the time.

{Ed002's Note - And in the real world....}

13 Apr 2016 01:51:01
Easiest and best way will be heap the blame on Rodgers and say he instigated it. Its ok.

13 Apr 2016 08:23:06
Other clubs do it, of course they do but that's irrelevant because a) they are inhave someoensingly getting punished for it and b) we hjave had somneone doing it for us bloody admit it!

12 Apr 2016 20:01:15
Bundesliga Will have only 5 teams next year! Liverpool will be signing all other players Klopps has heard of.

Believable6 Unbelievable5

12 Apr 2016 22:59:42
. . . . (crickets)

13 Apr 2016 01:52:38
Dont worry, Bundesliga can merge with austrian league, neighbours and seriously like there is any difference if u been to both austria and germany.

12 Apr 2016 18:54:15
Witch hunt when it comes to Ibe at the moment. Why just leave the lad alone?

Whether he stays or goes, at least he is not running his mouth in the media saying LFC ain't not worthy of his services which is exactly what they want him to do.

Believable15 Unbelievable4

12 Apr 2016 20:02:10
Nice post mate. 👍🏻.

12 Apr 2016 17:32:11
Does anyone have a sense of what LFC players we will be missing (due to the olympics) at the start of the season next year? It will be mostly the big name u23's and the ones who are their countries star players - how rough a start to the season are we looking at do people think? Figure I would ask before working out whose not likely to be there.

Believable0 Unbelievable5

12 Apr 2016 22:05:10
Not many I doubt, look at the Britain 2012 Olympic team, wasn't it Sturridge, Richards and one other over the age of 23 going, who weren't in the national setup at the time.

13 Apr 2016 00:57:33
Taino Awoniyi will be away with Nigeria's Olympic team.

12 Apr 2016 16:54:16
Gerrard has lot of haters here, if he moved to another club or stopped playing football by 2007, he would have got much consideration here. poor ending to his career. though

James milner is also getting similar consideration here, even if he play well in one game, he get the stick and been called as a player who came here for money. not sure whether fans are considering him as a liverpool player.

Believable1 Unbelievable10

12 Apr 2016 17:33:38
I like James Milner a lot. Real professional who gives 100% every game. and good role model off the field too.
For me. a great signing.

12 Apr 2016 17:34:16
Gerrard does not have any 'haters'. Gerrard just has people who consider his role in LFC, at least for the immediate future, done and have no wish for him to be gifted positions that he isn't qualified for in way and that risk undermining the current project/ blocking someone proven taking the job, simply because he's Gerrard. It's not 'hating' to stop pandering to someones every whim.

12 Apr 2016 17:54:20
The fact that you think because we have a different opinion to yours about SG makes us haters, says a lot more about you than it does about us.

12 Apr 2016 18:37:57
I don't hate Gerrard. I just don't understand why 90% of the fans think that he has some God given right to come back to us in whatever position he wants just because of what he did for us in the past. Liverpool has agreed to every single one of his demands when he was playing and now people want them to even when he's not here.

Besides those stupid comments about tapping up players. For god's sake 😒.

12 Apr 2016 19:24:27
Gerrard - Legendary player 100%.

If he wants to return to the club in a different capacity he has to earn the right. How would he have felt as a player if an ex-player with no coaching experience was suddenly put in charge?

12 Apr 2016 20:17:42
If gerrard want to learn and become lfc manager one day he should start from the bottom shadowing the u21 coach and sometime popping over to the first team and shadowing klopp and learning from one of the best in the business no money nothing and then maybe if a position opens up he could be considered for the vacancy he doesn't need money he's earned quiet a lot from liverpool and should do it for the love of the club.

12 Apr 2016 20:29:05
Gerrard can gain experience being around Klopp. Not his number 2 or 3 just something to do with Liverpool. The man who gives everything to this red shirt deserves a chance if he's know good at least he tryed . It would awesome one day Gerrard and carragher on the touch line not 2 soon but one day.

12 Apr 2016 21:14:15
That what I mean reus I don't want him as number 2 or anything if he learns from klopp or the u21 coach just been around seeing what techniques he uses to counter another teams strengths and klopp explaining why he does what he does you know like work experience haha he can get his old toothbrush out and clean the little magicians boots make sure the sweet spots are perfect.

12 Apr 2016 21:22:50
Dalglish back in the day Ron?

12 Apr 2016 21:54:14
The game's changed Gazza - sadly.

12 Apr 2016 22:07:15
It's too soon. I wouldn't want him shadowing klopp yet, he should spend some time coaching, maybe a player coach role in the states. Then maybe a lower league team in England and eventually maybe a coaching role with us.

13 Apr 2016 00:59:58
He shouldn't coach us as we have tried ex club legends like Souness and KK coaching us for the disaster we now know of. Let him cut his teeth elsewhere and we'll see then.

13 Apr 2016 02:28:37
Agree, things are working well with Klopp establishing a new tone and era of management, I see huge risk and marginal potential benefit in introducing such a strong character into the mix so soon. do we really need him? Would we be doing it for Liverpool or for Gerard's sake?

Let him prove himself in management somewhere first and then think about bringing him back in a few years if it's right for the club. At least then we all know he's back because he's a good coach.

The mans a legend but no-one is bigger than the club, and we do what's best for the club while celebrating our past heroes.

12 Apr 2016 15:58:11
i9 think we will go through on thursday because all we need to do is stop them from scoring, i know its not going to be easy but if they don't score on thursday night then we are through, i do think klopp will have the tactics to get us through, do we qualify for the champs league if we win the europa league.

Believable1 Unbelievable6

12 Apr 2016 17:55:51
Europa League winners qualify for the Champions League. I hope we win against Dortmund. Our players have finally got the belief and confidence to run away as victors. YNWA!

12 Apr 2016 19:25:28
Stopping them scoring will not be easy at all, we need to go out and win the game outright.

12 Apr 2016 19:38:34
I can't see Dortmund not scoring. I just hope we are 3 up when they do.

12 Apr 2016 19:41:58
Exactly ron if we play for a draw we will muck it up as usual. Play to win and play with style.

12 Apr 2016 19:49:29
Def agree Ron. Think they will score. Don't think my bangers could handle ET and pens. We need to go for it.

12 Apr 2016 20:42:41
Agree there Ron for sure, we play sport to win.

12 Apr 2016 23:03:06
We've conceded at least a goal in our last 5 matches in a row.

12 Apr 2016 15:37:38
I'm here to reiterate Ed001 points on youth - to at least give them a fighting chance. We have always been looking for newer players to buy. Why not use the youth? Both are gambles, with buying a newer player the more riskier one.
Thanks. Have a nice day.

Believable3 Unbelievable4

12 Apr 2016 17:56:59
Spot on, Krishna. We have spent millions on players of which the majority have no panned out. Is it not time we focused on our own youth afterall, someone thought they were talented which is why they are here. Had klopp not used the academy at BVB, would he have found Gotze, Pizchek, Schmelzer (who no one thought would make it as a pro) and the lot?

12 Apr 2016 12:51:31
A quick one for the eds if i may,

Am i missing something here or something is not clear to us fans. it seems most of the players being linked with us are central midfielders or box 2 box type players. now we are obviously filled in this area even with allen assumed to be leaving as he will be replaced with grujic not even considering the youngsters!
Is there any indication someone else is leaving?
Or are we just keeping filling in this full area already as we always do!

Many thanx.

Believable1 Unbelievable4

{Ed002's Note - I have said where Liverpool are interested in players as I understand it. People ask every day about random players they hear about on Twitter and Facebook and in some of the media. No doubt the new owners (remember it was being finalised two weeks ago) will be open to buying all of these players for the fans. Try and look past any headline which say "Liverpool on Red Alert after ...."}

12 Apr 2016 13:20:04
Is it mainly midfielders? I haven't noticed any pattern with regards to position. Just every player in the Bundesliga!

12 Apr 2016 12:21:29
Ed 2 will say "not going to happen", but what do you guys think of Gerrard returning next season in a Gary McAllister-type role? Maybe as player-coach?

You know, to provide a bit of guidance for the younger ones plus as an impact player when an old head is needed? He can even come on as a sweeper late on to help protect leads.

His set pieces won't hurt too.

I think he can do a job and IF we win the league, he gets a medal.

A shame he doesn't have one but players like Wes Brown and Anderson do .

Thoughts? :)

Believable1 Unbelievable17

{Ed002's Note - Great idea. Liverpool buy out his contract, no doubt pay him a lot of money. Defend him from at least one FA charge that he would immediately face, wait until his ban is over and then maybe have him tap up Joey Barton to see if he could be lured back to Liverpool as well.}

12 Apr 2016 12:43:26
Love you 002 😂.

12 Apr 2016 12:43:59
So players can't talk to other players now I try to sign them . So whan the Spanish players trying to get fabagas to join Barcelona that's not the same thing .

{Ed002's Note - What are you talking about? This isn't about Fabregas nor Barcelona. Gerrard remember? Used to play for Liverpool.}

12 Apr 2016 12:47:44
Great reply. can't believe u are being serious? Forget gerrard. move on. he has gone.

12 Apr 2016 13:25:17
My thoughts are it's a stupid idea.

Gerrard is never going to be a McAllister, he is too big a personality at the club and dressing room. Just move on.

12 Apr 2016 13:30:54
Do you remember what happened last time we appointed a manager based on the fact he was an ex-captain and a great midfielder? Search 'Liverpool Souness Manager era' and then rethink this. Gerrard WAS a great player. He has proven with his latest book that he's a few pennies short of a pound upstairs though. He can stay away from the club now after his latest efforts to drag it to court. He's never had a clue tactically, he's never been vocal, and he's got NO record in management. It's not as easy as the old days. Managers don't have 16 players and 10 staff to deal with. They have 40+ players, and hundreds of staff to deal with. The days of player management at the top level are gone and Gerrards days in English football are over. He made sure of that when he admitted to tapping players up on behalf of LFC. You really think that makes him a suitable candidate for a manager? Not only being thick enough to do it, but then dense enough to put it out publically in writing!

Great player, I have lots of fond memories and he'll always be one of my favourite players. Gerrard the person though was and still is a complete embarrassment.

12 Apr 2016 14:44:15
I think attacking the character of someone you don't know is taking things a bit far. From personal experience Gerrard is actually very nice and was always willing to help out and sort stuff out. We should keep criticism to on the pitch antics.

12 Apr 2016 16:11:15
MK scouser, what are you on about with your rant, i think most liverpool fans want gerrard to be our manager in the years to come, why do they want this, its because he is a scouser and has liverpool fc in his heart, gerrard led through his play, he has also said himself that he would not be the manager of liverpool until he has had some experience at other clubs, he has left our club and has nothing to do with it and yet your still having a go at him, i don't know him personally so i can't and won't comment on him.

12 Apr 2016 16:48:24
I've heard numerous stories of his off field antics which are far from good and this should be considered when analysing the man. Being good on the pitch is no excuse for being an arse off it.

12 Apr 2016 16:51:02
Nobody wants Steven Gerrard to manage Liverpool klopp for 30 years would be perfect (obviously not a hope in hell itll happen)

12 Apr 2016 17:23:18
Managing is an entirely different ball game to playing so no, if he proves he is well qualified then he should be taken into consideration but it won't happen.

Also gerrard, in my opinion, wasn't even as good of a leader as everyone made out and thought he was bigger than the club. If anything, i'd rather have carra manage us, but even that might end in disaster.

12 Apr 2016 17:28:34
He doesn't have LFC in his heart. If he did he wouldn't have held the club to ransom for more money. If he did he wouldn't have damaged the clubs reputation with his book. If he did he would've stayed without the requirement for death threats.

He may well have supported Liverpool as a kid, but he grew into an egotistical monster who used to pay his entourage to keep fans away from him, drove good players out the club because they didn't want to join his "scouse mafia", and worst of all he had a clause put into his contract that he had to be the highest paid player at the club! He is everything wrong with a modern footballer. He was bigger than the club and the fans allowed it to happen unknowingly.

I don't want him anywhere near our club again. His time has been and gone. I've not made any assumptions here or character judgements based on feeling. This is all my personal judgement on the things he HAS done. He's been in trouble for his antics in clubs even being taken to court for assault, he constantly says stupid things to the media even whilst he was here (Hendo-Balotelli penalty incident vs Besitkas is a prime example) .

Legend for what he did on the field. He was our best player from 2003 to 2007 which was our most successful period in the last 2 and half decades. But I am unbiased enough to step back and see the bigger picture. We need to move on. I hope Klopp is here until he retires from management because if he is, that means he was probably a massive success. Gerrard can get a job as a pundit and be the centre of attention again.

I know how harsh this sounds. Trust me. I've re-read it. But everything I've judged him on is a fact. You can argue that my judgement is harsh, but you can't say I'm judging a side of him I don't know. Because celebrities are so in the spotlight that we know the famous side of them and everything they do. He may well be a lovely guy to his friends and he looks like he's a great husband and father. But football and money has poisoned that young, gangly scouse lad who ran on to make his debut nearly 2 decades ago. He's not that same guy anymore. He belives he is bigger than the club because he genuinely was. I don't want that happening ever again though. Sorry.

12 Apr 2016 17:46:31
We need to keep looking forward as a Club.
Gerrard back at LFC is a big step backwards.
He's had his day . the fans have their memories. but need to move on.
He's not a good role model for youngsters either!

12 Apr 2016 18:04:13
I'll stick to the original question.

McAllister was a gifted footballer, great passer of the ball and wasn't gifted with pace so had little to lose as he got older.

Gerrard by his own omission couldn't keep to the standards he set himself (like he used to be able to) and was a far more explosive player.

Given that he struggled last season it would make little sense bringing him back.

12 Apr 2016 19:07:19
When done Hoola, summed it up nicely.

12 Apr 2016 19:28:08
Gerrard would not want to be handed a medal on the back of others endeavour. He would want to earn it himself.

It's a daft idea, only players who are there on merit should wear the red shirt - end of story.

12 Apr 2016 10:59:41
Eds. I've heard a rumour that Klopp is a big scrabble fan and therefore only interested in signing players whose names have high scoring letters. He is very keen on J's and Z's. Any truth to this?

Believable4 Unbelievable6

12 Apr 2016 13:25:43
Gerrard wasnt too hot as a sweeper when he last played for Lfc. I hardly think he will have improved since. Move on, i'm sure he has.

Square Tomato gave us an update last week. Ings is ahead of schedule and is now doing sprinting drills or something along those lines. If you want it straight from the horses mouth RTFP.

12 Apr 2016 13:49:26
Last update was sprint drills or something along those lines, but hope he won't play this season which is for the best.

Prefer we ease him in and get him in perfect shape for start of next pre-season.

Cheers lads must have missed it.

Everyone talking about the summer. Some. say we need a striker in my opinion if we sell benteke we have sturridge, and improving origi and frimino with ings to come back who seemed to be doing well before injury since we play 1 striker a lot i see that as enough thoughts?

I don't think we need a striker replacement in the summer if the two B's leave either. But it seems like the fickle Liverpool fan's just want us to spend and spend and spend.

12 Apr 2016 09:35:56
We need more goals in the team no doubt but I agree as I don't think it should be a striker I would look to add a direct winger capable of goals if we are going to play 1 up top. If klopp plans on playing two strikers or if we get rid one of sturridge/ ings/ origi which I don't think we will but then of course I'm sure a striker would become more of a necessity.

12 Apr 2016 10:41:40
Sturridge, Firmino, Origi, Ings, Sinclair, Yesil, Benteke and Balotelli all at the club. Klopp plays with 1 striker normally. We could sell 4 and not notice! Need to sell 5 at least before we bother to sign another.

12 Apr 2016 10:13:34
Bal and Ben are as good as gone. Which leaves Origi Ings Sturridge and Firmino. All four have been side lined at some point this season through being injured. It will all depend on the ego of Mr Sturridge, but I can see them 4 being more than capable in scoring regular, when starting games.

12 Apr 2016 13:28:55
4 forwards is enough, if they can stay fit. No worries in that department.

12 Apr 2016 16:55:00
The only real issue to consider is how good Ings is when he comes backs, will the injury have affected him indefinitely, etc etc? Once we know the answer to those questions a decision can then be made eh.

13 Apr 2016 07:28:21
That should be enough. If all 4 are injured, give the youth a chance. If they are ready, they will step up. Afteall, we didn't get them just to play reserve games did we?

Hi Eds,

Last time we got ings from relegated team.

How do you rate Janmat and possibility of signing him.

Regards
Jerrin.

Believable1 Unbelievable10

{Ed001's Note - I don't rate him in the slightest, he is a right sided Moreno with a terrible attitude and we have shown no interest.}

12 Apr 2016 07:43:00
He has never impressed me tbh i think we defensive first fullbacks who can join an attack eg azp (cant spell) and the opd ivanovic zabaletta flanno back to speed is this imho. Our defence is frail because moreno and clyne (not as much) attack before propper possesion is gained and let the centre backs.

12 Apr 2016 08:19:40
I would probably take Tim Krul from Newcastle if price was right, I would say a better keeper than we have currently.

{Ed001's Note - I am not a fan of his at all, he is just the same as Mignolet, flaps at crosses etc, but he is not as bad with his feet. No point in buying someone who will cost so much for so little improvement.}

12 Apr 2016 08:34:35
Weren't we interested in adama traore last summer? Don't think he's played much this year that I've seen anyway. But have we maintained any interest since klopp came in?

{Ed002's Note - He has been injured since the new year.}

12 Apr 2016 09:21:50
I remember one of the EDS saying we should go for mitrovic before he signed for Newcastle.

12 Apr 2016 11:29:53
In my opinion there are only a couple of players worth looking at from those likely to go down

1. Gini Wijnaldum - Very talented player who all in all has had a pretty good season with a terrible collection of overpaid mercenaries (can't call Newcastle a team), he's found it difficult at times this season coping with the pace and power of the Prem but I think you'll see a much improved player next year if he moves to a Prem team.

2. Rolando Aarons - Showed huge promise last season but has struggled this season (think he's had a lot of injuries) . With better coaching and better players around him I think he could be a terrific player, but we already have players of his age who are either as good or better.

There isn't anyone at Villa worth looking at and only Pickford at Sunderland but he's very raw and has a hell of a lot to learn yet.

Hello Ed's
A lot of rumours of Ibe deleting all links with Liverpool FC.
Really liked Ibe but seems there is something going on which we are not aware of.
Least to say, if we loose Ibe in summer i don't think it changes anything as we have replacements in Markovic and other youngsters who could also step up (Ojo, Sergi Canos)

I would like to see these 3 given the chance to prove themselves.

It's up to the young players to convince the Manager that they can perform at the level required when an opportunity arrives, through an injury, or the resting of a regular player. Origi perfect example. He has gone from Benteke understudy to first teamer through hard work and on field performance.
