I've been wondering for a while why we've been picking up results lately and I started to think it was because of pieces of individual skill, cohesion in the side, and the players pressing well and looking confident. But I had a feeling I was wrong and the echo proved that in their recent "exclusive." I guess rodgers says it's because of how he developes players. And he hasn't done that in the beginning of the season because *insert excuse here* I couldn't actually finish the article it was hard to focus with my head slowly shaking back and forth. I think rodgers could learn something from balos mailman remark. Act like you've been there before and stop acting like a self conscious teenage girl. But keep winning

Being a Liverpool supporter is a whole lot easier and less embarassing when you don't watch/listen or read any of Brendan's interviews or comments.
I haven't for about 2 years now, the only time I do is either by accident or second hand on here.
I am critical enough of Brendan as it is these days without being disappointed with the garbage he says on TV.
In fact I don't think I listen to anything that any manager says, it's all garbage.

Part of their contract with the media is that they have to do press conferences Some of the questions asked are so banal. How do you think you would do being asked stupid questions all the time

14 Mar 2015 08:30:44
so you think only Liverpool gets asked stupid questions all the time in press conferences?

They might not have a choice in doing the press conferences but we have a choice in deciding if we watch them or not.
I have absolutely no idea why anybody does to be honest, what are you getting from it?
I would probably do a lot better than Brendan I think, just avoid all the questions and talk about how hard your team works in training, how proud you are of (insert player who scored here) talk about how there are no easy games, then flash my nice shiny teeth, probably give a wink to the camera and say see you next week.
Easy.
Brendan over complicates the whole thing and talks absolute nonsense, the press realise this and lead him down the garden path.

The questions are so banal but Rodgers insists on over complication.

Maybe he should go old skool.

I just train the team. I just train the team?

Anfield is spot on. BR is incapable of side stepping a question or simply giving either diplomatic answers or giving an answer the reporter does not like but has to take. It seems he has an opinion on everything and wants you to hear it REGARDLESS of however dumb or irrelevant the topic is. That is why he says a lot of dumb and cringeworthy stuff.

12 games unbeaten in the league at this moment in time, let's see if we can't make it to the end of the season this time!

Can we beat last years winning streak?

Arsenal did 14 wins on the bounce a few years back.

That would be a great end to the season!

See big sam is tipping utd to get top 4 at r expense no surprise there I say but his reason for this is we may not score enough goals has he a point r has he got his I love fergie head on.

United aren't exactly flush with goals right now. Even the manager recognises it. Falcoa is playing for the under 21's persie injured and Rooney starts half the games in midfield. They are a woeful side. We're in form and starting to get goals across the pitch not to mention we have the leagues second top scorer last year getting up to speed. I can see big Sams point if he said that in November but the last 12 games don't lie.

Only problem is we have won a number of games by wonder goals. You can't score them every week.

13 Mar 2015 14:23:12
To be fair I don't think we have scored as many goals as we perhaps should have during our good spell.
If our form slips a little the lack of goals will cost us points.
But we do have Sturridge under performing at the moment, when he finds his feet again then that will help solve the problem. Ballotelli remembering he's a "professional" footballer again will help also, as he's been much improved as of late.
Lallana and coutinho are starting to show real form as well so I am starting to think top 4 is probable rather than just a maybe.
Fingers crossed United don't get it together between now and may as thier squad has so much talent and potential currently just being wasted.

I think we need to beat them next week, a draw not good enough. If we get the 3 points, then they'll have to do the catching up and pressure will start building on them.

Although all of our remaining games are now crucially important, the three key games pf ours will be us versus Utd, us versus Arsenal and us versus Chelsea.

Also of importance to us is Utd v Spurs, Utd v Chelsea, Utd v Arsenal, Utd v Man City & Arsenal v Chelsea. The results of these will also impact on us to a greater or lesser degree depending on how we do.

In addition, no need to add the Everton V Utd game to that schedule because judging by the shambles we saw last season vs City, they'll prolly tank that one as well. If you want something done right, do it yourself. We have lept over those ahead of us because we have beaten them head to head and we need to do that in order to get to the CL next year.

P.S: Stoke on the last day will NOT b a cakewalk either.

Hey eds
When do u see Wilson and canos getting a chance in the team?
And are they ready?
Perhaps Wilson needs a bit of bulking up.
And how do u rate Jordan Williams?
Thanks and keep up the good work :-D

{Ed001's Note - I expect a loan move for the pair next season and the club to monitor their progress. Neither look quite ready for a long run in the first team yet to me.

Williams I like a lot, again not sure if he is ready but he does look like a huge future prospect.}

13 Mar 2015 09:36:05
Will a loan move benefit Williams too?
Thanks for d reply!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - it usually does benefit players, not just because they get regular football, but because they get their feet kept on the ground.}

13 Mar 2015 11:44:40
Depends on the attitude of the player. Ibe is an example of that - he worked hard while on loan and proved himself to such an extent that not only is he back at Anfield but came straight back to first team football.

Just to add to your post LENIN, the club, manager and set up needs to be right for the player to flourish. Ibe was lucky in that respect and it's payed off for him.

I really like Williams too, he's one of those players who looks like he has ages on the ball and is already a very good passer of the ball too. He seems like a very calm head whenever I see him too. Maybe I'm getting too excited but he looks like he could be top draw

Edds, do you know why Hyypia and Finan are not playing Charity match?

{Ed001's Note - no I don't, but it is likely they just had prior engagements and so could not make it.}
