So, Ian Ayre suggests we can't get enough young reds fans in.

Here's a suggestion, stop being so greedy and consider the future.

It's fine to purchase players at a young age, in consideration of building a young squad or selling them on at an inflated price, but what about the young fans?

The future?

During a recent phone-in on City-talk, I listened to the opinion of a season ticket holder, who's theory on the stagnant atmosphere at Anfield was of a consequence of fans being 'too old' with expectations that far exceed reality.

There you go, simple.

Get them in and spoil them, otherwise, our club is nothing.

Fair play to Everton who are exploiting this throughout Merseyside, such to an extent that my five year old now likes Everton!

I guess self entitlement is a serious issue then with our fans.

Could you be a millionaire in a belter mansion with butlers and fast cars, never having to worry until bang the stock market crashes and you end up on 200 quid a week renting a small 1 bedroom flat only for your worst enemy who was on that 200 pound a week going and winning the lottery and is now that billionaire.

You do come close to getting it back every few years when you buy that scratch card and get the odd ten grand, only for the stock market to each it up when you want to invest it and then you get that scratch cars and your winning it's there 1 house, 2 house and is the next one a house noo its a bungalow and you have had four of them scratch cards!

There is sympathy there!

Old people moan.

Middle class wealthy southerner old people moan even more than bill from old swan.

Foreigners stay silent because they don't know how to moan in our language.

Thats basically the problem with the anfield atmosphere nowadays.

There are of course things that can be done to make it better, and doing good deals for kids tickets if definately the best option, agree with davey, everton do it well.

Introducing safe standing and singing sections would really improve it as well. If we did that i can't see why the atmosphere wouldn't improve.

United and Liverpool how is that weird? That's why the fans who are old are so bitter. They had it all and now have had to suffer for years whilst all our rivals take our mantle and ****ing keep it without what's looking like any chance of getting it back. Year after year after year they renew those tickets and keep coming back, and are continually disappointed. That's why I have sympathy for them.

And that's why my analogy makes perfect sense! Thank you and good night 😊.

I don't agree with safe standing.
Did they use that in Athens 2007? Either way there was still a dangerous crush that night.

Sorry, 96 reasons to never go back IMO.

Singing sections. Been saying it for years.

Sorry Ron but in my opinion poor facilities and more to the point bad management had more to do with what happened in Hillsborough than the fact they were standing. Safe standing can be and has been done. I would like to think we have learned mistakes of the past. I do appreciate that this is still an incredibly sensitive matter and i understand not everyone will be of the same opinion. This is just my opinion.

As an Englishman I'm disappointed to say that I'm afraid English football fans can't be trusted to stand.

Agree with Chris. Safe standing works in places where the general public can be trusted to stand safely!

I go to watch dublin in gaa football on terraces, you can't beat the atmosphere but 96 fans died so I respect the decision for all seater stadiums, it's a shame we can't sort it out but we are where we are.

Years ago we used to go to the ground two hours before the game to "learn the songs" (more learning order of songs really! ) Everyone knew what they were singing before it started, the atmosphere was great.

Couldn't they keep the stands how they are but just out bars infront of the seats do you can stand. No extra admissions but at this moment people are standing when it is big games or away fans dint actually sit I dint think so it would be a no brainer to out the bars infront.

Also when teams score everyone jumps up and stands etc.

Sitting down is hard because you cab become quite lethargic, lime your at home.

Out of respect for the 96 it shouldn't be done but it would be nice to honor them with a way people can stand like they did and sing for there team.

96!

There's no reason why we can't win at Citeh next Saturday.
For once the international-break might work in our favour!
We could start with a strong squad and, hopefully, Aguero will still be out!
Sakho, Lucas, Moreno, Ibe, Texeira, Mignolet, Skrtel, Allen and Can have all flourished recently under the best manager in the League, Jurgen Klopp!

We'll be without Sahko which will b a HUGE blow at the back. Hopefully, Lovren and Skittles can have a good game.

I agree a lot will come down to Lovren and Skrtel and whether can tie down Aguero if he's back.
