Just the stats of Liverpools New signing's from last season. Enrique, 0 goals 4 assists. Henderson,3 goals 5 assists.Downing,7 goals 9 assists. Adam,9 goals 12 assists. Jan window,Suarez 4 goals,5 assists, Carroll 13 goals,5 assists. Now with Kuyt,Maxi,Gerrard, their's goals all and creativity all over our side while being hard working as well, and we look a lot more dangerous from set pieces then we have done fora long time Jonson6
--------------------------------------------
All well and good mate but we need a 20+ a season goal scorer, hopefully either Suarez, Gerrard or Carroll find their goal scoring form (preferably 2 out of the 3) sooner rather than later as we can be as creative as Barcelona but if our finishing is sh1te then we will not be title or even top 4 contenders. Bellamy is also a creative player, if you analyse our squad we are arguably in the top 3 in terms of creativity, the finishing though needs to improve. Adam, Kuyt, Downing, Carroll, Henderson, Agger and even Suarez have all been wasteful with chances so far. Hopefully this will change against Spurs, I would play 4-3-3 with Lucas, Adam and Henderson in Midfield and Bellamy, Downing and Suarez as an interchanging attacking 3 and have Gerrard, Kuyt, Coates, Maxi, Spearing, Fanno on the bench.

Hi Edds! Do you think Liverpool will take a dive to let man city win this year and stop man united like they did with chelsea 2 seasons back?
We handed them a 2-0 win via a brillaint assist from Stevie G
{Ed009's Note - I certainly hope not. I would never condone cheating to let another team win, regardless of the reason.}

Only if we have nothing to play for. I for 1 love the romantic notion that gerrard ment both them assists (first 1 was saved so he did it again).

Dream: Liv 2 - Tot 0
Likely: Liv 0 - Tot 2
If we are lucky, 1 - 1.

I watched Spurs game vs. Wolves. Parker and Adebayor both steals.

Copper

Never dominated the game the way we did against a much better Stoke team. Wolves will go down

Wolves much better than you think...they will not be relegated...Stoke will finish at the very least in the top half of the table...

Does anybody know if there is a time limit on the planing permission granted to build on Stanley Park ?. I like the majority of Reds love Anfield with all the memories and such a rich history and tradition , however the place lost something special when the old Kop was demolished which greatly reduced our capassity and inevitably the atmosphere . I accept this change was made for all the right reasons (all seating stadia) . IMO its time to build on our rich history and achievements in a New Bigger and Better Anfield (finance allowing), we have the supporters and such a sense of togetherness that I believe we could make the transition from old to new a seamless one . kk is helping to fix our Great Club after many years of mistakes and mis-management what an ideal time to create a new footballing dynasty in a new home for the next 100 years. YNWA .

Mark C.

Was due to expire this month but will be extended till dec. Expect amendments to be submitted within the next 3 weeks

Huyton red

Planning permissions usually last for 5 years.
I'm not sure when the last one was granted but it may be as Hutton Red says, sounds about right.
Do we know when the Council's full planning committee next meet and, if its soon, somebody get a copy of the list of cases they'll hear - it is a public document. Cheers.
The Real KB

What do Ed think I mean they sure have betetr source {Ed001's Note - I believe Huyton Red to be correct. No one can be entirely sure, but there should be no problem extending the planning permission. I really don't foresee any problems and it is good to see FSG keeping their options open, just in case, though my personal preference would be to expand Anfield.}

i am gutted for martin kelly picking that little pull of his hamstring probably just before getting called up but now what makes it worse is smalling is playing half decent at right back and everybody knows its all politics when it comes to getting picked for england its like if you play for united you have some god giving right to start for your nation

just been reading the post about agueros wages and all the little bonuses he gets for apps, scoring etc.
got me thinking, should players in the future get paid more bonuses and less basic salary?
think of all the deadwood we got rid of in the summer picking up massive weekly wages for nothing.
if they were paid for team apps, goals, assists, etc it would prob provide more of an incentive to actually do some work. or if they were still crap we wouldnt be losing out as much, if we signed our young or new players on contracts that payed a very little weekly wage 5-10k as an example then gave them 250k per goal, 50k per assist 20k per appearance etc. i wonder how different the game would be if this was the case.
i know it will never happen and its a shame.

MIKEY

Mikey it would benefit the club but players would simply go else where for a full wage. Remember mangers only sign players they think will do well. Not players they think will be dead wood

Hmmmm i could see lots of greediness going on, players ignoring to pass to teamates who are in a better scoring position.

I'd be happy with appearance based incentives, but you risk selfish play if everyone us getting paid per goal.

Well some players are in it for the money so giving them 50 grand more a week if they score or we keep a clean sheet might just make them push on that bit more

Might find your left with very small squads with very little back up on the bench . Players will not sit around on the off chance they may get paid this weekend , they have families and bills like the rest of us.

Mark C

Thanks for all the replys.
if all clubs did it and not just liverpool it would make it very interesting.
might make players more greedy, but if a player keeps trying to go past 2,3,4, players and failing trying to get that bonus he could always get dropped, losing his appearance bonus. but if a player does put in a bit of extra effort and goes past them 2,3,4 players and scores a great goal then it will be great to watch.
like i say will never happen but players wages will have to get sorted sooner rather than later. it will ruin the game.

MIKEY

Mark c. i did say they will have a basic of 10k a week. im sure they can live on that lol
and i dont think the squads would diminish in numbers if all the clubs had the same policy as they are not going to get another job that pays 10k a week basic. you not met many footballers?
thicks not the word.

MIKEY

I seem to remeber that at the time of Ian Rush and earlier the pay structure was a lower wage and higher bonuses.

Milito just strolled though uniteds super defence. Couldn't see him doing the same against cara.

Huyton Red

You mean United's backup defence. They still pulled back a point in the game while essentially sitting all their stars, save Rooney. I wish Liverpool had the conviction United show.

Thanks for making my point. Uniteds current defence is due to injuries not choice. So stop with the "united play youth defence we should play Coates". It's a joke.

Jonson6 gets stick for his abrasive posts. But he posted this afternoon about us playing 3 centre backs against Spuds and now a few are mentioning it.So credit were its due Jonson.ss

I personally regard jonson6 as a superb fan and poster on this site, He always sticks up for our great club and wears his heart on his sleeve but he also has the bottle and dignity to say if he's wrong or made a mistake. Spot on jonson pal the majority on here are right behind you pal.

I'm so pissed off as a Liverpool supporter right now, i don't know what the f*** KK is trying to do?!

Hendo/Carrol for outrageous money, and now to sell Mereiles before Gerrard is confirmed fully fit?!

We've lost a great player there.

Jokes.

Not that you deserve a reply but your going to get one anyway,

your a tit.

MIKEY

Why are you pretending to be a Liverpool fan? Is your own club's page really that dull? {Ed009's Note - I believe his closing statement "jokes" means that he was being sarcastic.}

I don't want to judge Kenny til Christmas. If we lose at Tottenham this weekend, all the so called 'fans' will want his blood. Mark my words!

You are the joke you idiot. You are clearly not a Red. Shove off and stick your head up Fergie's smelly nose.

14 Sep 2011 20:05:27
Sebastian Coates spent his summer containing the likes of Messi and Aguero in a team he had not played with before. I think he's ready for Pavelychenko and Defoe.

Ash

At last someone who can see the future...

Curled1

For a team of players he's trained with for months at international level and years at club level for years

You defend as a unit Ash. And that's the issue. It would be a brand new unit. Coates wont replace Carra at Spurs mate, no way.
Maybe, just maybe, we'll go 3 x centre backs. But that depends on injuries too.
Coates on the bench.
The Real KB

Am i the only one who thinks that we should rotate players if they are not playing well? like what we did with carroll.. i myself think that carra over the last two games has put himself or should have put himself in the hotseat! we always say but its this and that, and, carra is ride or die but i don't think he can keep up or keep hes concentration for a whole match. this isn't a carra dif just a reminder that he is 33, 34 in 4 months we need to play carra less and less its the only way the team is going to deal with the change that will come we he isn't around anymore.

He had never been with the Uruguay squad befor the Copa and no one else from Nacional was called up. Do some research you muppet before you post. And leave a name.

Ash

Coates was in the squad of the concaf cup against costa rica. So was involved before the copa America.

And 14 of the 23 Uraguian squad started there career at national. But your right. Someone else needs to do the research.

Huyton Red

Not to mention the language barrier.
Coates on the bench.
The Real KB

By the way not sure if I tagged my post about Coates being in concaf squad against costa rica or that 14 of the 23 started at national but will this.

Huyton red

Never heard of the "concaf" cup Huyton Red, but you may be talking about the "Concacaf Gold Cup," which would make it a little difficult for Uruguay to compete in since they are not part of CONCACAF. Also you mention that 14 of the 23 man squad previously played for Nacional. Fistly, I never said that no one else in the team had played for Nacional before and secondly, do you think that Coates even trained with them seeing as he is only 20 now? Having said that, you probably have got your facts wrong anyway, AGAIN.

All the best,
Ash

Coates can speak English, he learnt from his father, don't know how good? but he can speak and understand English probably enough for a game of footy? Methinks
kidmillions

I read 1 of his grandparents was british so i assue his dad would speak english

No ash actually I mean the concacaf conmebol the qualifying game uraguay won to qualify for the 2010 world cup.

Think you will also find that players like, Gonzalez who left in 2010, Fenandez 2010 and Lodeiro 2010 all played with Coates in the National team that won the league and reached the final of the copa libraries in 2009.

An important factor also worth noting is he was playing along side Lugano. A player very similar to cara.

Ash I do accept appologies and acknowledgement of supior knowledge.

Red Ollie, i just noticed your post were you mentioned your age. 17. Not trying to patronise you but you seem to know a thing or 2 about a thing or 2 when it comes to footy. Dont always agree with your posts but their always worth a read and you talk a lot of sense in your centre half post. A good example is when Italy got knocked out of the the World cup on pens and they only conceded one goal the whole tourney up till then, went out on pens to Argentina and that was that. My point being, like you said, they had the ball carrying i'll take it anyway but up the clacker,centre back in Franco Bareise(spelling). and his partner in crime was the old fashioned stopper who couldn't pass wind after a plate of beans and sprouts in Bergomi. A goal keeping error led to Argentina's goal as well so i think you can be a Franco type player, or a Bergomi type, but not really both styles playing together. Good point mate, really good post. I guess you play Saturday or Sunday league footy yourself because you dont sound like you've spent half your life learning about footy playing Fifa. Jonson6 {Ed009's Note - I'm 17 too, maybe me and Red Ollie know each other...}

That explains everything!

I thought this was an under-18s site?

Thanks a lot jonson6, yeah I played sunday league until recently, had to break it off cos I'm going to uni in october but hoping to join a team there. I don't pretend to be an expert on football, just give my opinions like everyone else here. Nice to know there's someone who finds them interesting at least. Ed009, I'm sure you secretly know everyone on here

Nathan Ecclestone to have his contract terminated and be told to find himself a new club once the club holds it's inquiry. American owners are absolutely furious with him and do not want their brand name dragged down in the USA on this the 10th anniversary of 9/11 and while American soldiers are fighting a war. Ecclestone refusing to do anything other than remove the tweets.

hi eds on sunday think we shud play a formation kenny likes as used last year against chelses an stoke
an go 3 5 2.
pepe
skrtel carra agger
kelly an enrique as wing backs
lucas adam an hendo an bring steve on for the last 20
suarez an dirk

think this team will be more than enough for spurs an also gives us more options as the game goes on if we need to one of the centre backs can come off an bring on an attacker.
wat u think eds think kenny myt go for sumthing like this.

belfast red adam {Ed009's Note - He could do, but with the strength of our centre backs being called into question somewhat, it might not be entirely wise. Its pretty hard to question Kenny's decision making anyhow.}

See your point ed009 think thats why he may go with 3 at the back with kelly an enrique pushing on itl give them more time on the ball with just adebayor an defoe pressureing them then we wont have to clear long which would play into spurs hands with luis an dirk up top we need to be playing the balls into feet an into space.
belfast red adam

14 Sep 2011 19:34:19
I'd agree that, at some point, carra should make way for coated. I dunno if spurs away is that point though. Don't forget we've got a new left back, both main right backs possibly out injured. Taking carra out would mean only one established defender. All the offsides, set pieces, overlapping, covering. Not easy at all to sort out this quickly.
So, after a bit more work on the training ground - yes.
Until then I think kenny will stick with carra.
The Real KB

Agree completely.

The white Pele? You taking the piss again Fergie? Rooney's
form is up and down at a higher frequency the one of his
prostitute's panties. Was he even on the pitch last time we
played ManU at Anfield, cos I did'nt notice him. He always seems to have an inferiority complex when he faces Liverpool,
just like when he played in the last world cup. In how many
world cups did Pele shine as one of the greatest players ever to kick a football. No comparison!

RedAce

What he meant to say was the Green Pele.

Curled1

Or simply the fat whore mongering Pele?

White pele? I'm guessing old whiskey nose is talking about the active volcano on the surface of Jupiter's moon, Io which is coincidentally called 'pele' and bears a likeness to the shape of rooney's head. The 'white' must be a reference to one of Io's largest plumes, Pele-type plumes, which are created when sulfur and sulfur dioxide gas exsolve from erupting magma at volcanic vents or lava lakes, a bit like what goes on inside rooney's head. That fergie is a bright spark, isn't he?

How can he be like Pele, Pele's 70 and has all his own hair!

I've said many times Carra was great alongside Big Sammi Hyppia but since them days we have been vulnerable at the heart of our defence and the one common denominator is Carra. We have been conceding soft goals for a long time. We can no longer blame zonal marking? Yeah! Do you remember all the debates on zonal marking. I said at that time Carra not being able to head a ball properly and lack of pace was more evident without Sammi and more of a problem than zonal marking.
New Players don't get introduced to the Liverpool Way by playing a good few games for the stiffs anymore sadly.
So in my opinion Kenny will quite soon maybe not this week? introduce Coates into the the Team and then if the lad grabs the opportunity we'll be all the better for it, as a team.
Carra will probably at this stage of his career play a lot better with limited opportunities ie covering for injuries and suspension thus enabling him to keep his reputation and honour intact. Much the same as Sammi did towards the end.
Maldini was booed my Milan fans towards the end " Unbeleivable I know" Wouldn't want that to happen to Carra.

Just the stats of Liverpools New signing's from last season. Enrique, 0 goals 4 assists. Henderson,3 goals 5 assists.Downing,7 goals 9 assists. Adam,9 goals 12 assists. Jan window,Suarez 4 goals,5 assists, Carroll 13 goals,5 assists. Now with Kuyt,Maxi,Gerrard, their's goals all and creativity all over our side while being hard working as well, and we look a lot more dangerous from set pieces then we have done fora long time, never fancied us to bag from 1 unless Soto was playing, the same goes from defending, when Carroll ripped us apart on his own,Skertel was marking Carroll on set pieces,Soto came on cant remember who for and straight away i said to my mate, he'll pick Carroll up from set pieces and not being clever after but the very next set piece Soto did. As clumsy as he could be,Soto will always have a place in my heart because he always tried, always competed, loved playing for Liverpool, when he ever came on as sub he'd charge on as fast as he could, before he got booked for time wasting,na i really wish Soto well as clumsy as he could be. I was always nervous when defending them as well unless Soto was on their which should show how far we've come. Watch us rip Spurs a new one. Someone is really gonna be in for a hiding sooner rather then later, i truly belive that that defeat wouldn't have dented confidence at all but make us belive that we can take on any team, any style, any where. I'm sure the team has been doing plenty of finishing drills this week. I also belive that having Big Andy at the club will help Coates's transition to the Prem and also help Andy. I bet they have some great duels in training, aerialy and on the deck. He'll realise just by training against Carroll, the physicality of the Prem required because Andy will be doing his best to impress as will Coates in order to impress the management team and try and break into it. Sorry for the lack of paragraphs, and the length, a long post even for me. Jonson6

I would just like to point out that our greatest enemy currently have Smalling and Jones playing at the heart of there defence and hate to say it but they look awesome.

Which just goes to prove if your good enough you should be played. As good as Jones or Smalling are I did not expect them to get too many premiership game experiance this season behind Ferdinand and Vidic.

Instead ferguson chose to sell experianced Brown and O'Shea and show trust and faith in youth, gamble or not it's paid off big time, they look like they have played together for years not weeks.

This is where my point is Carra as much as a legend as he is has been off the pace for the last 18 months or so if we are honest, yes he would get into 75% of the premiership first 11 teams but it's time for change. I say this with a sad heart as I am a massive Carra fan but this is a new season the first in years that we have a (touch wood) fully fit Danny Agger who is by far the best natural defender we have.

I feel the time has come for Coates to played alongside Agger with Enrique and Kelly when fit to be our best four defenders. People keep saying that Coates needs time to settle but does he really? This guy is an unbelievable footballer who I believe is already better than both Jones and Smalling.

Agger and Coates should be played now together they would be the new Hansen and Lawrenson only better, with Enrique and Kelly at either side of them we would have one of the best back fours in Europe.

Don't leave it too late Kenny make the move now before Carras mistakes start catching him up....

Curled1

Hope Kelly can stay fit. Agree, time to introduce Coates.

Skrtle would get in the team ahead of coates if carra were to be dropped. he is a much improved player and consistant.
coates is for the future. he will get a few games in the cups and as cover for injurys and if he does turn out to be the real deal king kenny is the perfect manager to give him a chance. if your a young CB at a massive club like liverpool and a legend like carra is dropped for conceding a penalty then your nerves will be shot and you will be terrified of making a mistake. give him time.
also carra still has a season left in him.

MIKEY

I agree to some extent to your post but you can't compare Coates to Jones or Smalling just yet! Jones played every game bar a few for Blackburn last year and Smalling was playing the majority of games for Fulham. My point is these 2 are experienced in the EPL and both speak English. Coates is 20 years of age and only just broken into the Nacional team. Yes he will be a fantastic player and a great bargain in my eyes but you can't just throw him in @ the deep end in the EPL. Carra offers a lot more to our defence than just defending. Agger wouldn't be half the player is without Carra's organisation skills. Carra will play less and less games but dropping him and playing Coates would be a bit silly. By all means when we are 2 or 3 up @ home against Wolves with 20 minutes left bring Coates on.

Coates is going to be our next Sami Hyypia and maybe more.

Brown and o'shea were sold because they have never been good enough to hold down a regular place. Not fit to lace cara's boots.

Smalling is actually been playing right back while evans and jones have been playing in the middle. This isnt due to fergy's faith in them but forced upon them due go injuries.

Team performances seem to be clouding peoples judgement. Our defence didn't concede against Arsenal and kept Bolton to 8 shots on goal while uniteds might defence conceded 2 to arsenal and allowed Bolton 16 attempts on goal.

Apart from that your right.

huyton red

The whole purpose of my original post was to highlight the prospect of playing youth, ferguson had done this for the last 20yrs and won everything inluding numerous titles, even when ridiculed by Hansen over playing a young Beckham, Giggs, Scholes, Sharpe, etc etc he ignored them all and was proved right. The young Mexican striker Chico had never played in the premiership and speaks no English yet was a star last season, that did not stop ferguson playing him did it....

Ferguson has got the recipe for success "YOUTH" we need to take a leaf out of his book...

Curled1

In 20+ years (even when the super crop of youngsters came through) fergy has always had a seasoned pro at the back. Paslister, stam, blanc, rio to name a few.

Trust me vidic will be straight back in the team and possible rio. His back line and goalkeeper are very young at the moment not threw choice and have been caught out again tonight.

Huyton Red,rose tinted glasses comes to mind, jamie wouldn't get into any of the top 6 teams in the prem,My knowledge is up to standard,How many times has a loss come due to a carra mistake...(loads)..I would of kept big sami myself..(legend)but his lfc career soon got shelved..So dont talk about knowledge mate....

Well Carra would get into the Arsenal, Chelsea, City and Spurs first teams. So you're wrong

Red Ollie

Your knowledge sounds impeccable with the figure of "loads". Not bad out 300+ games.

Seem to remember a few rio mistakes. He's never been bombed.

Huyton Red

Thanks for the comedy post Red Ollie.

Carra would not get into any of those mentioned above except arsenal

Too be fair I could get in to the Arsenal back four right now -Mc

I can see why you're all on carra's case, but think about this...how many times has he saved us with a last minute slide/tackle compared to how many mistakes he's made?

My point is simple, KK will know when the time is right. Any old Lfc fans will tell you Kk never flinched when it came to making unpopular decisions last time round...selling rush, aldridge, dropping Beardsley, molby to name but a few.
On the face of it I don't think that time has come yet. But it's obviously in his mind. Remember he recommended Wilson, bought Coates. What we do have now are 4 top cb's, plus wilson an Kelly who can fill in.

As for the spuds...why are we even getting in a state sbout it? We went to the Arse (granted understrength but still had arshavin, rvp, Walcott and Ramsey playing) and won.. As for playing 3 cb, I can see sense in that.
If Kelly/jonno not fit put Hendo as rwb with Enrique other side, carra agger skrtl cb's, Adam Lucas in front of them
With bellers Suarez and downing up top. 3-4-3 going forward, 5-4-1 defending. Or kuyt for bellers.

Have no fear folks, trust Kk. In all games this year (since Kk been in charge) we've taken the game to the opposition. The spuds are there for the taking and if we play like we have over the last 4 games we shud win

I see TK-Red has made a very sensible point (unusual for a manc on here) with regard to Coates. He says jones and smalling doing well etc.

Would just like to say jones and smalling/evans have been forced in and done well. If the same think happened at anfield Coates came in and done well I would keep him in but wouldn't gamble on Coates this weekend.

Jones, Evans and Smalling all had previous premier league experience.

Plus when your attacking players score 13 goals in 2 games it easy to over look the fact that your team conceded 2 goals against the most unorganised, inexperienced team I've ever seen in the prem. And that Bolton had 16 attempts on goal.

Hello everyone! Very interesting move by KK to meet with Riley, and however it pans out it ref decisions will be a focal point from now on. I'm more concerned with the goal unfairly allowed than not getting decisions, such as carra pen that cost us a poimt. Sure handball cost us the win, bit we control that and should be more clinical with chances. To the point- what if after each goal the play is reviewed upstairs to confirm there was nothing shady. Missed chances sorry try again. This way at least the scord (reason we compete) won't be unfairly affected. NFL just started a review for all scoring plays and it's an massive improvement. DTM07. No need to say sorry pal. Ye 7 goals and 1 assist was all Bale the wonder winger mustered in the Prem last season. Our own supposed crocked captain had 5 assists and 4 goals in Prem in 22 Prem games not inc his hatrick v Napoli. One things for certain,Bale played more then the 22 games Gerrard played. 12 goals for Bale and 3 assists in all comps. Like i said, very good player yes, overrated defo, potentials their but no where near the player he's made out to be. More worried about Lennon then Bale to be honest. Whoever they play on the right, its another statistical fact that Enrique was by far the hardest full back to go past. Only 9 times all season, no one else comes close, think Evra's.Cole and Baines were double that min. Hope that clears things up for you pal. Jonson6

Nice post mate.
i dont think many people imagined how good enrique would turn out to be.
I thought he was a decent solid left back that will do us a job so we can spend the big money on other areas.
I was very wrong, he looks like "the" big money signing of the summer.
all credit goes to kenny, commoli, and the scouting team for seeing what nobody else did and bring him here.

Could anyone please enlighten me with an update on the Gillette and Hicks scenario regarding their court case? Are they still seeking compensation regarding the sale and could there be any implications for LFC and/or FSG or is/was it aimed at Martin Broughton and Co?
It just seems to have gone very quiet on that front so maybe they have given up? (Heres hoping) Many thanks if anyone can help...

If Eccleston really posted that he should be gone. Termination of contract for bring the club into disrepute. You or I would suffer the same. I do not want anyone playing for LFC with an attitude like that. If he did do it, he is an idiot.....facebook etc is public and will come back to bite you in the bum.

That is not to mention the commercial aspect of USA ire at his comments.

Iggypop

I haven't read what ecclestone has written but there are some documentaries that I have seen that have uncovered quite alot of evidence to suggest that there are a few inconsistencies in what has been reported re 911. I'm not saying that I believe that 911 was an "inside job" but could this be what ecclestone was referring to? Not overly clever given that his employers are American, I know, but terminating his contract seems a bit harsh. Maybe a fine would be enough? Thoughts eds?..... {Ed001's Note - I think anyone wanting his contract terminated for giving an opinion is a bit sad. This is meant to be a free country, he has a right to his own opinion and it is a disgrace that he is being persecuted merely for having a different opinion from the mainstream.}

Maybe you should go on the conspiracy page and getted slammed for your rather stupid opinion he had an opinion shared by many many people and how do you know that 9-11 was not planned just for the yanks to get oil, many governments have done many things to its people at their own benefit but then again if you want eccleston fired for his opinion maybe you should get banned from this site for yours

MJ

What a load of crap Iggypop! He should be gone, he's not the only one who thinks along those lines!

Ash

He was voicing his opinion

Unfortunately I have to agree. And I would say the same no matter if it was a junior or senior player.

Iggy i cant believe that anyone has the right to tell people how to think for themselves, hes free to think it was the cia or whoever and if that's what he believes that then hes allowed to say it, he hasnt said anything like the Americans deserve it for all the blood on their hands over the years he just expressed a point of view that's alternative

Everyone knows 9/11 was done under a false flag

He was just saying what most people know

America is not the world's saviour, infact America is out to destroy the world and rebuild America with Mexico and Canada as one.

People need to wise up and learn how the world operates, we are also just stock of the Illuminati or rather that is how they see us.

When banks fails they don't go out of business like other companies do instead the working man is taxed higher to pay for all this.

Look at what's happening in the UK, higher taxes, less public service, deterioration of the fabric of society it's all orchestrated by the one world government.

Look at the EU, herman, jose, etc. not one of them is elected yet 500M are subject to their stupidity however are they reallt that silly or is there something more secret behind what goes on?

The world is run by secret societies!

Coupling that and the fact he's from manchester
aintree dave

I have no problem that he has his own opinion on things, apart from the fact that the evidence overwhelmingly points to 9/11 being a terrorist attack so I'm disappointed he's an idiot...what I am more disappointed with though, is posting his opinion on a social networking site. He's a footballer, he has a responsibility not to post anything that may offend some people. I don't really rate him as a player anyway tbh

Red Ollie

The guy is entitled to his opinion fair enough. There is evidence to suggest he could be right, sure.
But he's still a complete wellend for even discussing it on the anniversary. It's ONE DAY where you just have to shut the cluck up.
No-one has any decency anymore. It's not a question of having the right to do something, it's a question of whether it's right to do it.
Duckula {Ed009's Note - Agree wholeheartedly Duckula. Some sensitivity wouldn't go amiss at times.}

There is a new conspirices page for all this rubbish. its quite good and worth a read. however i just read it for a laugh.
the stuff about the starchild skull the other day was good. load of crap tho dont belive it. its been proven now with DNA.
what ecclestone did was wrong. people with offensive opinions should keep them to themselves. the illuminati died out about 200 years ago after they where banned. they were never even a proper group. more a wannabe freemason group.
they only live on thanks to hollywood films and people in america trying to scam money.
a worldwide secret governing body is simply not possible, it would leak like an allotment shed.

Why was it wrong?????? he didnt say the victims deserved to die. read a book man.

I agree with Red Ollie! don't really rate him! Alphared

The evidence does not overwhelmingly point to a terrorist attack

Onre building blew up that no plane hit how did this happen?

The aerospace around this part of new york is protected by fighter aircraft and has been since the Cold War, security has not been relaxed since. You need special codes to fly in this area of the fighter yets will be scrambled long before you get to the twin towers?

Why were no jets scrambled?

Many esteemed American Enginners have said the towers could not fall from the impact of the aircraft, so what brought them down?

Many people claim to have heard explosions after the plannes had crashed into the towers, Amercian has an explosive that leaves no trace behind, I can't remember what its called but its easily attainable though a web search.

9/11 served the illuminati purpose of stripping away rights from the American people which Bush did after the Attack.

Bin Laden died at least 10 years ago and the announcement of his death by Obama is a joke. Bin Laden had Kidney problems and with Amercia bombing the s**te of Aghan strongholds where BL was said to hide out these must have been some hide out places for the bombs not to have an effect on his kidney machine that he needed to keep him alive.

We are just stock to the illuminati much like a cow to a farmer they believe they can kill us off any time and there are plans to shrink the worlds population.
Swing flu etc. did not just come about by nature it was man made in a Lab in the good ol USA. Look at all the money American Drug companies made from the swine flu vaccine!

The masses being ignorant about the illuminati is just how they like it, its time to wise up people, disregard the illuminati at your peril, there;s more to life than football and nathan seems to understand that - what a smart guy he is for his age

The illuminati did not die out it merely went underground

We are controlled by the Money men of the world who are Illuminati

They control the UN and other organizations that falsely operate,

Get the book the Grand Chessboard and learn a little about the world you live in for what you see of the world is a lie.

Open your eyes

We are constantly being manipulated!

Hi Eds,
I thought i would wait a few days and have time to reflect before commenting on saturdays game as i at the time fell into the trap of feeling sorry for ourselves regarding refereeing decisions. After days to think we really only have ourselves to blame for many missed chances, but also credit to stoke city who were determined to hold on to their lead and threw themselves at everything to keep their lead in tact. Sometimes us supporters (me included) fall foul of just expecting liverpool to role these teams over and forget that other teams will expect to win games just like us and fight hard to do so. But in saying this the performance at stoke this season compared to last seasons was a world apart, and we werent troubled at all from set plays, throw ins, and we matched them physically, so i feel if we keep playing this way and maintain our belief then we will win more games than we will draw or lose. It aint going to happen overnight as the top end of the league is very strong this season but we have come a long way in the past twelve months so keep up the good work liverpool and the eds. Thank you for your time and letting me voice my opinions. Enjoy the site eds. Great work and effort you put in each day.

Kind Regards
Willo

Couldn't put it better myself but would say if we would of got the pen pullis said we deserved. Goals change games and they couldn't sit back the way they did.

Bale can be unplayable on his day, but them days are very few and far between. I dont care, he played well in Europe and really has feasted on that ever since. How can a winger can gain such a reputation whilst providing one assist in the Prem all season is beyond me. He's a very good player but i'd have Downing all day before Bale. Goals, assists and works just as hard if not harder then Bale. If he works on his game, he could become as complete a player as Downing is now, he'll get their more them likely but he sure aint all he's cracked upto be at this moment in time. 1 assist for any wide player, in any div is a pretty poor effort.3 assists in all comps. Jonson6

Jonson6, is that 1 assist so far this season or did you mean all last season?

Sorry mate, can you just clear that up.

Hi eds people talk about carragher becoming a coach ,but I have to ask will he teach the big boot or hoofing as we now call it I always cringe when he bangs it upfield beacause I know its coming right back.most of you out there wont remember a guy who played for a everton (yea) named t/g jones the best center half the ever lived as a kid and liverpool fan i would go to watch him at ever oppertunity when he passed the ball it was NEVER more than a couple of inches off the ground, the problem with having seen the best like finney/john charles/best/liddell/pele/its differcult to watch some of this other crap/.hoofing was taught to us in the liverpool schoolboys over 50 years ago and nowdays should be a hanging offence or 20 years in the nick.

Mate your obviously a lot wiser and older than my 28 years, and I totally appreciate you've seen an awfull lot more than I have, I never like to criticise my elders. But if all you can see from Jammie Carragher is a hoof, then you need to look a bit closer, Carra in my oppinion is in the top 5 centre halves I've seen play in England, he reads the game as well as anyone, he is a naturall leader, his attitude is amazing he'll always put his body on the line and give 100% for the club, there's never any off field issues. I'm sure there ane many great managers/coaches that have come from being no nonsence defenders and I think Carra will be another.

Gman82

I'm with gman on this also a 1982 child

Huyton red

Hi carragher may HAVE been all you say he WAS he still does not use the ball coming out of defence and never has,top five ENGLISH center halfs(yahoooo)

I'm 17 so I've seen very few great defenders, but for me Carragher is one of the greats of the modern era. There are 2 types of defender; those who are confident in carrying the ball and passing out of defence, and those who make defending their priority and aren't as good on the ball. Defenders of the first type, like Agger, Carvalho, Jones, Luiz etc. are invaluable. But having 2 such defenders at the heart of your defence will lead to mistakes and defeat. Carragher is very much a defender who makes defending his priority; reading the game, making big tackles and organising the defence. He is one of the best in the league at his job. Sometimes you don't realise how much you'll miss someone of his experience and calibre until he's gone. I thank god that Kenny knows his football enough to know just how important Carra still is to the team

Anyone know where our goals are going to come from this season? Don't see Suares getting 20 or 30. Maybe 15 but that aint enough.

For example against Bolton it was Henderson, Skrtel, Adam who scored....why worry, if the team plays well the goals will come and who cares who delivers them! YNWA

Do you see the goals we scored when KK took over in January? Well that's where we are gonna get our goals from this season. Add to that, Gerrard, Downing & Carroll will also make a contribution. Plenty of fire power I think!

The Irish Rover

Suarez, Carroll, Bellamy, Downing, Gerrard, Henderson, Adam, Kuyt, Maxi, even Glen Johnson and Agger and Skrtel can pop in.

Hope that covers it.

Indian Red,how are you pal. Still getting over not winning a game re India's tour, seems the Gods are against you pal and if they'd prepared right they probably have been playing like this earlier. Just a point on Coates. If your good enough it doesn't matter what age you are but i understand of your concerns about putting him in to early because one error and the fans will be jumping down K.K's throat for putting him in to early, well posters on here anyhow. He's played in a team that won the Urb league, came as Uraguay's 4th choice centre half in the Copa and we all know he ended up the young player of the tourney. His club side got to the Semi final of the Copa Libatadores. He's played big games many times before was thrown in right at the deep end and coped well. He's also got that valuable commodity of pace, i really think it'll be sooner rather then later when he comes in. Maybe even play against Spurs with 3 centre halves, gives Flano more cover, if they did that i'd drop Adam because he's the least mobile and your gonna need your 3 centre mids to be getting across to help both full backs. Dont think that will happen but food for thought. But if Coates makes an error, he wont be the first or last defender to make one, just like Flanno. I'll tell you Coates wont be happy sitting on the bench for too long while were giving teams a goal a game. Think he'd be perfect to deal with Adebayor's size and strength and Defoe's pace. Jonson6

Leave India man Even rain gods are not happy.
On coates I actually see him getting a game in cups first.
Against spurs we must in my opinion play 4-4-2 and we need Kelly back as Bale will go after our right back and Kelly for me is super defender.
Also for me we can kill with some speed up front so for me we should play Bellamy upfront with Suarez and stretch that spurs defense.
We must work out a way to fire our A weapon the big Andy.If he fires then anything is possible for LFC this season.
Don't loose heart Andy we all reds are with you.

@ sponsorship of Etihad Stadium from this morning :

Is the City deal not on their radar ?

Not clynical enough in frount of goal for us. Need him to take atleast 1 in 4 chances and not 1 in 10 like it has so far this season

Did you see how frustrated he was about the lack of a pass when Henderson broke and Adam did not pass to him? Give them all their due, they all wanted to score and could have....if only! I love to see that Passion...we have missed it for a while.

A lot of people on here seem genuinely worried about the Spurs game, focusing mainly on Bale and Lennon for some reason. Bale is a good player (certainly not the great player the media are trying so hard to make you believe) but he only really has 1 trick to knock it round the player and use his pace. Enrique handled Walcott perfectly the other week against Arsenal and i'm sure if Bale pops up on the right Jose will have no problem against him either. Now as for Lennon you might as well let him have the ball because he has no idea what to do with it.

As for people ripping into Carroll and Henderson can you please leave your name because if you know more about football than Kenny Dalglish then surely you will have a job as a manager in no time. If however you just want a bit of a moan at players try and dial it down a little.

always a red

I am not a fan of Carroll and always leave my name. I don't no more than Daglish but if you have watched football for any number of years, you will no that not every signing works out. I didn't think Konchesky would be a good signing at all, but don't claim to know more about football than Hodgson. Every one makes mistakes and people will always have differing opinions.

Ash

Ive got a feeling Bale will be starting on the left due to our 2 main right backs being injured. Even though i think Flanagan is going to be a very good player at the moment i think he may struggle against Bale. If he plays Skrtel there of Coates at CB and move Carra to right back they will have to stay close to him and not give him any space cos neither of them have the pace

Fair play to you Ash you have an opinion and have thought about what your saying, its the keyboard warriors typing before they think that gets annoying.
People having different opinions is what makes this site so good, even fans from other teams coming on i think is a good thing. Some of the best banter is arguing with a United fan, lets face it if come match day everyone supported the same team it would get boring.

always a red

Bale is unplayerble when on form. Lighning fast, can cross, shoot, skins rightbacks for fun. Spurs have had a bad start due to modric unsettling things. They will push us all the way for 4th spot. Them and the gunners will and either one is capable of pipin us to it. We are miles away from Man u and man city. We are better than last season but lack a goal machine. Suares aint gonna get 20 plus goals is he.

To all defending carra, its hard to criticize any liverpool player when you support liverpool...But,look over his career,Theres been very high points, but if you take a closer look, theres been some terrible points,And i'll say it again,Its only because he's a LIVERPOOL lad,the rest of the team are s**t scared of him,his play these days is weak....finished atleast 2 seasons ago....

Sad to say that the warrior is fighting a loosing battle and he will end up costing more points than he gains us. I hope that we go in for Gary Cahill in Jan as a replacement and allow Skrtel to ruskies for a decent price. That would allow enough space and quality in deph with experience, nobywant Carra to stop playing - its just time he did.

Suffolk'n Red

Whether he is still good enough is 1 debate. I personally think his contribution to leading the back line means he is especially while Gerrard is out however, accept that he is certainly in the twighlight of his career.

However to make idiotic comments like he was finished to years ago is nothing short of Stupid!! Agger was injured most of last Season so you think we should of played Skrtle and The Greek at centre back week in week out? Aguero will cost City far more than the £220k a week mate. That is just his basic salary. What Aguero is on was posted on the United site a few weeks back, I will look for it for you.

Sydney!

Kun three times the player and definitely worth the extra as kun, Suarez and Gerrard would win us the league.

Basic Salary : 284,000 euros per Week
- Image Rights : 2.1 M euro / year
- Champions League Bonus : 1M euros
- Champions League Trophy : 560,000 euros
- Match Points Bonus : 4300 euro per points ( or if you prefer per draw )
- Match Appearance : 3000 euro per appearance ( 4500 for Champs. League )
- Goals : 650 euros per goals

Guys this is Sergio Aguero's package that many teams could not give him this just shows how greedy he is

PRR8 {Ed007's Note - WOW!!}

'PRR8'

Thanks for that mate, I couldn't find it in the archives. Roll on FFP rulings eh.

Sydney!

Does anyone think the FFP ruling will genuinely make any difference? Clubs like Man C and Chelsea have so much money will they just find other ways round it? Look at the sponsorship of the 'Etihad' stadium as an example.
I truly hope it does work because as things stand we don't stand a chance of competing against the type of transfer fees and wages these clubs are willing to offer. Is it any wonder that players heads are being turned when they are linked to these clubs?
Hopefully after PRR8's post people on here will now stop saying we should have signed bl**dy Aguero!
I also believe that Gerrard has a clause in his contract saying that he must have parity with the top earner at the club so you would need to multiply this number by a factor of 2.

JRG {Ed002's Note - You need to understand how the rules work and the capping of sponsorship such as you mention.}

Aside from the fact Agero's contract and fee would of cost us 3x what we paid for Carroll you also have to consider the wider implications. Current players would want parity and all new signings would to.

I have actually read the 91 page document produced by UEFA in relation to the Fair Play Rules.

1) there are rules preventing over inflated sponsorship deals etc to destort figures however as seen with the "Etihad stadium" how Uefa will decide weather deals represent "FAIR VALUE" is yet to be seen.

2) In addition concidering over 50% of the income generated by the CL comes as a direct interest in English and Spanish Teams can you really see them upsetting sponsors by Excluding the likes of Barca, United, Liverpool, Real, Chelsea Man City if they do fail to meet the regulations? I'd be very suprised - although (contradicting myself completly i know) I think these rules were put in place to stop CITY and CHELSEA alone however as they seem to disregard the rules it will be interesting to see if UEFA stick to there guns.

Esp now similar Teams have Popped up in Russia (Several), France (PSG) and Spain (Malaga).

Huyton Red - keep it real Eds!

You would probably have to triple Aguero's wage because not only would Gerrard have to be paid on par butI don't think he should be getting more than Suarez. Those people saying all we need is Aguero to win the title, are you saying we are just one signing away from being champs?

Shearer as made some comments saying that KK will get Carroll firing. I couldnt agree more KK dont buy bad players and it wont be long before he is banging them in. Also Kelly could be fit for sunday. Johnson out for a month. I have a feeling he will go with spearing adam and Lucas in midfield on sunday just a gut feeling could be wrong.

Mighty reds

I think well see Downing on 1 wing with either Bellamy or Kuyt playing on the other, Kuyt will get back every time to help the full backs cope with Bale or Bellamy cos of his pace. Hes the only player that would come close to chasing Bale down

650 Euros to score, not much of an incentive that? What's Torres on to score?

No one knows what torres is on to score this season. Not even him.

Due to his high scoring ratio per game, if torres scores he has the chance to sit at Bruce Forsythes' generation game conveyor belt and pick out his favourite item to take home. What a brucey bonus!

My son has a 'Go as your Sports Hero' day at school today (he is in kindergarten). I couldn't have been prouder when he went off to school in his full LFC Stevie G kit

As we live in Newcastle in Ayustralia, most of his mates won't even know who Stevie is, but my boy will soon instill some LFC culture in to their impressionable brains.

We are a culture heavily based on Rugby League, which sickens me to the core, but I am raising three young football and LFC fans, and as soon as they're all old enough, we're coming to Anfield (hopefully).

Sorry to bore you guys, I am just so proud!

Nothing boring about your post mate glad your bringing your kids up the right way keep up the good work and you should be proud

Well said mate, try to get the kids into any good youth football team over there , you never know he could play at anfield one day, all the best.......lfc

Nice one LIVERPRES, one of them could be the next Craig Johnston.

I'm in Adelaide and can totally sympathise with you mate. My son has been following LFC since he was indoctrinated by me at age 5. There seems to be an equal number of LFC and Chelsea supporters at his school, a few Barcelona, but noone interested in Manchester teams.
I get up at least once a week at 2am to watch the reds at a late night bar and got to meet Robbie Fowler last year. Between you, me, and the other LFC ex-pats and aussies we'll spread the good word of Dalglish down under!

cozinoz

My boy came home announcing that he was going to support MU like the rest of his class. I said that was fine but that I would never take him to OT and that he would have to find somewhere else to live- I know he was only 5 and you could say that was harsh at the time but some of life's most important lessons need to be learned early. When the second son got to the same stage, and came home with the same proclamation, the elder boy passed on the lesson- so proud!

You can 'bore' me with posts like that any time, mate! Keith

To fellow aussies, Earlier this year I got dragged to watch essendon and collingwood at the g (ANZAC day) - to those who don't know there are 80000 - 90000 fans.

Anyway as a neutral to these two teams, I wanted to feel involved and whilst both sets of the supporters were cheering etc I began to yell out " DALGLISH!!! " - LFC has a special effect on those all over the world. We are the biggest club in the world!

Love it! I was in the supermarket with my boy (who is 4) the other day and we walked past the area where they sell posters and at the front they had a big LFC badge and my son asked if he could have one for his bedroom!
As Ozone said maybe your boy could be the next Johnston - rather than Kewell ; )

Hey there I'm young teen from toowoomba. (Australia) Spreading the word of dalglishs successfulreign with my lfc mates throughout school and those pesky Manc a holes. We even have one evertonian in our school and I've been giving him hard time forever (apart from last years 2-0 loss to them when he was staying at my place to watch it (at about 1 in morning). Awesome to know other passionate reds from oz on here! Ynwa
Ps. Met rob fowler in north qld when on football trip. And my coachs name is rob fowler - he is born same year is him and also supports liverpool LOL
