Was just reading some of the posts about the centre backs and I don't see why we couldn't play two left footed centre halfs, nobody seems to have a problem with a team playing two right footed centre backs. However I don't expect Sakho to start on Monday, looking forward to the game and hopefully another 3 points but I predict a very nervy game however there seems to be an ability to grind out results that wasnt there before! Fancy a 2-1 win, Danny and Hendo to score!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Far too much emphasis is put on the best side of the centerback but if they are anything worth what they're valued at then it shouldn't be a problem.

I know it's completely out of order to even think about the t-word in the middle of September, much less openly discuss it, but if we win on Monday, we'll be 5 points ahead of both pre-season favourites.

I hope that acts as a carrot for the players to really go for it on Monday. Win, lose or draw, I expect our boys to come flying out of the blocks. Momentum's a big thing in football, and it's imperative that we ride our good run for as long as possible before it ends.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

FFS - not another one

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't understand why some fans need to be so harsh with replys like this. Utd, City and Chelsea all have new managers and will need till to implement there own style on there teams. Why is it unforeseeable for Liverpool to make a title push? On there day Liverpool are as good as anybody. Consistency is the problem but from what I've seen of Utd, City, Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal, they will all drop points home and away. We just need to try and not drop as many as them! Simples! Why not wait until it is unrealistic for a title push until we post sarcastic replys.

Because being 3 games into the season and talking like that is embarrassing. We've started well, ground out 3 wins, we look good BUT its only been 3 games. Why not wait until we've played a few more games before getting carried away about our chances this season. We've started brightly but I'd still take 4th spot all day long if it was offered. Title talk in all honesty completely unrealistic.

How do eds and reds just a quick 1 wats the deal with Moses do u know if the player is looking 2 make an impression here 2 get into the Chelsea squad or 2 stay at anfield? Thanks {Ed002's Note - He is on loan and will do the best he can.}

Great to see Citeh and Chelsea drop points today. The top 6 are already in these positions. Will be a long season and we cannot rely on others to do us favours. Let's play one game at a time and keep supporting our team. One thing's for sure is the bar is high.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Your last sentence is spot on. We are not going to get handed a top four spot this season so its crucial we focus on each game 100% and take advantage of rivals dropping points.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah another one of them for chelsea and it'll be
"Mourinho Out. Bring back Rafa"

Agree0 Disagree0

Still think we are a bit short in midfield. cheeky loan bid for Essien? {Ed002's Note - Liverpool are not able to take Essien on loan.}

With the defeat of Chelsea today, the match against the Swans is becoming a must win match and we will be 3 points clear at the top. Come on Reds you can do it.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree we should b going out thinking we can get 3 points every game keep are momentum and who knows where we will finish Y.N.W.A

Thank heavens the international break is over! A good start to the weekend with both City & Chelsea dropping points. Three points for the Reds on Monday would take me back to 1990

I saw the match Everton against Chelsea today and this kid Ross Barkley, what a player he is. He tore apart the Chelsea defence today. Very sad that the Liverpool scouts have not spotted this kid. For me he can be the new Gerard but playing in the wrong team.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mate he hardly tore them apart. He had a good game and skipped a few tackles but on a number of occasions he delayed passes, the biggest example was refusing to give the ball to mirallas(spelling) at 1-0 up. He has a long way to go to become the next Gerrard

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh brother. the overhypers are here again.

Agree0 Disagree0

No doubt has incredible quality and potential but the boy really needs to work on passing ability, especially timing and long balls, over the next couple of seasons to potentially become world class

Having watched the Man U, Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea game today, I can tell you that we are playing better football than all of them. I really think that if we can maintain our current form throughout the season and the key players stay fit, we can be champion.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If we maintain our current form as in winning every game? Yes, if we won the remaining 35 games I too think we would be champions

Agree0 Disagree0

If we keep up our current form, I reckon we would win the league with 114 points.

oh no we have dropped to 3rd sack the managersell the team its the owners fault. where have all the doom mongers gone the site is far better when they give the team a break roll on monday

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No they'll be back once they have ammo.

wish we was playing today lol anyway redmen i'm travelling to Liverpool all the way from devon next weekend for the southampton game and was wondering if anyone knows any cheap places to stay? cheers lads and eds YNWA

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Travelodge is a great place to stay, close to the club shop and also to the main shop street!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ahoy - try the Formula 1 on the Dock Road - they used to charge rooms by the hour (apparently)

BOILED ONIONS

Agree0 Disagree0

Try airbnb, best value option. Use that all the time {Ed001's Note - the Premier Inn is, well the same as all Premier Inns, good value, though not really all that premier! There is a new one in L1, that would put you right by the L1 store and close enough to walk the game if you chose.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed001 is that the one at Albert Dock? Just booked flights for Aston villa at home in January {Ed001's Note - not the one I was thinking of, it is right by the Tesco store in L1, brand new. In fact, when I popped up for a couple of nights to visit family in January, they were still finishing it off!}

Good man appreciate it found it there Thanks pal

Can anybody tell me how to stream the games on my phone. I always use wiziwig on my laptop with no problems and I have a very new and capable phone but for some reason it won't stream the games. Any help would be massively appreciated.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'm on adroid I use a app called sports live stream but there's a shed load of apps or go through google to find a streaming site I no nothing about I phones tho

Agree0 Disagree0

Iphones have no adobe flash, so you will struggle

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers for the replies. I'm also on android, not iphone so I downloaded that app and it worked to a certain extent watching some games yesterday but it wasn't a great stream even on wi-fi. Also downloaded a different browser which seems to work better but I guess the big test will be 2mo night when I try to watch the game on 3g at work!

Ed's, any chance we could go after Kagawa? Moyes really doesn't seem to fancy him. Would play similar role to Coutinho, but he is versatile and brings goals print threat from midfield. It's not like he's been one of United's old boys who wouldn't go to the enemy. You would hardly know he was a United player.

If his current playing time (zero) continues, I could see him moving in in January

Coop {Ed002's Note - He is out of the squad because he is sick. Liverpool has shown no interest in him.}

Since we are looking for young attacking midfielder I think we should check Izet Hajrović .He's playing for Swiss Grasshoppers, inteligent, playing, and more important scoring with both legs and can cover all midfield positions.He scored some of greatest gols for he's club and goal of WC last round.Only 22 with great potential and he's playing for Bosnian national team so FA should not be a problem (if we decide to go for him).

Cheers!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

How many players can we have on the books?

Agree0 Disagree0

Chelsea have around 75 players on their books so I reckon we could squeeze a few more in. Cavani, anyone?

Agree0 Disagree0

Who knows these days! Parma have like 200 when you factor in co-ownership agreements and all that. Yes 200.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sure Liverpool scouts know what they are doing, just saying that Hajrović "ticking all the boxes", and he is relativly unknown (read-not expensive) {Ed002's Note - There is a good chance that Hajrovic will move in January, but I am afraid it won't be to Liverpool - Genoa have been looking to the player for some time.}

anyone remember when barcelona was 7th in the leauge in transition. they were playing lovley football with ronaldihnio showing maguic they went on the following season to dominate slowly but shorley no champions leauge football but the leauge they were so hungry for success it was there to follow with world domination . anyone see any simerality with us because its identicaly the same life replays things just in diffrent times befor we started this season I already gave my view were we would finnish . champions leauge football starts next week :) watch the strides we take away from the teams who finneshed above us last season . were not the next barcelona be we are Liverpool . and it is are duty to show the country and the world how to play we lost are way but I thank brendon so much for his talent as a manager its like he was designed for are beautifull club

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We've had a decent enough start, with three wins out of three, but let's not get carried away ffs.

Let's take one game at a time and quit with these comparisons to Barcelona.

Remember, it wasn't so long ago that we were getting turned over by the likes of Oldham.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ahha, brilliant, it has just made my day, i, ll have to tell my mates down the wee club later, comparing lfc with barca, lol, priceless, this is what i'm talking about, deluded and wearing red tinted sunglasses, ah

Agree0 Disagree0

Ill accept what uv said if it dosent happen but not before I said we would win every game befor the season started I was deluded then also as of now max points and u only have to look at are games from after swans we should be comfy . so untill i'm proven wrong shhh I see what I see. I say what I see. I don't hide behind fears of saying what I belive because most don't belive it don't follow I leady buy example belife is everything

Sakho has a lot to prove before he get to be number one 3 clean sheets he is 4th in line at best

Believable0 Unbelievable0

17 Million for a 4th in line you're having a laugh.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sakho will be a starter soon. Maybe not in against Swansea, but very soon.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wow dezyboy, you're miles off

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he competes with aggar for a spot not with kolo and skrtel

Agree0 Disagree0

Daniel Agger is vice-captain, he is number one.
Kolo Toure was his first choice partner and provided two clean sheets.
Martin Skrtel was our backup option when Kolo Toure was injured.

Mamadou Sakho is our new powerhouse centre back.

He is not first choice centre back, but he can be in the very near future.
Martin Skrtel and Sebastian Coates could leave in January.
Kolo Toure is likely to leave in a season or two.
Daniel Agger is linked with Barcelona every transfer window.
Leaving Martin Kelly, Andre Wisdom Tiago Ilori, Mamadou Sakho and any other centre back we could buy in the future to fight it out.

Agree0 Disagree0

No I mean if toure and skretel keep playing well along with agger Rogers will reward them you have to earn a shirt

Hey Eds! We had an earlier interest in Atsu for playing on the left side but now we've got Moses on loan to play there. Do you think Moses would do a better job than Atsu? {Ed002's Note - Moses normally plays on the right.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Didn't moses play most games on the left at palace or wigan?

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought he played across the front line can slot in anywhere BR said

ilori looks abit. small for a CB doesn't he?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Small in what way?

He's 6'3". Taller than Carra, Hansen or Lawrenson. As a defender, I'd rather go up against 6'7" Peter Crouch than 5'10" Tim Cahill.

He's 20yrs old, he hasn't even started to fill out yet.

Give him a break.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ilori is 6'3". He looks like a very athletic defender, similar to Varane and Marquinhos.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well if we give him a break, what else are we going to clutch our pearls about? Huh?

Agree0 Disagree0

Agger. Carvalho. Koscielny. Ferdinand?

just a few in the premier league

Agree0 Disagree0

I said small, not short.

hell I wasnt even saying it like it was a bad thing jeez. did I say ilori looks abit small sack the manager sack ayre sell the club etc etc?

compared to other CB you have to admit he does look abit small physically. just my opinion. i'm not saying we should sell him, hide yo wife hide yo kids

Agree0 Disagree0

In fairness Kaizer has a point in that he is tall but lightly built. But as he's only 20 he should fill out. He does have one thing going for him however that few centre halves do: he is by all accounts exceptionally quick. It's been a long time I think since we have had that at the back.

Believable0 Unbelievable0
