I would really like to see R. Sterling have another strong performance this season! Something like the game against Manchester City at Anfield 2012.

Hope these rumours about us being after Ben arfa, have no truth in them. granted he's a very talented player, but is very injury prone. we need to hit the ground running next season, this guy will spend more time on the treatment table than on the pitch.

Wasn't Agger incredibly injury prone until recently? I might be being naive here but surely a solid medical team could have a huge effect in helping players? I might be wrong but I think the head of the medical team got moved on around the same time as Comolli et al, so wasn't there a big change in the way the medical team operated after that? My only point being, if we were to purchase a very talented, injury prone player, then maybe Agger is an example of how things can be done to alleviate the injuries.

He is ridiculously good but it's such a shame he's so prone to injury. I think he is probably the best ball carrier in the world. Mertens would be a good buy.

In addition, the guy has an attitude and a half, dare I say it he is a ticking time bomb. We missed the opportunity to snare him for £7 million odd which was a great piece of business from Newcastle - I hope that ship has sailed and we look at Honda, Affelay or Mertens

16 Mar 2013 00:34:14
If Ben Arfa signed, he, Coutino, Suarez and Sturridge would be an absolutely devastating attacking unit.
With Gerrard pulling the strings behind we'd rip teams to pieces.
Pace, Power, guile and trickery of the highest order. Tell you what throw in Honda and a couple of defensive players, top four is defo on the cards.

eds or any-one that can answer
I was told that worthington (the new, york city fc manager) is related to brendan rodgers and that some youngsters could be going there on loan at some point? as its were I live and my local team i'd like to know if there is any truth in this or if its just total guff?
cheers

They're cousins and the fact that he sent Adam Morgan on loan to League 2 Rotheram suggests he shouldn't have an issue sending a player to Bootham Crescent. My local club is Barnet and we are in the battle to avoid relegation with yourselves hope they both stay up!

this is my opinion about connor cody to me has not progressed, even thou I want the kid to make it I can not see him as a epl midfielder, maybe he can do a carra and move to center back as he has the physical attributes but lack of genuine pace and a killer pass as a midfielder I can not see it, hope he proves me wrong thou.

I think the problem is that he has peaked at the stage he is - he either needs to go on loan or be tried in the first team a few times because he has nothing left to learn in the reserves, he now needs to develop his game reading on a higher stage

I agree, he is a good talent but he can't progress much more in the reserves, same with the likes of suso and sterling and co. Theses players who are at the boarder line (just about that they have their time to try break in to the 1st team) could help themselves progress and get some real first team experience on a loan to another PL team or a good championship team. I can see our reserves team come leaps and bounds next year.

FowlerGod.

Got likened to Steven Gerrard few years ago. Sadly he is nowhere neer the level Stevie was at his age

Hi ed's will Michael ngoo feature in the managers plans next season. very good young player in my opinion, definitely offers us a different option up front. {Ed001's Note - he has the rest of the season to earn a place in the manager's plans, but it seems unlikely.}

It'll be a shame if he doesnt, he looks very impressive offering something we don't have otherwise

He's a poor man's Emile Heskey - lacks the quality to succeed at Liverpool, could perhaps do a job in The Championship.

People have been writing off ngoo for three years now but he keeps proving himself.

Big game for us tomorrow, well all games are big for us from now until the end of the season. I have of course, even when playing terrible been excited to watch are games because I just love the club. But I truly love watching us play of late, some great football and getting the goals it deserves. Love the january signings and deeply believe in Rodgers being the right man to bring us forward. The team is lucking much stronger than the one he inherited.

Interested to find out (realistically) who would you like us to sign in the summer? and is this Player from malaga any good?

Cheers

Danny

Very hard to quantify if the team is stronger than last year but it is certainly younger and has a huge amount of potential to fulfil

Ahoy - it would appear that the signingsof the season has been Dr Steve Peters.

Appointed in October, unveiled in November - and I believe part of his task was to focus on 3 players specifically.

Gerrard, Henderson & Reina, one suffering from the weight of expectation, one a complete loss of confidence and one a total loss of form.

Results look good for all three over the past couple of months and the Spurs game showed the new mental toughness we need.

Hooooorrrrrrraaaaaaaaaay for Dr Steve.

I would hope that he has a more general remit that covers our overall inability to deal with the weight of expectation

Ahoy - You are correct - I was fortunate to see him present 3 weeks ago to my current employers a very large blue bank that has an emblem similar to one of the Nazi party icons (the irony is not lost on me) who also sponsor a certain football competition - it is neither Rumbelows nor Johnstone Paints if you need a clue.

He is fascinating and has a very broad remit at Anfield regarding perception, ability and individual personalities - he also focussed on not letting history influence the future.

Colleagues left talking about how it would influence them at work - I left thinking he could turn us around and wishing he would spend more time at Melwood!

If we are only now using these methods it shows how far we had slipped and also that BR is progressive.

However we are still looking at the French lad who plays in sandals - Felippe Felop.

A Top striker, Hard box to box vocal Midfielder, And hard uncompromising Centre half, Who scores a few in summer would be I. m. o the priority. The latter two would help us earn the right to play in tight feisty games. Those types of leaders would complement our ball playing skilful players. Being greedy another left back and Quality right winger added would see us right 'up there' again I. m. o

I would like him to score year round, not just the summer. Lol

I would love to see Suarez pick up the PFA Player of the Year award. I think he has been by far the best player in the league this season. But he won't get it. Why? Because he is hated by most of the Premier League.

1. Suarez is the league's top scorer playing for a team who lie 6th in the league. That alone should make him a contender.
2. His all round play and work rate is phenomenal. Not only does he contribute with goals, he works for the team and wears his heart on his sleeve.
3. He has been on form all season. RVP's goals have dried up lately and his overall contribution isn't as good as the start of the season. Bale has only really played well since New Years, and couldn't really get going at the beginning of the season.

Now don't get me wrong, RVP has basically won the league for United, and Bale has fired Spurs into the top 4. But it is called player of the YEAR. From this it is evident that Suarez has been the best and most consistent performer of the 3 and deserves it.
However he won't win it. Simply because of his image he has attained. Suarez is seen as a diving, cheating, aggressive character whereas Bale (even though he dives) and RVP (elbowing Cabaye), are seen as brilliant players with a brilliant attitude.

Either way, Suarez is strangely the best player this season but won't win the Player of the Year award. He deserves it but nobody will vote for him! Stevie hit the nail on the head when he said he will be the best player ever not to win an award. I hope he does it but it I'm sure wouldn't bother him in the slightest if he didn't.
Sorry for the long post Ed's but just had to get it off my chest!
Cheers lads,
LS7.

Couldn't agree more. Even if he doesn't win, it deep down we know he is the best in the league and we are just lucky to have him in are team! hopefully it stays that way for a long time because he is an incredible player. And other teams may not like his attitude but his application to this club is first class. And that I admire him for.

Danny

15 Mar 2013 20:24:23
i agree luis deserves it but won't get it however
he WILL get the golden boot award and that alone says alot

I don't want him to win it - I think the guy is fueled and fired by the ridiculous and unfair criticism. Not that he doesn't play great without it, but the more crap he gets from the league the better he'll get

Someone said recently that the voting is already done too. If Luis finishes strong and issue free I think that even the most blinkered fan will know who deserved the award. Always remember, Luis Saurez we know what are, and that is a gem of a player.

Unfortunately, it will be Gareth Bale. Either because the Luis is unpopular with his fellow professionals, or because the vote will be based on Gareth's sheer determination and grit to recover and play on with a fractured eyelash game after game. I've seen him rolling in agony on the floor with his career in jeopardy. and somehow push through the pain barrier to take the resulting free kick. Heroic.

Cozinoz, don't forget Bale had a life threatening hangnail not long ago ;)

Hey ed01, with Chelski and Spurs having very tough runs before the end of the season, do you see one of the two clubs imploding?
I found this very nice table detailing what the chances are for top 4 depending on the points we manage to accumulate - basically, we need 22-23 in the remaining fixtures to have above 50% chance, and at least 20 p. to have at least a theoretical chance. Personally, I see us netting 21 p. before the end of the season, though it's a tad optimistic. WOn't be enough, but I hope the lads manage to make a good run, that would keep the outside chance as long as possible - it's a great entertainment watching the team this season!

Drigan {Ed002's Note - Quite frankly your view would be as good as mine on the matter.}

I would just accept we are not getting top 4 this year and you won't be disappointed. But you may end up jumping for joy if we pull it off.
I think to even still be in contention, even just that small chance after the first half of the season is pretty good going.
Our form recently is deep top 4 territory. If the team improve with a signing or 2 in the summer of real quality we could well be leading the pack at times next year. I don't think we will be title contenders, no where near that yet. But top 4? Yeah as long as we keep Suarez and I think we will.

MIKEY

Realistically I'm with MIKEY, well put mate.
Although I still can't help dreaming of Gerrard lifting the Premier Title before he retires.

Les not get carried away. Just win tommorrow and keep going.

Why realistically? consider the amount of money spent and players brought in over the last 2 years, then look at arsenal and spurs who are sitting above lfc. one team has a 0. 00 net spend on transfers and is having their worst season in 17yrs the other team are a one trick pony with average players. its a poor indictment of Liverpool football club don't you think?

Andy Carroll will surprise the hell out of everyone next year he will play at centre back along with Agger Skertl. I always thought he was out of position but seeing him defend corners he is outstanding and Rogers knows this and will do this next season.
YNWA

15 Mar 2013 14:42:39
good idea because his pace and passing ability is perfect for a modern day defender

Erm, no.
the player himself will know his value as a striker will still be significantly higher than a defender. Even if he ends up being sold as a striker he'll still command a higher fee than a defender.

This kind of thing is what agents will be screaming in their ears not to do. so I think that Stewart Downing's agent must've been on his hols when his client started getting played at left back!

misterdrumz.

Can't wait, you should have left your name? So you can be congratulated on your excellent foresight next season;0)

Torres wasn't bad a defending corners. So if we could get him back for about 15mill we would be able to swap agger for Sanchez and play him as a holding midfielder. With carra as manager think of the goals we will score.

Dont forget about those flying pigs!

Could be a good option if we can't get him off the books. like paul warhurst use to do at sheffield wednesday ST and CB GOOD SHOU never happen though

15 Mar 2013 13:41:33
Our current midfield options include:

Gerrard, Lucas, Allen, Henderson, Shelvey, Suso, Coutinho, and to some extent Suarez (as he drops into the role behind the striker when Sturridge plays).
Adding to this we have Coady, Texiera and Adorjan knocking on the door, with players like Lussey, Nacho, Rossiter and Roddan not far off the pace either.

Spearing will return to Liverpool in the summer as well!

Thats 11 players vying for 3 positions, with 4 accademy prospects on the brink of breaking into the first team squad, and another returning from a largely successful loan.

Yet we are linked with Iturra? I'm not disagreeing, we need a Lucas back up option.

My question is to the Eds and other fans, who will bit the bullet to make way for any new midfielders?

I personally don't see Roddan, Adorjan or Spearing as options and believe they will either stick to the reserves or be sold.

Coady and Shelvey are at an age where first team football is paramount, and neither have done enough to break into the match day squad regularly despite opportunities this year. Loan deals should be considered.

Lussey, Nacho and Rossiter will remain in the accademy for at least 1 more year (possibly 3 in Rossiters case) before their futures are even considered.

Thats 8 of the 16 narrowed down. Leaving Gerrard, Allen, Lucas, Henderson, Suso, Texeira, Coutinho and then Suarez to some extent. It is worth noting that 4 of these 8 are just as likely to be considered for roles in the front 3. So Gerrard, Allen, Lucas and Henderson probably do need one more player to back them up. The jury is out on Henderson and Allen. Next year should be their break out years. 23/24 years old, coming into the prime years of their career. Gerrard at 24 was the best player in England, and arguably the world (Note 'arguably').
So they should be back up to Gerrard in the deep lying playmaker role. Lucas definitely needs a backup option though, and Iturra would be an option. Strootman and Lars Bender would be my preferences, but there's no interest there so that's that dead in the water!

YNWA! (Adam)

Agree on Gerrard, Allen, Lucas, Henderson, Suso, Texeira and Coutinho with Lars Bender
added, would be excellent going forward as Brendan would say and give us all the necessary cover and options.
Unfortunately for the players concerned, I think your probably right in thinking all other players including Shelvey will probably find it really difficult to break into that little midfield squad above and probably need to be moved on.

If Gerrard and LFC are interested in prolonging his career as much as possible (as I think they should be) he has to be played less and less as the next 2-3 years come along. For me the ideal candidate to play his role when he's not playing, is Henderson. None of the transfer candidates we have been associated with (through rumours) have the range of play Gerrard has. Henderson could potentially be coached into it. A midfielder sitting just along side Lucas or slightly ahead, spraying short or long passes upfield, while being able to rush back and help in defense, (which is what Gerrard has been doing all season long). I think Allen was bought for this role, but it hasn't always worked out for him or the team.

Add good a character Spearing seems to be I've no doubt that he'll be gone permanently once his loan With Bolton is over.
No offense to the lad but even if there guy's loan spell is a huge success his future lies elsewhere.
He simply good enough for is even as a backup/squad member. We need real competion in the defensive midfield position, he is not what's required by us by a long shot.
It ain't rocket science but I'd say a new signing will be sought to try and give Lucas a run for his money.
As for Suarez, re of positons he clevery drifts into to find space and hunger to receive the ball, I don't think their'll any notion of the manager classin at any time a midfielder attacking or otherwise.
I'm over the moon Gerrard has stuck two fingers up to the naysayers bigtime.
Like any player he suffred from a slight dip form at the start of the season while he adjusted to a new style of play, and where exactly he was going to fit in get the best out of him and the team. While the tinkering and adjusting went on Stevie wasn't his brilliant best, because of his age people were quick to right him off, shame on them is all I can say. Yous all know who you are. Gerrard is irreplaceable, is stop trying to find it to those of you who've been looking.
When the day does come, we'll just after cope best we can, but to find a replacement is just not going to happen. He's a once in a lifetime player, so it's very unfair to compare young or new players to the great man because inevitably their not going to liveup to the hype. Until that day comes I'm going to enjoy watching him dictate the matches as he has been doing.
You know the saying 'You don't know what you've got till its gone' well belive me when the day comes and were without him permanently, it'll be a real shock to people's system. One I, and I'm not alone in really not looking forward that time.

Sorry to keep on at this, Allen is just not good enough for LFC. He is busy at best. He does not win enough tackles and passing is very poor. We are best off cashing in on him and Borini and adding more quality to the first team.
My feeling is that we still need a top quality player sitting in front of the back four pulling the strings. Lucas should be freed to win more of the ball higher up the pitch and break down play (like Masch used to)
Obviously Alonso fits the role best, but I agree with the Eds that we should be looking for the next Alonso. We have plenty of young players that can play in the advanced midfield role (Suso, Coutinho)
G

Pirlo is what about 36 or something? Does anyone know how many game he has played for juv this year I would say prob a lot.

Maldini played LB till he was like 39, as far as I'm aware he was playing very regular as well with CL mid week on top of that.

So IMO down to 2 things commitment on the players side and A lot of luck to avoid any major injurys. SG IMO has the first one.

15 Mar 2013 16:34:33
Thought I was logged in so I didn't leave my name on the long post above G's.
Hope it shows up on this one.

15 Mar 2013 18:08:38
Kumber mate your comparing italian league which is very slow and lightweight compare to epl which is fast and very, very phisical. At the sametime we need players who are fast and workhorse, when we don't have ball we need players to close down opposition very fast to get the ball back, gerrard is a legend and one of the best player of my era, has carried Liverpool on his shoulder for 8-10 years but every player time comes in 2 years Gerrard will find very difficult to play 90 minutes and maybe retire like carragher because gerrard won't accept sitting on bench same like carragher, just look for some interviews and you will find Gerrard saying he will rather retire then sit on bench!

15 Mar 2013 20:41:59
im a strong believer in the fact stevie g can play any were. yes we all know his best position but I think he can continue for a while yet and maybe the future is for him to become an alonso (fairly deep, precise passing) type player. instead of his normal battling everywere style?
thoughts. ,.

Holders: Lucas (New signing - Iturra?)
Controller: Gerrard, Allen
Attacking midfielder: (New signing), Henderson, Coutinho (for now left-side attacker though)

Suso needs loaning so he's ready in 2 years
Shelvey a squad player or sold
Spearing not good enough and sold

Others are kids and nowhere near ready

Suarez is a striker

15 Mar 2013 13:22:06
I have been satisfied with the attacking improvements we have made in January, and feel we will improve our squads central defensive areas in the summer. Lucas needs covering, but I would love to see Wisdom given a go in there, I remember him playing there a few times at youth level. I believe he could excel in front of the back 4. Strong, Quick, Defensive awareness, good passer. I do believe we need a big unit in the middle of yhe park especially against the ale house teams. It. s just an opinion.

15 Mar 2013 17:44:14
I don't understand where people continually fantasise about changing a players position.
Wisdom is a good player with huge potential to become a very very good player but as a defender.
As we've seen from some of his forrays forward that his final ball let's him down a long with a couple more technical things that will improve with age and experience.
A midfielder nada, top ones are usually born and not made. I suppose Lucas switched from an attacking player to one more defensive in style, imo it was just a of getting his hands dirty and he was more then willing because technically he had most of the attributes required. Lacks bit of pace but more then makes up with it with reading of the game.
As for Wisdom I'd say is still trying to master the art of defending, I'm positive he will and will become a top and crucial member of the back four.
The lad been captain of teams he's played in and by all accounts an good talker and leader, just what were short of Once Carra hangs up his boots so I reckon he'll massive part of the back four for years to come.
JohnBoy

It's all about opinions, I have seen Wisdom play for the reserves in the holding role and has done well there. I think playing the high line that Liverpool will adapt, Wisdom would be ideal to play the holding role against the physical sides. I feel the holding midfielder should be able to play in all the positions at the back. Mascherano Martinez, Busquets, De rossi, even Carrick have comfortably played centre back. David Luis started his career as a DM. And rafa has been playing him there of late and he actually looks good. I think Wisdom could becoma a top player in a number of positions.

16 Mar 2013 01:03:26
Every play you've mentioned bar Wisdom all have one thing in common which is their all central midfielders rather then centre backs which is a far easier transition then the other way round which is what you're asking Wisdom to do. You've got be able to see a pass, have a bit of vision.
Joe Allen fo let's be honest is a lot better technically then Wisdom and he struggles to pass it forward when he's asked to play that position, imagine how much Wisdom would slow us down and get caught in possession.
Na not for me, he's still far from finished article as a defender, both centrally at full back where I've noticed he's played left back recently for the under 21's which can only be a good thing for his development.
Look at Connor Coady he's going backwards both positional and I'm dad to day it as a player, well the lads stagnated anyroad and not being nasty, he's just not developed as a central midfielder.
Why do you think they're having this experiment for Coady playing him as a central defender, because they know hd'd be way out of his depth as a Liverpool central midfieler.
never know he might excel their. He's upped his odds by switching because it's an easier position to play.
Like I said leave Wisdom be is my opinion.
JohnBoy

16 Mar 2013 01:28:44
Before you say Luiz out six ain't bad.
for all to see he's a we bit comfier in possession then Wisdom but I'm not convinced his long term future lies in midfield.
Rather then the odd game playing their, let him do it for a season or even half on a regular basis playing well week in week out before I'd be willing to say he's top echelon in that position or even close to it.

If we have an interest in Selcuk Inan, and Galatasaray have identified Alonso as his potential replacement - why don't we just get Alonso? {Ed002's Note - That is not how it works.}

15 Mar 2013 12:00:21
Hi Eds, was wondering with links to De Vrij and Martins Indi recently as well as Rodgers going out to watch a game recently if you could give any information of their styles of play and who you would compare them to etc as I and I'm sure many others haven't seen much of the Dutch League {Ed002's Note - I am really not the one to be rating players nor discussing their style of play. I would not concern yourself about Indi, but others no doubt will have a view about De Vrij.}

Cheers for the response hopefully if either are signed they will end up like our last CB to come from the Dutch league

A topic where all opinions are welcome
I wonder why footballers, real footballers go to man city in that of Scott sinclair and rodwell. Both young good players with potential that is wasted. Rodwells injurys are stopping him from reaching his potential and City as we know aren't a club to be patient. They will IMO replace him in the summer with another midfielder and he will fall down the pecking order again. And for sinclair, he was really developing at swansea and yet he's not getting a look in and will probably be solr in the summer and have to kick start his career. If there decision was based on money, was it worth it?

15 Mar 2013 12:12:45
good post.

I agree. How many times do you hear a player say "I just want to play not sit on the bench". when the opportunity to move to another club comes the move falls through because they can't afford his wages. If he REALY wanted to play he would take a wage cut. Wouldn't he?

Its the agents who sell the idea to the player in order to earn their commision.

No doubt Sinclair in particular will be regretting his move on a professional level. His chances of getting International reckognition are all but gone.

Thats Mancini's fault for wasting the Sheiks money (yet again) and wasting his and Sinclairs time. If I was a owner, i'd be asking serious questions about the manager, you at least want to see some kind of return on £6 million smackeroonies!?

But saying that, I thought Victor Moses was going to be another Sinclair, but this season Chelsea have used him (all be it sparingly) and he has proved to be quite a usefull aquisition to the squad scoring some imprtant goals and producing some decent performances.

Apples '96'

It's one of those inevitable things really- you want to have the best quality substitutes in your squad.

So the bigger your club and your budget, the more likely you are to have top quality players sitting idle on the bench.

In our case the bench players are mostly youngsters like Raheem and Suso, but often they are older, more experienced players.

I always felt it was a waste of Adam Johnston's career going to City- I feel that fans around the country have a right to see British players showing their talents week in and week out, rather than just warming the bench.

Big clubs will always be a bit of a graveyard for promising and top quality players who are not quite good enough to force their way into the starting eleven.
Its always a balancing act for clubs- do you loan very good young players out, or keep them available in case of injury?
Personally I think Raheem would be better going on loan for most of next season to keep him developing, but it looks like he'll spend most of the season sat on the bench, because you can't see him getting past any of the current forwards, and we're already looking for a good quality winger.

Footballers are a confident dare I say arrogant bunch and in an awful lot of cases they move to a big club because they believe they will be first choice and want to win things. In reality they were never good enough, so spend a lot of time on the bench with only their huge salaries and barely merited silverwear to keep them happy.

Great post. It's all about the cash sadly. That and the modern day phenomenon about wanting instant success, rather than building something.
That's why you'll never see a Notts Forest or Derby County (under Clough) as players will not stay at these sort of teams
G

Every one is driven by money, if the firm across the road offered you double your wage to work for them and the Manager of the firm decided to give you days off, if your not upto his standards. You wouldn't go back to your old job would you. You would try your best to do the job and take the extra salary.

Quite simple mate.

Money.

A few players join signing their first real big contract. Rodwell for example.
They are hardly short of money but that contract is offered and it's sometimes several times what they are on. Or 2 or 3 times more than a sensible club would offer them if they moved elsewhere.
It's a bit of a gamble in that they will find it that much harder to break into the team but footballers have massive egos and believe they will make it.
After all if man city (the champions) are willing to pay me all this money they must believe in me. Right?
But they also know that of they don't make it then they have still earned in just 2 or 3 years what they would earn in 10 years at a club they would be guaranteed to play week in week out.

We need a wage cap really.

Just watched Coutinho in the keepy uppy challenge.
Proper Brazillian skills with a tennis ball, as expected:-)

Yeah, not a bad effort was it Kid. I was pleasantly suprised to see Henderson topping the charts!

Apples '96'

15 Mar 2013 12:25:05
His 63 was impressive, but Hendersons 77 is sensational. The reason being, Coutinho was all over the place using one foot, although he still maintained a level of control. Henderson was left foot right foot, whilst barely moving out of a 1 metre radius, and never looking like he was struggling.

Henderson has the touch of a spaniard, the work rate of a wild Kuyt and the steel of a true Englishman. I jusy hope he develops the tactical side of his game, and we will have some player!

YNWA! (Adam)

63 on one foot pretty good.

FowlerGod. {Ed002's Note - Toes?}

I remember watching Hendo getting 148 of them in an England camp. He has also won numerous skill challenges which you can witness on youtube.

Adam its keepy uppy spearing has more than duarez means nothing, zilch, nada

Adam, I couldn't agree more mate!

Apples '96'

Agree on Henderson, Adam; he's definitely got great ability which he's gradually starting to express on the pitch.
I just love it that we have Brazillians in our team.
I remember the fabulous side of 1970.
You couldn't have envisaged all these years later, Brazillian players gracing the Liverpool side or should we say South American not forgetting Suarez.

How you go from one of the greatest teams of any era via Jordan Henderson is a mystery to me?

To close the arguement on xavi and iniesta so we can sll move on.
I was discussing the great young suso then compared him to what I believe be as good as them as I can't rate him highly enough watching him as a 14 year old at cadiz.
Xavi is a passing midfielder that dictates tempo whilst iniesta is in simple terms a wizard' aimed at some, dribbling as stated again is the ability to run with the ball whilst being in control whilst running past opponents. Simply, how many times do these players go past players from their own backline and CM whilst being in complete control of the ball? That is dribbling' and I am now closing the subject. Edd, much appreciation as always for allowing my posts'

Did you live in Spain Big Al? I'm wondering how you got the opportunity to watch Suso play for Cadiz academy?

I'm back in Spain a fair bit, so if you can let me know I'd appreciate it!

Cheers.

Cadiz fc were promted to the first division in 2004 for the first time in years and they were touted all across europe for blooding really young players because they were good enough at such a. young age thus I watched a lot of their games back then but now as I explained to another lad is that they are beck in segunda B which is like the second division now which makes it really diffto watch stream their games here unless you were to watch their matches live over in spain. Pablo hernandez ane flores both of swansea now both played for fadiz arounf 5-6 years go and hernandez looked like he would turn into a sensational player. They still blood excellent young players with an extremely low budget

You just agreed with the very thing you were arguing against last night, I said xavi won't take the ball past 3 or 4 players he is a passing midfielder you disagreed, now you are saying the very same thing!

Read the posts, I have never disagreed xavi was not a passing midfielder, its going round in circles, move on mate in the politist way I can put it. Edds been taking abuse all morning and no one wants it

Big Al,

Perhaps my question wasn't clear. I understand how you managed to watch the Cadiz first team play a few years ago before they got relegated (which at the time included Chico and Hernandez), but I'm curious as to how you managed to watch Suso play as he never made any first team appearances and only played for their academy as far as I'm aware?

Just had a look at the last 8 teams left in the Europa League, its a pity we aren't still in it. Would of loved to getting Chelsea for another memorable night in Europe :)

Eds have we any pre season tours lined up for Asia/USA? {Ed002's Note - There are games to be played in the Far East and Australia.}

Epic games v Chelsea under the floodlights. I hate Chelsea but also thank God for Chelsea when I'm alone in a darkened room.
If it wasn't for Chelsea? How many Premier League Titles would Utd have won? It doesn't bear thinking about.

If we beat Southampton at home tomorrow that's 4 wins in a row in the league. This would be the most since Kenny's return in Jan-Feb 2011. If we then beat Aston Villa in the following fixture that's 5 in a row, which equals our best run since the 2009 Rafa's best team era.
If we then beat West Ham at home for 6 in a row, that would be our best since 05/06 season, where we won 9 games and 10 games in a row separately. Then we've got Reading, 7 in a row? We never even managed 3 in a row last year.
Then we face Chelsea at home, which as well for the Rafa factor, will be the biggest game of our season. A result from that game, Chelsea will slide, and with other teams fixture-piling from the Europa, 4th will be ON. RC

There's an awful lot of 'ifs' in there mate.

We play Southampton away tomorrow!

IF you win all 38 games next season I predict you wil definitely win the league. Same applies for the cups!

Well RC, don't get too lonely at Anfield tomorrow-think you will find your mates and the team are at St. Marys to play Saints!
Why do "persons" have to post stuff that shows their lack of even basic knowledge in the first sentence?

Edd001 fair point mate. I was just thinking at the time that any attackers sold in that being caroll aid in the funds for another attacker. Any funds freed I see will most likely sort out the defense first. Love sanchez as a player and would fit in perfectly in our system and the way we play but we can't afford everyone. Appreciation with the reply ed.
