loyalty is a great thing and we as fans need and even deserve that from well paid pros that kiss the badge week in week out .Torres was an outstanding talent that left us ,we moved on he will not be back but for a player that is being written off at this stage i can not understand because he is still class .Soccer sat on irish tv [same as match of day ]showed some of his form this year and he still has it ,do i expect him in jan no chance ,would he be a legend with even the most resentful fan if he took us top 2/3 put your house on it cause i dig up stalin if he put 15/20 in the bag for my club ,we are liverpool fc here on this sites and others .Players come and go ,never be another rush ,daglish,fowler and so many more but we here ,listen to a radio,hopin to watch tv or on line or for the few go watch live [lucky bs ]so lets trust kenny to get us there no matter who lines out because im here year in year out but since 85 when i was old enough a lot of players have come and gone ,some good some bad some fantastic but i still follow liverpool football club YNWA red2toe

how would you line up tomorrow lads?

Danny

Reina, Johnson Enrique Skrtel Agger, Henderson Adam, Maxi Bellamy Downing, Suarez.

Would like to see Andy on the hour mark.

My line-up would be this

Reina

Kelly Agger Skrtel Enrique

Johnson Hendo Adam Maxi Bellamy

Suarez

But Johnson will probably RB, with Downing out right.

Good post Danny mate, I thought we'd all forgot we've a match tomorrow. It's refreshing to read a football post, instead of reading posts about Chelsea's No.9.

Blair Mayne YNWA JFT96

Well we have a great chance to close in on the top 5. They have some difficult fixtures coming up while we have some win-able games. Good luck the reds. about time we have some. Torres is the past now and its been discussed we should all look to the future.

Danny

Would love to see Andy and Luis from the start with Bellamy and Downing. I'm sure RedTurk is on the blower to KK right now to ensure Carroll doesnt get a chance

Wud go with kelly rather than johnson. villa have some good wingers in their side, dont want johnson gettin caught out of position too many times.
Indian Buzzer

Carroll simply hasnt permormed well enough to be starting games for us.

Steve

Reina
Johnson Skrtel Agger Enrique
Maxi Hendo Adam Downing
Suarez Carroll

Chuck Norris

I'd go with
Reina
Johnson Sktel Agger Enrique
Henderson Adam Shelvey
Maxi/Bellamy
Suarez Carroll

I think if we've bothered to recall Shelvey, we might aswell give him a chance as he's done well at Blackpool

Why havent Liverpool confirmed the signing of Jordan Ibe? Do you know if it is confirmed? Thnx

I think it's just a pre-contract agreement. I think he will sign in the summer, and I'm certain both clubs will announce the deal at that time. I could be wrong though.

Thanks!

CSeiling

We don't announce youth signings publicly. All recent academy signings - Ojo, O'Hanlon, McLaughlin, Pelosi, Nacho, Villyan, etc - were all signed behind closed doors and with little to no publicity so as to keep them grounded and prevent any pressure from building up.

Is there any interest in Kevin Strootman? He looks live a very good player with lots of potential in years to come. Also i dont think we would have to break the bank to acquire him. Thanks {Ed002's Note - Kevin Strootman maybe possible for Liverpool but I would be surprised if PSV would let him go in the January window. I also doubt he would get in the Liverpool side just yet, so perhaps one for the future. I appreciate he has had a couple of good games recently.}

Ah, can we nominate a charity that will be donated a quid every time the name Torres is mentioned on this site between now and January 31st! The charity will be rich!!

Torres at 20mil would be a poor buy - would have to be nearer 10mil before the risk might possibly be worth it... we know what he can do and we know he can flippin' well sulk and not put in the effort.... I remember Carra screaming at him at the beginning of last season for not running a channel so that Carra had an option!

Oops... where do I donate my 2 quid?

We could start a charity called the
Torres fund: At this rate we'll have enough
money to buy him ourselves by January 31st.

He'd be a waste of our 320 quid mate

Well thats the money for the stadium sorted then!

How about a trophy for torres fund do you think that would put a smile on his face ?

3 points tomorrow, and we are right in the mix.

17 Dec 2011 20:32:40
Saw an article recently, that Arsenal were going to erect
3 statues outside emerates in honor out their great players
Thiery Henry, Tony Adams and another one I have to confess I
never heard of. My question is to everyone: If Liverpool
were to erect three statues to honour our great players, who
would they be? My memory of Liverpool only goes back to
the early eighties so for these reason I would say:
(1) Dalglish
(2) Rush
(3) Gerrard

Me old fella reckons there should be a statue for Billy Liddell.

My 3 statues would be

Liddell

Dalglish

Gerrard/Carragher (both kissing our 5th European Cup, in Istanbul).

Blair Mayne YNWA JFT96

Mate, you could fill the kop with statues of the great players we've had through the years. no way you could narrow it down to just three. even if it was our great managers statues, it would be more than three...:)

My 3 would be :

Gerrard
Dalglish
Paisley (not a player but deserves one for achieving so much as our manager)

Tom.

The old Bootroom Staff !
The Real KB

There's so many that I'd have to make room for ..
E Hughes
B Liddle
St John
Daglish
Souness
Hanson
Hypia
Gerrard
Rush
Reina
And outsiders would be ..
Beardsley
Fowler
Owen
Thompson

I would deffo add gold statues off..
Shankley
Paisley
Fagon ( spelling )
Daglish ( if not a player statue)
Benitez (maybe)

We could make it a walkway

I'd go for:

Dalglish

Gerrard

Liddell/Rush

maka

Shankley
Paisley
Fagen
Dalglish
Rafa

17 Dec 2011 19:58:21
Watched the Chelsea/Wigan game today. Torres not even used as a sub. I am not saying he is coming back to Liverpool, but he must be heading somewhere....

Down the drain, or Spain.

Italy. No where to go in Spain unless he goes back to A.Madrid. Doubtful though. I think he will be a great player in Italy.

Thanks, KickingBro

Might go to malaga as malaga are very rich

is anyone on here who was at the inter match back in 65? Just watched the highlights. My Dad told me we were robbed over there. But watching that game felt great. I just want to know someones thoughts on it who was there? An did you sing go back to italy with the crowd?

Spriggo

Yes I was there , and it was my very first game at anfield , my dad took me , and I was about 11/12, we were in the stands , I remember how I was stunned , a real buzz was there , you could feel it , and I was hooked , Liverpool FC came a part of me , and always will be . and yes we were robbed in Italy , and yes we all sang that song , everyone did , what a night , will never ever forget it , only the games against St Etteine and Chelsea at anfield would be so great , thats the chelsea game , with the banner , you cant buy this one Jose , and he couldnt .redforever .

17 Dec 2011 19:28:00

Is there any interest in Victor Moses from Liverpool? Seems to have improved a lot since he first came to Wigan!

17 Dec 2011 19:17:27
No torres for chelsea again hope hes enjoying himself

Says a great deal when they bring on Kalou instead of Torres at half-time when they needed a goal.

17 Dec 2011 18:28:21
Noticed the luuk de jong rumours rearing thier ugly head again,or have they never gone away.Maybe its me but from what i have seen i really cant see this guy adding much to the team.Really hope if we bring anybody in they have got more quality than this guy.Would rather stick with what we have than pay 15 million on a slow average player.Maybe someone seen more of him than me and i have got it wrong but i doubt it.

Didn't Ed001 say earlier that he was anything but slow? (de Jong, not Ed001.) {Ed002's Note - De Jong is not slow. Ed001 is a little on the slow side - having to haul that humongous ass around behind him.}

Evening Eds I realise my knowledge of de jong is not as good as yours,but find it hard to believe that this guy is quick.Seeing as this is the banter page from what Edd002 tells us about Edd001 backside maybe he could do a bit of moonlighting as the big man SC.It is that time of year and if so can i please have Erricsen from ajax thanks and merry chritmas

Luuk de Jong has certainly scored more goals and assists this season than any of our players. I think its 15 goals and 13 assists in 29 gamnes in all comps. I would think he would only be an asset to our team. Certainly more so than Carroll or anyone else at this point. I would love him at LFC

steve

17 Dec 2011 18:20:41
That's a scalping party if ever I saw one at wigan.
Why would so many of the staff need to go there
to watch how a team play in the relegation zone?
Something is a foot between CFC and LFC you can
smell it? Really Torres? Perhaps Sturridage? or
Drogba? I love good conspiracy theories! What
d'ya reckon lads?

Drogba past it, Torres a traitor and has an attitude , Sturridge great young player but Chelsea arn't going to let go.

Personally I think there just looking at wigan for after Villa but if you want a conspiracy story Lampard?? -McMenemy

Conspiracy theory 3 about fat Frank
would only make sense if conspiracy theory
4 about Gerrard being finished are true?
Since Lampard and Gerrard play so sh1t together for England, would be crazy to have them both in the same team.

I watched the match and reckon they could have been doing a lot worse than scouting Diame. He's a beast, would be a lovely little replacement for Lucas and not much dosh either

Red Ollie

Liverpool have been watching Connor Sammon and Di Santo.

17 Dec 2011 18:07:08
Kenny, comilli and clarke at the wigan vs. Chelsea game. A scout mission do you think eds? For mccarthy perhaps? Or just a tactical visit for when we play wigan? {Ed002's Note - Have you noticed who is sat on the other side of Damien Comolli?}

And the answer to that is...........(this is where you come in ed) {Ed002's Note - Frank Lampard Senior.}

Surely your not implying we're going to make a move for fat frank ed?!

Derry Dan {Ed002's Note - No. They will be there to watch Wigan who the play on Wednesday. Comolli may be keeping an eye on players but that is his job. Clarke knows Frank Snr very well and no doubt Dalglish knows him as well. The ground has lots of spare seats and folks who know each other will take the opportunity to roll one up and shoot the breeze.}

Well we can assume they're not there to scout Torres as they would only need to have turned up for the last ten minutes.

JRG

No, they are there because we have wigan coming up soon!

Roll one up and shoot the breeze... did you get that from one of your homies in California?

17 Dec 2011 18:03:05
ed: kd, dc, sc were spotted in the crowd for wigan vs chelsea do you think they are there to look at james mccarthy {Ed002's Note - Or the team they are playing against on Wednesday?}

Think they were def there to watch james mccarthy , thought his play was very neat , did his job very well , and gave nothing away , and fits the bill , I would def buy him , can see him being a big star , plus he has a big engine ,and a cool head , buy . redforever .

17 Dec 2011 17:34:33
Great site ed,was wondering who kd is scouting at the wigan/chelsea game coz he is at the dw stadium {Ed002's Note - No idea, sorry.}

They might be looking at someone but more likely it's because we play them on weds cheers pk

The whole Wigan team.

Maybe Torres!
Is his seat is facing
the Chelsea bench?

Hopefully Moses, good young player but he is prob scouting McCarthy...

Chuck {Ed002's Note - Or the team they are playing against on Wednesday.}

17 Dec 2011 17:34:01
Hey ed just heard KD was at the chelsea game today...... torress maybe? lol i joke... do you have any idea who we could be looking at
lfc all day
{Ed002's Note - No idea, sorry.}

17 Dec 2011 17:31:55
dalglish and clarke at the wigan game watching...

i wonder if they have their eyes on a certain blonde headed spaniard? ;)

I know you're just having a laugh but that would be too much for some people to take if it were really true. It's probably more to do with the fact we play Wigan on Wednesday.

If they are going to watch Torres, it certainly isn't to watch him play.....an unused substitute! Might as well play for reserve team.

17 Dec 2011 17:15:49
Would love Robbie Fowler or an ian Rush in this side

Spriggo

I don't think Robbie Fowler is up to it now ;)

17 Dec 2011 17:02:45
Just looking at the score now and have noticed jordan Rhodes scoring again, I see that it's only league 1 but at the age of 21 do you think we should get him as he's clearly shown he can score? Cheers

Do you really have that little faith in Liverpool and Kenny? Who do you think is more likely to score against e.g Villa tommorow Maxi, Bellamy, Kuyt or Jordan Rhodes?

MOTD fever

The boy has scored 20 games this season and made his international debut so it's not really MOTD fever.

Just because he's playing on league one doesn't mean he can't play in the premiership he's 21 and will get a shot with someone. He obviously knows where the net is. Something Liverpool are desperate for and won't cost anywhere near 35 million

Would rather have Rhodes than Kuyt tbh.

Chuck Norris

He is a good player. He will definitely be signed by someone in the Summer. Natural goalscorer. Too good not to be bought by someone in the Prem. I would love him. Have watched him in a lot of games and I believe he has the quality of a Premierleague striker.

Thanks, KickingBro

He wouldn't cost the Earth and could be worth a gamble but it would be a huge step up. I doubt he'd make an instant impact but just training with our players would be great for him: despite what some people think of some of our squad, it's much better than Huddersfield's.

Mr Benn

17 Dec 2011 16:58:30
I think we should sign Mario goetze and Podolski.Both are being tracked by Arsenal but i feel we can nick them because we have the upper edge against them

17 Dec 2011 16:53:26
hello eds, personally i believe that Royston Drenthe could be a good match for Suarez, he has a very powerful left foot and has amazing agility and unpredictability. If we were to play 2 strikers up front with Drenthe on the right to open up the goal on his left foot and Suarez on the left opening up his right foot. I realize that there are no rumors of Royston coming to liverpool, just wishful thinking i suppose, what are your thoughts? thanks for your time.

YNWA {Ed002's Note - The summer is a long way off and really Drenthe, who was an option in the past, would struggle to get past Enrique in the side.}

17 Dec 2011 16:42:15
Jordan Rhodes is definitely worth a gamble.

17 Dec 2011 16:23:52
Eds are we interested in mauro zarate, personally would like the player think he could do a great job for us...is he getting games at inter? {Ed002's Note - There is no interest.}

17 Dec 2011 15:49:49
Hi ed when i heard the "torres rumour" i thought: no way!
However, the more and more i read i see that it wouldn't be a bad move
3 reasons why liverpool should sign torres:
.suarez partner
.bring best out of gerrard
.allow carrol to go on loan

now im not saying torres will go to liverpool im just saying a 15-20 million pound move for a 20 something player wouldn't be the worst of moves. {Ed001's Note - Torres plays best up top on his own, that is enough reason to forget him.}

FFS!! He won't be returning to Liverpool, why can't you people understand this??

Chris in Tamworth

1) Torres didn't bring the best out of Gerrard it was the other way round. Gerrard made Torres and besides we Gerrard is injured alot these days and can't be relied on to save us

2) Sending Carroll on loan will be no good for anyone we need to look after him, mould him into and give him the confidencce he needs.

3) Forget Torres why do we need a out of form spanish player who has already stabbed us in the back once by moving to a "bigger club" -McMenemy

I think you'll find that it was Alonson that made both Gerrard and Torres look good.
Alonso controled the tempo of our play and picked out all the right balls at the right time.
He gave Gerrard the space and time to look good and the both gave Torres the chance to shine.
Neither player was the same with Alonso out of the team.

Hay Eds,

Just wondering if maybe i have picked up a little ban, none of my posts have gone through over the past few days an Ed002 loves an auld ban or two lol.. If i have made any offensive posts which i don't think i have i apologize.

Thanks guys happy christmas,
Quigz23 {Ed001's Note - I haven't seen any posts from you at all, as far as I am aware you have not been banned and none of the editors have mentioned you as banned. We usually mention to each other if a reg has received a ban. Plus this post got through ok!}

{Ed002's Note - I have not seen any posts from you either, and I have not banned you. But I will keep it in mind.}

17 Dec 2011 15:36:18
Eds, could you see kuyt, being part of a de Jong
deal this January, clearly Kuyt going to Twente?
How much is de Jong likely to cost? {Ed001's Note - I doubt Kuyt will be interested in a return to Holland yet, not while there are clubs in Italy and Spain that are keen. I fully expect him to go to Italy in January or the summer myself. De Jong is likely to cost just under 15m apparently.}

Under 15mil ! Is he going to be in the
January sales? Why don't we get in there and buy two of them!

17 Dec 2011 13:34:56
Ed001 do you personally believe Luuk de Jong will arrive in January, and what is your opinion caragher not getting back into the team do you think it's time he hung up his boots? I
Love carra but agger and skretl look great together

Square tomato {Ed001's Note - I am not sure about De Jong, it really does depend on someone else moving for him, if they do we will too. If no one else does, he will likely be a summer target. As for Carra, he still has a lot to offer as a back up, for this season at least. It will then be up to him to decide in the summer, but I do think his time as first choice is up, much as I love him as a player and a person.}

Cheers ed001 I agree about carra

17 Dec 2011 13:32:37
Would kagawa be open to a move and also would he have the same problem that Honda had a while back? Now about Vargas, what was his problem?

17 Dec 2011 13:23:05
Just a question for the Eds or anyone who has any ideas or info- what do you think Luuk de Jong would offer in the short term and longer term?

He's scored 23 in 60 appearances for Twente (according to wiki), and provided the most assists in the 2010/11 season, so he's clearly not just a poacher- he can create too, and he must have a decent final pass on him.

But I've seen comments from some posters who say they've watched several games and he looked a bit slow and even clumsy on the ball. As our most likely January target, I'm curious to know what people know about him?

Also, Suarez was an absolute goal machine in the Eredivisie, but he's currently struggling to make a respectable striker's quota of goals in the PL (for whatever reason)- maybe the defences are just quicker and better here?

{Ed001's Note - De Jong is far from slow and clumsy, he has decent pace on him, he scores goals and creates them. He has great technique, he is just an old-fashioned Liverpool type of player. Works hard, comfortable on the ball, strikes the ball cleanly and is a team player.}

Scoring goals in the EPL is much harder
task, you got to get used to no time no space. Suarez needs someone closer to him to play off.

From what i've seen, he's very good at finding space, has good technique, is good in the air, can finish with both feet, and can pick out a pass aswell. I like him, think he'd be an ideal 3rd striker.

17 dec 2011 12:36:25
just heared man utd may be given a back door entry into this years cl

Ed i hear its a long shot but true ,something to do with sweeden teams being kickout ,deadline date jan 13

That would be SWISS teams. Think FIFA need to tread carefully with all that money in Swiss bank accounts.

I'd imagine the Swiss FA will do what FIFA have asked. Blatter is Swiss, after all. {Ed001's Note - FIFA is based in Switzerland, not that I am suggesting that will affect any decisions made, of course....}

And, of course, I wasn't suggesting anything about Blatter, Ed001. We all know he's an upstanding, incorruptible gentleman who wouldn't use his position to influence the outcome of this case. Even if it is to do with Switzerland. Which is where he's from. And where FIFA is based.

Correct me if I am wrong but FIFA have nothing to do with the UEFA CL. {Ed002's Note - They are separate organizations, yes.}

17 Dec 2011 12:29:55
Wow...The Suarez Vs Evra case is going on for ever ! It would seem that FA law is not so Black and White ! HEE HEE Tobiwan

17 Dec 2011 12:28:49
HEY LFC FANS...

The january window is coming up...........and i for one think its VITAL...........that we buy a striker and a winger that has pace or who can maybe score a few and cause problems for the oppositions defence! i think we can defend well........maybe a defensive mid if we can get one

but we must buy......yes we have good players..but we are not in the top 4 yet with what we have...we need more quality
otherwise this club will disappear like bloody juventus.........and i for one do not want that to happen.

getting into that top 4 this yr will make us..or simple break us...

JUVE are TOP of there league!!!

You know what i mean...they have disappeared into the wilderness...they got beat by fulham easy...
im just saying i understand that every team has a bad time at some point...but lfc MUST do what they can to get back to the top ASAP..and not in 10 yrs time..

17 Dec 2011 12:12:09
Apparently,Jermaine defoe is looking to leave spurs,proven finisher,could be a qulity addition,what do you think ?? :)

Nah too short

Rules out moves for Messi, Xavi and the elusive Aguero then...

He won't move out of london, he struggled to settle at pompey!!

He'll go to Fulham

He isn't a "proven finisher". He's good from range but isn't the sort of goal poacher we need. Soldado all the way for me

Red Ollie

17 Dec 2011 12:03:22
Could someone let me know if you have any problems with LFC tv. Mine says that currently does not broadcast. Thanks Alex

Mines fine mate must be your end

I just checked my online feed and yes , the same statement of 'not broadcasting' appears .

Good Luck to LFC on Sunday ... Villa 0 : 2 LFC

Is liverpool on tv tomorrow?

17 Dec 2011 11:50:00
Hi eds,

can you tell me if our club currently operates at a profit?

Thanks

Rewflo {Ed001's Note - currently, no.}

Do we break even?

How many clubs do operate at a profit?

Rewflo {Ed002's Note - Liverpool make a loss. The last set of accounts to June 2010 showed a loss of £20M plus. The losses for the year to June 2011 will show higher losses when they are published and the losses to June 2012 will be higher agin. This is where Champions League football makes a big difference as it would provide £30M plus income per year.}

17 Dec 2011 11:07:24
i think we need to be relistic with our targets in jan, i also think they will come from teams within the premier league, we need a good hard working hard tackling defensive midfielder, what about nigel de jong, cant get in the man city side and wants first team football. we need a stiker, jermaine defoe, he has and will continue to score goals year on year, also wants first team football. both of these could come in a do a job for us. lucas podoski would also be a good buy, very similar to bellamy imo. we look good on the counter attack and extra pace in the side and on the bench would be great. we are not gonna get the top crop of players in europe untill we can offer champions league football again.
ed do you think city would sell dejong?
matt 27 {Ed001's Note - De Jong is out of the City team because of a contract dispute, they won't match his demands. Do you really think we can match his wage demands if City won't???}

I could be wrong ed, but i think dejong is on an average wage at city if you consider some of there players wages. maybe he thinks if players around him are on 200k a week then i want to be. no game time, euros in the summer...... maybe he would consider an offer.
matt27 {Ed002's Note - De Jong earns more than £133k per week at Manchester City - just a little above the average and certainly a lot more than I would think Liverpool would be willing to pay him.}

17 Dec 2011 11:01:11
Luuk De Jong?
Have to admit I know nowt of him.
What sort of striker is he?
Carroll ilk, which would mean he's lazy, lumbers about on the field, has abject passing and substandard finishing.

Or Adebayor-like, tall, strong, quick, pacey, fairly skilful, excellent footwork and hold-up play and, crucially, a hard worker and nifty finishing.

Or Kuytish: no pace, no skill, terrible touch, but excellent energy and knuckles down, often fine predatory instincts.

Anyone who knows the guy... eds, fellow posters?

Melville
Ps: ed, how brave do you reckon we'll be this January? Anything exceeding £20m?
Me myself I don't that we'll be that brave.
But for an important player (i.e. Soldado, Sissoko, Krasic) I think the chairman would be pleased to make the funds available). {Ed001's Note - are you insane? Adebayor hard working? He is lazier than any forward in England! He is also prone to missing more shots than anyone you will ever see - hence his nickname Ade-Barn-Door.}

Rest a sure RAMERIZ to line up with LUIS

Suarez has missed more than Adebayor, and Adebayor has 8 goals and 5 assists so isnt that bad mate. He is undeniably effective something we all want Carroll to become. Although you will notice when under any pressure from a defender he will always shoot straight down the middle at the keeper. {Ed001's Note - I wasn't comparing Adebayor with Suarez, I was pointing out that what you wrote was wrong. Adebayor is lazy and only plays for the money, of which he receives far more than we would be willing to pay him.}

Firstly I wasnt the original poster... i was comparing Ade to Suarez to show that this nickname Ade-Barn-Door is not entirely apt and that he is actaully a top striker. In terms of lazy actually describing a top player as lazy is lazy in itself. If you want to win cups invariably you will need a money motivated player or 2 in your squad as alot of them are top players, yes ideally you would want to replicate barca and generate top players in-house but its frankly unrealistic, if Adebayor or another money motivated striker became available we should buy or loan them to score the goals to get us back into top four. Use there services and then transfer list them and buy a player that plays for the club and understands the philosophy. {Ed001's Note - but Adebayor is not a top striker, he gets wages higher than anyone in our squad. It is insanity or stupidity to suggest we should sign an average striker like him on the wages he demands. His record is not that great, he has one good season at a club, then he is a donkey. He has never, nor will ever be a top striker, that is why he is unwanted at City. If he was a top striker, he would not be out on loan to a potential rival!}

Oh no not this guy again.

If you think Carroll's lazy maybe you should ring up Kenny and ask him about his training regime.

Watch how hard he works in a match instead of just looking at at how fast a player is and judging him on that.

KT!

From a spurs fan ed, I'm not an adebayor fan but the lad has worked hard since joining spurs {Ed001's Note - yes, because he hasn't got a permanent contract for you yet, he will play until he gets one. Then he will shamble around the pitch showing no real interest until his contract needs extending. He has motivational issues, he is far too laid back.}

Ed I happen to agree with you about ignorance been no deffence and although I think he has been stiched up here, and I don't believe he is racist he must have known he was winding evra up at the time. Let's face it the defence is he did not realise the term would cause offence in our culture, so he has never seen an american or European film or tv programme? Sorry but my mind has changed over the last 24 hrs and with the hearing lasting longer than first expected I will be surprsed if he is not punished. All that said and done all this is based on press reports and the truth of the case could be very different! Let's hope so.

Hi to all Liverpool fans, it is I FERNANDO TORRES.
I would like to start by saying all you read about my return ARE true! This always the big plan of the master and leader KING KENNY. He came to me and said "ea Torres u go to CHelsea for £50m,play s**t and only score in a few games OK, and i'll buy you back next Jan for half the price". You see this would give Kenny a clear run at Carroll, who will only of cost the club £5m on my return.As i was going through a hard time trying to find a nanny, i thought a sort break in London would help me and the club.Now i have my nanny I am ready for my return,and to move back into my old house with LUIS,so now all is out in the open I hope you understand ,and I will see you soon.

What a kind of a tool is this person, get a life and stop making up ridiculous stories. Torres will NEVER return to Liverpool nor will he be welcomed back. Get over it.

He would be welcomed back, us Liverpool fans are like that..It is only the spam who will still be angry at someone who has understood they have made a mistake.

Why would we welcome a player back who let us down when we needed him most.

He is a Chelsea player now, let him go.

KT!

Please stop all this negativity around Torres - If he does return, no-one can doubt he is still a world class striker (and one of very few around) who would strengthen any team and, once he is back 'happy' again, the goals will start to flow.
Him and Suarez up front would be an amazing combination!
Yes, he said a few stupid things when he left, but I for one would welcome him back with open arms.

Apparently he has a World class Nanny as well.

Do you really think Roman would sell mid season to a club who is rivalling his side for a champions league spot?

Dirks Engine Room

Right, Lets get it straight, Torres is crap at the moment. We are struggling with one expensive miss firing striker we don't want another. Only difference is that Carroll will come good, like Lucas did, Torres is finished as a World class player.

Sooty

I don't hold too big a grudge against him personally, but the fact is that he may never regain the form he once had for LFC.

Even if a deal were on offer (which it isn't and won't be), KK would be taking a major gamble on a player who we already know had a poor two final seasons for LFC and has continued that for Chelsea.
Why take the risk?
A young striker like Sturridge or De Jong would be a much safer bet than Nando.
And what do we do the next time he gets upset or disillusioned with the club, and spoils the dressing room unity again?
At 28, he's just not worth a punt for 20 million.

Sorry mate you are deluded.
Its simple, he is crap at the moment.
How short is your memory, he had plenty of negative things to say about LFC, and also left the club for his own selfish money reasons.
Stop idolising him!.
We deserve "much better" than he could possibly offer now!
Food for thought.

Torres not going to Liverpool for these reasons:

1. Chelsea need him when Drogba goes Africa cup.
2. They don't need the money so why sell?
3. They wouldn't sell to a top 4 rival
4. Don't you think Torres will want to go home?

Quick Question:
If Suarez will not have a decision by the 20th, does that mean he is eligible to play against Villa this weekend?

Thanks!
SSRED11 {Ed002's Note - Of course.}

Most stupid question ever.. Well Done.

Doh! have you not heard the phrase INNOCENT until proven guilty ?

Hi Ed's,

Don't get to watch much German football. How does podolski go? Remember him few WC's ago he tore everyone apart..

Cheers

red snake {Ed001's Note - he has not been at that level in the league, but he is much closer to it since returning to Koln. I haven't managed to watch more than 6 or 7 games with him over the last couple of seasons though, he might have lit up the rest or been terrible!}

Huge flop at BM

Huge flop at Koln, Stick with Kuyt trust me

To much nonsense on here. I don't know where people hear these rumours, you should make people leave a source. In my opinion, the only position we need to improve is ST. We need a prolific goal scorer, Carroll doesn't cut the chase. You may think that i'm on something here but I truthfully think Torres will return on a loan deal until the end of the season. We don't need to fill in the CDM position, we have players capable of playing there I.E Spearing, Gerrard, Henderson. Gerrard ideally. I think if we sign a world class striker then we'll easily make it into the top four. Suarez is world class but lets admit, he's not the greatest finisher, he quantity rather than quality. Which isn't necessary a bad thing. Get a top finisher like Torres and we will definitly finish top 4.

I thought u said top finisher?

Kaizer {Ed001's Note - I just wonder how he can complain about nonsense then say he thinks Torres is coming back!}

Torres ha

Appreciate what youve said re.podolski Ed.Therefore If LFC where interested,would it not be worth getting DIdi to extole the virtues of playing for us,to Podolskl? {Ed001's Note - it is certainly a common tactic, getting an ex or current player to extol the virtues of your club. I would certainly be doing so if we move for him.}

Karl Hienz also!
