Ive replied once before but this is first post. I am involved in pro football but unprtunately not particularly important. I have heard LFC are building a good relationship with Owen Coyle. They see him as a good enough mentor/coach to let some young lads experience more game time. Borrell is not always keen on letting other coach's bad habits inhibit a player's improvement. More to come if anyone's actually interested :)

Just wondered what your thought are on our Defensive Midfielder situation. Assuming that we manage to get Poulsen placed, by my reckoning we'll only have Lucas and Spearing for this role. Why all the talk about sending Spearing out on loan? - surely we need him? Unless the plan is to buy in this transfer window which seems unlikely to me given the other priorities (CM and possible replacement for N'gog)

Your thoughts would be valued {Ed002's Note - Try and get away from the mindset that midfield players are not sometimes able to play in any role - Adam for instance could play there.}

Cahill deal to be done before the bolton match. Ngog, will not be a part of the deal. Players that will go will be nabil, poulson, degen, pacheco and suso will go out on loan to a spanish club

Last year was depressing. Mr mediocre had taken charge of our beloved football club. Most thought that he could be the perfect candidate for the Liverpool job, beating the likes of Klinssman and Rijkaard. Last year we had Hicks and Gillet in charge. On this site, we were talking about ownership and as usual, who Liverpool could sign. We were thinking about signing Toivonen, ruiz and turan, and we got poulsen and konchesky. We had only hope that our players could deliver and we would be sold soon, and all our problems would go. We lost so many matches, and i would force myself to watch every minute i could, with hope that we would win the game with last minute goals, but that never happened. Liverpool were becoming a joke to other fans. Life was bleak on the pitch and off it.

And then came Kenny Huang. Things were starting to get interesting. More people were posting on the site about the takeover. Then there was Yaya Kirdi. And then the whole saga between Broughton and H&G about the sale to NESV. Things were becoming more exciting. We got sold to NESV and some of the feel good factor was back.

And then we lost to everton. Hodgson was still in charge. We were playing negative football still. Torres was only good against Chelsea. The loss at Blackburn was the last straw. We all were now pressurising JW Henry into sacking.

Macca broke the news first. Nobody beleived him when he said The KING would return before the utd game. Then it happened, hodgson was GONE Everyone was happy again, and although we lost out next 3 games, i wasn't forcing myself to watch anymore. Torres was getting sharper and many were playing better.

Everyone eagerly awaited the transfer window. We desperately needed players. Babel was first to go and suarez was rumoured to join, although the eds weren't convinced. Then right at the last, our hero handed in a transfer request to go to CHELSEA. my blood was boiling. But at least we'd have suarez and carroll.

We played his team first. The most passionate game in ages. We all desperately wanted to show him that he made the wrong decision. Our team put out a great performance that day, without
suarez or carroll. Our new stars of Miereles and Lucas, outclassed our old hero and his team, and optimism was high. We further went on to beat the mancs thanks to suarez and kuyt and smashed brum and fulham with hat tricks from maxi, and also the magnificent carroll vs man c. Liverpool were rising again, all thanks to great management by the King, Clarke and the owners.

Although missing out on europe, we were optimistic about the next season and the transfer window.

We have signed great players in the last 2 months, that we could have dreamed about last year.
Henderson -great youngster, england u21 vice
Adam-great passer, shooter, and set piece specialist
Downing -fantastic winger with speed, shooting and crossing
Enrique -one of the best left backs ib the league
And we still have SUAREZ and the developing, young carroll. Also with cahill close to signing

After all this, i am shocked to read all this negativity on this site. I would understand if roy was in charge, but with all these players willing to give their all for lfc and with great team spirit, how can you be so negative? So what if we don't get Mata, Aguero or Turan. We are Liverpool supporters that support their club through thick and thin and back every player that plays on that pitch for us, whether it be poulsen or ngog.
Reminding you just incase you forgot

The Levante U.D. has reached a tentative agreement with Nabil El Zhar (27-8-1986, Alès - France) for the next two seasons. The player, French-Moroccan nationality, top club after it terminated Orriols the day today in the contract that has been linked in recent seasons at Liverpool. Nabil El Zhar is a versatile player that can act either by the two bands though his natural position is located in the right lane. Although born in France, the player is a full international with the selection of Morocco, the country of their parents. With the African side has played 9 games and scored 2 goals. New signing Levante formed in the lower categories of Nimes and Saint-Etienne, and signed by Liverpool in 2006. Since then he has alternated his appearances between the subsidiary and the first team, which has played a total of 21 games. Last season went on loan to FC Paok Thessaloniki, where he faces 19 games getting a goal from European competition and the Greek league.

think we should play kuyt ahead of henderson, for me hes a better player , kuyt wont give arsenals defence (which is shaky) a min to settle n we just get on them , he gets into scoring positions n plays quick clever passes, lots more from him ,

Ed, is it true that Kenny Dalglish is after Gary Cahill?

it'd be pretty good.. get's sterling some game time as well as cahill and we'd get sterling back at the end of the season. {Ed002's Note - And you asked this question after finding no mention of the player on the Liverpool pages at all?}

18 Aug 2011 19:08:36
To the poster about players who graft only do it to make up for lack of talent. Ian Rush worked his asse off closing defenders down,never gave them a minutes peace on the ball, and he made goal scoring look like a piece of piss mate. Jonson6

No deal is even close to be done for Cahill. If we were to get him at all I would guess it would be in the last day or two of the transfer window.

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has not ruled out more signings before the end of the transfer window.

Having already spent £48.5million on the arrivals of Jordan Henderson, Charlie Adam, Stewart Downing, Alexander Doniand Jose Enrique, there are still expected to be more arrivals at Anfield this summer.

A centre-back is thought to be a top priority and Liverpool have been linked with Stoke's Ryan Shawcross, Bolton's Gary Cahilland Birmingham's Scott Dann ahead of a 31st August transfer deadline.

Speaking in the build-up to Saturday lunchtime's match at Arsenal, Dalglish attempted to keep his cards close to his chest regarding the recruitment plans, but did not dismiss extra signings.

"Until the transfer window shuts, the most honest answer I can give is, 'I don't know'."
Kenny Dalglish
Quotes of the week
Asked whether Enrique could be Liverpool's final acquisition of the summer, Dalglish, who signed as manager on a permanent basis in May, is quoted as saying: "I don't know - it's the same as I don't know if that's your last question

"I cannot answer it honestly. I suppose it's a little bit like last year when I was asked, 'when are you signing the contract?' or, 'have you been asked to sign?' - until the transfer window shuts, the most honest answer I can give is, 'I don't know'."

18 Aug 2011 18:21:08
Me like probably alot fans are getting inpatient with getting a centre back same thing happened with left back now resolved.
I think we need to put firm offer in cos the same rumours coming up everyday since last 2 to 3 weeks over and over we know 4 candidates pointless talking abt it till firm offer on table.
personally and hate saying this but some games last year our defence was a shambles and if we dnt get a centre back or even 2 we aint got chance getting top 4 simple
Times running out lads hurry up and get us 2 cb in my opinion.

18 Aug 2011 17:52:08
Have to say at the moment the squad is looking strong,a CB and maybe someone like benayoun (as Macca has said were after) would complete the window perfectly in my humble opiniun. Gerrard coming back will be like a new signing and surely him and Adam will be a quality midfield partnership.. All in all im confident of a good season, and think we can get back where we belong in the champions league, perhaps even making a title challenge..? Exciting times ahead..

Kenny must pick Maxi or Kuyt ahead of Henderson on Saturday as we need their LFC playing experience in the team to take advantage of the situation - picking up 3 points at Arsenal would be massive for the confidence of the team and fans. I would settle for a draw but we are yet to win there and staying high up the table while the new players bed in is what we need to get 4th spot.

Comrades

Liverpool no longer showing any interest in Baptiste. Therefore they are no longer interested in a centre-back or have narrowed their target down to just one and are closing rapidly. Some older experienced player at Swansea is of interest as a potential squad signing. Office staff know very little these days - place is now tighter than a duck's harris.

Ed if N'gog is sold will there be a new striker bought or will Kuyt be used up front instead ? {Ed009's Note - Kuyt will be used there regardless, but there is a chance another striker could be bought I suppose. It is all a matter of time really; it takes time to sell and it takes time to buy.}

to jonson6... hi mate 'the night doctor' here.. not been posting on our page 'cos im just awaiting the end of the 'window'..
i said on the 6th of aug that i would come back on sep1 with either a 'sorry' or 'i told you so' comment..this was due to me getting pelters on our page....
at the moment its looking like the latter.. we are in danger of spiralling out of the CL and i'd be surprised if we come above LFC this year.. many on our page slagged off kk but to me he's been far more impressive with his performance than the nutty professor..he seems to think that if a player costs more than say 15m its not worth it.. what he wont consider is that to improve you have to pay todays fees/wages (inflated as they are) i honestly believe we'll end up out of europe altogether if changes are not made soon.. standing on the away end at NUFC on the opening day i seemed to be in the majority..'spend some f***ing money' was the song sung nearly all the match... our best players have gone/going and we're replacing them with kids from what is in effect the 3rd division..if other fans can see it why cant the manager.. i also think that the 'hicks/gillette' syndrome could soon hit us.. the yank 'silent stan' is only interested in the money he can make and the rest of the board are so up his arse they wont do a thing..
anyway mate, not looking forward to saturday for obvious reasons and to be honest this could be our worst season for quite some time..good luck to the pool apart from this weekend and of course when we come to anfield.. apart from that please beat Man Utd whenever you play them 'cos i hate fergie...
sorry to the pool fans who get pissed off when other fans come on their page..but thats life..
regards

The Night Doctor...

I hope we attack Arsenal and attack hard as they should be there for the taking. We must get in their faces and pass the ball with confidence and purpose.

We failed to control possession against Sunderland but with another week of training together, the team's interaction should have improved somewhat and in the absence of Song and Diaby we should aim to dominate the centre.

Generally our best performances last year have been when we went at teams from the first whistle and made chances during those first 7 minutes. We need to do the same against Arsenal to unsettle them, and then break their confidence by scoring early.

Luis and Andy should cause havoc against their weakened defence, we just need to keep Arshavin and RVP at bay as we usually invoke their best form.

After reading KK say we MIGHT be buying another player or two I have a good feeling about whats going to come in. It isn't based on anything concrete just a feeling however I think we may buy another 3 players. Obviously Cahill is that first of them i think. We do need a centre back to replace Carra. A great servant but plays too much hoof ball for my liking. I also have a feeling a winger and striker will be brought in. I would like to see Adam Johnson and Higuain. I know they probably won't happen but KK's words have left me dreaming of what might be. What do you think of both his words and the chance of my suggestions happening Ed and/or macca? Great site. {Ed009's Note - High for Cahill, low for Johnson, very low for Higuain.}

18 Aug 2011 16:04:59
A Danish media says that Liverpool have bit 85 M danish Kr. (about 10M£) + Ngog and Sterling to lend for Cahill. I know that Sterling is a huge talent, but why would Bolton lend a 16 year old lad? They can only use him on their second team, he is not old enough to play Premier League yet. ED's can you tell me why Bolton would have any interest to lend him? {Ed009's Note - Perhaps they see him as a genuine first team option as he certainly has the ability. I too would be cautious of this move from Liverpool's point of view. He would be far better in Liverpool's reserves, learning our way of playing.}

The best decision that Parry made at Liverpool was not to appoint Jose as manager.
What a disgrace he is.
I know that there is big problem with Barcelona players that they go down easily and act but same can be said of C.Ronaldo and others in Madrid team but problem is with attitude that Jose puts in his players.
We all remember when ever Liverpool beat Chelsea under Jose he always thought that he was cheated.

In same way he at madrid sends his players out to injure other teams players who make some horrible tackles.
Then on top of this every time when other team wins there is some conspiracy.
His behavior sometimes borders on the person who believes he is god.

I just pray after fergi he becomes United Manager because they both deserve each other.

Granted the team has improved compared with that of last year. Nonetheless, when you compare it to the team we had in 2009 when we should have won the league, it falls short in my opinion.

Torres, Mascherano, Alonso, Arbeloa, Reira and Banayoun all gone and all provided quality and balance to the team. This is the reality of the situation. Moreover, it looks like Gerrard's injury is worse than initially thought so will we ever see a fully fit Gerrard again?

*Kenny Huang
*Yaya Kirdi
*Qatar Invesment Authority
*Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Nayhan
*Sheikh Khalifa
*"James007"
*"Mr Broughton"

Anyone remember these names?
But the following were the gems for me:

"LFC's been (secretly) taken over the Qatar Investment Authourity (QIA). The official announcement will be made after September 1st after major targets have been secured.

"That so as to avoid selling clubs inflating prices were they to find out we been taken over.
Smokescreens, smoke and mirrors."

Lmfao Can ye believe it? Worse still, some were gullible enough to fall for it all.
I often wonder where "James007 and/or "Mr Broughton" disappeared to. (Or maybe they're still here, roaming this terrain pseudo?)

Nevertheless, those were difficult times indeed.
In dark days I often look back to those days for solace.
Things could've been MUCH WORSE. We may well have found ourselves a division down, or a bottom-table club.

Suarez ,Carroll and all our recruits this summer wouldn't have came.
We'd have become a shoal of sardines; our top players being literally picked up for peanuts.

Brunt, Long and the like may well have been huge possibilities.
Christ
Even now that he's happy and free from harm, and in the pursuit of greatness, a greatness he's well-placed attain,
do not let him forget the muds he once stood on-- which nearly swallowed him,
let him forget not that "taking for granted" verges on ingratitude and unappreciativeness.

The number of times some on here have questioned and discountenanced John Henry and Tom Werner leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
Disgraceful.
Sometimes one just has to be grateful that one is still alive.

Lastly, what's with that head of Gervihno's? Is that what people refer to when they talk "modern things"? Ridiculous, absolutely dreadful.
Jeysus I'd sooner meet bloke on the pitch than in a dark alley.

I know: judge players on their footballing ability, but, I'm sorry, I like my players to be presentable.

Hi eds. Can u realistically tell me if kk has got money 2 spend on players? It seems to me this will be the end of the spending, unless well get rid of some dead wood, and even then it wont be a big money buy. And if we are to buy anymore players who do u think will they be? Hello people,

I haven't been on this site in a while now, but is it just me or does Henderson look like a donkey? I first noticed it when we played Sunderland towards the end of the season and beat them. The only good thing i noticed about him is that he has an engine but apart from that he doesn't look like he's going to replace SG in the future.

The Lucas Issue.

Stats show that Lucas has made a ridiculously high number of tackles last season. FACT. Stats also show that his pass success rate is high. FACT.
Question- How many fouls has Lucas committed and how many were on the edge of the 18yard area in dangerous free kick positions?
Question- How many cross field 'changing play' passes has he attempted and made and how many were just short passes directly to a player 10 yards away?
Mascherano could tackle. Sissoko could tackle. But were they creative enough a defensive midfielder in the mould of an alonso? No. All they are good for is to win the ball and lay it off to the closest creative player(which is what lucas is doing).
He has no vision, he is terribly clumsy around our own box and if every freekick that he gave away ended up in the top corner would all the lucas lovers still be singing his praises?
For those who argue that he is a fixture in the Brazil team. Common. Its brazil. There's plenty of creative players around him for him to dish his 10yard passes to.
But for liverpool? He actually prevents us from playing 4-4-2 cos he is not a creative enough central midfielder... He was bought to fit into Rafa's 2 Defensive midfielder strategy.
We need someone more versatile. Someone who can play a throughball consistently and tackle, and not give away freekicks on the edge of our box.

Eds, with all these rumors of Jay Spearing on loan to Bolton as part of the Gary Cahill deal I'm beginning to ask myself why we keep sending him out. Is it in hope that he becomes world-class? because in my opinion he won't benefit as much from going to another team, even if it means more first team football. Your views? {Ed002's Note - You must be thinking of a different player. Spearing has been at Liverpool aside from a two month spell at Leicester a couple of years back.}

After seeing the NextGen match last night, Liverpool were clearly 2 or 3 years behind Sporting Lisbon in terms of experience. I believe in the long run results like that will be a good experience for the lads. I still think there are a handful of that group that can make it in the next few years, although to me the progress of Suso seems to have stalled in last 12 months.

Talk about Kuyt being on his way out...

Yes Kuyt puts in 100%, Yes the man never gets injured and is never tired of running. Yes he is Liverpool Through and Through.(Danny Murphy as well)
The man can't cross. So playing him on the wing is a pointless exercise.
He was originally a striker and his goalscoring records are good. So REALISTICALLY the best position would be as a stiker.
But we're not playing a 4-4-2. We're playing 1 Striker with two inside forwards cutting in from either wing.
So if he is a striker the only place for him would be on the bench as backup to carroll. Which would not be getting him much game time if carroll stays fit. Not like Kuyt is much of an IMPACT player off the bench either... He's nothing more than a workhorse. (perfect for being a second striker in a 4-4-2 system but not a lone man upfront)
So put your loyalties aside for one minute and think of the Squad as a whole. Yes we may love Kuyt and his loyalty. But does he really make us a world class team? No he doesn't.
And he is currently taking the place of someone who could if he is sold and replaced with a young wide talent.
Think about the difference in the squads flexibility if we could replace Kuyt with a player similar to Suarez..(the hazards mata's of this game.)
Sometimes loyalty stops you from improving and getting better.
And the same will go for Carra and Gerrard when they get too old and are not performing at their best anymore. Are we still gonna be die hard supporters of them in our starting lineup or will we advocate that they be replaced with someone that would improve the team?

Why do u Guys so worried About liverpool has paid 35 million for Caroll, 20M for Downing and 16m for Henderson. It is the not the Guys who paid the Money. And the owners, who were the best in the Business, were happy with the Business.
Buying players were not as easy process as you would think and it has a long process before the Clubs agrees a Deal. And if Liverpool Manager, Chief Executive, Owners and Damien Cameolli feels that the Player is worth the Fee Quoted, then only the Transfer will Go through.
And i personall feels that we are not good enough Businessmen as our Owners and Chief Executive and not had good enough Footballing brain as Kenny and Cameolli.

Hi eds could plse clear up regarding Gary Cahill situation. My understanding why is Bolton playing hardball when he is in his last year of contract so they could lose him for nothing and when could whe start talking to the player about a free transfer. Does Gary want to come to us and why did not yet sign a new contract at Bolton Thanks Zorro {Ed009's Note - I have no doubt he would love to come to us. He has not signed a new contract for the exact reason that he knows he can play for a 'bigger' club in one year at most. Bolton are currently playing hardball with clubs attempting to buy the player.}

Cahill will be sold, no doubt about it. hes got 9 months left on his contract. bolton can't afford to let him leave for free. They are most likely waiting till deadline day to get as much as they can. {Ed001's Note - or they may feel that keeping him is worth more than the money they will get for selling him.}

Via BBC: West Brom striker Peter Odemwingie has alerted Arsenal and Tottenham of his availability by declaring he would only quit the Baggies for a "top club".

Representatives of both clubs have apologised to the player
as his agent showed league positions from 2 years ago. However, the player has responded through an intermediare and stated Tottenham were not even considered when he suggested a "top club". His advisors have recommended against considering Asenal as a "top club" on recent evidence. It is hoped the player with proper advice from the managerial staff will end up at a "top club". Talks are onging with Fulham F.C..

Hi Eds and fellow reds. Found this on Andy Carroll and thought of all the so called Liverpool fans on ere who have been saying how rubbish he is. It's true what is said, and hopeful you'll start to support him as he is a member of our team. Sorry for the copy and paste but if all you Aguero lovers gave the lad a chance we we'll have one goal machine on our hands. After all we all say how good Dr king Kenny is, so give Carroll, Henderson, the whole team a chance to gel and let the KING work his magic and do what he does best.... YNWA
TIZER RED

In the January transfer window, Liverpool football club was involved in four player transfers, two came in and two went out, the players that went out being Ryan Babel and Fernando Torres. Whilst those that came in were Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll. That is a quite interesting considering that all transfers involved forwards.
All four transfers were big money deals, with three of them being in excess of 20 million quid. Of those three deals, one of them was a British record. The player being Andy Carroll, a young player with a lot of promise and potential. Who was scoring a lot of goals and was being given many name tags like, "the next Shearer" or "the next Drogba" (I personally don't like these name tags, I prefer the simple tag "Wonderkid"). Andy Carroll, a tall lad who is very strong, a giant as some may say, who many have described as the very best in the air, with a thunderous left foot and he possesses speed that could fool many.
When Carroll was signed, a lot was expected of him, many people wanted to see many goals. The media started going on and on about Andy Carroll and how he is a new Shearer that is going to do big things for Liverpool FC. Many talking about how Dr King Kenny is the manager that made Shearer the player he became. And how Dr Dalglish was going repeat that with Andy Carroll.
Carroll came injured and did not play a game until March, and when he did start playing the expectations on him were not huge because he was coming from injury and because his strike partners were finding the net. The midfielders were scoring too, there was a time when Meireles was on song and later on Maxi hit a purple patch, hence the British record transfer was not under much pressure to score. He did score two goals though, one of them being a belter that had every Liverpool fan dancing and a beautiful header past the rated Citeh and England Goalie, Hart. Those goals allayed any fears we had in him and made us imagine of the great times ahead. Though at the time there was a lot of talk of how wingers that swing in crosses would bring the best out of the 35 million man.
During the summer transfer window we bought Henderson for 16 million, Downing for 20 million quid and Adam for about 8 million. All these are players that are well known for assists and had quite a sizeable number of assists last season. Downing being the player known to "whip it in" from either wing, Henderson also had many assists last term and Adam who can provide great assists from set pieces. Comolli himself said Adam can be a left sided player and SAF said his corners alone are worth 10 million. Adam has already provided one assist so far and we know that more are coming. Dr King Kenny and Comolli also brought in Enrique whose offensive play is more recognizable than his defensive play.
When you consider all the summer signings you will be forgiven for thinking that Dr King Kenny is building the team around Carroll (I have already forgiven myself). I too believe that most the signings we made after we bought Carroll were meant for us to bring the best out of Carroll: the player that is said to be unstoppable when he gets his groove on and fully fit. And if our very own Dr believes so, then who am I not to?

Some of my mates on Twitter believe that if we had not signed Carroll we would not have signed Downing, Henderson or Adam this summer. Especially if Torres had stayed at Liverpool, then we may have signed Mata and some other player. They believe we did not sign Mata because Dr Dalglish and Comolli thought Mata would not be able to swing the ball in like Downing and they believe Mata is the type of winger that likes to cut in and not hug the line.
So if our eventual singings were brought in to suit Carroll's game, then that would mean the total amount of money spent towards Carroll would be 79 million That is 35m plus 20 (Downing) plus 16m (Hendo) plus 8m (Adam).
All this should mean that we are going to have many goals from Carroll this season, because the players that the Doctor (Dalglish) ordered are exactly the players that Carroll should thrive on. All this gets me excited. And Carroll should have had one goal already this season, but that silly referee decided to rule out his goal. I am confident that many will come from the young lad.
I would never want to be In Carroll's shoes, that is, knowing that Dr King Kenny is building Liverpool around me. Just playing for Liverpool FC should be scary enough, but being the present and future of such a great club should be a mighty task. And knowing that most of the players that were bought, were bought to make it easier for him to score could put a sizeable amount of pressure on Carroll, wouldn't it?
Thankfully this is Carroll we are talking about, the English giant. Our Doctor has already backed him to score a lot of goals and so have many respected opinion leaders. Other players too have backed him to be prolific this season, Jose Enrique being one of them. What is most important is that Carroll himself has backed himself to score many goals this season.

Greetings from Africa to Merseyside.
1-Eds I know we are to have on trial four young strikers. Marco Bueno, Bijev, Nacho and Angban Bekanty are the trialists. I've seen Bueno and Bekanty in the u17 world cup and they seem to be good prospects, and I don't know anyhting about the other two. They say Bijev is already in kirkby and played some games, can anyone shed any light on how good he is, and who is in liverpool from the other three or when they're coming.
2-From Cahill and Dann, which one is more closely linked to a move.
3-Park-Chu-Young, are we still interested?
Appreciate your efforts in replying to the huge number of posts, but most of all your patience with the huge number of bull**** being posted.
"Second is nothing" Bill Shankly
"I guarantee you 4th place" Rafael Benitez
Hope The King bring those Shankly days Back, and I have that feeling he will. But huge respect and love for Benitez for the champions league and what he did for the Academy.

SudaneseReD {Ed001's Note - 1. youth and reserve games are covered on the official site, I am ashamed to say that I haven't had a chance to catch any with the triallists in them myself though sorry. But due to the availability I am sure someone here will be able to give more details. 2. Right now I don't think either is all that close, Bolton are not interested in selling Cahill and we have made no attempt to sign Dann that I know of. 3. Park seems to be throwing himself at us in a major way, but we have shown little inclination to sign him yet, but with Ngog still at the club we are unlikely to sign a striker.}

Ed if u did like Cahill what would be the reason you wouldn't want that deal to happen? {Ed001's Note - no reason, except that I would like to see Sterling as the back up to Downing this season. I certainly would be glad to offload Ngog, he is clearly not good enough.}

I had a bit of a pop at the plastic brigade on here yesterday,claiming they are the majority on this good site - I retract that comment. The real fans and supporters are the majority, I was just caught in a moment of frustration and misery after reading some of the garbage posted by glory hunters.

It sickens me to see people slag off our players. But I guess I have to take the bad with the good. At least there are some class posters on here with passion in abundance, and they are the ones I remember, not these Citeh wannabe's.

Hi, I've been following this page for over a month now and I am addicted to it, so kudos. I have some questions do you think Liverpool is trying to shipout BOTH Aquilani and Meireles, or just one of them?And do you think we are targeting a right winger or not? Also I want to ask who is this Macca everybody is talking about and saying that he knows a lot?

Thankyou,
Newguy {Ed001's Note - it is not about wanting to ship them out, one wants to go and the other wants a huge pay rise which he is not getting. I have heard of no interest in any right wingers. Macca is a regular poster on the site.}

Hi all, eds, still don't think we're finished in the transfer market, starting to disbelieve all rumours, think we will sign people but not who have been mentioned. AND NO MARQUEE SIGNINGS EITHER. Adam was mentioned so much before, as was Downing, without being linked to every other club under the sun also, I think if Dann or Cahill were genuine contenders, they wouldn't still be linked with other teams as we would be having Liverpool negotiations ( behind close doors ) with them now. Adam and Downing, although common knowledge that we were interested, were not linked with 2454 other teams whilst the rumours were circulating. Henderson was a shock to everyone, as the others would have been if Agents kept their mouths shut and worried about their job as opposed to their commission.

On a brighter note, I have seen a couple of lyrically gifted posters this evening so thought I would give it a go myself:

I can name players and dates,
That make are club great,
Dalglish, Rush and Barnes,
Our majestic current number 8,
To list everything.
That stands us apart,
I'd be here for years,
Wouldn't know where to start.
To have cheered on the classics,
To be there when we flop,
To sit in Centenary,
And stand in the Kop,
Football's not religion,
Football isn't life and death,
Football isn't the be and end all
It may not be your final breath,
However,
Liverpool is my religion,
Liverpool is my life and death
Liverpool is my be and end all
And will be my final breath,
Gerry and the Pacemakers,
made a perfect song
We make it a life choice,
Every day that goes along
So i will finish as it should be,
For King Kenny has forseen,
That this year is not for Europe,
We will take our nineteen.
And for our beloved 96,
Your treatment we'll never condone,
We are Liverpool Football Club
And You'll Never Walk Alone

WelshScouse {Ed001's Note - Adam was linked to at least 3 clubs and I know for a fact Villa and Stoke made offers for him. I am sure there was someone else as well just can't think who. On a side note, I hope we have all signed this e-petition: http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/2199 and if not you should do!}
