Apologies if this has been covered, Liverpool had scouts at Romania v Greece the other day from what I heard, can any of the Edds confirm who we had watched? {Ed002's Note - No idea, sorry. Typically, many scouts don't bother with Iternational matches.}

watched holland against japan and honda had a very good game, we should try to get him before milan does in januari.
we will have a chance because milan won't make cl coming season + honda can play in midfield and on the wing.
another player we should keep a eye on is 19 year old veltman from ajax, very talented defender.
looking at our squad we need someone to come in and play on the left, we hardly score goals created from the left.
we should spend big on left sided attack minded defender in januari and get into the top 4.
in summer we need to keep hold of the players we have and another striker and midfielder that's all.
next season we will have suso back and ibe will be the real deal in the future, no need to spend on a winger.
mclaughlin is ready to get some minutes this season I am amazed that flanagan is ahead of him.
we are not that far away from being a force again.

Honda has a pre-contract with Milan. Time to let this go.

Before Xmas we have to get at least 13 points so that if we drop points against City and Chelsea we don't fall too far behind.

My predictor below gives me 16 points although I would be more than happy with 13

Everton (A) - 3 points
Hull (A) - 3 points
Norwich (H) - 3 points
West Ham (H) - 3 points
Spurs (A) - 1 point
Cardiff (H) - 3 points

As I've said above I think 13 (4 wins 1 loss and 1 draw is perfectly do-able but with the games over Christmas we need to be 100% on our game and win as many as we can and also try and steer clear of injuries)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Spurs away in winnable as well. They are not great this season especially at home.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree mighty reds
get an early goal and the crowd will turn on them.

Agree0 Disagree0

It is utterly pointless (excuse the pun!) performing these kind of prediction scenarios 5 games in advance, as they never work out how you would expect. To quote a certain Northern Irishman "one game at a time, " ;ets take it one game at a time boys!

Agree0 Disagree0

Well, lets's just take it one game at time lads!

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not so much prediction as emphasising the point that we should be getting 13 points from our next 6 games if we are going to hang in there at the top

Agree0 Disagree0

You do know you have the 6 games down for 16 points? 5 wins and a draw? No defeat!

And how would your predictor have seen our chances against Southampton earlier in the season?

A simple but effective point that in this league you cannot guess results in such a fashion. What if Suarez or Sturridge get injured? What if Mignolet dives at Aluko's feet and concedes a penalty and we lose against Hull? Too many variables, and you never guess the derby.
I do agree we need to sustain the 13 points you mention, I would not however even try and guess where those points will come from. It would be a good run without defeat, we should allow ourselves to believe we will be defeated either by skill or luck at some point in that run.
One game at a time is very much the mantra, but still allow hope that we will sustain. The way City and Chelsea are playing those two away games in December are not a foregone conclusion as a loss, and that combines with all the uncertainty of the above is what makes the EPL probably the best league in the world, as our old sponsors would say!

I would be happy with a point against Everton, don't see us coming through with all the three points.
Lucas should play his best game on saturday.

Anfield Andy

By the time Mingolet dives and conceedes a penlty, we would ahve hit 5 past Hull. I trust our strikers than anyone else in the planet. and against Hull, you should be 3-0 up in the first 30 mts.

any one have any news on suarez, I was told he won't be back from international duty until late Friday, and with our early KO against the blue nose's just wondered if he will be ok to start?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Just hoping tabarez decides to rest him

Agree0 Disagree0

Tabarez has said they will play the same side as in the first-leg.

I think Will Hughes is the type of player B.Rodgers would go for but I'm not sure whether he will go for him just yet as I can't see where he will fit in at the minute. I think we need more experienced proven at a high level players at this moment in time. I would like to see us bid for A.Witsel as he has recently hinted he would be intrested in a move to a big club in the EPL. what's everyones thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Couldn't afford witsel and we need to sign Hughes as his price will be to more as times go on as ed has explained

Agree0 Disagree0

Witsel cost Zenit somewhere close to £35 million including add-ons! No way is that transfer happening.

Sturridge injured training for England. not good leaves us with one recognised striker for the merseyside derby.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yet he is still named in the first XI for the game. Hodgson is a blert, both Sturridge and Gerrard have had niggling injuries - last thing they need is a tough international friendly. With Suarez away on international duty as well we're going to be looking fairly jaded and thread-bare for that early kick off on Saturday, disappointing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Has it occurred to you that theu want to play for england against germany?

Agree0 Disagree0

Its more about the willingness of the player to play with the injury.it has nothing to do with hodgson

Agree0 Disagree0

That may be the case but if they had niggling injuries Rodgers should be getting them withdrawn, just say Sturridge and/or Gerrard get a bad injury that keeps them out for 6 weeks? We'll be in trouble

Redwin. The story of Will Hughes joining is in the Echo not the Scum

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It will be funny to know how redwin found it was in the sun when it was everywhere this morning. He accused people of reading the sun. A think a touch of hypocrisy is there tbh.

See the will Hughes rumors r rampant today, I don't no much about the lad myself.id lv to hear the views of my fello kopiets have on the the player,, is he goodenough ect

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hey Kopgray, Hughes is good, I've watched every game this season, sometimes, when he doesn't have a "good game" he still makes things happen, which is always a good sign.

Worth 12 million? of course not, but he could fill that in years to come! He's great on the ball, he is always wanting on it, never hides, great feet.

Imo, I think he would be a good buy at around 10 million, loan him out until next season, and see how things go.

Hope if he comes, it doesn't push Suso out the picture, the guy is way too good!

Thanks

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for that Nelly, so I take it by what UV seen an said about him that he's not ready to throw strait into the first team then, more one for the future mate

Agree0 Disagree0

No offense nelly if the story is true its a waste of 12million.we have enough young midfielders already who aren't starting why add more with the tag of future prospect

Agree0 Disagree0

Well he's good man, first team, not yet, definitely could make a difference, we shall see if he comes!

I kind of agree Jessie, but who do you mean, in terms of CM? And young, 18 young, I believe he would be a great signing, he can make a difference, works hard

Thanks

I can see sturridge getting a brace and gerrard a pen in the derby on Saturday and finishing 3-1.
Arsenal and saints a draw, cardiff to stuff the mancs and city to beat spurs 4-1.
another good weekend for us . ;-)

Ynwa

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I wish haha. We struggled after the last break, and Arsenal aren't going to lose 2 in a row. Least IMO. going to be a big weekend.

Agree0 Disagree0

While that is possible, if we get beat and UTD win, the will be level on points with us and that will make it. depressing week for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

U mean the gerrard who's getting injections to play for England 4 days before the game? Or the sturridge who's injured but has stated he's going to push through the pain barrier to play for England? I can see them both out of the game.

Have any readers seen much of will Hughes playing this season, as opposed to watching YouTube highlights? How good is he now, and what is his potential?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

18 Nov 2013 10:41:17
Is Will hughes worth £12m? Not really seen him play.

Z

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It's more one of those 'potential future value' situations. No dout he has got talent, he is a good young player. The question is more will he end up achieving his potential, or would he be destined to be another squad player. It's a fair bit of money for a future squad player, or it's a small amount of money for a potentially great player. Look into your crystal ball and you will know the answer.
