Sakho signs a new deal, I'm very much glad for this, I just hope he starts getting picked now!

Just read his interview. Should've been our vice captain!
Might get a sakho jersey, I'm over the moon he's signed a new contract!

Contracts doesn't meen anything these days, its just a bump in wages. He is still going to go if he doesn't get more playtime.

19 Sep 2015 16:55:15
C'mon lads he's hardly Cara. He's a slight improvement on Skirts and Lovren but still shaky let's be honest here

Agree6 Disagree31

19 Sep 2015 18:41:26
Slight improvement on lovren. Was that when he was at Southampton?

Agree9 Disagree0

19 Sep 2015 19:53:11
Sahko is the best we have, simple. Don't care if he looks as elegant as a dancing bear because the boy can defend and pass the ball better than any CB we have. Slight improvement on Lovren? Nonesense! Lovren's errors have caused more goals than any CB in the PL since last season and compared to Skittles? No comment!

'How's it going lad' hahah

Call me "Mr. Cynical" but nowadays signing a new contract is usually a prelude to being sold.
Sakho will probably be off soon.

Spot on, Anfield! We've seen this happen many times. De Gea has signed a new deal but couldn't get out of Utd quick enuff to RM had it not been for the paperwork fiasco. We shall see if he still stays after this season

Agree0 Disagree2

20 Sep 2015 14:22:14
Couldn't get out of United quick enough? Never handed in a transfer request, never openly asked to move, never threatened to take the club to court, etc. think your thinking of your own little rat who left you for barca

Agree1 Disagree0

20 Sep 2015 22:29:46
Stand because he didn't do that doesn't mean he wanted to stay. It just means that he allowed his agent to take the heat off him while the move was being negotiated which Utd did already agree a fee for him to move.

Had the paperwork been done, he'd be there by now and your argument would be pointless. We shall see if he stays because RM will be back for him like they did for CR and we all know what happened then so enjoy him while he's here because he won't be here next season. Utd or RM for a kid who grew up in Madrid? Let me know what team he would pick.

What do you think about Sturridge and his injury problems? He is a top player for us but I am worried he is going to end up one of these players that never gets over his injury and ends up retiring early. I really hope not because IMO he is second only to aguero as the best striker in the league.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - It is difficult to see how he will be used in the monger term.}

19 Sep 2015 13:00:31
Was hoping someone could answer if they used to water the pitch before the game in the 60's,70's and 80's or is it a recent thing??Cheers

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - They have always watered pitches but there has been a recent trend to grow the grass a little longer and water far more heavily.}

19 Sep 2015 12:37:56
Damn injuries. Was looking forward to Hendo, coutinho and sturridge. Looks like we may only get 1 of them back as they should be treating sturridge like he is made of glass for a while.

Glass? I wish !!! He's made of tracing paper

Has henderson broken his toe yesterday. ? Some reports suggesting another 6-8 weeks out.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - yes, should be confirmed in a bit by the club.}

19 Sep 2015 12:24:34
Gutted for him and us to be honest things got even worse since he's been out.

Agree3 Disagree0

19 Sep 2015 12:13:29
Yes 2 months. Shame. Our midfield looks awful without him. BR is the most unluckiest manager when it comes to player availability.

He's spent a fortune Harry, wenger looses Ramsey all the time but manages!

OG

I agree, But Milner and Can wouldn't do any better.

henderson is very influential to our team. i pity the lad, and hope he comes back stronger.

19 Sep 2015 17:36:14
When is the Welsh Xavi back?

Agree1 Disagree0

19 Sep 2015 19:55:04
EG with the amount he's spent on players, losing Hendo shouldn't be a problem or else you wanna call us a one man team after BR spent 300m since he's been here?

Agree2 Disagree0

19 Sep 2015 19:59:20
Hopefully a while yet statto. Mind you difficult to see how we could be worse than the Utd game.

Redohio

Well He has spend money but did not spend wisely is more appropriate. We are now forced to play Milner and Can and we know how good they are.

Right time for Rossitter to step in and cement his place in the middle as the passing midfielder.

I don't have any hope on Can and Milner dude. I simply don't have.

Agree0 Disagree3

20 Sep 2015 03:06:21
Can has played a total of 5 or 6 games in midfield for us. Way too early to judge. That said I fear Milner may be the next Joe Cole.

What's Wenger won in the last 10 years? (Since he had Ramsey)?

Agree1 Disagree3

20 Sep 2015 08:55:04
More than Rodgers ron

Agree3 Disagree1

20 Sep 2015 11:42:21
True but Rodgers hasn't been a manager for 10 years and certainly not at one of the supposed challengers.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - but in the time Rodgers has been with us, a supposed challenger with a much bigger spend, he has won nothing while Wenger has won two FA Cups. Not a good comparison is it?}

20 Sep 2015 23:29:54
Not to mention wenger has got top 4 every year. For now, I'd take that!

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Sep 2015 11:59:05
I thought the owners had told Brendan to keep his mouth shut. Seems to be giving a lot of dialogue recently, the latest of which is to heap more pressure on Sturridge as the man to elevate our game. Surely nobody buys the verbal diarrhea anymore. I wish he would just shut up and do his talking on the field.

Believable14 Unbelievable6

19 Sep 2015 15:13:48
He's been saying the same things like that for example, for months and months. His stale excuses don't cut it anymore and even the media are starting to figure his double speak out now as pure rubbish. He's hailing Studge's comeback in a bid to take attention from the dross we are seeing on the pitch, just like he did last season and when Studge got injured again, he had nowhere to go. The man needs to get some new material because we've heard this all before

Agree4 Disagree0

19 Sep 2015 17:30:56
Sturridge loves it. He wants to be the main man!

Agree2 Disagree0

19 Sep 2015 20:02:45
Basically, the other teams have sussed the way to stop is playing and there is never a plan B. One forward, isolated, surrounded by out of position players trying to work out how not to keep running into each other. It's getting pretty tiresome to watch.

Agree3 Disagree0

19 Sep 2015 20:25:43
It's that bad that even the commentators here in the States have no idea what BR's system is nor what the team is trying to do, tactically.

Good morning Eds, if you have the time I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on Ibe.

Do you think his dip in form is purely down to the inconsistencies of youth, trying too hard or some coaching deficiency?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - I think it is a bit of them all. He is trying too hard to impress, he is still learning, but he is not being used well to get the most out of his ability.}

19 Sep 2015 22:36:59
Thanks Ed001, just hope he doesn't let his head drop

Agree1 Disagree0

20 Sep 2015 13:03:02
Ed what are your opinions of him as a player? I rate him very highly but there are a handful of Liverpool fans that thinks he's useless and that he loses the ball all the time, he was very poor against arsenal but thought he was excellent vs Man U, hope he can find consistency and this season or next prove his worth.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he is an excellent young player who just needs to be developed and gain experience, so he knows when to run with the ball and when to pass or cross. He is just a kid and will be good for us in time.}

19 Sep 2015 09:09:49
Hi eds and red fans got a question for you a what age do you'd think is best to take my son to a match he's only two at minute I think he's a bit young yet thinking about a cup game were there's a bit more atmosphere what age do youse with experience with this think ??
Thanks

With you there, OG. I was thinking about paying $1500 to travel with a group to come to Anfield from the States in early next year. If people like think I'm going to blow that dosh to come watch the dross we are seeing now under BR, then they must be smoking the John W Henry stuff.

I took my son to his 1st game when he was 2. He knew 6/7 Liverpool songs but when he ran out of chants he started singing 'wheels on the bus'. The kop found it quite funny but I'd say it was a few years too soon mate haha

I just watched Liverpool's greatest moments I'm gutted I never got to see a team like that (I'm 20) I loved it when they all sang before the Roma game in the tunnel.

Kenny said at the end about how that team was so good because they were all so close is what you need in a team. Basically we need more then anything some passion,team work (no one makes runs or moves into space) and we need strong leaders in that group.

Bring Evans back and allow him to build a new boot room mentality with his own coaching staff
There's absolutely no reason why that format can't be a success in the modern age

Evans had his chance mate. I seen him at the WestHam game sat with that lass from the LFC channel. He was shaking his head I like Roy he's Liverpool red through and through

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - he had no chance with Moores as owner.}

19 Sep 2015 20:09:16
Id have him back in an instant. He knows more about football than the likes of rogers ever will. He was probably one good player from getting the League as manager. He is Red through and through, and a great guy.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Sep 2015 20:31:00
I just want a manager who knows what he's doing and who plays the type of football that will be so painful to my eyes, heart and brain.
