Van Der Wiel, any interest?

20 Apr 2012 23:16:59
Hi eds, any news on players coming in?
Soldado?
Muniain?
Cheers mate!

20 Apr 2012 23:13:37
Sup Eds, what do you think about some of the reserves stepping up to the 1st team towards the end of this season?
Suso put in a fantastic display against united reserves with John Henry apparently watching, would love to see him get some game time soon, seeing as we have nothing to play for in the league (other than some sort of pride)

Cheers.

Just quick question for the eds
Alot of the top prem club like arsenal, Chelsea, spur ect...
Send young players on loan to other prem club like Wiltshire for example to gain experience... But Liverpool don't seem tonloan to other prem clubs.
I was wandering if you could give any insight into why this is?
Thanks
Rickblfc...

Utd do it every season eg cleverly diouf macheda de laet

Great raid we had on the Chelsea page ricky, really got under their skin mate.
AnfieldUSA

We haven't had anyone in the same age bracket who was good enough, honestly.

McSnuggles

Thats a good point mr snuggles. But I thought mabee shelvey and Wilson would of benafited more from staying in the top flight with say Wigan or Bolton mabee. But that just my opinion. Or were we obliged to send them on loan to Blackpool as part of the Adam deal?

Didn't sign rickblfc...

Sebastian Leto, former red, 25, has scored 16 goals in 17 appearences this season for Panathanaikos. I know the Greek League isn't a patch on the Premier League but it is nice to see ex-liverpool players doing well.

This player from spain looks pretty good!

Fernando Torres - 81 Liverpool Goals 2007 to 2011
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3JUdryT9zI&feature=related

Fowler99

Hmmm he looks pretty good at his peak - only problem is that since he swapped his red shirt for a blue one he has scored 4 goals in 41 appearances. This means that, despite playing with lesser players, Kevin Davies is a better striker on recent form.

cozinoz

He's rubbish, we're not gonna get top 4 signing players like this

Martin

Rather have Heskey!

Tekneek

Carlos tevez takes a six month break but still has more goals than torres this season
:-)

amar

Torres was great for the reds but he forgot, that we made him look good e.g stevie gees' passes to him and raffas' use of his talent , do not slag him off lfc got 50mil for him and do you know if he did want to go or was he forced out like babble?, if he was still here we would not have hit the post/bar so often
and would i think be in the top 4. red mick tag

Theres no way he would have hit the woodwork as much if he was still here - he'd never get that close to scoring

Hey Eds, Ive been wandering for some time now.. do you know Liverpool's wage list, or ay leat our top 3 earners and with ow much? {Ed001's Note - Gerrard is top earner on, I think off the top of my head, 135k, Johnson is right up there on 90k. I don't have my notes any more to find the wages, so I really wouldn't want to go into any others, as I would be guessing. Those two stood out as particularly high earners, I remember that much for definite.}

Maxi's on quite a high wage I believe as well.

Kieran.

20 Apr 2012 21:21:46
Ed the way you answer questions on this sounds like you think Liverpool wont sign anyone why is this ? {Ed001's Note - because you clearly are so biased you assume saying that some of the lunatic suggestions aren't coming is indicative that no one is, possibly?}

20 Apr 2012 20:46:30
Hi eds
Why has the rumours of Soldado died down. Any reasons. Are we still interested? {Ed001's Note - because the transfer window is a way off yet, that's all.}

Roy Hodgsons interview talking about how he will get a bad reception is HEARTBREAKING! Don't boo him for christ sake! He was obviously our worst manager but he did give us some good moments such as the emergence of Lucas! Hodgson helped Lucas immensely and without Hodgson I doubt Lucas would have filled his potential this much.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, Just don't boo him!

BthekingB

I agree don't boo him, but how can you possibly credit him for Lucas's success. That accolade goes to one man, Lucas!! He's the single reason he succeeded and if you think it's just suddenly last year that Lucas was good then you should have opened your eyes sooner.

Papa G

I agree not to boo him but I dont think Lucas was down to hodgson.

Square tomato

Okay, maybe Hodgson shouldn't be given full credit but with his defensive tactics it helped Lucas show what he could do. At the end of 2010 I thought Lucas was going to join Stoke for 4 million and I probably would have been okay with that but the season Hodgson came around he turned into a 10 million pound player and then with Kenny helping him even further a 15 million pound plus!

Lucas should be given most credit obviously, but what I am trying to say is that Hodgson has helped him develop as a defensive player more than Rafa ever could have.

BthekingB

Rafa takes the credit for Lucas.

Lucas was playing the exact same during Hodgson's time as he had in Rafa's last season, just the fans weren't as focused on him anymore. I really can't understand how Hodgson can be credited with Lucas' success when he picked Christian Poulsen, arguably the worst Liverpool player ever, over him on numerous occasions for no apparent reason.

Martin

Toss up between Poulsen and Voronin for worst ever LFC player, while Charlie Adam holds their coats.

Hodgson did not break through Lucas, don't make me Fu*#ing laugh! He had Pepé, Agger and Glen on the verge of leaving the club, do not give this leach any credit for anything that went on during his tenure. He bought a player who was being kept out of the first 11 of the team he played for, by a player we sold to the same team because he couldn't get in our first 11 (Poulsen- Sissoko) and gave Poulsen 60k a week for his troubles. Funny how he never tried taking Poulsen to WBA with him. He hung on like a Mollusc until FSG gave him 7 mil, for 6 months Fu*#ing work as well as the wages he'd already had and some people on here think Benitez had us spending beyond our means.

Poulsen and Voronin? What about Torben Piechnik or even Paul Stewart?

Cuchulainn's Hounds

When Hodgson took over Mascherano had left! Lucas took that mantle and upped his game! So if anyone deserve's the credit for that is Lucas himself! and barring that injury he'd be worth an awful lot more than 15mil

El Hadji Diouf hands down 3 goals in his liverpool career...he spat on more people!

Sean Dundee ....Oh my word, what a player! NOT......lol

Jimmy Carter,Istvan Kozma and Konchesky

Derek

Roy hodgson expects a poor reception because he is guilty of being a pretender he was never good enough to be lfc manager even taking into account that he had no money to spend on stars, his idea of a good player ? carlton cole etc says it all , i won't boo or clap him as i was always miserable going home from anfield after watching us play under his management, he got a good pay off more money than the majority of us will earn in a life time he should count him self lucky and should not expect a good or bad reception. red mick tag.

Erick Miejer?

Would of thought The Fact he's a A 65 yr Old Gentleman may stop him getting booed and a bit of respect!

what are the chances (if any) that we will sign fletcher from wolves or moses from wigan....who would be more likely? cheers

More likely to sign Moses in my opinion. Especially since he is on very low wages and Fletcher is very one dimensional.

Do you think sterling is better than oxlade-chamberlain?

When he beefs up a bit he will be a lot better id say.
kopfiend 1978 ynwa

Not yet no way. The Ox is way more developed. But that is mainly due to the fact he is older and already has 50 senior games under his belt. Maybe in time sterling will be though...

The Liverbird

Potentially he'll carry more attacking threat, but the Ox seems to have more intelligence to his game.

Both could be Englands star wingers in the next few years. Them combined with Wilshire and someone to anchor the midfield, could make a formidable force.

Papa G

Connor coady is the best anchor in the midfield that English youth have got.
AnfieldUSA

I would personally walk to North London and carry the Ox back on my shoulders if given the opportunity. He is top class and is only king to get better. If you're good enough, you're old enough. We've seen it before with Fowler, Owen and Gerrard and also with current LFC transfer wishlist darling Muniain, who is already a veteran of sorts for Bilbao. If Sterling is truly good enough, his introduction is not that far away.

Sterling will be better when he's his age

great website guys. what do u guys and eds think about liverpool's transfer policy?. as a liverpool supporter, i am worried because we are being linked with a lot of british players. we used to have players such as torres, alonso, macherano and babel etc, but now we got players such as downing, adam, flanagan etc. hopefully the players will gel but, it baffles me that we have spent a lot of money on players and yet they haven't produced. if we win the fa cup then i would say that our season has been ok. i know that we ain't got champions league football next year, but surely there are players out there, who would want to play for us. what do u guys think?. thank u and i apologize for a long comment. {Ed001's Note - I really don't see it as an issue, where the players come from matters nothing to me. If they are brought in young and taught to play our style of play, it should make no difference.}

We didn't pay nearly as much for adam as masch, babel and alonso. Downing iis better than Babel and Flanagan wasn't bought at all. Lucas was bad when he first joined but he came good. Who is to say that Adam, Hendo, Flanagan, Downing, Carroll etc. etc. won't come good?

BthekingB

Adam is total dogsh1t, face up to that one and move on.

If we have genuine aspirations of getting back into the top 4 / CL, let's not kid ourselves about that joke of a player.

I don't see why Charlie gets this kind of hate already, he was trying to play above his means when he's best at his game and moving to a big club starstruck him. Give him next season after he recuperates from his season-ending injury and get comfortable. He can turn a game with a sweeping pass a la to Glen vs Chelski in that wonderful game and he knows how to find the net with both feet. Just unlucky with his pens (bad form), etc.

McSnuggles

I thought Moses was so overrated and then realised he is only 21.

He is the type of player Fergie would buy and turn into a world beater,

Evered

Lmao? Just cos hes from Wigan and he is a winger? I hate how football fans piece together similarities of pointless carp like that.

You're obviously referring to Valencia.

BthekingB

I like Moses and rated him from his Palace days. He will be a top player one day, I would buy him any day.

So Cecil knew better than the managers we had can't agree with u on this one ed most young players go through difficult spells surely the club should help them through this rather than ditching them especially to replace them with 1 who was cursed with injuries and 2 pay over 4 mil for a player who was not good enough for the red shirt just another occasion when purslow got above his station for me ed

Kopman {Ed001's Note - sorry but you have lost me, what are you talking about??? Nothing you are saying makes any sense.}

Sorry ed it was in reply to the insua post before, thought I done the reply to post button obviously not and Cecil being purslow which I thought was common knowledge, as it was he who wanted rid of insua

Really looking forward to the FA cup final! Its been too long.. 2006 repeat anyone? or would you rather win it in less spectacular fashion haha!

I dont care if we win via a goal off carrols ass hitting every chelsea player on the way haha but would like to see a good solid preformance and good game of footy

Spanish league is better than premiership.Reason is because their game is based on TECHNICALITY whilst the english game is all about PHYSICALITY.thoug some technically sound players are present in the premier league but not as much compared to the spanish league.this is the reason why the WORLD FOOTBALLER YEAR TITLE mostly emerges from the spanish league. NOTE:i am an avid supporter of the premier league;dont get me wrong is just my opinion.

True but it is worth mentioning that most of the foreign players that come to England end up far better players for it eg alonso silva ronaldo fabregas aguero

It is also worth mentioning that the majority of players who have played la liga and prem tend to say that the prem is best league due to excitement and unpredictability

Most of the foreign players do not end up better for it at all. Most of the foreign players that come to this country go to small teams, most of them not even Premier League. You wil never even have heard of most of them. In for a couple of years and straight back out again. RED LENIN

Yeah..u have two super powers..in real and barca...and then 16 championship teams..who never reaches the group stages in CL...apart from eral and barca..can u name a single team who has reached the final????? {Ed002's Note - Valencia a couple of times. Atletico.}

Haha just had a little look on the spurs site
Through boredom and a poster on there reckons
They will get our pepe haha made me giggle
Rickblfc....

Some Chelsea supports says that they'll get Suarez. And a arsenal fan thought that they should sign him aswell.
AnfieldUSA

You do realize that those clubs you mentioned are currently much better than liverpool.

CnM

Spurs and Arsenal have been trophyless for how long now?

Red Owl

You do realize that those player want to win trophies

Arsene Wenger when questioned about another trophyless season said and I quote "it could be worse we could be Liverpool" well mr Wenger possibly a second trophy in our cabinet and we will see you in the europa league next season after you get knocked out of the champs league.

Football Update: Manchester United have been awarded a penalty ahead of this weekend's game against Everton.

They don't have to, everton are so bitter that they hand them the 6 points on purpose every year.

Yes in advance. So that nun of their players has to dive. Yup you too mr. Young

And everton a first half red card for a mr young dive

Liverpool Vs West Brom

Reina
Johnson
Agger
Skrtel
Enrique
Bellamy
Spearing
Gerrard
Downing
Kuyt
Suarez

Carroll

Feel Carroll should play, build on what has been done last two games. More confidence

If u just notice it. Just look at this team. I mean i know they are no messis n ronaldos in it but, suarez, gerrard, agger, raina, bellamy, johnson,n even downing has been sending some good crosses.
I mean how on earth this team cant beat the likes of QPR, WOLVS .i know this is not a league winner or world beater team. But a repecteble 4-5. We guys always moan abt signings every fan does. But is that the reason we are 8th?

We did beat Wolves, twice.

Red Owl

What i wanted to say was its just not the team. Its the coatching staff and manager that are failing to make a team out of it. They dont know what the best formatiom is, what the right combination is.. Just look at newcastle or swansea. Worki on their top gear.

Carrol shud play. he has scored two goals in consecutive matches. Why leave him out when he is hitting form?
Indian Buzzer

And I quote: "Andy carrol is good enough for a mid table team, not liverpool......he is not gonna make the grade here, thats pretty much obvious.¨" - ¨Indian Buzzer

Been reflecting... I think 5th place and very close to 4th would be a better season. Let me explain.

Top 4 means that either Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City or Man Utd have to finish below us. You can also add Spurs if they get in Champs League, if so, they'll retian Bale and Modric and buy more... All the others will strengthen with quality because they have cash and the attraaction of C.League footy.

So, I honestly think 5th place within 3-6pts of 4th would be a better season. And a break through with some of the quality youngsters. Not what we want, but better than this season.... before you shout, we are currently 13pts off 4th place!

Next season i want us to be challenging for the title! Not setting our target's for 5th being 3/6 point's off 4th! The owner's know this and need to rectify the situation otherwise they will keep losing money!

Can I clarify - better, meaning, not a disaster!

Have you ever heard of SMART targets son shine... Every team in the Premiership wants to challenge for hte title. Liverpool should be challenging because we are Liverpool but realistically... a 5th place just a few points behind 4th would be an improvement but target should be at least top 4!

Utd., City, Arsenal & Chelsea will all strengthen this summer... I can't see us getting the same ready made stars like Aguero, Tevez, Silva, Mata etc.

With 5 games to go we are 13pts behind 4th and 36pts behind 1st and you say - I hope we're challenging for the title!

So how do we make that gap up? Are the owners going to bank roll silly money wages to get those proven top players, urm, NO! And if you do get them, they take time to settle as City found out!

I think we can challange for 4th but if we just miss it then it won't be a disaster of a season!

To be fair though, Dowing could start crossing to players who can score, Carroll could start scoring goals, and all will be merry and bright!

Idiot...fans like you are everything that is wrong with us atm, whats wrong with you?

You think the owners or kenny or stevie g or the board will be happy with 5th next year?

4th was the minimum expectation for this season let alone next season you bonehead.

We aint Everton or Villa we're liverpool...if we dont get top 4 next year heads will roll.

Son shine? you sound like my dad and i dont really know him! Anyway you did say next season! 3/6 point's off 4th would'nt be a bad season! An improvement you said! Well me and thousand's of fan's would beg to differ! And the owner's would agree! As the poster just above me shout's we're LFC and expect it!

20 Apr 2012 18:06:41
why all this talk of people like Sterling getting kicked in the prem.....have you watched it lately...I thought theyd outlawed tackling....Im saying its the skillful tricky players who are doing best in the prem nowadays.......give the lad a go, at that age he'll be bursting out his skin to play and do well, I dont get this protection thing, they always say some players end up to coin a phrase 'burnt out'....but thats a phrase invented by the media....footballers play in fits and starts, the best ones have more better days than the average ones....thats the difference at the top level as their nearly all fit enough these days.

Why do Barca always seem to beat Real then?

cozinoz
**********************************
Because Real don't have defenders like Terry, Cahill, and Cole. That's why.

Or a striker who can hold the ball up like Drogba.
**************************************
Cant believe an actual Chelsea fan believes what they have wrote and they call us deluded, Ramos is 10 times all 3 of the players you mentioned...Pathetic

MJ

As an lfc fan Ramos is rash and hot headed he is not reliable

Ramos, Arbeloa, Pepe and co are slightly overrated mate. Ramos especially so (being a defender who can't defend).

Are they going to stop Messi scoring for 2 games! Very very unlikely

Lyndon

As an LFC fan, I have to say the notion that Sergio Ramos is 10 times better than basically the entire England defense (as Terry, Cahill and Cole represent) is laughable. Anyone who watches football recognizes that defense is the weakest part of the Real team. That's why Bayern just beat them. That's why Barca usually beat them.

If Chelsea score against Barca, they will go through, because they defend better than Real. That's reality. Get over it.

The Chelsea hatred is getting OTT, tiresome, and does not do LFC credit.

They get beaten because unlike Chelsea they at least try to have a go or the manager would get slaughtered even more than he does now by the Spanish media.

It's understandable from Chelsea's viewpoint, but really no excuse for a team so expensively assembled, with so many world class players, to throw ten men behind a ball for 90 minutes at home, good luck at the Nou Camp!

Wait a minute, so how do Liverpool beat Chelsea, huh?

Liverpool tend to only play the players they want to sell up front and everyone else is told to stay back this way Chelsea buy them , next game we will play with 6 up front

By scoring more goals and actually trying to score goals not just sitting back, check the stats for said games. Think we've scored 6 in our last 4 games against Chelsea and how many have they scored in return? Don't compare The Liverpool-Chelsea axis to that of Chelsea-Barca because there is no comparison.

Real were not "going for it" against Bayern. They sat deep and played for a 1-1 draw. They failed; defense not their strong suit. Both Spanish teams in danger of going out of CL.

No its because real madrid dont play with 10 defenders

20 Apr 2012 16:53:29
Eds and fellow fans, in your opinion what size stadium could Liverpool fill and therefore make economic sense as we would not want a brand new stadium or redevelped anfield which is not full every game?

Killerpool {Ed001's Note - impossible to say, it depends on ticket prices and numerous other factors.}

Liverpool could easily fill a 75 000 seater week in week out

I think that if we had a 75k+ and a successful team it would be sold out every game! If the owner's spent big on the stadium and team they would reap the reward's! Financially and LFC successfully!

65,000 tops, no need at all for 75k, it would be half empty every time a title challenge falls apart.

But having spent big on the team! a bigger 12th man and our never say die spirit we'd be challenging most year's! Bigger stadium + better player's = success!

E.insua 4th goal in 10 european games from left back for sporting lisbon, described by commentator ad best player on the pitch. Sold by lfc for 0.5m. Lfc spend 4.5m on p.konchesky and give f.aurelio new 2year contract to fill left back position. All thanks to our saviour mr purslow! 5 of 8 euro semi finalists this year are spanish. Always new it was good idea to lose our iberian influence and go british!!

Mr beans

I think I was in the minority, but I thought the lad had potential - as long as you kept hiding his knife and fork! Thought at least a handy squad player, but you never know the price of his contract etc. Nick. {Ed001's Note - he was moved because of his eating, not his ability when he wasn't so over weight. He failed to meet weight targets that were set, it became a disciplinary matter and he was allowed to move on. As has been shown, it was better for all concerned that he moved to a country with a different culture and way of eating. Insua has learnt a lesson and hopefully he will continue to have a career that goes onwards and upwards. But it wouldn't have happened if he had stayed with us.}

Seems the norm at LFC with a lot of talented youngsters hey Ed? (moving on and doing very well that is - not becoming porkers). {Ed001's Note - such as? I don't see any around the Prem or Europe who have proven the club wrong.}

I didn't want Paul Anderson, Adam Hamill, Tom Ince, Lauri Dalle Valle, Kristian Nemeth, Kacakniclic, Ryan Flynn, Gary Mackay Steven, Gerardo Bruna amongst others to leave the club but looking at them now, am I really bothered. players come and go, but in the end I want whats best for the club.

I wonder what dish he found in Liverpool that was so damned tasty? Too much scouse? Or just the local kebab shop? It can't b found easilly in Lisbon anyway! Nick. {Ed001's Note - fast food mate, they eat a lot more fresh fruit and veg in Iberia.}

Igor biscan as player manager, director of football and centre forward. Scrap the other 10 just stick Igor out there and watch him eat them up

At this rate the academy will be better than the first team!

Such an easy solution. Just chuck the youngsters in and everything will be hunky dory... Did you watch the next gen games (as opposed to them looking wonderful beating hudderfield town 3-1)?

Reality is prob only 2 or 3 will ever play for the first team.

Hi Eds. this is not a dig at Chelsea, but a concern Liverpool are not getting treated fairly. There has been no mention from the FA about the disrespect shown by a section of Chelsea fans on Saturday.

There has been no mention of the difficulty many fans face travelling by rail on the 5th to the Capital. not even a false sympathetic note of any kind.
They could try to speak to the rail company and see if any concessions could be maid. but who gives a s**t about us?

No one has come out of the parasite dwelling to answer the fans anger over the disgusting ticket allocation.
they are a F***ing disgrace and shame our game. they dare criticise FIFA. MP's should call for action for the improper behaviour from this group of bandits.

Lastly all fans in This country need to make their voices heard over how we are treated. IT's ok being smug now ,if you have been lucky enough to get a ticket for this years final. but what if you're no so lucky next time?

I apologise to all posters who care, having to read this rant.
Red Robin {Ed002's Note - Chelsea apologised for the behaviour of the fans - do you want some retribution of some type? Obviously the FA cannot control rail maintenance nor who gets to the final. The ticket allocation is a major issue that has been going on for some years. Much of the problem goes back to when Wembley was 100k and sadly it is the fans that have lost out due to the reduced capacity rather than sponsors, other clubs etc..}

The fa is apparently supply coach transport there and back for liverpool fans, but i agree the allocation is a joke, i know its a massively inferior competition but i went to Wembley to watch Swindon in the Johnston's paint trophy final and our allocation was 35,000, the FA need to sort their act out

Ali

To Ali....I don't expect The Fa to provide transport you little comic you. However they have known for 18 months of the maintenance that needs to be carried out. so they could have co-operated with the rail company and made the travelling to the game a dam site easier.
Apparently, Richard Branson has asked The FA to change the Kick off time.
He said he has offered the FA lots of ways to help the situation a long time time ago and has urged them to make the kick off 3pm. he also stated The FA cup have moved the time to 5.15pm to benefit commercially at the expense of the fans.
So Ali my friend the FA are partly to blame for the travel chaos that waits the fans.

Ed02 i would like to make it perfectly clear I am not of a bitter disposition and retribution is far from my mind. I just believe in equality for everyone. man woman and child whatever the circumstances are. I don't believe Liverpool have been treated with equality.
You are quite right in saying Chelsea have condemned the culprits and have said they will take action against them.
But the FA have said nothing.
They have punished and criticised Liverpool for various things this season so be consistent and act straight away particularly with subjects of such
sensitivity.
I would like to add, i am well ware that there are bad fans at every club and i am not attacking Chelsea F.C. I am asking the FA to say something at least. Just to say they recognise it was a disgrace and will not tolerate this behaviour from any fan.
Red Robin

Red Robin, i wasn't suggesting thats what you wanted, all i was saying is that they are trying to do something to ease the issues. i agree that they shouldn't be in this position in the first place as the maintenance works have been planned for a number of years. i agree completely that by moving the kick off from the traditional 3pm the FA has ignored the potential problems of the fans in favour of the comercial gain to themselves. i am not trying to justify their actions in any way, i think what they have done is a disgrace, i was just trying to point out that they are finally attempting to do something.

There is many double standards, didnt see any mention of the disgusting behaviour in the media {Ed002's Note - It was covered in the media so it is spite or paranoia that you are suffering.}

Why does everyone always suggest Matt Phillips.?
I've never heard of him.
Anyone care to enlighten me?

Shouldn't you try and research/check out players yourself, otherwise how will you be able to formulate an opinion.

Tommy Walsh

Blackpool winger. Quick, two good feet. I'm take him in a heartbeat!

Lee YNWA

Cheers tommy, you must be a right laugh in the pub

Cp

He's not exactly doing wonders for blackpool

Spoke to a couple of Blackpool fans who insist Ince is playing better than Philipps since he has been there - yes Ed001 - I know u disagree. But imo another talented youngster who slipped away. If it was about money, then how can Blackpool afford him? {Ed001's Note - give it a rest with your whines about young players that have been let go. Ince is not good enough. None of the youngsters we have got rid of have gone on to prove the club wrong. Try making up a list of all these greats who have slipped through the net.}

I remember a lot of young players leaving and saying why did we let them go, but honestly i can't think of one that shot to super stardom since. so trust in the management team, they know best.

Kevin Nolan and Danny Guthrie only ones who done well but honestly shows we have had a rubbish youth policy .Everton have constantly developed more players and we tend to not even give our youngsters a fair crack.

Everton have made 1 superstar, liverpool many

So far so good our season has witnessed the good ,bad and ugly. The good in the sense that we are excelling in the cup competitions;the bad in the sense that we have struggled with a couple of injuries to some of our key players in the course of the season;the ugly in the sense that we are about to witness one of the lowest finish to a premier league season for a long while. What i'm trying to point out is that our players have not been up to standard except for agger, skrtel and suarez. The main point now is where do we need to strengthen most?.For me we need at least two midfielders(creative and defensive),an outright winger and a goal poacher. This is okay by me and come next season we will be firing on all cylinders.your thoughts are appreciated.

Yeah I agree with you, it has been a strange season, but like you said I do not think we are too far away, get Lucas back, get gerrard in a full pre season, a right winger and a striker is the main for me, a lot of home games we get the ball out wide but no one is capable of beating a man and whipping a ball in. Once we do that we will start turning our draws into wins.

G BOX

I know there is all sort of players needed. A next young SG, cover for lucas, and all but i just want us to go for two natural strong forwards. Even if we have to break the bank.(lol but another carroll). See in midfield and defense we do good enough if not the best. We just need Lots of goals. Thats it . See at the end of the day all that matters is goal.sure we need to strengten all team. But farwards we need most. To be a goal scoaring threat there has to be a group of players who understand and match eachother like nasri-silva-aguero. The point is single handedly suarez no matter how hard he tries cant work. And player around him are far behind him. There hasnt been any understandin between them. Thats why we arent scoaring

Can I ask what you think we're not too far away from? (that's not sarcasm but a genuine question)

The ugly not Suarez, Kuyt, Kelly, Spearing, Adam, Skittle, Carroll?

Everyone know's that we've had a bad league proformance this term and that some of the new signings have not been upto scratch, but I honestly think that they will be stronger next year and with a few additions like a young right winger, a goal scoring forward and a midfilder that can tackle and pass a bll more than 3 yards teh we'll be near enough. Your thoughts

I agree with you .

Matt Phillips, Soldado and hernanes wud be the players i wud go for.

It baffles me when people say this player or that player is not ready for the premier league. That is utter nonsense if you ask me why because if players such as messi,neymar,hazard,muniain....Just to mention a few were not integrated into the first team at their early stage ,who would have thought they have such talent. My point is GIVE THE YOUNG LADS A CHANCE TO PROVE THEMSELVES.

It's not baffling it's mostly common sense... You can't compare messi, Neymar etc to every youth as everyone develops deifferently...

Would you like Suso and Sterling to start playing now and at the age of 26 to end up with injuries every other week due to being burnt out, look at people like Michael Owen!

That's why people like me believe you just need to let them fully grow before they play week in week out...

G BOX

And you base your presumption on what? As if you look at utd they believe if they are good enough there old enough, just look at Giggs, and rooney to name but a few started very young and still going strong, so ye we are not wanting to burn them out but wat is the harm in givin them a run on the bench or in the starting 11 for the last few games

Agree with G BOX and don't forget Neymar, Messi etc were brought up in different, less physical leagues and so strength didn't play such an important role! These players, like Suso and Sterling will get their time in the first time, just need patience! Remember Sterling in Nextgen semi, he didn't do quite as well, but he will in time. He even admits to needing help with his final ball, although I don't think it's that bad. I've even heard fans say start Sterling in the FA Cup final! What, against Chelsea's defence, although last 15 minutes maybe!

They'll also get their minutes in the Europa League next season, which will also help their progress. It's also good to blood youngsters in a confident winning team, like we've done before, but that's not always possible I know.

Keith

Exactly G BOX, Owen has spent the last 5-6 years injured due the his mismanagement at a young age, To much, to young has an impact while players are still developing! The medical staff and coaches have a far better understanding of this than 99% of the general public.

Cp

Ahoy!

Listen, playing youngsters week and week out is not good for them long term but thats is not the problem with Liverpool, Liverpool are not even giving enough chance for youngster to make cameo appearance or so. Players like Sterling, Suso deserved to get few minutes in two or three matches a month.
I am sure 10-15 minutes appearance once or twice a month won't burn them out.

Bosco

I agree with bosco up to a point i do think giving some of the more promising youngsters the odd runout would be beneficial but the problem is our league form has been so patchy this season we haven't really had a chance to do that, if we were coasting through games 3 or 4 nil with 15 mins to go then yes give suso, sterling etc a run but we're fighting for every result for the whole 90 mins in nearly every game this season so i can understand why it hasn't happened but in saying that with champs league out the window i would like to see them get some game time. we have to remember as well though that the higher up the league we finish the more tv revenue we get so although were prob not gonna catch 6th we do have to make sure we get above everton and not let the teams close behind catch us so that could be influencing the fact that we are sticking with more senior players as well

I think dagleish , clark and the management/ coaching staff who watch them all of the time in training will know better than us as to when they are ready to get thrown in. just my view

Our U19s reached the semi-finals of the NextGen Series this season and Dalglish is delighted with the work being done by Benitez's appointments.

"I think it's been fantastic and it's a great credit to the changes that Rafa made three years ago, bringing in Pep, Rodolfo and Frankie," the gaffer told LFC TV after helping to welcome 22 new under-8 players to the Academy on Thursday.

"The way it has moved forward is a credit to anyone who has helped in any way, shape or form.

"It was Rafa who brought these people in and we should always be grateful to him for doing that.

"In years to come, if we get some players through it, I'm sure he'll be just as proud as any of the players are. And he should be proud about what he's set up here."

Welcome back Rafa.

DaveyBootle

What did I miss?

I would personally love to see Rafa back at Liverpool but is he moving into the DOF role or replacing kk as manager with KK then becoming DOF. Either way Rafa's welcome back anytime. I always wondered what he could do at a club where he had the owners full backing until those previous cowboys

What does this mean? I have looked everywhere for information regarding Rafa.

an american red

Didn't he have the owners backing at Inter? And a highly successful team? What happened there?

cozinoz

Either 'DaveyBootle' has inside contacts or he has inferred this from the article on the LFC official site, in which KK praises tha Academy and Rafa's role in this.

Mr Cozinoz, rafa never had the backing of Massimo Morrati. He was asked to work with the players left behind by Mourinho, n plz dont call that Inter side world class. It was mourinho who won Inter the ucl, not the players. Rafa n mourinho's tactics r completely different n the players refused to adopt rafa's tactics. Moratti refused to sanction moves for sanchez n another player i cant remember, rafa never had the backing of the owner. A bit like AVB at chelski.
Indian Buzzer

Indian Buzzer - so Mourinho won the Champions League for Inter, not the players? I don't recall him scoring any goals or assisting on any either. Did he get his tactics spot on against Barca - yes. But to say he was the only reason they won is buying into the whole "special one" bs.

an american red

Inter milan-champions league and italian league title. rafa then took over while they was still bouyant and won the super cup. he then tried to put his 'tactics' on this team and failed MISERABLY then got sacked. simple truth, simple facts.
people just need to accept it.

His tactics won us the champions league

You know the player I would like LFC to sign....He will be an absolute superstar for us if we can keep hold of him, yes you guessed it sterling. I have watched munian and the likes and they have absolutely nothing over this lad apart from messi. BUt given time this boy could be an absolute monster IF we pull our finger out and start playing him in the first team and make him feel wanted at the club. It would be a sad day for LFC if we mess this one up.
Slimboy

He's tiny and would be found out in the premier league eventually in my opinion. He still needs time. They'll boot him everywhere.

DaveyBootle

Sterling is 17. Munain is 19. They can cover our wing problems for 15 years
AnfieldUSA

I'm not doubting he's a grey player, but then what happens of he comes on and does something similar to Flanagan in the Blackburn game? Will you be calling for his head too? There is a reason he's not in the first team yet and I'm sure when he's ready he'll get played!

Ell.

Ahoy!

Sterling is miles ahead of Flanno in terms of quality plus he plays upfront he want do similar blunders likes that of Flanagan.

I don't rate Flanagan we should be mad to rely on him and allow Johnson to leave.

Bosco

Okay well not necessarily a back pass like Flanagan, but a mistake similarly as important as Flanagans will definitely have people going mad about how young he is. I'm sure he won't mess up, but mistakes happen to everyone.

I think Flanagan has done amazing to be honest. He's young, and was brought straight in to the 1st team to if I remember correctly a Man. City game? Yes, he's only young and we definitely need players over him, but he's someone worth keeping to take that role when he is older/ready.

Thanks, Ell.

Whats all this about confidence? they are hungry, professional competitors, sometimes learning the harder way makes you a better player.

ive been some challenging times growing up it never made me want to give up my ambitions infact it made me want to keep working harder and achieve them.

Im surprised John Henry can afford to fly back and forth! Why didnt he sack DC by email if he is looking to save cash? They are scrapping the mag to save money maybye they should ask fans for ideas to save money. Its great to have owners in place with little or no finacial clout.

Who says he is looking to save cash?

He is looking for people who know what the f*%k they are doing. I think that's obvious.

Well thats good to know! So we have Tom Werner in charge who has a huge football knowledge and loves going to games unless there is a conflicting baseball game and he got the appoitment of Damien Commoli bang on! So yes so far so good. And he is spending like there is no tommorow our wage budget is growing and we are signing world class talent.

If you spend a billion and makes your team more weak than it was last year. Then you don't know what the dock you are doing
DanielDenmark

I dont think we are weaker than last year at all.

Get off of the baseball issue. Fenway Park celebrated 100 years the same weekend we played in the FA Cup semifinal. Not hard to understand why the owners were in Boston that weekend. What is even more funny is if you go to any Red Sox "banter" page they are bitching about LFC & that the owners are more concerned with our club.

an american red

Why can no one understand the reason that our owners chose to watch the baseball rather than the semi. IT WAS THE FIRST GAME OF THEIR SEASON!!!! I'm sure they'll be here to watch the final

Exactly what I was thinking, American Red. But all the petty gripes will end when the two fanbases get together for a few million pints of beer.

JB

Today is the official "100 Years of Fenway" celebration, and I know of at least one Red Sox fan who is currently sporting a "No. 2, Wembley 1978" t-shirt, so anything is possible.

JB - I actually drink quite a few pints with some Red Sox fans & they have no issue with FSG owning LFC. It appears to be the minority of uneducated/uniformed "fans" that feel this way. Having lived in Florida for the past 5 years it would amaze you to hear the Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans constantly complain about the Glazers giving all of their money to MUFC. I always pour fuel on the fire when dealing with those types.

I must admit I hate United with a passion mainly because of their "plastic" fans. The ones who don't come from Manchester but come from the back of beyond, who have all the shirts but never go the games but are always on my case when Liverpool lose. Most Premier league teams have them but United seemed to have more than their fair share of idiots

Steve YNWA

You absolute hypocrite, who else other then us has huge and amazing support from all the corners of the world, what about all of your irish and welsh fans? Please think before you type, a bit of banter is good but we have had some absolute idiots on our site recently making the intelligent people of your lot seem very low in supply. I recall there being one of your fans called "indian buzzer" Steve, what is you complete bulls**t take on him then mate?

Gotta agree with JWalk - Liverpool have as many fans outside of Liverpool as united do. There are plenty of reasons to dislike manutd but thats not a particularly smart one.

I think the lad is having ago at people who profess to be a massive fan but dont even attempt to get a ticket to go because they cant be bothered and would rather stay in the warmth of there own home. I have to admit they annoy me, its different if you cant afford to go. I gave up my season ticket 4 years ago because a small child appeared who ate my finances but i go when i can nowadays. Its not important where the fan is from tho, just he bothers to turn up. Which puts me onto another point, how do fans from usa, india, germany, wherever, get tickets for Carling cup final, probably FA cup final when a fan from around the corner cant get one!! Madness!!

Steve mate, that is terrible hypocrisy. We too have as many fans from all corners of the globe, probably as many idiots too.

My brother-law has lived in South Africa for the last 35 yrs and is an ardent Liverpudlian. Back in the day when we where all young he always went the match at home and loads of away games with me. He now hasn't seen a live game in all that time in SA.
But through his influence and enthusiasm he has converted 100s-1000s to support Liverpool FC in Johannesburg. He says Match Days at their local sports and social are now packed and a sea of red and white. He see's himself as some sort of LFC Missionary lol :) And thinks their support and love of the Club is no different to any other.
kidmillions

I'm going to defend this lad. I got slated on here for posting a similar comment. The club and supporters (especially myself) embrace the global fan-base and world-wide support and long may it continue and increase. What does bother me though is that the attitude and mentality of certain supporters. It appears that many people jumped on the glory days band-wagon (as they did UTD) and don't quite grasp nor understand the concept of truly supporting your team. It makes sense that football fans of a country without a true recognised football league i.e (Wales and Ireland) should reach out and grab hold of a club to share in the highs-and-lows of football glory, yet the idea of following a club from other parts of England while your local club suffers as a consequence of lack of local fans is the reason why so many of our historic clubs are crushing under the weight of the Premier league, and this is what I feel uncomfortable with. The people of Merseyside made our club through their loyal support throught the grim days of post-war Britain and dockland strikes and sang and contributed to the historical success, and any supporter from outside the area has always been made welcome. It is the people and supporters from around the UK and the globe who continue to contribute in our times of difficulty and keep our club ticking along. Yet, our attitudes are not always the same. I worked in Salford for many years with Utd season ticket holders who were also frustrated with a similar scenario. Roy Keane sumned it up perfectly. Everyone deserves to have their own opinion...yet some people just don't 'get-it'. The people of Liverpool (and Salford and Manchester for that matter) are proud and loyal people in which the majority will support everything the club stands for. As for some of the posters and comments on here with a sickening attitude of disresepect and naiveity sums it up really.

I can't go to the games as again I can't afford to go and don't watch that many on the tv as I work as a chef so does it make me a plastic fan I think not. So I think that's a very harsh analasis to be fair. Also when I have had a chance to mabee go I find tickets very hard to come by... So if u fancy giving up your ticket so I can go then brilliant!!! So I will keep wearing my lfc tops and supporting the team with pride even if idiots like you say I'm a plastic fan
Rickblfc...

Thanks kidmillions, and others who realise there are many supporters world wide who just can't go to games. I've been an avid LFC supporter since the seventies, growing up in York. I now also live in South Africa. I arrange my whole weekends around being able to watch the match. I also buy official merchandise. Less of a supporter? Not in my books, or the books of many of my fellow supporters down here. We sit in the pub and discuss tactics, performances, goals, the table, memories... Those of you who think we are less of a supporter, should we go away, forget the club? Can we not add value? Tell you what, we are not going away! We will be forever supporters!

Western Cape Red

I live in New Zealand so for me to attend a game it would cost about 10 grand. So because i cant get to a game does that make mea plastic? I get up at 2am to watch Liverpool live on tv, am i still a plastic? I have supported Liverpool ever since i can remember and havent 'jumped on the glory bandwagon' as i am only 18. I think your a bit of a fool mate and why segregate your own fellow fans? Thats beyond idiotic!
KiwiRed

Im from Sweden and ive supported LFC since i was a kid, actually LFC is the reason i got into fotball to begin with.. I own 3 jerseys scarfs signs and cups, LFCtv account.. I buy mainly to help the finances of the club, i have yet to atend a game.. But 1000 is not something i got laying around, even know iv saved up and will be on the kop next season.
Point is that is fans like me that lift us from the bounch of randoms club, the local fans are the spinn, but with only theese we would never afford players the club needs.
So think again

The Rob

Couple of things to add....
from the original post - rival fans are always going to give you stick when we lose. And i give my friends some grief when their sides lose. Part of being a supporter.
About chosing a side that isn't your local team - a bit difficult sometimes to reason with a six year old about who to support! I had parents who weren't interested in footie in the slightest (although with my years of support my mum is now a Liverpool fan). Liverpool was my No1 team, but i did trudge off down to York City as a boy on a weekend to stand on the terraces and get my fill of live footie. Ai Ai, maybe i'm not a true supporter of LFC? Nope, I AM! Whatever the reason I started being a red back in the day i have the team deep in my heart. I try and understand the passion of a local red (even if i may never fully know what it means to grow up down the street), and understand the highs and lows of the club history. The services i have been lucky enough to watch on LFCTV from Anfield have filled me with pride in the people and a sorrow for those who have been affected by Hillsborough. At over 40 i am more in to the club than ever and will continue to be. And i will see you at Anfield again one day!
Western Cape Red

I get up sometimes twice a week at 3am to watch Liverpool play and then work at 6am. I used to drive to the casino 7 miles away to watch these matches before I started paying for sattelite tv. I pay the money, I spend the time, I have supported Liverpool for 33 years, if I could go to the actual games I would. Nothing plastic about my love for Lfc mate.
I just wish I could spell sattelite.

cozinoz

Wow bet he dident expect that sort of reply haha. Lfc till i die. STEMLOCC1

I think what he's saying is that he hates peo who support Man Utd because of their commercial 'brand' in the same way they would prefer Adidas trainers. They don't really care, just say they support 'em cus they tend to win more than the others. I have to say, it's hard enough getting stick from a proper Man Utd fan if they beat us, but I do find it harder to take from someone who won't even watch match of the day. P.S. I was born in Canada, currently living in the uk, about to move to Spain - will try and recruit as many Spanish as I can to LFC (although we actually have a fair few due to the Rafa connection). Nick.

Basically there are two sets of fans

First are the ones who choose their club...They may or may not stick around...Depends on the kind of person they are....

Now on to the second category.... For some fans YOU DONT CHOOSE THE CLUB BUT THE CLUB CHOOSES YOU.... You cant escape then and your emotions, activities and time get attracted to the club...It doesnt matter where you are, though the local fans of the club will always be ahead of the others, no matter what, since they are the soul of the club and are part of the club and the soceity....

But as a fan not living in the same city/country/continent as my club doesnt make me a lesser fan.......I will always pour my emotions to the club and will supoort it with all my heart.....

I have to sleep at around 3.30 at night, up to watch football matches, and then report to work @ 9.30 next morning...Thats the sacrifice I have to make but I dont regret and love every moment of it whether we win or lose.........

LiverBird

I was lucky to get onto the pitch during the summer when I was a kid and from that moment the I was reeled in hook, line, sinker. Will never forget that feeling. First thing I did when I moved to Canada was find out which networks broadcast the Premier League as there was no way I could live without seeing Liverpool games. And as I tell anyone who asks why I support Liverpool, I just tell them it's in the blood. Trying to do the same now as Kidmillion's Brother-in-law here in Calgary - broadening the fanbase...

There is something that have come to my notice.Whenever players plying their trade in the german league comes to the premier league they have always excel(ballack, demba ba and now demba cisse ),just to mention but a few.My point is we should be looking in the direction of the german league and scout for good players there. And before i go may i bring to your attention that there will be 4 teams qualifying from the german league to champions league this season compared to 3 as of last season. This shows you the improvement of the league.THIRD BEST LEAGUE IN THE WORLD NOW.

Good point, it is a strong league where also the style and pace is quite simular to the Premier League but I would never have said that Ballack ever 'excelled' during his time in England for his standards. But there are currently some brilliant players plying their trade in Germany at the moment.
Kev79

Wasn't voronin from the german league?

MIKEY

Personally I thought Ballack was ordinary in the PL

I think it more comes down to the the way their german team plays in comparison to the way their new english team will play. i mean the outstanding cb partnership of hummles and subotic would look dreadful playing in the high line villas boas tactics

Hi Eds & Reds,

@ G Box, your grand mate, I agree with you to a certain extinct, but how will we ever know if they are not given a chance?

So okay, if they didnt make the step, they would know to what they would have to do in order to get there. We'll never know unless we try.

I too would like us to start reaping the rewards of our youth set up and it will happen

A few players to think about for the summer transfer period... Soldado (ST), luuk De Jong (ST), Gaston Ramirez (CF/Wing), Moses (ST/Wing), Moussa Sissoko (CM-holding and attacking)... The three areas which if asked to be fixed - attackers, wingers and central midfield (which even then doesn't need to much adjustment).

Now, if Liverpool were to sign any of these players I personally think we would be investing well. It is just the price at which these players come for and their wages, as well as the availability in certain positions.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but what do you all think of these signings if they were to happen!

Scoot

Could Moses be the man to lead us to the promised land?

Promised land? Where's that? Wales?

Chelsea can knock out Barca. Inter did it playing with same strategy as Chelsea used on Wed. It's obvious Chelsea (ie Terry) talked to Mourinho about it.

Barca are very good, but predictable. They don't have the variety of attack that Real have (long range goals, short range goals, fast breaks, etc). I expect Chelsea to take them down to the wire next week.

As a Reds fan, I hope Chelsea go through. That will benefit us immensely in the FA Cup final. At the end of the day, I want us to win the Cup far more than I want Chelsea to not win the CL.

No doubt Drogba's antics leave a bad taste in your mouth. But Barca are no better when things are not going their way. They just happen to be media darlings so they are given a pass.

Why do Barca always seem to beat Real then?

cozinoz

Because Real don't have defenders like Terry, Cahill, and Cole. That's why.

Or a striker who can hold the ball up like Drogba.

Think there "Media Darlings," on merit unlike some? As they play amazing football and for all the attention Messi gets from defenders, I have never once seen him cheating, rolling around feigning injury conning penalties. Messi is not only the best player in the World he's also one of the most honest. Unlike some other lesser big name players at other clubs, which I'm sure we can all think of a few? Where it's now becoming second nature to cheat and worse still I suspect actually encouraged by their Clubs.
kidmillions

Or a striker who can hold the ball up like Drogba.....

lol OR should we say..a striker who can fall on the ground like uncle drogba.

Barcelona are getting in lifeguards for the return leg!!!

Barca are the masters ar diving with real madrid a close second . drogba just playing them at their own game . i hope chelsea do them and yes i am a liverpool fan

Chelsea have to score to progress.
Thats it. No two ways about it.

If Chelsea dont score, I dont see them progressing.

LiverBird {Ed002's Note - Chelsea progress if it i

Yes but inter won their home leg by two goals, barca had a much longer road to come back to.

Messi is a credit to the game. But you've obviously never seen Busquet's antics, then.

looking forward to the new kit coming out going to be interesting to see what the americans come up with.. was bored of adidas..

lfc89

In addition to being crap, Adidas viewed us as a second tier club. Good riddance.

I note that the Bayern shirt is identical to ours. Says it all, really.

{Ed002's Note - It is a great pity that you can't thank Adidas for the very significant money they pumped in to the club.}

And their generosity towards us is what led Adidas to offer us half what they pay Bayern, who sell significantly less Adidas-branded merchandise?
{Ed002's Note - Why the obsession with constantly making comparison and this enduring hatred of practically everything. Adidas have put a great deal of money in to Liverpool - they signed a new deal with Bayern giving them considerably more money than Liverpool over the next 8 years - but Bayern's commercial revenue outstips Liverpool's by a very, very long way. Commercially, Bayern Munich is a much, much better investment option than Liverpool.}

Thanks

So over the top sometimes ed. {Ed002's Note - So what did you make of his hate filled posts that we did no put up? Why don't you share your knowledge of those instead of anonymously complaining about an Editor? As it turns out you know nothing of it at all. Jerk.}

Here we go, ed002 thinks shes a superstar again {Ed002's Note - Fine, so you think it wrong that I made the effort to defend the club's sponsors - in the same way I make an effort to defend the players, staff, owners from the ignorant fans. It is not just those at the lowest end who simply refer to the players they don't like as "deadwood" but includes the guy who wanted to slash the face of a player so he would remember not to miss a penalty again and those who have made threats to the owners and others connected to the club. And I appreciate that as much as clubs would like to rid themselves of the likes of you and the others who simply spew hate at the club, the staff and the sponsors, they are unable to find a way to do it.}

Ed, it's a small minority who make those kind of threats and the majority of us i'm sure find that disgraceful.

vlad

Ed, I would hardly say that these are "hate filled" posts! people simply saying how they would rather not have adidas now, and are annoyed by the fact adidas are not considering us as a big team.

Vlad {Ed002's Note - You have not seen the rest of the posts so how can you have an opinion?}

Great post Ed002,

I support you views throughout.

These so-called fairweather fans come here posting non sense after non sense never having the conviction to back their statements by signing their posts......

And worse they call themselves true fans and lecture us about our players....I have always believed that we should back our players no matter how bad they play......

We have a right to criticise their performance but no right to criticise their talent as many do here on a consistent basis.....

Just see what Lucas had to go through because finally being recognised....And still we have so called fans criticising Kenny's signings....

Pathetic and sadistic fans.......

LiverBird

Ed ur only defending adidas cos they are sponsors of ur beloved b**tards chelsea

red boy 111 {Ed002's Note - Another ignorant MF.}

Adidas have come and gone over the years, and no doubt will again in the future, we are not the force we once were, that is true. We got a better deal else where and took it. Should we get a new stadium and win the league in the next 5 years adaidas will be putting in a substantial package deal no doubt. So thanks for the past and we may well see you in the future.

You have posted the only two comments I made about Adidas. They are the second and third posts. That's it. I have made no "hate-filled posts". Get a grip.

Sorry if this has been asked but have you any idea what's going with Sterling? He seems to have not been involved with any teams over the past few weeks, do you know if he's injured? I really don't want us to lose him, he's a great talent. {Ed001's Note - he played for the ressies last week, don't know if he played earlier as I haven't had a chance to watch it yet.}

He didnt play today. An jw henry was there....
If we lose players like sterling, whilst we are trying to buy youth players for the future, ill see it at 1 step forwards, 1 massive leap back

/
Ben the red

Sterling did not play last week against West Brom reserves, wasnt even on the bench.

Sterling is in the First Team Squad for West Brom on Sunday which is why he didn't feature yesterday for the reserves against the Mancs.
Might even get another run out for the last 10 mins on Sunday if the game goes in our favour.

sorry meant to say what players do you think should be sold {Ed001's Note - I really don't know, other than the likes of Cole who are out on loan. Johnson I would sell, he is paid far too much and is simply not good enough as a right back to deserve it. It would really depend on who comes in as to who is to be sold.}

Agree about Cole. Seems he wants to make his loan to Lille permanent. Fine by me as long as we get some money for him!
