Hi guys...a little bit of light here........okay to all the FAN's stating rumours that we will sign Ashley young/ Benzema/ Augero/ Adam johnson/ Gael clichy n all...please guys don't post these rumours and waste the time and space writing it. They belong to Champion league playing club and will never leave those clubs plus Ashley young is more likely to move to Man UTD. So please no more big money rumours. I guess our most expensive signing would be 15-20 million pounds and not more than that.

Instead of the, let s face it, boring and antiquated system of 1-10 for the likelihood of each signing, could you please rate the likelihood of the following signings by listing each alongside a unique animal, the larger the animal the more likely the signing. For example:
Ronaldo (CR7) = Kitty Hog Nosed Bat
Kak = Etruscan Shrew
Ashley Young = Cheetah
And so on. If you want to be really clever you can rate each player the same but try and pick an animal (keeping the size in mind) that is similar to the player, like I did with Young as he is quite likely (or quite possible) but also fast like his feline counterpart; just to keep it interesting. As well as keeping it a bit more interesting we might more naturalists to this site, as let s face it, it is clearly lacking them and I bet Sir David Attenborough has never visited the site, and if he did he would have buggered off if he noticed the tired and boring 1-10 system.
Enrique (a rumour now) is not likely to be going to United. Sir Alex has a lot of faith in Raffayellow s lookalike Fabbyellow and in front of him is Evra, why would he need him?

Ed, i ve just finished watching the first half of the PSG VS LOSC. The one player who has really impressed was Sakho. He has a great pass, very strong in the air and an all round great prospect. Hazard has been very quiet to say the least though. I hope Kenny gets Sakho.

1. Wigan are asking for an outrageous amount of money for McCarthy. Thus, we won't even bid.
2. King Kenny feels that FSG is giving him the financial backing that he needs this summer. He intends on buying players of a very high caliber.
3. We are in a three-way battle with Tottenham and Arsenal for Scott Parker of West Ham.
4. Liverpool have made a formal approach for Eden Hazard.
5. Reports in Brazil have linked VFL Wolfsburg's playmaker Diego with us.
6. Christian Poulsen does not want to leave because he is still hoping to fight for his place.

important LFC don't take any risks in the transfer market we need proven players who will perform straight away in premiership therefore all these foreign players rumoured currently playing in vastly inferior leagues and are not yet regulars in their respective national teams must be discounted.

No real surprises there all mentioned before but would all do it from the start.

Personally I don't think we should sign another CB this summer. We have Carragher, Agger, Kelly (can play here) and Skrtel who can all be world class on their day. Also we have plenty of talented defenders coming through the ranks who will take carras place when he gets too old (the likes of Coady (he is immense), Danny Wilson, Ayala and Wisdom)

LFC fans love their young lads so understandable. Have you seen him play a bit Omar? Everytime I have seen him he looks avg, nothing special and at times unsure and labours a little. Wilson has not convinced me either yet.
Wisdom for me has bags more potential. He seems assured and confident just like Flano, Robinson & Kelly.

I know he's young and will get better but for me Ayala is too slow for the premier league, are defence isn't the fastest even with are youth I think eventually Kelly will go centre back and we will need someone with a bit more pace to compliment Kelly et al, I don't think Ayala fits the bill. However I am only judging this on a couple of games and with youth you really need to watch allot more games before judging, so I could be way off the mark, then again I think kk has watched a fair few and I trust his judgement.

Hi Eds there's been a lot of rumours linking Friedel with a return. Do you think his bankrupsy a few months back thanks to his failed academy in the states would make him more or less likely to take a contract here as opposed to a team that needed a 1st-choice stopper?
also, the idea of a 'marquee signing' does serve a purpose - the Suarez 7 shirt has been the best-selling at JJB in 2011 so far. If FSG want to promote LFC in the states and asia, then it makes good business sense to sign someone who will shift shirts by the bucketload like our old no.9 did in asia.

No Facts just thinking. As far as I can see we have a few players to go in the summer at least Poulson, El zhar, Konchesky, Darby, Degen and Jones to go. I think Insua, Jovanovic, Kyrgiakos and Ngog may go too. Potential others could be Aquilani, Cole and even Agger ( I would guess not if Krygiakos were to leave). I think Wilson, Ayala and Pacheco are likely to go on loan (Pacheco to taste premiership football with Norwich?) Shelvey likely to pick up a few more games next season so CM looks competitive and full) LB looks a spot to recruit for as do both wings, I would think Kenny will look for pace, as a change to Maxi, Kuyt and Cole) Young is possible as he fits that bill, maybe Chamberlain(?) Hazard keeps getting a mention but most likely his agent trying to push a price up for where ever he really ends up, The youth team looks bursting with potential but I doubt the likes of Sterling and Suso will make many more games than the obligatory early Cup ties. Maybe a CB too Shawcross or Cahill fit the spec although the obscene prices being mentioned may mean that neither will materialise, I like the look of Phil Jones at Blackburn but as before the money mentioned £20 Mil +) and his relative inexperience (20 this year) and the fact we have Wilson and Ayala both around the same age means that any CB would have to be more experienced at the least? IF Ngog goes then obviously we need to recruit a replacement although Amoo is 20 and Eccleston just a year behind although neither have had too many First team run outs for us.
I would only add to that down load of my brain that last summer I was thinking we would need 6 top players (which I knew we wouldn't get) although I was pleased with Cole at the time, Meireles, Wilson and Shelvey I am still happy with and the others well we won't mention. This season we only really need 3 players. Clearly the squad needs to improve and maybe that test lands at some of the 20ish players to prove they can step up to wear the Shirt

our main aim for this summer should be to keep hold of reina. without a doubt the best keeper in the prem , maybe the world.
defensively , i think we oughta give the young ones an early start. jack robinson played quality against a pacey international in theo walcott. so if he manages to produce that on a regular basis , we have deffo got a new carra on our hands. the same goes for flanagan. need to get rid of konchesky , possibly kyriagkos , hes getting on a bit now so a replacement may be needed sooner than later. maybe phil jones from blackburn.
midfield , we need to sign eden hazard , hes quick , hes played more than 100 games for lille , so hes got plenty on experience and hes only about 20. no way are we gonna sign marveaux. he isn't good enough for liverpool. i think we need to sign a pacey right winger , cos kuyt is quality but he lacks pace. stephen ireland could play in that role , and in all honesty , i have no idea how he isn't in villa's starting XI. he has the quality to play in man united , chelsea , arsenal and of course , the best team in the world , LIVERPOOL. we need to sell poulsen , hes failed to make an impact since his 5million move from juve and it would be better for up to cut our losses and get rid. ganso would be a brilliant signing , can play on both wings , pacey , athletic. or marko marin.
attack wise , we need to get rid of that dozy chap, ngog. and we need a good back up striker. maybe someone young with the potential to be a world beater. romelu lukaku has that potential but i read in the paper that he wants to move to spam. so unlikely.

ed you should provide a seperate page with a list of players linked and ur stance on there situation it would save you having to repeat urself and telling/refering posters to see earlier comments you could update situations as they happen and inform people of the updates, you could also organise txt updates for a reasonable cost to make urselfs a few quid coz i and i assume many others would like this site to progress. just a thought. go celtic. I've prev posted he should go back to QPR for season long loan & play 10-20 games n givin him vital playin time at top level & see how he does against some of the best players.

Suarez on international duty with uraguay in south American cup this summer, I'm dreading it, ESP with our luck with injuries, guess he will come back 2 pre-season training later as a result which may also effect early season form. Keep ur fingers crossed n hold ur breath!
This is why we need quality back up & this is not to be disrespectful to Carroll & kuyt who I both rate they won't offer the spark Suarez does.

Being from Oz, my big brother from a young age provided me with the romance that is LFC. would prefer Parker over Joey barton. barton is a good footballer and has had a great season but he brings alot of baggage with him and its not really what we need next season. Besides parker just had a fantastic season and with West ham going down would be available at a cur price deal!

just a quick question in relation to whats written below about james mccarthy. i know that liverpool have been interested in him since he was at hamilton at 16 and he chose not to come when he left to go to wigan. is there interest from both sides and is it dependent on wigan being relegated. as he has declared himself for the republic i have been interested in this player for a long time and think he would be a very valuable player in a few years time . {Ed002's Note - There appears to be interest from Liverpool but a £20M reported price tag that is making everyone baulk. It is not tied to relegation.}

I think that since it looks like aquaman will be coming back that we all give him a fair crack of the whip now. I am aware that everything has gone hush hush on the new kit deal as Warrior sports may have a legal battle on the hands as adidas are majorly pi**ed off about the announcement of the new kit deal coming out before the release of the new 2011/12 kit.
Also the deal look big but the overall package is near enough the same as what Adidas offered when you take into account the amount of free kit the club gets to sell on.

Anybody that says Lennon is a good crosser has never actually watched him play - never seen him put in a decent cross for spurs or england in five years.

I personally wouldn't mind Riise returning. Yes he is 30 but with him in last year of contract he would be cheap and add depth to squad especially with his ability to play LB & LM. I don't think we need to spend a fortune on LB when we have the prospect of Jack Robinson filling the roll in 2 to 3 years time. Player like Baines would have the roll for 5 years, where would that leave Jack then.

I can't imagine that additions of Diego, Vargas, Young and Dann wouldn't put us in prime position to at least challenge for the Title let only a Champions league spot. The costs of those players would also make NESV happy since, after all, they are businessmen trying to make a profit at the same time as winning silverwear.

Is anyone else worried by the number of french based player we're linked too? Maybe I'm wrong but the french league isn't the best in the world "I remember people kept comparing Bruno Cheyrou to Zidane and the list goes on and on and on" so I hope KK has the final saying because I don't trust DC. Anyway by looking through this site a lot of people are gonna be disappointed. I just hope we sign players good enough to finish top4 next year.
