lets be honest heavy money need to invest to win EPL. sad to say it as Man u, Chelsea, Arsenal, City all are top then us. and they yet plan big money invesment. so only KK can't do everything if we don't bring at least 5/ 6 new top class player. wait to see transfer situation of New American woner.

Considering how some of our best buys of years gone by came from clubs such as Chester, Scunthorpe and Watford I was wondering if anyone knows how much scouting time goes into lesser English leagues these days?

Foreign imports may bring immediate success but surely there are still some gems to be found in leagues 1 and 2?

{Ed002's Note - In the past couple of weeks we have had Neymar, Aguero, Hazard, return of Torres and Sanchez all confirmed. We are planning on confirming the transfer of Ganso tomorrow and Pastore on Wednesday.}

Ed iniesta will sign after the champs lge final and new the brazilian kid lucas next week, both confirmed!
My source is bono, he knows this because of his charity work in brazil (lucas) for unicef (barca sponsor). He also has a direct line to god and he said we may also re sign razor ruddock but this is yet to be confirmed

Just a personal view, think we've already done the business on at least 2 players Mata, Enrique. Then i would expect Adam to follow, then a centre half, and back up striker, then offload, Cole, Jovanovich, poulson, degen, aqua, insua, konch. Cheers Boot room bill

Pls post ed!

Rafael benitez to be next chavski manager. He urged torres to sign for them in january because he knew he would be appointed in the summer.

He promised torres world class signings when he becomes boss.

On a liverpool note: what are we to do with all the dead wood in our squad? So depressing!

Ashley Young will not be signing for Liverpool nor will Adam. Young prefers Champions League Football or the very least Europa League. Adam is going to Tottenham as Blackpool will not deal with us.

The last 2 games showing no real desire has cost us signing a few players.

Macca do you know any different?

We have to consider things carefully concerning our youth policy. Vargas is 27 & Jack Robinson is 17
--------------------------------------
We can't not sign players because we already have youngsters...

We need a massive squad overhaul, and I don't think Comolli or Kenny will be looking to sign someone then think "Oh wait Jack Robinson might be a good player in 4 years, best not sign him then".

Well yet again, thank God that season is over and confined the dustbin.

It wouldn't be LFC if it didn't end as a bit of an anti-climax, which is a bit of a disappointment considering the momentum we had built up right until the Spurs game.

Now the silly season can start and I see Chelsea have stolen a march on everyone already. Mess about with a team mates woman, shoot young lads on the training ground all that is perfectly acceptable. Win a double and 12 months later you're out. Classy. Get those plastic blue flags out.

I've read, with great interest all the snippets coming out of the club in the last few months. Mostly from Comolli with some comments coming from Dalglish. All mean very little but piece them together and either i'm missing something or they are planning on spending mega bucks in the summer.

I for one still do not believe they will spend large amounts of money on players for one moment. But take these quotes:-
1) Comolli in Feb states the club will be bringing in upwards of 4 or 5 players
2) Comolli in April states a LB, CB and two wingers were the priority
3) Dalglish in May states the days of buying mediocre players are at an end. Top end will be the order of the day
4) Comolli in March states the club does not have a budget but if the player is right he will be bought
5) Reina in May states he is happy with the direction of the club after a chat with Comolli with one of the issues being transfers.

There are several more all of which allude to players at the top end of the money market coming to the club. Now if you choose to believe what you hear then it looks like 4/ 5 players costing upwards of £90M will be bought in.

I doubt that this isn't going to happen. So i wonder what game is being played here? Lets hope there aren't many fans who believe that £100M+ will be spent. Otherwise they'll turn their disappointment on the owners and accuse them of being H&G Mark II.

Apparently the mancs has offered Young a 130K a week pay.... When Rooney cried his tears to gain his salary, the club developed to a man city light... This is a proof. Now lets see if he's a money grabber or not.

Ed002 - feel free to post this is banter by the way, I can't access it from my mobile -

Purely curious. I know you're a chelsea fan, but I was just curious about how you have so much info on LFC.

I understand a lot of what you say is simply critical thinking and analysis, but some posters ask you about our youngsters (e.g. Wisdom, suso, mavinga even) and you have some things to say about them.

I was curious whether you have ties to the club at all or whether it's mostly speculation.

Like I said, I don't mind either way, purely curious.

I know you're a busy guy (at least judging by the LFC rumours page) so if replying by email (sonnelandjc@appstate.edu) would be easier, that's great too

If you don't got time to respond, no worries. I understad this post doesn't hold a lot of importance. Mere curiosity is all.

Cheers ed. Keep up the good work {Ed005's Note - Different ed but I'm not sure what ED002's sources/links are. He may wish to speak for himself as I don't want to reveal his personal business.}

Guy,

We seem to be losing the run of our selfs, another defeat today or hadn't anyone noticed?? I hope it dosen't continue into the new season 2 defeats in the first few games would fans be calling for Kenny's head?? Both defeats show the need for investment in the squad. I am looking forward to the summer transfer window, but i don't think we can compete with the likes of man city and chelsea, Hopefully there will be a few players coming in but i still don't rate the likes of Charlie Adams, Downing and even Young, over priced and over rated.. I hope Kenny has last say on all transfers, as comolli did buy some s**te in his time at spurs. Im not sure how we will buy but i guess we need a back up keeper, a LB a CB, 3 wingers, a CM and a back up striker!!

So that's the season over, and thank f*ck imo. Now for the 1st time in years, i'm actually looking forward to the summer and the trasnfer market. Who knows who we'll sign, but at least we know we are going to try, or sign quality players. We've had one of our best seasons ever in the PL. We've got Kenny and Steve in charge, we've got great owners, we've got great young talent breaking through, Torres (El Sulko) is no longer with us, so we won't have all the speculation about him this summer. We've got a great potentional partnership up front, in Luis and Andy. The team spirit seems to be back and the club and fans, are pulling in one direction.

Man.U might have won their 19th league title and are playing in the CL final. But i'm pretty confident, that it's us LFC fans who are looking forward to the future, more than they are.

Saw this on twitter as well. To be fair I would be happy with him but at the end of the day I don't think us not getting him would be the end of the world.

If it came down to him or Mata I would choose Mata every day of the week and then some.

Malaga - sold to Qatari businessman Sheikh Abdullah Al Thani in June 2010. Bought 17 new players

Racing Santander - sold Indian entrepeneur Ahsan Ali Syed, founder of Bahrain-based company Wester Gulf Advisory

Getafe - sold Royal Emirates Group of Companies

why did Liverpool end up with Americans owners that don't have oil money

Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Manchester City . 5billiob
Lakshmi Mittal QPR 12.5billion
Roman Abramovich Chelsea 7billion
Joe Lewis Tottenham Hotspur 2.5billion
Bernie and Slavica Ecclestone QPR 2.4billiob

QPR- Seem to be the real big fish coming up. Will they be going after champions league spot. Should we see some major signings from them.

Just a few hours to go until it's Pastore Day, I'm so excited. My very favourite part is when Moyes the butler dresses up as the Pastore Day ocelot, dons his cream Armani suit and climbs astride the Pastore Day pony to recite the Pastore Day couplet....."Comolli once; Comolli twice and Comolli thrice, young squire; for whom shall ye sign today?" At which point the rest of us, all gathered in the parlour, begin to chant rumours and spin in ever faster circles until we collapse in a tangled heap on the rug. The sheer thrill of anticipation usually gives my top chum Colleen* the hiccups, but we wouldn't miss it for the world!

Wayne

*By the way, have my suspicions that top chum Colleen is really a chappess.

was looking at some of the danish sites showing transfer rumours and according to that it said that we were looking to sign 7-10 world class players isn t that a bit too much and wouldnt it be too expensive for the club?

{Ed002's Note - In the past couple of weeks we have had Neymar, Aguero, Hazard, return of Torres and Sanchez all confirmed. We are planning on confirming the transfer of Ganso tomorrow and Pastore on Wednesday.}

how sarcastic are you? seriously, Liverpool fans don't believe those players are coming in just the silly kids. you are just a plastic glory hunting Chavski fan

Only just thought bout this we have won nothing since adidas rejoined us as our kit maker so I reckon this time in 2013 we will be celebrating a treble and rubbing the dirty mancs face in it back to how it should be

22 May 2011 20:39:04
We shall struggle to sign top quality players yet again. The fact that we couldn't even get europe cup means that the top players will sign for teams playing CL.
Am pleased with the finishing except for the last two games, the squad doesn't have enough quality players.
Next season should be a better one and hope that we can get the over paid and over rated players off our books soon. The young players have proved their worth ans should be given a run.

He's quick, Great going forward and he can defend.
What do you think? {Ed002's Note - I don't know what the club plans to do with him. But we do know that DC and KD have been looking at other left backs - perhaps a hint?}

Liverpool actually sat 20th in the table at one point this season and genuinely feared a possible relegation battle at the beginning of January, a solid 6th place finish should not be looked on as a failure

it is a true achievement that teams like Blackpool and west-ham where not able to do. Well Done Liverpool.

The club didn't get relegated

I think you are right by saying that domestic transfers can take place from tomorrow, but if this is the case what would stop reading and/ or swansea from buying players for the play-off final? {Ed002's Note - That they are not registered to play this season. The squad was submitted in September and amended on February 1. They can already buy players but not use them.}

22 May 2011 20:21:19
Eds, long time reader but rarely post. Is there no way that you can stem this silly wave of people asking for ratings of transfer possibilities? Don't get me wrong i love the site but am getting really fed up for people asking the same questions (as must you folks). Also can you put out a post reminding people that they are Allowed to read other post, this way they may get some transfer rumours and not keep asking you who you think we will get! Sorry for the sarcasm but feel that some of the readers are just to lazy or disrespectful to check the days post.

Well that's it finally the end of a very frustrating season.
I don't believe the king wanted to lose today or last week , and fans who believe this want to be carefully because you end up sounding like dickhead spuds fans and scum fans.
(That's the last thing we want to be like)
On the signings front we can attract top players still
We may struggle with certain players but its not all about champs league.
Players want to challenge for honours so that leaves the league title.
I think its important that the first player in is world class , that will help with other signings showing that we mean business.
So here's to a top summer.

Not Happy tht we were beaten today but I am not particularly sad also.....

If I look in the hindsight....the bad phase which started with Aston Villa and Tottenham last season ended with the same two team this season....isn't it

Guys I think we have completed one full circle of bad times over our club.....next season will be new biginning and sun will shine brightly over LFC....we will definately be a force to reckon with next season....

Wow ED002 you are in a really foul mood, the above just an example of 3 or 4 very sarcastic, witty but harsh comments ...
The chelsea defeat have really effected you .. never mind Roman will spend 200m + (read it on myspace) , which should guarantee top 4 next year ..
I'll start ducking now/

{Ed002's Note - I am not in a foul mood but I had been asked the same question at least 10 times in 15 minutes by people who simply cannot be bothered to read any of the other posts.}

22 May 2011 19:58:11
Blackpool should keep Charlie Adams I don't see the point in signing him at this point. Do we really need him. We have the summer to buy better players.

Tell that Cheap owner NESV to put £200million into the team. 288million spent on a club that is worth £500million. The team needs atleast £200 in new players.

Its time to put up or sell up John Henry

I said we would finish 6 at the end of the season with that team.

My manager of the Month would be Roy Hodgson. He has done a great job at WBA. The Liverpool players let him down. The Likes of Gerrard didn't seem interested. Torres wasn't bothered. Hodgson tried to be positive, but the players made him was negative at Liverpool. They just where not bothered. He was a dead man walking with the Kenny Dalglish monkey on his back.

22 May 2011 19:55:28
finally that nightmare season is over and we can start buying some top notch players!

22 May 2011 19:53:59
Ed - I saw Ashley Young and Downing shaking hands with KK at the end of the Villa match. Does this mean a deal is imminent? {Ed002's Note - Yes it is the age old tradition of signalling secret messages to the fans. You will also note that Dalglish shook hands with Gary McAllister and he will be coming out of retirement as well.}

ED, are you kiding or you think this serious?

Nasri is a near zip chance.}

Hi ed is the domestic transfer window open tommorow and if so do you expect us to sign anyone this week or very soon, thanks great site btw. {Ed002's Note - Yes and I really have no idea.}

22 May 2011 19:23:44
ed. when can liverpool start buying {Ed002's Note - Each FA decides the date that their transfer window opens. In England and Wales it is after the last game of the season - but that only applies for transfers between clubs who are members of the same FA. For International transfers I think the window will open on July 1. So they can buy players from tomorrow.}

Baines

Not only can they play, but they'd be fully committed to the shirt.

22 May 2011 18:30:44
That's the season over, and I for one, am happy.
This is the moment I've been long waiting for.
And I'd urge our fans to actually enjoy this moment.

We've just said goodbye to the past 3 years, the miseries, depression, frustration, agony it bought.
What we're doing folks is permanently incinerate H+G and the ills of their regime.

Say goodbye to most of the team you saw out there today. Liverpool FC will never be the same again.
Prepare yourselves for the most exciting summer in years.
Prepare yourselves for the first game of the 2011/ 2012 season.
It's gonna be lovely, folks.

Forget the joke that is the Europa. Ignore whoever tells you that we might not get some of we targets because we don't have Europe.
Liverpool is a club on the rise. The target next season is the league.
Forget 3 year plans. The league's wanted A, I repeat, ASAP.

There's a bigger picture, that's what will sway players.
Be happy, folks, be thrilled. There'll be a lot to play for next season: league, FA and Carling.

Here's to ushering a new era in the amazing existence of this magnificent football club.
Just, sit back, sip your poison and just, enjoy this amazing period.

Europa? Mancs' 19? So what? We are Liverpool FC, five times European Champions and our home is Anfield, the greatest Arena in the world. That's the truth, that's what matters. Finish and klaar!

To all you people who think Shelvey isnt good enough, rememer, he was born in 1992 which makes him 19. He still has a good 2 or 3 seasons until we can then say: "he is not good enough." But for now, we need to support him and give him confidence to grow into a good player.

Hi ed's i know you have probably been asked this time and time again, but will birmingham be able to prove that they are financially stable to be able to play in europe.. especially having to deal with those wages in the championship?

The Southern Red {Ed002's Note - Yes they will be fine. The Europa places go to Birmingham, Stoke, Spurs and Fulham. If Liverpool had done a lot better in they Fair Play League then they could have gotten in that route, but they didn't.}

22 May 2011 18:12:42
with birmingham going down will we get europa. surely the fa don't want a championship team in it

{Ed002's Note - No, Liverpool will not be in the Europa Cup next year. The Europa teams are: Spurs, Stoke City, Birmingham City and Fulham.}

Birmingham have qualified for the Europa League in their own right, and if the FA considered replacing them with someone else due to their relegation then you would have to consider the integrity of the FA.

With birmingham going down will they give europa league to sixth place instead of a team that will be in the championship next season {Ed002's Note - The Europa places go to Birmingham, Stoke, Spurs and Fulham. If Liverpool had done a lot better in they Fair Play League then they could have gotten in that route, but they didn't.}

22 May 2011 18:10:38
Poor game, but you can see why another CM might be seen as a reasonable addition - with Gerrard injured we only really have Meireles as a creative spark in the midfield. Feet back on the ground after a great run of form, our aim for next year should be top four and with no long haul flights to Outer Mongolia that should be far more achievable. Especially with Arsenal having to start the season early with the CL qualifiers, maybe losing Nasri and Wilshere perhaps featuring in the U21s, i can see them dropping out of the top four if they pick up a couple of injuries.

The youngsters coming through rose to the challenge in the run in, but they'll only get us so far, we need depth in the squad and some genuine width on the field to push on. The biggest silver lining of Dalglish coming back has been him proving that we can win against the bigger sides in the league without the two star players that others claim carried us. Oh and even if people remember Hodgson's reign in a poor light, at least he brought in Meireles - a touch of class who has the ability to improve even further with a few good additions around him.

Glass half full and all that.

Now for the real fun to begin

22 May 2011 18:05:31
Ed, when does the transfer window actually open??

Cheers {Ed002's Note - Each FA decides the date that their transfer window opens. In England and Wales it is after the last game of the season - but that only applies for transfers between clubs who are members of the same FA. There has been a real big fuss in France this year as the clubs want the transfer window to open after the last day of the season rather than their following the tradition of opening on the same day as the International window. The French are concerned that those nasty English clubs will come and take their best players and costs will be inflated. Some countries use the last game, some June 1 and some the international window date. For International transfers I think the window will open on July 1.}

It is so unprofessional or unrealistic to think that lfc will make a big signings this summer. So, expect Lfc to sign the following players:

Emilio Izaguirre (he will certainly solve the left back problem)
Charlie Adam (CM, RM, LM)
Taarabt (He did a good job to bring QPR to the EPL)

The last 2 performances show the need to add some invention to the squad. Shelvey, Cole and Ngog were awful today and most of the rest of the team were average at best. Same old story - no width, no pace, no guile.

Today's team and performance is one that doesn't want to qualify for the distraction that is the Europa league next season. KK just wants to focus on keeping the squad fresh next season to push for CL place. Cole and Aurelio are in last chance saloon today to prove their worth to Kk, so it's bye bye to both.

I appreciate that we all have our opinions about transfers and are entitled to state them. My only gripe is people making absolute views of factual matters without any basis whatsoever to corroborate them.

Most popular of these views are: "Aguero will be too expensive for LFC", "LFC won't pay Aguero's wages of £200k", "LFC will spend an X amount", "player C WON'T be joining LFC".

First of all, no one knows exactly to what extent the LFC board are prepared to bankroll new signings and how they intend doing this.
Only the board would be in a position to decide if a target meets the set criteria and is a worthy investment (expensive or not).
Whether at £10m or £40m, if a target is deemed "reward worth the risk" he'll be bought.

Many have detailed the circumstances which would to large degree militate against a Sergio Aguero move to Liverpool. Chief among them include the fee the player's club would demand and the player's wages. I would say that there indeed is a strong case to be for this stance.

However, this only looking at it on the surface.
It is not known how the board views the matter. It is not known what factors will ultimately influence the decision-making process.
(People would do well to remember the fact that FSG don't look at outlays as expenditure, but as investments, investments in assets).

It has been said that buying Aguero would be "fiscally senseless".
"There won't be return on investment" it has been said. Some plausible reasons supporting this POV have been advanced.
I would say that on the pitch, Mr Aguero would be value for money. Off it, that FSG are very shrewd businessmen with exceptional marketing genuis.
If they believe they can make Aguero an investment multiple times worth the risk, they will pull out all the stops to get him.

Now, we don't know how FSG see the Aguero, so therefore don't know if they will be willing to pay the club's asking fee and the player's wages. On the face of it, it would seem unlikely. But we don't know that.
There's no evidence to suggest anything to the contrary.
So people should stop saying "stop with the Aguero rumours. Too expensive. He's not coming". Just stop it, you don't know and can't prove anything yourself.

What is common knowledge and undeniable is that LFC will spend money this summer bringing new players in.
What isn't clear and fact is how much money that will be.
It could be anything between £25m to £110m.

I have often read on here how anyone who expects the owners to spend a (large) portion of their own money will "have a long wait".
The poster basically saying that FSG will put in their own money where necessary, but (essentially) less of it.
Wrong.
If the poster had provided even a shred of evidence corroborating such a claim, perhaps there would be something to talk about.
Until such evidence is given, this claim remains factually.

As I said, anyone who comes on here and makes certain claims, newspapers claiming amount X will be spent on player D and LFC's spending will be C without any conclusively supporting material, is talking bull.
It is no bad thing having opinions, especially informed ones. Problem is when people start talking as though they are the decision-makers themselves. You're NOT the LFC board. It is NOT you who gets to if a certain player should or should not be bought and the reasons for it.

The LFC board and it only will make such decisions.

Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool have contacted Mata s representative (his father) and the trio have all expressed varying degrees of interest in the player s situation. Mata s new contract contains a buy out clause of 60 million, but that will always be negotiable if both the player and the club are willing to listen to offers.
What is clear is that Valencia expect an offer at some point and so far City and Liverpool seem to have shown the greatest level of interest in him (more visits from their scouts to Mestalla or more contact with his agent, for instance). At The moment it is agame of poker, but City and Liverpool are both under the impression that the transfer depends, not so much on the player - as they think they can convince him - but on Valencia and the final fee they will demand for him. Valencia plan on approaching Real Sociedad for Griezmann if it looks like Mata is leaving.

As I Tweeted last week, Pepe Reina has decided to stay at Anfield because he believes in the new project. Liverpool are trying to buy a left back (Jose Enrique and Jose Angel of Sporting have been followed, but there are doubts over the defensive qualities of one and the maturity of the other, so no decision has been made), a centre back, a central midfielder and two wingers. Juan Mata could be one of those if Liverpool make an offer that is accepted by Valencia and if city abandon their interest in him. And at the moment, with no offer on the table from either club, that is a big if.

From Guillem Balague's site ed, what do you think are the chances of much of this happening?

Thanks mate, your doing a great job :)

maka {Ed002's Note - Aside from this being the second time this has been posted and the same questions were answered earlier, I will repeat the answers.

Mata we have discussed at length and Valencia may be preparing for life after Mata by lining up Elia as a replacement. Although there is some interest from Liverpool and it would not be entirely out of the question that the club could move for the player, I suspect he may end up elsewhere with interest being shown by Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and I suspect Barcelona will become interested at some point. If Barcelona do show their hand I expect he could move there, if not Manchester City are reportedly heading the queue now. But without doubt a chance and he could well be the "big double super suprise shock signing of the summer". Griezmann I am less sure about. Everything has been very quiet and no move appears on the cards at present. Marseille and Lyon have shown some confirmed interest in the pass. Possible.}

Sorry ed, i posted it before and forgot to add the end bit.
thanks

Anfield to be redeveloped, main stand first, all season ticket holders to be accommodated in the centenary stand whilst this is done, then a 3rd tier to be put on to the centenary, outcome 60,0000.
Only question is why didn t they start last Monday.

ed is it true that we are intrested in eden hazard but that he is not that interested in joining us over clubs like arsenal or inter so realy unless kenny can persuade him or those other clubs lose intrest it will be difficult to sign him: soory for the long question ed {Ed002's Note - Yes.}

no CL football is gonna be a turn off for alot of players, if we don't get EL football thats gonna put us down the list further, we are relying on the fact we are liverpool fc an that we hav a legend at the helm to attract top players, if thats enough i don't kno, we'll hav to see in transfer window

Hi Eds,
I read somewhere recently that, Nasri got one year left on contract and can't agree new terms. What would you make of him as a long term replacement for Stevie G, as for Scott Parker, also 31 in October, couldnt see him playing week in week out ahead of Mireles in either 4-4-2 or 4-3-3
Parker was the best player in a carp team, doesnt make him LFC first teamer

without investment, our future team could look something like this:

--------------------Carroll-------------------

------O'Hanlon-----Shelvey-----Sterling------

----------------Suso-----Spearing-----------
---------------------------------------------
----Robinson---Wilson-----Ayala-----Kelly----
---------------------------------------------

Subs: Gulacsi, Coady, Wisdom, Morgan, Smith, Ngoo, Flanagan

personally, i think this team has the potential to be outstanding. WITH investment, we could be something else

Despite the damage allready done to LFC over the past two seasons, the rot seems to have stopped with LFC now in a position to wipe the slate clean and once again progress towards the champions league.

However, LFC will find it difficult to attract big name players this summer, but this issue could be benificial for LFC and an attractive possibility for talented young players to play for a big name club and break into the first team.

i think we would get ashley over united as i don't believe united r that interested in young as much as ppl think, i think we r more determined and would offer more in fee and wages to him than united

=====================================

I do agree with the "united are not that interested in young" part, I do think the noises coming out from there is to purely complicate and increase the value of Young. Its no coincidence that they were suddenly interested in Adam back in january and now apparently they have an interest in Enrique.

The person that mentioned owen hargreaves. Why would anyone want to sign a washed up player who has played like 20 minutes of football in two years. I think steven warnock is still a target to come back to liverpool.

Diego has come out and said, that he is flatterd by the interest of Liverpool and it would be an honour to play for us.If he can get his head right he would be a bargain for 9 million.It would be exciting seeing him linking play with Suarez.

If I were Mata, Liverpool would definatley interest me more than city and united.
Man City: Yes they will give you rediculously large wages but there is ALOT of competition for a place on their wing and come the end of next season they will most likely be looking for better wingers who will replace you (example dzeko, only just came and their looking for new strikers who will probably replace him next season). In two seasons he'll be a bench warmer as city really don't care how much they spend or who they replace as long as they can get the best.
Man UTD: Again, alot of competition on the wings (Valencia, Nani, Giggs) and their in debt so an uncertain future for them.
Liverpool: Mata is easily better than any winger we have so garanteed starter every week, we are debt free with owners who really seem to have a winning mentality and a manager who is an idiolistic hero aswell as a great manager.

I think Liverpool will have £50mill to spend, plus player sales of £10-15mill so around £75mill to spend on class players:

Baines- £18mill
Downing-£22mill
Mata-£20mill
Benzema-£18mill

Even though its a bit over the £75mill mark, I think this is what KK would want.
Eds?

£50mil plus £10-15mil player sales= £60-65mil!! so u are in fact well over the £65mil ont even £75mil

I have just being browsing the NewsNow website and was led to the story of the Man U banner on the Republik of Mancunia website. I browsed down to see what the guys were texting/ e-mailing in about and I was amazed at the level of obsession and hatred they have for us. Every entry was a hate filled rant calling us all the names under the sun and then ironically finished by calling us classless.

Liverpool have ended their interest in £30million Sergio Aguero because of his wage demands.

Saw this in the Daily Star and its absolute nonsense. First of all, Aguero would cost more than that, second of all it claims the wages we can't afford are £110k, of course we could afford that, and third of all, they claim Spurs are still in the running. That's Spurs who have a wage budget meaning they can't pay anyone more than £65k p/ w.

Is there any chance of us getting udinese? {Ed002's Note - No if I say no, all of the anonymous keyboard warriors will come out and provide enormous amounts of abuse and I will be accused of being sarcastic by those who never got given the renowned Scouse sense of humour. So, yes I think there is an excellent chance of Liverpool getting Udinese.}

The problem is though, with no Champion's League football to look forward to, Udinese might not make the switch so we've set our sights a bit lower and are looking to make a bid for Dagenham and Redbridge.

KK and DC will have a £50 million transfer kitty to strengthen the team/ squad
Plus player sales, I can see no less than 10 players leaving the club in the summer
B.Jones (2mil), Konchesky (2mil), Greek (free), Agger (10mil), Insua (4mil)
Degen (2mil), Poulsen(2mil), Aqualani(12mil), El Zhar (2mil), Jovanovic(4mil)
Cole(3mil), Maxi(4mil), N'Gog (4mil)=+-£50mil
Which will give KK and DC £100 million to spend, now you all can play fantasy football
with that money

22 May 2011 14:10:43
Best possible outcome is that we get either two out these 3 young/ hazard/ Mata
I also think that we need another backup striker aguero has been heavily linked with us, but it seems unlikely.
Also i don't seem to understand how we are linked with enrique, he simply doesnt have the quality to earn wearing a red shirt, however you could say that, for some of the players in the squad. Then theres also a Cm everyone keeps arguing, that we have depth in our midfield. Well what will these people be saying when Gerrard leaves? Also i was at the tottenham/ liverpool match and it seemed evident that even though we have a good work ethic (spearing/ Lucas) they do not hold much or any creativity, the only midfielder at the moment capable of this is miereles. This is why we need to splash out on players such as Diego (preferred target) or Adam. It makes me laugh when people moan how hee's too aggresive for the club. Once here no doubt Kenny will transform him. YNWA LAW

any suggestions for a good site to watch todays game {Ed007's Note - I know it's something to do with google chrome, anyone help out??}
--
yeah download google chrome - then download the add on for it "google chrome live football" it will then appear as a ball on the top right corner of the web page, click it then click live stream; a selection of games that are live atm will come up, obviously click liverpool villa, then choose the stream that is best quality, and then watch liverpool have a nice easy wiin :)

{Ed002's Note - HOW TO WATCH FOOTBALL ON THE INTERNET (WITH THANKS TO RED LENIN)
1. Install the browser Google Chrome.

2. Look in the top right (your right) corner and you will see a spanner.

3. Click on the spanner and select 'tools'.

4. Click on extensions

5. At the bottom right (as you look at it) you will see 'Get More Extensions >>'. Select this.

6. In the search box type 'Chrome Live Football' and search.

7. Click on Chrome Live Football and then click on install. (it may download to a holding file in the bottom left as you look at it, in which case as soon as it's finished click there, but mostly it will install itself)

8. A small football will then appear in the top right (as you look at it). Click on that, select 'live stream' and reset the clock to GMT and it will list all the live games available all over europe and other places.

You may occasionally need to install other programmes or the link you pick will only work on Explorer (in which case cut and paste the URL into Explorer), but you will always get every EPL match (or any other). Sometimes you will only be able to find it with foreign commentary and sometimes you will get it in English. You'll get about thirty links and you may have to look through a lot of them to get what you want. You will also get most La Liga matches, Greek matches, Italian matches and French matches as well as top matches from South America.

Someone also asked about viruses etc. Google Chrome is actually far more secure than Internet Explorer so the risks are considerably less, but you should have decent virus/spyware programmes and run sweeps regularly as a matter of course.

The quality will also depend on the speed of your internet connection. If you have super-speed and have a modern HD TV, consider connecting your PC to the TV via the PC socket on the side/ back.

Cut and paste the above into a document and save it for future reference.
}

Thanks Ed2. You're right, it was a joke. But I can ask serious questions too. For example: can you rate our chances (from 1 to 19) of getting a discount on udinese? like buy one and get another udinese free. Wanna buy udinese?.. 5 for 3 pound?

£22m for Downing - are you mad?! I think LFC might make 1 biggish signing but the rest will be squad players - not £75m worth. What's to say that KK would spend the entire budget in one go any way - save money for Jan.

{Ed002's Note - How does 50 plus 10 or 15 equal 75?}

22 May 2011 13:41:02
Ed please reply to this- I don't know why everyone keeps saying hazard does not want to come to liverpool as these are the official quotes he had to say- "Recently, the press have been writing about interest from Liverpool, and it is nice to hear your name being mentioned everywhere, especially with the best teams in the world.

"If I do leave at the end of the season, I don't want to go somewhere I will be on the bench, and it will be difficult to break through in a team like Real, where Ronaldo and Kaka will be my competitors.

I think that shows that he doesn't want to go to real madrid and he refered to liverpool as one of the best teams in the world

In respsonse to an earlier post from Anfield Andy. I have never heard Kenny talk about any so-called marquee

Wev'e finally got our man, Liverpool have opened negotiations with the representatives of Gabriel Heinze who is on a free from Marseille.Liverpool have moved quickly after Jose Henrique made it quite clear that his preffered destination was Man Utd due to the lure of champions league football.Although Heinze is now 33 years of age , he could prove to be an important aqisition as he can also be used as a centre back........h

es also pretty carp, slow and dirty.

Hi fellow fans haha, and to you eds, Kenny is preparing for a busy summer thats no secret but if we were to get adam johnson and young, and a few other players with kenny at the helm I honestly believe anything is possible and we could be title contenders so what do you think the chances of us getting johnson, sakho, young, jones, cissokho and obviously i'd love xabi back but it looks like its going to be charlie adam? However although everyone is calling for a couple of wingers, with marveux playing back up, i think adam johnson on one side and glen johnson on the other wouldnt be a bad shout? With kelly right back as johnson is great going forward but his defensive side needs improving, think this could be a great way to solve the problem of lack of wingers. Thanks for your time.

Ok Ed 002 what is chance on Aguero going to a)Chelsea b)City c) Staying at AM
and what's the talk about Diego coming to Anfield

{Ed002's Note - I have already explained what the situation is with Aguaro and the clubs involved. And how am I meant to answer "what's the talk"? What the hell does that mean.}

______________________________________________

The talk of Diego is pretty much just paper talk from what I can gather, although it was L'equipe who started the story[a respected sports source in Europe] I don't think it is true personally.

And the situation with Aguero, is according to the Ed's and some unreliable sources, he's in talks with Juventus who;
1. Have no money - Ed002's Note - ??????}
2. Have no European football
3. Have an ageing squad
4. Are in a second rate league.
Chelsea have been knocked back, so too have Real Madrid and Manchester United/ City.

___________________________________________

I noticed you questioned the money situation of Juventus, well... There is a reason why they have struggled ever since they got relegated to Serie B due to corruption[Match fixing]. They lost all of their major sponsors and have not really gained any significant money since their promotion. They're currently looking at building a new stadium as the Del Alpi is rented. Juventus will not sign Aguero, they can not afford him and his wages and his signing on fee. The club hasn't finished above 5th since they got promoted, there is no attraction or money at Juventus.

22 May 2011 11:23:02
Also, everybody is saying that Aguero wont happen due to his wage demands, has he personally told any of you you that he wants the 250-300k a week?
Torres took a pay cut to play in the best league in the world, why wouldnt Kun?
He is paid mega bucks in Spain but the only cup he has any chance of winning is the Copa Del Rey, and at a long shot the Europa, if he takes a pay cut and comes to Liverpool he will be in the best Liverpool team for 20 years, pushing for honours in 3 competitions immediately and 4 within a year.

Ed, what do you think, a pay cut is likely enough?

Anfield Andy {Ed002's Note - I refer to earlier answers.}

why is it that so many people don't belive that lfc is able to sign aguero

Ed considering practically all the top teams in Europe (except Barca) have had bids rejected by AM do you think they want Aguero to fulfill his dreams and wait for us to come in with a bid ? cheers, {Ed002's Note - It is not Atletico Madrid rejecting all of the bids, part of the problem is that his demainds are too high for people like Chelsea and manchester United to match.}

22 May 2011 11:12:21
OK guys just a suggestion but if your a lucky Liverpool fan going to the game today cheer on Ashley Young ! Also doubt this will work but why not let Kenny know who we want at the club that are realistic targets ? Just a suggestion but it could help ! BTW great site Ed i'm addicted lol !

22 May 2011 11:12:12
What's this talk of Davide Santon being involved on a deal to us? Would be a great buy.

If we could sign Santon along with Jan Vertonghan as the new centre half that would be excellent bit of business.

So the five signings we need this summer are.....

S. Aguero A. Madrid.
E. Hazard Lille.
D. Santon Inter.
J. Vertonghan. Ajax.
J. Mata Valencia.

The above would make our squad title contenders. For certain.

Any concrete news on the above Ed? {Ed002's Note - It won't happen I am afraid.}

--------------------

Yes I agree.

With the emergence of Kelly, Flannagan and Robinson, the gate is as good as closed for Santon.....

A left back is definitely coming in though.

Realistically we may only a target two wingers and a center back plus a backup striker (if Ngog leaves).....

Dalglish and Comollli may not be keen on a defensive midfielder if we don't qualify for Europe today....

Less the names better it is, as the players coming will definitely be QUALITY.

But I have a strong intuition that we may get a winger from Netherlands or Germany

and what's the talk about Diego coming to Anfield

{Ed002's Note - I have already explained what the situation is with Aguaro and the clubs involved. And how am I meant to answer "what's the talk"? What the hell does that mean.}"

Editor 2. you've got a problem. Why the sarcastic answers all the time? Is it because of a little ego boost that you're an 'editor' of a rumour site? Sort it out and think yourself lucky you've got followers of the site.

{Ed002's Note - I am not sure what you mean. Do you not think I have explained what has happened with Aguero on numerous occasions? How many times do I need to explain before it sinks in?}

To all those wanting or hoping for diego, can't see it happening myself, we have gerrard, lucas, meireles, shelvey, aquaman, all in CM I don't think we will be buying a CM player unless a first teamer goes... not gonna be meireles since we just bought him, not gonna be lucas since he was prob our best player this year, that leaves shelvey or gerrard. So no CM players pleasr we are stocked up there.

LIVERPOOL have ended their interest in £30million Sergio Aguero because of the Argentine ace's huge wage demands.

source- daily star

-----------------------------------------------------------

So because Kenny Dalglish has said something about disrespecting player wages etc, that automatically means that we've ended our chase of every player in the world, because they're demanding more than £5 an hour.

{Ed002's Note - What are you talking about - that is not what he said at all.}

Ed, i really do think you're understimating the pulling power of Liverpool in regards to Eden Hazard. Whilst we don't have champions league, we're still one of the biggest names in European football. Players will always want to come and play for us. I've heard hes not as keen as people think on Arsenal simply because of their lack of trophies. I think we have a very good chance of getting him imo. Kenny and Comolli will work their magic :D

{Ed002's Note - No problems then.}

22 May 2011 10:02:41
Liverpool need to stop looking at players that are not of a good enough quality to play for us.

Enrique is not good enough for the likes of liverpool, gael clichy isnt signing a contract at arsenal and wenger has said if him and nasri don't want to sign deals they will be sold, as he doest want a reoccurance of what happened with flamini 3 years ago, clichy would cost us around 7.5-8 million which is a bargain for a lb of his standards

As for a cb, i beleive scott dann is also not good enough for liverpool as we are contending for the title next season, phil jones or sakho are good enough, if jones is bought he will be a future star aswell, each of these defenders would cost around 8 million

Central midfield is so important since alonso left, we need someone that can play high balls to carrol and through balls to saurez, charlie adam is a mid table club standard not title winner standard, wolfsburg have struggled with diego and just want to get rid of him, at 9 or 10 million that is a bargain price and king kenny can get him back to his best.

We need 2 class wingers to play the right balls to carrol, hazard is young, quick and fits liverpool perfectly, however much people say he wont join it is possible and can so easily happen with a bid of 15 million plus jovanivic. The second winger should be young he would take no time to settle in and would welcome a move from villa to win some trophies next season but would cost around 20 million. If wigan were to go down however nzogbia would be on the cheap and wouldnt ask for a ridiculous pay like young, he would cost around 10 million and is a brilliant player

We also need a 3rd striker for back up and Owen would be perfect, he may be a trator but king kenny could bring him back to fitness, he knows the club in side out and is best mates with stevie and carra also he knows hes getting old and can't be a starting striker forever and would welcome a move to liverpool to play this role, with carrols injury problems as well to have owen as back up would be reassuring for the club hes also out of contract in summer

The last thing we need to finally take the title is a decent back up keeper, freidel is available and would not mind taking a 2ndry role behind reina, also rob green, leaving the prem would like a ticket back but i don't think he would welcome a move to sit on the bench, to buy one of these would cost about 3 - 5 million

We need to off load this summer and these are the players that need to leave:
Konchesky - 1.5 million to fulham
Joe Cole - 3 million to west ham
Poulson - we need to release
Jovanivic - part exchange for hazard
Brad Jones - 500k to a championship club
Aquilani - Around 10 million to juventus
Agger - (hes brilliant but never plays because hes injusy prone) we could get 10-15 million for him
Ngog - 6 million to west ham or a french club

This adds to 31-36 million plus 40 million transfer kitty equals a nice 70 million

Transfers in would cost 66million if young was bought but only 56 if nzogbia was. Next seasons line up would look like this:
Reina
Johnson Skrtl/ Sakho Carra Clichy

Hazard Diego Gerrard Young/ nzogbia

Suarez
Carrol

Bench: Freidal/ green, maxi, owen, mierless, spearing, flanagen, wilson, robinson, lucas, kelly

This looks more like a title winning line up, what do you think to the line up ed and what do you think the possibilitys of signing these players are

Tylerliverpool YNWA
{Ed002's Note - I never comment on teams as it leads to much grief. I am not convinced about all of the players you mention, but some are certainly achievable.}

22 May 2011 09:18:00
read an article today by dalglish said he wants 3 players per position 1 first teamer, 1 back up and 1 youth player with potential to break in to 1st team.

so this is what we have and what we need

keeper......REINA.....JONES......GULACSI
right back..KELLY...JOHNSON...FLANAGHAN
left back...AURELLIO....ROBINSON..O, HANLON
cen def.CARRAGHER...SKRTEL.....AYALA......
cen mid.....AGGER.....WILSON...WISDOM..
def mid.......LUCAS....SPEARING...COADY....
playmaker....GERRARD..MEIRELES..SHELVEY.
rightmid.......KUYT......RODRIGUEZ..STERLING
leftmid.........COLE.....JOVANAVIC...INCE.....
targetman....CARROLL.......?..........NGO.....
forward........SUAREZ......NGOG......PACHECO

This to me is not a bad start
1.....with reina staying and jones certain to be going a experianced back up keeper is needed BRAD FRIEDLE is out of contract and the former liverpool keeper looks happy to see out his twilight years as reina backup and help with coaching this deal will happen.

2........are rightback looks safe for years even when we get rid of degan and stephen darby who i think has reached his potential but with koncheskey, insua and possibly the liked but injury prone aurellio all going to reduse wages a big name is number 1 target we started off looking at contrao and taimo but both seem to have died down still believe we will be getting ENRIQUE.

3.........carragher seems to go on forever skrtel is decent enough and will probably be here for 1 more season at least agger is the best we have when fit .
kyriagos will go for free in summer, wilson, ayala will step up to challenge for 4th defender spot but im sure liverpool are looking for somebody to replace jamie next year and maybe a second to cover the injury prone agger GARY CAHILL has and still remains liverpools number 1 target but a bid for PHIL JONES of blackburn is seen as a double player as he can play defensive midfielder as well.

4..........for the above reason and the fact we have lucas spearing and the emerging connor coady no defencive players will come in .
gerrard, meireles, shelvey and suso are attack minded players there is a move for EDEN HAZARD on the cards and this will be only player for this position to arrive, poulsen , and aqualani will both go to help with this deal.

5.........with kuyt and the emerging amoo and sterling we do have some options in this area expect liverpool to go all out for ADAM JOHNSON of man city he struggles to get in first team now and with sanchez going to city he will be looking to move.
on the leaving front el zhar and maxi will be off in summer.
on the left massive change cole and , jovanavic are to be sold and ASHLEY YOUNG is a certainty to arrive to fill this spot, SYLVIAN MARVEAUX is seen as cover for both sides but liverpool are looking big time at ALEX CHAMBERLAIN of southampton and JAMES MCCARTHY of wigan as well.

6..........up front kuyt will be first pick to replace carroll if he gets injured but liverpool want CONNOR WICKHAM to make it 3 good headers of the ball.
the strike partner needs to be somebody to pick up the scraps suarez is great for this and pacheco will be given a chance but expect liverpool to bid for LAVEZZI kenny loves this guy and seen as a second suarez ngog will move on as not made the grade.

how does this change are position for next year

keepers..........reina.......FRIEDLE....gulacsi
rightback........kelly........johnson.....flanaghan
leftback.........ENRIQUE...wilson.......robinson.
central...........CAHILL....carragher....ayala
central...........agger......skrtel..........JONES
def mid...........gerrard....lucas.........coady..
playmaker.......HAZARD..meireles......shelvey
rightmid.........JOHNSON..MCCARTHY..sterling.
leftmid...........YOUNG....MARVEAUX..CHAMBERLAIN
targetman......carroll.......kuyt..........WICKHAM
striker............suarez......LAVEZZI....pacheco.

all 3 teams look good to me
please print this ed as i will be intrested in your opinion on my list or targets and welcome others to put there point of view.

22 May 2011 09:13:50
Ed How many wingers do you reckon we will bring in and how many players in total i say 5 max {Ed002's Note - I expect five or six players and maybe a youngster or two. Perhaps two wingers.}

Manchester United fans putting a banner on the gates of our club, 19 it said, well done to the lady who told them it had been burnt when they asked for it back, 19 long seasons an they come all the way down here, sad really that they can't enjoy there sucsess at there own ground, as when 19 comes to us next year i don't think any lfc fans would be arsed goin up to mank land to celebrate , fergie is getting old his team is getting old the time has come FOR LFC TO RECLAIM WHAT IS RIGHTFULLY THERES....

KING KENNY WILL RECLAIM THE LAND ONCE AGAIN is it just me but does nt a sir have to bow to a KING

22 May 2011 08:37:03
Not having champions league didn't stop us getting Suarez, and we were in a worse state then we are now! Hopefully some people get the bigger picture! So maybe not being in it will not be such a stumbling block to getting some good players in. Where were Manc city when they started buying everyone, Had it been us with the money to buy at the time we could have had our pick!
This is Liverpool FC, we'll always be a big attraction!

Ive been well informed that this is the likely Liverpool team for next season -(Signings in Capitals)

Reina

Johnson, Carragher, Skrtel, IZAGUIRRE,

YOUNG, Gerrard, Lucas, HAZARD,

Suarez, Carroll

Fringe Players - FREIDEL, Kelly, Aurelio, Flannagan, DANN, Meireles, Spearing, MARVEAUX, Maxi, LONG

(What are the chances Ed's)

Payne LFC {Ed002's Note - I am sorry, but I never comment on teams. If you look through the pages you can see my view on most of teh players.}

22 May 2011 00:38:12
Ed here is an idea for you. Why don't you create a tab on linked players and their likelyhood of joining us out of 10, seeing as though so many people ask for players....e.g

Ashley Young (Aston Villa) 7/ 10
Juan Manuel Mata (Valencia) 3/ 10
Jose Enrique (Newcastle) 6/ 10 etc.....just a thought. {Ed005's Note - I'll pass it on.}

Cheers, think it would keep people in touch with who we are linked with easier, and those players who appear to be absolutely out of the question....and stop the repeated asking of the same players.

Ozred {Ed002's Note - I am afraid that won't be happening. It is too much of an issue for one person to maintain it and all the grief it brings. Perhaps next year we could figure something out.}

the guy yesterday who said we are lookin at one or two dutch player may be right because my friend from krikby who has very reliable sources says afellay is almost 90% done. I'd prefer mata over afellay but something is better than nothing. you all can thank me later

ed you said there were descussions about deigo yestarday so do you know if he is a possible signing now or does he have 2 much baggage can you rate out of 10 the chance of getting him cheeres mate {Ed002's Note - 4 - it is hard to see why Liverpool should take a risk on a player who was thrown out of Juventus after a year (Juve taking a £10M loss on the transfer) and who has since walked out on Wolfsburg three times this year? I appreciate the situation at Wolfsburg is dire under Magath and the new regime. But as I said, Napoli and Liverpool are interested.}

if so then you can bet hes coming to liverpool.

22 May 2011 02:49:31
id like us to sign atleast 1 of each position of the following players. ones in capitals is my preferences

young----mata---HAZARD LM

lennon---ADAM JOHNSON RM

enrique---baines---VARGAS LB

G CAHILL---richards---dann CB

if we can get atleast 1 from each line ill be happy

What do you think about Liverpool signing Adel Taarabt.
I'm sure he'd love to come to liverpool and he looks a good future prospect, he could be played as a backup striker or winger or CAM momentarily and if he develops well, possibly break into the first term.

"JOSE" Enrique has turned down a move to Liverpool as the scousers keep getting him mixed up with Luis Enrique

Daglish is set to make a 7m move for Enrique Iglesias instead.Who said he will join only if Jonas and his brothers are signed too, expect 20m for the 3 of them

Daglish is also taking some flak from the board and may be moved back upstairs in the summer after realising he bought Andy Carroll instead of Lewis Carroll

LFCs future looks bright with our youngsters.

Left back Alex O Hanlon. Just signed good reputation highly regarded.

Right back. John Flannaghan. Brilliant little player keeps going the way he is and we'll be fine.

Centre half. Andre Wisdom. Strong (micha Richards type centre half).

Centre back. M. Kelly. To be our centre half for years to come hopefully.

Centre back. D. Ayala. Could break through next season after good loan spell with Hull, but I expect him to go on loan to a perm team next season.

Centre mid. Connor Coady. Excellent centre mid with strength and power future midfield dynamo for reds.

Centre mid. J. Spearing. Has had a good end to season, but I still think the emergence of Coady may eventually put him down the pecking order.

Left wing. R. Sterling. Looks the part and could be a world beater but hasn't played top level yet and still very young.

Right wing. Suso. This kid looks gem and can play a number of positions, still untested at highest level like Sterling and Coady but can see this kid being brilliant for us.

Striker. D. Pacheco. May move on in summer or go on loan I think personally loan him to a QPR or someone and see how he does. Could turn into a top player in a couple of seasons given a chance.

If you also add J. Robinson and Reina, Gerrard, Carragher, Johnson, Agger, Skrtle, Merellis, Carrol, Suarez, Rodriguez, Lucas and Cole.

Finally if we do have the reported great summer were supposed to then our squad would be the youngest and best in league.

S. Aguero A. Madrid.
E. Hazard Lillie.
J. Mata Valencia.
J. Vertonghan Ajax.
S. Marvuaex Rennes.
And a new left back we could dominate for a decade at least. The future is looking rosy.

the big news regarding the stadium development is that there will be a new 70,000 seater stadium built in stanley park and the funding will be provided with the 100 million new kit deal with warrior and naming rights worth 150 million probably adidas but as yet uncomfirmed and 50 million sponsorship between carlsberg and standard chartered.

what we need is not just any winger, but a steve mcmanaman style winger who dribbles that can score 10-15 goals a season, with lots of speed and pace. we haven't had a player like that since mcmanaman left in '99.

22 May 2011 00:24:12
For me the below are the best players to pursue some viable and won't happen.

P. Lahm. Out of our range but an excellent full back/ wing back who can play either flank. He would be the perfect signing with his versatility. Sadly he'd cost about 25 million so no chance.

E. Hazard. Quality player who is also versatile. Ilf reports are true we could have a gem.

J. Mata. Same as hazard brilliant and I'm hoping we get him as well as Hazard, with Hazard, Marvuaex and Mata our lack of width has been solved with quality and competition for thewing positions also.

J. Vertonghan. A classy composed centre half like Agger if we sign him ( and would be reasonably priced) we would have a quality centre half who's still young ).

S. Aguero. Another long shot butstill hoping we can bag this player as Our third striker , his astronomical release clause only applies to Spanish teams.
A possible bid of 35 might sway him this way and like Ajax we have a good relationship with them.

S. Nasri. I know know really long shot but with him at odds with Arsenal over a new deal and only 12 months left on his current contract come summer why not make an enquiry?

If we signed some of the above early summer it would show the clubs intent/ ambition. This could make him think CL football wouldn't be that bad to miss for one season.

Left back is a dilemma at the minute as who knows who's first choice for the club but if we could sign Santon from Inter I'd be more than happy. Santon can also play both wings and has bags of potential 13 million may be enough to land him.

Would you take the above Ed? And do you think some of these are likely? {Ed00

its probably going to be hard to this summer no matter how much money there is due to no CL let just hope the reputation of KK is enough to lure the qualitly player, i believe that a couple of wingers and a left back (i know stating the obvious) and maybe a bonus player or two would be enough to get back into the CL 'at least' next season. any new ashley young news ed, would also mata to join class player.
