Hi all,

After Charlie Adams' sending off last weekend, is he suspended for the Wolves game? (only asking for fantasy footy reasons, but the fantasy footy site doesn't have him listed as suspended. Just double checking).

Thanks :) {Ed001's Note - no.}

We could put a hatfull past wolves can see it happening ,if luis had left big andy stick it last sun it would have 1 all even after they played us off the park and suddenly we get belief they start to get nervous ,but once we down to 10 men had little chance and still in game untill we were reduced to 9 .The one thing we have been caught short on is luck ,gave stoke run around no joy and took us to be reduced to 9 against spurs before they put us away .Fans who are startin to panic need to look a bit closer at the last two matches and see that we are there abouts and we have been in the shake up to either win or get cl spot for last 10 seasons [even last year ]with 8/9 games to go and our end of season run in is kind so lets start this sat . red2toe

What game were you watching? They were giving us a football lesson @ 11 a side..

If you want to look at our team performance compared to Spurs, you can only really look at the first 25 minutes. Comparing a team of 11 men playing against 10 is unfair and pointless.

And yes, they did outplay us for long periods, and no-one is denying that they were the better team by a good way.
But remember we had a disallowed goal and some good attacking play, and I thought at 20 mins that we were just starting to edge back into it.

I agree with Gary Gillespie- in his commentary for LFC TV, he said at about 25 minutes that he thought LFC were beginning to get back into it- just before Adam was sent off.

But for me, the tide could easily have turned- Man U and City proved that Spurs are fragile and are there for the taking, and plenty of teams will do exactly that to them this season.

Lessons: Don't play Skrtel at RB, start with Bellamy in place of Carroll, and Kuyt instead of Henderson, and the whole game would have been very different.

Ed i have seen youn say that commolli has said that the spending is done. I have watched all his interviews and all he said was we will wait and see if anything is needed in jan. Was there any quote that i have missed or is it from something you have got from a source? {Ed002's Note - I am not going to dig out a source - it has been really well documented.}

Last minute Raul sale £12m Money may be for transfer. few of us saying we use £100m but £70m of the money from player sale. at least £50m transfer for january or we still be a avreg team fight for 4rth and finish 6th

To all Liverpool fans, I'm a Liverpool fan and I have been a fan for the last 33 years I go to all home and away games. I think we should all admit but I think Jamie carrahgar should hang up his boots, he's been very poor this season. It's been coming for a few seasons he's been getting away some very poor tackles I thing all the refs are getting wise to it. If he loves Liverpool football club I think he need to kenny,

I agree that leaving his arm wrapped around Walters was just begging for a penalty to be given, but Spearing left him no option but to take a chance against Brighton, to be fair.
And its a bit unfair to focus on one man- when the strikers have a day that they never miss any of their decent chances, then I'll criticise Carra for his errors.

Merciful Devine f*ck! The whole point of having banter pages on any of the sites is that fans can discuss issues and generally wind each other up! Seriously, if you don't like it, go somewhere else ! Ever been to a lfc match where there hasn't been banter between fans? It's an extension of that.

I am all for the banter, as long as it doesn't cross certain boundaries, ie race,creed,malice etc.

The amount of LFC fans bitching and whining bout Manc fans coming on here winding us up is quiet frankly stupid. It's called a banter page for a reason,bitching and whining to Eds bout other teams coming on here givin it loads is ridiculous, will we do the same when we go on other banter sites and give it socks, I think not!

Embrace the banter and give as good as you get within reason, Its part and parcel of football and always will be wheter you like it or not, get on with it and support ur team!

Rant over !!!

Rebel_Red

Ps: the only thing I don't like about these pages is anonymous keyboard warriors.

And calm........

Well said mate.I also dislike people who rant about little things.

The reason people don't like it at the moment is because we're losing and Utd are winning, when the tables are turned I'm sure people won't be so annoyed by it.

dmedly

In a nutshell dmedly mate, spot on.

Blair Mayne YNWA

I dont think anyone can argue with real banter but it's the abusive, witless posts that shouldn't be on here

Think we should all stop moaning about rival fans posting on here. Think we should all just ignore the comments. They'll soon get bored and bugger off.

Additional. I think when people refer to "United" we should say "who? Newcastle?".

Liverpool who? what've they won recently? lol

Ed do you think Kenny will often deploy Bellamy as a right wing this season? I think it would be a great idea considering his pace and crossing ability.

maka {Ed009's Note - I think with Gerrard back we will favour a 4-3-3 of Adam - Lucas - Gerrard
Bellamy - Suarez - Downing, on the players' current form anyway. That would certainly be the best utilisation of what we have got in my mind. What do you reckon?}

Sounds pretty good ed :)
REDS4LIFE

What about having gerrard playing behind suarez and carroll upfront?
hibsylfc

The other teams will be s**tting themselves lol , can you imagine bieng a prem manager trying to work out how to deal with suarez,downing,bellas,stevie,adam and lucas??? seriously scary attacking team imo.

As an Arsenal fan watching my team has been rather dire this year so I have been following quite a few of your matches instead....

From what I've seen I think you are only 2/3 players away from being a title challenging team for many seasons to come.

Here my thoughts on who would turn you into title challengers....

Centre Back - Gary Cahill - Perfect Carragher replacement and would come cheap as only 6 months left on contract.

Creative Midfielder - Christian Eriksen - Would add the necessary creativity to your team. Adam and Henderson don't really provide that. Also fits your younger players with high sell on price idea.

Deadly Striker - Edinson Cavani/Guisseppe Rossi - Thought when you bought Carroll it was a bad idea for the amount of money you payed. You need a deadly striker in the form of the Old Fernando Torres. A player like Cavani or Rossi would be perfect foil for Suarez.

A team that would challenge for the title:

Reina
Johnson -- CAHILL -- Coates -- Enrique
ERIKSEN -- Lucas -- Gerrard
Downing -- CAVANI/ROSSI -- Suarez

Doni
Kelly -- Carra -- Agger -- Aurelio
Henderson -- Spearing -- Adam
Maxi -- Kuyt -- Bellamy

Sorry for the length of the post :P {Ed009's Note - Good to see a rival fan coming on here and saying something constructive.}

I like that top team!

To be honest I think if we signed Lavezzi from Napoli (26 million buy out clause), one of Cahill (6 months of contract to run) or Vertonghen.

Plus if we signed one of A. Johnson ( who we tried to sign on deadline day), Or Affelay of Barca then I think we have a squad capable of challenging.

If we were in a strong league position come January I would like to see us spend the Meirelles money on Affelay who is a brilliant prospect.

If we could also snatch Cahill for a reduced fee in January that would also be a good piece of business for us and strengthen our suspect back line. He would probably cost in region of 7 million. Therefore Affelay and Cahill for a combined fee of 15-17 million I'll be happy.

Lavezzi would be the biggest coup of them all and 26 million is a reasonable price in this day and age for a quality player.

So for me a treble signing of Lavezzi, Affelay and Cahill would do for me.

Ed can you see these being reds in the future like I do (hope)?

{Ed002's Note - It is the same answer as it was when you asked the same question earlier. I have explained my views on January - Comolli has explained his, and there is not another £40M plus to spend.}

Or negredo

Ed same I pad different user but also same opinion.

Affellay has just injured his ACL & is expected to have an op & be out for a few months. According to Twitter

Coxy82

Agree that we need another top class CB, as Agger is never fit for long enough to rely on him, and Skrtel isn't quite good enough to deal with the really top drawer PL strikers, and Carra is running out of pace, albeit gradually.
Not sure about Cahill though- he was very good but been a bit inconsistent this season, and he's not a ball-player like Agger. But who is there?

Also a deadly striker, but one who can also pass and move.

And yes, this year its about top 4, but to challenge for the top I do think we need someone like eriksen

Ed001 I cant really say too much about bellamy last season as i didnt watch too many cardiff games last season. Am i right in saying he picked up a knee injury as well at cardiff. But two seasons ago he was citys best player i remember when they hammered chelsea. He hasnt lot much pace it seems either watching him this season but he seems to pick a pass at the right time.

Thanks
Mighty reds

{Ed009's Note - He did pick up another injury last season, but if he can stay fit he will be such an asset. We lacked pace and a cutting age before his transfer. Hopefully he can solve that.}

22 Sep 2011 20:37:29
Ed, seriously can you please just not post the bullsh*t that enemy team posters are posting! It's just getting worse with knobs such as "Sir Alex x" just trying to wind us up. I honestly don't see the point in posting their carp.

maka {Ed002's Note - It is a two way street - if there is a strong push to stop it it means the Liverpool posters on the Manchester United pages will need to stop.}

But surely you could just not post the stuff LFC fans or City fans etc. post on other fans walls which is obviously there to aggravate fans?

maka {Ed001's Note - then there would be no real point in having a banter page on any of the sites. I really don't see the problem, people need to learn to take it as a joke.}

Yeh of course, but some of it is just plain abusive, e.g. the arsenal fan who posted as scousers are scum.

maka

Maybe the Ed is saying you can go to the arsenal page and call the gooners scum? Because apparently that is banter.
I agree with maka - its the only thing that really annoys me about this site.

22 Sep 2011 20:19:17
Some of the posts about we need this player and that player makes me laugh we have a great squad surely its about making the players we have got already better. Jan is along way off anyway so why worry about players we have not got.

Also great post about Suarez he is a winner and the same as Bellamy and thats what you need in todays game.

Eds do you think that Bellamy is a player who as got better with age and knows when to run and when not too now. He seems a lot more composed on the ball.

Mighty reds {Ed001's Note - it is hard to say, at times last season he was awful, but he seemed disinterested at Cardiff. I think he needs to be challenged to bring out the best in him.}

22 Sep 2011 20:11:10
Kenny Dalglish: "The football club is more important than one individual, including myself. I'm sure the players realise that. Although there will be a disappointment if you aren't playing, I think there's an understanding as well."

Well said Kenny, don't play Andy Carrooll, he is not good enough, don't think he will come good in the near future better sell him soon.
Henderson also needs to be dropped to the bench he didn't deserve to be on the starting eleven especially in the expense of Dirk Kuyt.

For me maxi deserves the place just for what he did at the end of last season. that will in turn then motivate henderson.

downing, gerrard, lucas, maxi
luis, bellamy

we wont need wingers to cross the ball in because this group likes to play the ball on the ground and if we need balls in kelly and enrique will suffice.

Some people on here attacking Suarez attitude, I dont get your argument. Suarez is a competitor a winner,will he leave? Yes eventually but remember he joined when we were at our lowest point HE IS NOT A GLORY HUNTER! Read his interviews and tweets he is a team player with unrivalled hunger to win. Suarez gives his team mates hell and even Stevie G does not escape his wrath but most of all he is hardest on himself. Suarez is a leader a real fighter he came from Uraguay to Holland and became captain of Ajax he could be a future captain for us. So when he looks pissed off be gratefull this means alot to Luis Suarez, HE GETS IT!

Dont Buy the Sun

100 % agree mate.
If they all had his attitude and determination we wouldn't have lost those two games.
The man is a bloody legend.

True! Great post mate, well said!

from the day I follow this site so far never even visit any other club rumers city, chelsea, man u what ever. but why few of there suporter come here and post some craps... {Ed002's Note - It is a two way street.}

22 Sep 2011 18:32:30
suarez hasnt looked himself the past 2 games

Who has he looked like then?

I think Suarez will improve and score a hatful of goals over the next 4 weeks. With Gerrard in the team and taking over play-making duties, Kenny will get Suarez to be more focused on making runs nearer the penalty rather than playing in the hole.

I think he's looked like a big wus?

No one did against spurs(and had a goal disallowed which was offside still he did finish it) and he set up a goal and got close a fair few times yesterday.

22 Sep 2011 18:26:24
right now liverpool need a quality pacy right winger and a top striker in the same mould as the old torres to partner suarez or replace him when injured, if not a striker then an attacking midfielder to eventually replace gerrard, please dont tell me henderson is that cos he aint, im talking someone like mousa sissoko, strong, fast, good control, good shot and a leader. RedTurk

Is it just me or does Coates look as slow and cumbersome as Carra? Yes, he will be great and commanding in the air, but sh#t he turns like an ox. Guess you lot will all say he is adjusting just like Carra has been doing all his career.

And what is with Suarez's attitude of late. Starting to remind me of a spoilt brat who thinks he is better than he has proved himself to be. Finishing needs some work, perhaps stop bashing his own players all the time as well as ref/linesman and get on with it.

Think your on a wrong site my slightly retarded friend Coates is by far a better buy than the likes of Jones

MJ

Disagree with the obvious anti liverpool fan about coates but totally diasgree with MJ about jones. he has gone in straight away and you cant tell both ferdinand and vidic are missing. jones cost more but rightly so he has more experience in the prem and he has already proven he is worth more than what man utd paid.

Can't imagine Jones getting the same accolade as Coates did during Copa ...

He Just play half match and start to say this that. wait until january to say what he can do.

Suarez is going to pair up with Tom Daly. Synchronized diving.

Whoeva said they cant imagine jones doing what coates did in copa they need to open there eyes. jones is almost 2 yrs youngers and is pushing for a place in the england defence already something that has taken cahill jagielka yrs 2 do. also who was coates competing against. brazil are far from there glory days and have a gd side but nothing that compares to previous squads they have had. argentina on paper should be winning every game they play. forward 3 or messi aguero tevez should beat any team but it doesnt because they cant work together. remind of holland team from 5-10yrs ago. yh coates played well in copa america but against the competition wasnt their and was a walk in the park for uruguay and something
jones could do in his sleep.

Completely agree about Coates,and although this was his 1st 1full game,he looked very slow and cumberson,not once did I see him put a decent challange in,and as for pace,wot pace,I wanted LFC to sign a vidic type of centre half,one who dominates and puts challenges in,but no we have signed a donkey as far as I am concerned.As for the performance last night apart from the 1st 20 mins the rest was utter garbage,we are THE ONLY team that invites teams to attack us,we play far too deep,changes need to be made and quick. {Ed009's Note - Why do people always insist on complaining? Coates has played one game for us; ONE GAME, and despite that he is being panned by supporters who don't seem to understand the definition of support. You're right; "changes need to be made and quick" - changes with a small portion of our fans.}

Ahhh the difference between a fan and a SUPPORTER is so transparent. Coates has played one game so dont judge him. SUPPORT your team

cozinoz

Coates is the replacement CB we've needed, since Hyppia left. We've never really replaced Hyppia untill now. Sami wasn't blessed with pace either, but he is still one of the best CB's we've ever had.

Way too early to judge a kid after one game. Phil Jones had a rocky start to his career and he was born here. Coates has to settle into a new Club, City, Country and Contenant. It's a big ask of someone so young, but he'll be a fantastic signing for us.

Blair Mayne YNWA

I'd prefer to see rival poster's comments, no matter if some find it offensive, on the banter page. At least it's way easier to deal with than reading "fans" on here rip the team apart in so little a timescale and so few games this season so far.

JWALK, i'm thinking of moving to Preston, dont know what area though. Any good were you live, where abouts area any good pubs, would be right to meet up with a fellow red for a pint. Jonson6

I lived there for 15years ....not a bad place nice areas Fulwood, barton ,sherwood. Avoid ingol , tanterton, larches

22 Sep 2011 16:58:41
At the moment, this would be my first team:

Reina
Johnson--Carra--Agger--Enrique
Gerrard--Lucas--Adam
Kuyt--Suarez--Downing

so our second team is:

Doni
Kelly--Skrtel--Coates--Aurelio
Henderson--Spearing--Shelvey--Maxi
Bellamy--Carroll

Now for me that's the best 2nd team we've had in years, but I think we're still a couple of players short of a great first team and a couple more short of a great squad {Ed009's Note - I would swap Bellamy for Kuyt and you have my first team too. Perhaps Coates for Carra when he beds in that bit more.}

------------reina
kelly--carra--coates--enrique
----------------lucas
----------gerrard
downing-------------bellamy
------------suarez
carroll

a free moving and interchanging diamond just infront of lucas. that's my 1st eleven with stevie back fit. kelly and enrique really pushing on, bellamy and downing free to interchange and suarez coming into the hole that he likes to occupy.

Hey everyone - Liverpool are just the greatest ever football club - bar none !!!!!!!

In the past, now & in the future - I just love them.

All those shallow Mancs know that too, Chelsea know it and so do Arsenal.

We have the best club, the best manager and by far the best supporters.

Well I'm going for another pint now !!

Pass and move…this team which includes the 3 that never were certainly would…

----------Reina-----------

Johno-Coates-Agger-Enrique

----------Lucas----------

----Gerrard-----Silva------

Suarez--------------Mata
----------Augero---------

Why punish your self mate.

Silva already itching for a move back to spain (to make spanish team as he reckons he won't in EPL), Mata still has a lot to do to convince me, can't defend to save his life. Aguero will pull a Rooney to move either in Jan or end of season. Watch.

I'm not punishing myself, I'm dreaming, I dont care where they move to or who they play for now or in the future, I admit they will never play for liverpool -its just a dream team of our captain and young attacking magicians, surely you can appreciate and envisage the football that would be played with these players, the 5 attackers are without a doubt world class; perfect touch, turn, control, vision, movement, accurate passes, accurate shots, pace the f-ing lot.

@Redeyedhector, Blair Mayne, Matthew

Look, I'm not unhappy that you're "bantering". I'm unhappy because you're doing it on this site.
You may not like to hear it, but some of us on here aren't one iota interested in your inane, inconsequential, annoying ramblings that you call "banter.

It's not about whether you and/or your Man Utd buddies are entitled to "banter" and "enjoy" it, no.
It's all about the fact that for the majority of the fans on, it's a NUISSANCE.
Folk are averse to it.

Some fans, such as I, would rather discuss LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB, WITH LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB fans.
The common feeling is that this so-called banter does shi*t all but degrade this site (to a large degree, @Suffolk'n Red articulates this point).

So the suggestion here is by no means to ban or stop folk engaging in "banter".
It's to merely create another site where Mayne, Hector, Matthew etc can do their playing without any of us non-interested parties seeing it.

This "skip it if you don't like it" retort is simply nonsensical and futile.
First off, to not like it, you've to have read it and concluded that you don't like it.
Folk will read every post and react the way they react.
Nothing you can do about it.

Much as this is Ed001's site, fair to say that it was created for the fans, and so logically, the fans, the users of this site without whom it's nothing, deserve to have somewhat of a say in how things roll on here?

Ed002's position on the matter has always been: some of our own post trash on the United site as well, so tit-for-tat.
In short, only when Mayne, Hector etc intrusions on the United forum cease will United's trolls and rogues be banned posting on here.

I believe I've suggested a reasonable mutually-beneficial solution here.
Anyone opposed to it is perhaps a bigot intent and hellbent on thrust this useless "banter" on everyone.

As for my "continuous rants" irritating some, well, tough sh*t, boys!
Not my fault you haven't the faintest idea of the concepts: right to an opinion and difference.
Till you sort that aspect out, this "big girls blouse" that is me will be an incessant nuissance.
"Big girls blouse"... like it, Mayne lol!

Baie dankie

Ray Burmeister

Where you from in SA Ray?

Fensh

I found your last rant when you called me and others p*ick's a little offensive,it's like a spoilt child having a spat because they carn't get their own way.
And yes you can skip post,like I skip yours.It's easy, you see who's name is at the bottom and guess what? you skip it.
May be if the Ed opened a boring boring rant page you my friend would top the pile.
So Ray I don't care what you want or care to read what you write.
And I will show more respect to you and not call you a p*rick.
Redeyedhector

Are you suggesting Ray, that i stop going onto the Manc site to stop them coming on here?

Again grow up mate!

This is a football banter site not a playground, were we push each other on the swings all day. You keep saying "skip it if you don't like it, is nonsensical and futile" But isn't that part of which this site is about? It's obvious you don't like the BANTER that some have on here with the Mancs. Therefore you have the option to "skip it if you don't like it", it's simple really.

If you want to take this arguement outside remember, i'm a black belt at Nintendo.

Blair Mayne YNWA {Ed002's Note - I think the feeling is Blair that banter is fine, but there are limits. So if Manchester United lose a game, perhaps you could leave it a couple of days before taunting them about it. Otherwise you will hurt peoples feelings.}

The last thing i want to do Ed002, is hurt people's feelings. Next time United get beat, i promise to sit on my hands and be a good boy, how's that mate?

Blair Mayne YNWA

Didn't sir alex do exactly that on here after both the stoke and spurs games? But still, you've just got to let it ride. What's the point in getting wound up over it?

This editor has seen the problem:-

{Ed009's Note - I agree that a world class finisher, along with more pace and creativity in midfield (though that will largely by supplemented by Gerrard's return) is our biggest worry right now.}

"pace and creativity in midfield"

I wish !

Totally agree but a world class finisher would cost world class wages ( possibly in excess of £150,000 ) and im not sure our owners would pay that much plus another gerrard type or suarez type of player would make us soooo much stronger

MJ

Hi eds who do you think will play CB with Carra on sat i would stick with Coates i think his position play is really good and playing with Carra he is only going to learn and get better?

Has Gomez become a british citizen or something recently? lol

I have to say I'm still a tad angry with the team selection on sunday.

Was Kelly unfit? If he wasn't I do believe the game would have been an entirely different story had he been playing at right back and Kuyt starting on the right with Bellamy up front with Suarez.

In any event I still believe if Adam hadn't been sent off we may have got something out of the game. We had just started to show signs of turning the tide (the disallowed goal) and were entering a spell of possession.

I still fancy us for top three. We play good football and will generally command the lionshare of possession in most games. The only thing that concerns me is that we're not converting enough of the chances we have.

As good a footballer as Suarez is (his main attribute being his movement) he does not possess that clinical eye for goal. Carroll certainly hasn't got it as his jobs something altogether different. Bellamy will chip in with goals and is probably a better finisher than Suarez but is more adept at coming in from the flanks.

The crying shame is that we no longer have Torres. He is the perfect forward to partner either Bellamy or Suarez with their movement and willingness to come deep for the ball.

One world class out and out centre forward is all we are missing for a Title push. In my opinion, we do not possess a natural goal scorer in the mould of Rush, Fowler, Owen or Torres. Until we have one we will play fantastic football but fall short of the level needed for a Title challenge. It is the only difference between us and Utd at the moment.

We should've been 5 up last night in the first half, Bolton 6 or 7 rather than 3-1, sunderland should've been seen off by half time at 3 nil and Stoke beaten 3-1.

Ozone {Ed009's Note - I agree that a world class finisher, along with more pace and creativity in midfield (though that will largely by supplemented by Gerrard's return) is our biggest worry right now.}

To be fair Ed009, im happy with our midfield. With Gerrard back I feel we now have options and a balanced structure.

With Adam and Gerrard in the middle, we have a left and right sided passing regime so I'm convinced the creativity will come. We just need to start converting the chances we create.

My overriding concern is the sort of money and the wages required to bring in the polished striker. With FSG's wage policy, I can't see as we will be able to bring in an 'off the shelf' striker.

Sterling and Morgan are still a few years away from the first team, so unless Commolli unearths a hidden gem, I can't see us being able to find what we need to finish the revamp off in the short term.

Ozone

Ed 009 I agree a world class finisher is needed but give us a name who you would realistically like. I think Oscar Cordoza would be hard to beat.

Dont Buy the Sun {Ed009's Note - Cardozo is a great player but he is getting on a little now at 28. I am a big fan of Welliton but he is only proven in the Russian league, so Comolli etc may well consider it too much of a risk. Mark my words he will make a big money move some time soon and we may well regret it if we miss out on him.}

I think Rossi would be a fantastic signing, but will probably end up somewhere else. Keep Bellamy for a couple of years, and hope young Adam Morgan can furfill his potentional. Then we wouldn't have to look elsewhere.

Blair Mayne YNWA

I'm hoping Suarez' scoring record at Ajax means he has the potential to be a clinical finisher, he's just not showing it atm. If we take the burden off him creatively then he can score loads. Same with Carroll really - I'm tired of seeing him cock up 5 yard passes in our own half. Leave him up front and let Gerrard, Adam, Downing, Enrique, Lucas and Johnson provide him with chances

Red Ollie

I totally agree with Ozone - I am very happy with the midfield currently - we're creating lots of chances but just need someone to put them away.
Ed009 - what about Darren Bent? I have always admired him, lots of pace scores different types of goals and don't think wages would be problem. Villa might not be willing to sell though......thanks.

JRG {Ed009's Note - Bent would be a good option but, having made the move of, potentially, 24 million last summer I imagine he would not come cheap. The fact that Villa have lost their two other attacking lights already will make it even harder. If they do badly this season, that could change. He is easily unsettled.}

Suarez is the Spaniard defector mach 2. I think he will go even sooner, he looks a glory boy with a big ego too. Hope Im wrong, but don't like the tantrums and bashing his own team mates all game. Will isolate himself or get a golf club to the head.

Carra did it again! Gave away another penalty. Wonder when will KK see that he is giving away cheap penalties and free kicks. Not a hope if KK keeps playing him for a full 90 min.

-------------------------------------------------

I also think Carras on his last legs. However after seeing the contrast between an emerging young centre half in Coates and a well versed and weathered centre half in Carra, I'm hoping he still has a few years in him as I'll take the odd mistake here and there. Coates looked similar to Hendo, a bit star struck and certainly didn't look comfortable in the tackle or defending the aerial threat against a small team!! He's only a young lad and will need time to grow into the role. We desperately need Carra around for the forseeable future. We need his spirit, his ability to read the game, his organisational skills and his tough tackling.

Ozone

I agree with Ozone re Carra. But last night's penalty...come on. If spearing had let it go or diverted it for a throw we would have had a clean sheet. But Carra was there again, as always, to make the tackle after someone else's mistake. Give him a break eh and watch him mentor the stars of the future.

You sound fed up with carra ,remember all the times he has saved us in passed just think

We all don't deny he has done well for us in the past. But we can't live with his memories. We have to move on and develop the present team. He could play a smaller role or perhaps in a coaching capacity but not the full 90min as some of the fans seem to be suggesting. I think we still need someone with a commanding presence in the defence and certainly not Carra.

hi eds could you post this does anyone know how to set up google chrome to view football matches
{Ed002's Note - HOW TO WATCH FOOTBALL ON THE INTERNET (WITH THANKS TO RED LENIN)
1. Install the browser Google Chrome.

2. Look in the top right (your right) corner and you will see a spanner.

3. Click on the spanner and select 'tools'.

4. Click on extensions

5. At the bottom right (as you look at it) you will see 'Get More Extensions >>'. Select this.

6. In the search box type 'Chrome Live Football' and search.

7. Click on Chrome Live Football and then click on install. (it may download to a holding file in the bottom left as you look at it, in which case as soon as it's finished click there, but mostly it will install itself)

8. A small football will then appear in the top right (as you look at it). Click on that, select 'live stream' and reset the clock to GMT and it will list all the live games available all over europe and other places.

You may occasionally need to install other programmes or the link you pick will only work on Explorer (in which case cut and paste the URL into Explorer), but you will always get every EPL match (or any other). Sometimes you will only be able to find it with foreign commentary and sometimes you will get it in English. You'll get about thirty links and you may have to look through a lot of them to get what you want. You will also get most La Liga matches, Greek matches, Italian matches and French matches as well as top matches from South America.

Someone also asked about viruses etc. Google Chrome is actually far more secure than Internet Explorer so the risks are considerably less, but you should have decent virus/spyware programmes and run sweeps regularly as a matter of course.

The quality will also depend on the speed of your internet connection. If you have super-speed and have a modern HD TV, consider connecting your PC to the TV via the PC socket on the side/ back.

Cut and paste the above into a document and save it for future reference.
}

I think the real test of our top 4 credentials will come when we get multiple injuries, as you always do at times in the season.

When everyone's fit, my first team would be Johnson, Coates, Agger and Enrique, with Downing, Adam, Lucas and Gerrard, and Suarez and Bellamy.

But with good quality competition in most positions who are hungry to get a starting place- such as Kuyt, Carroll, Maxi, Spearing, Henderson, Aurelio, Carra, Kelly, not to mention the youngsters like Flanagan, Robinson, Coady and maybe Morgan- we can keep up the pressure where in recent seasons we've stumbled, and that will make a real difference against a lot of teams.

For the first time in ages we could almost put out a 'second' team that would still give most PL teams a real good run for their money.

Martin Kelly would be one of the first names on my team sheet without doubt. The lads quality, far better than Johnson. If he gets a good run unfettered by injury, he will in no doubt be an England regular.

Ozone

Hamstring or back injury waiting to happen. Johnson also now a waste of space, play Flanno or buy a quality RB. Leave Kelly as CD backup, won't pull muscles every week there.

We would never win a game with your team. no goalkeeper.

I hope by now your predictions of winning the title are slowly diminishing ..... along with being in top four! How is Dogleash still in a job? hes done worse then woy hodgson? your favouritism will be your downfall.

JWalk

Is that it JWalk is this a master class in banter,tut,tut next please.
Redeyedhector

What the hell you talking about you toolbag.
king henry

Utter drivel

The last time i read one of your posts about Liverpool JWalk, it was very, very vicious. And had nothing to do with football whatsoever, and was soon deleted. That's the reason i stopped responding to you on the Manc page, i like a bit of banter but some of your posts are not banter.

It wouldn't supprise me at all, if you were from Salford or a subscriber to "Republic Of Mancunia" website, they are full of hatred too (as are some LFC sites).

Blair Mayne YNWA

Ps. Last time i respond to you JWalk, you're not worth the time.

My mission is complete then Blair! Thank god. Oh and blah mayne, it was your prediciton at the start of the season that you lot would be winning, im just pulling you up on it, get of your high horse pal it does not suit you. P.S lived in Manchester all my life before recently moving to Preston, not that it matters in the absolute slightest.

JWalk

Manchester and Preston what made you live in such wonderful places...

Dear Eds & Reds,

If the Mancs come on here engaging in Banter, bring it on, give as good as you get. No doubt we will give it loads to them on their site, when they will suffer a change in fortunes, life wud be bloody boring if we cudnt wind each other up.

The only time when banter isn't banter is when you cross lines with race, creed, malice etc otherwise get over it, its gonna keep happening, deal with it.

Rebel_Red

Rebel-Red, some of you liverpool fans cannot take banter and go crying to the eds boo hoo, big bad mancs said naughty things about lfc boo hoo

I think you better check your banter page first and see some of the post your lot write when we come on to the manc page.
Redeyedhector

The Mancs go crying too unnamed poster, when we are on their site. But it's never Sydney/Spoof/Uncle Malcolm, Matthew, Shappy etc, etc..they can take it.

I've a brother who's a season ticket holder at OT (Stretford End), i'm getting it worse than most at the moment me thinks?

Blair Mayne YNWA

Ps. The bro is as thick as 2 short planks, hence him being a Manc.

i have a massive question,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, when will Steven Gerrard be fit and make his return to the first team..

because i have heard his career is over, his groin is shot and thats why Kenny bulked up in midfield this year. oh and my favourite one is that he was seen leaving melwood in tears after being told there was no return.

god i love this site, so many blue and spam on here, it does make me cringe to think they actually believe we would listen.

he is back

With the must-win game against Wolves only 48 hours away and after having witnessed a return to the type of football we played under Kenny last year, I would honestly like to see more or less the same side except perhaps Skrtel slotting back into his central defence position (But only till Agger gets fit) and Enrique returning at left back. Keep maxi and Kuyt in the side as their link up play and understanding with Suarez and Bellamy were excellent.

Let the likes of Henderson warm the bench so they learn that they are not guaranteed a game no matter how many million we paid for them.

Sorry I meant to say Downing to sit it out too

Henderson i agree with, however downing has been one of our most creative players thus far and maxi tends to drift in and out of games, great when he's involved by anonymous for long spells.

Andy C

Sure, sit best player we bought out and only genuine wideman out. Genious.

How about tell Downing to stay on the left, take fullbacks on, get to the byline and put some decent crosses in.

How about that?

The reason I want Downing to be on the bench is because his contribution thus far could have been better. How many of his crosses have led to a goal and how many has he scored?
He needs to appreciate that at LFC nothing more than 110% will do.

Can honestly say there are four teams better than ours in the prem this season. That being said would mean no 4th spot no champions league next season and the end of Kennys management. I think unless we sign well in January then the fore mentioned would be the sequance if events. I'm not slating KK or anything he has done i just dont think he has done the best he could of with the money spent. He has made a couple of great signings but most of the rest i don't think are of good enough standard to get us back to where we belong. As said but most in football '' no one is bigger than the club''. That should count for the manager aswell as the players. If we dont get that 4th spot then come hell or high water i would hope and expect Kenny to be gone .

I really hope you are a Manc coming on here to wind us up? Apart from the game against Spurs and the second half against Sunderland and Brighton the football this season has been the most entertaining, attractive and attacking since probably Roy Evans was manager. We are currently going through a transition period and trying to build for the future.
Let's take Man U as an example as they are unfortunately the yardstick. It took Ferguson 6-years to install a winning mentality into his players and win his first trophy! Do you know that during that period they finished 11th twice and 13th once? Look at the success they are having now because they stood by their manager.
The problem is that expectation has always been high at our club but with KK returning and turning us into the team with the second best record in the league during his time last season and then spending reasonably high in the summer that expectation has grown too high. Yes there are better teams than ours in the league but we cannot catch them up by simply flicking a switch, these things will take a bit of time.

JRG

Fergie did not spend big in the 6 years running up to his first league trophy. If we don't get forth this season then we are going backwards. You cant disagree with that. 6th or 5th is not enough of an improvement. Hate to admit this but fergie is a better manager than Kenny if we cant get 4th this season. Thats a fact. I'm not saying we should win the league this season i'm saying if we cant get 4th the we have spent very badly and would not of improved enough.

You are kidding right? Ferguson never spent big? Bruce, Pallister, Hughes (club record), McClair, Ince, Anderson, Wallace all big-money signings at the time. Are you saying these were bad signings even though they finished as low as 13th? Most of these ended up winning the league a few years later (and all British BTW).
Man U, Man C and Chelsea are obviously better equipped than us currently to challenge for the top 4 - that leaves Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool fighting for the fourth place. Spurs are in the best position at the moment as they have a settled team and manager while us and Arsenal have undergone team rebuilding. We have no divine right to finish in 4th place although I am confident that we will finish there as I have confidence in the management.

JRG

Well we know Arsenal are going to struggle for a while yet, so I presume you think Spurs are the team that are better than us?

Do you think Man U or any other side are going to get 8 goals past us?
Spurs had a great 25 minutes- the rest of the game was irrelevant in terms of comparing them.

We've had better results and better performances than Spurs so far, and there's no reason to think that will stop.

For example, our worst result was that 4-0 with 9 men on the pitch. Theirs was 8-2! How pathetic do you have to play, to ship 8 goals in one game, with 11 men still on the pitch?

Sorry mate, Spurs are our main competitors for 4th, and for every team they run over, they get a hiding form the next one- just wait and see.

This is so defeatist I can only assume you're a troll, not an LFC fan.

Good to see Gerrard back but I noticed he avoided physical stuff and he seems to have a slight limp affecting his left leg. RED LENIN.

Yeah I noticed he had a twitch and spoke with a stutter also.........

JRG

Watch a re-run on LFCTV if you don't believe me. You will notice him limping slightly on his left leg. RED LENIN

Red Lenin..You are such a plank.

I was at the game....he seemed ok to me! PJ RED

Like it when he rush back to help defance thats Gerrard and his best. 1st game 15 minute in 6 month ofcorse he is not his best yet.

ED002

I have always or nearly always been complementary to you and your style of editing, fancy coming over to the Conspiracy forum? {Ed002's Note - I may take a look when I have some time. It can be hard to believe the conspiracy pages though - I remember back in 1963, there I was on a grassy knoll in Texas cleaning my rifle and ...}

Maybe Ed002 you could help out Chris from "that crap town" Tamworth.
He seems to have upset the natives over their as well as Jonson6 here, he could do with some friends...maybe the fishing talk lot will be more hospitable?

dmedly

I actually think Chris talks sense most of the time.

I believe in Conspiracy but some of the stuff on the conspiracy is just drivel. In the last 2 days its descending into a place not for the faint hearted!

Just don't talk to Chris about any gods!

Hey Reds,

Am flipping delighted with the win last night. Brighton could have harmed us.

A big shout out to DK. Kuyt has always put in 110% and I thank him for that. He gets on with the game no matter where the gaffer plays him. He loves us and we love him.

Much Much respect Mr. Kuyt. I wish everyone had the passion for LFC that you do.

Reddie Sixx
----------------------------------
Just a little word for Maxi too. A good performance. Excellent interaction with Suarez, Kuyt and Bellamy.

Maxi is very underated. You don't play for Argentina and hold down his place in the Argentina squad for over 10 years if he didn't have alot of excellent qualities. And he scored that wonderful goal of the tournament in Germany 2006 against Mexico. Class.

Some have said he had a bad game, and I don't remember him getting lots of touches, but when it counted he did.

He could see Bellamy was making a run, and he held up the ball under pressure just long enough for Bellamy to get on the end of that pass.

I reckon a lot of players would have mis-hit the pass under pressure, but he kept his cool and weighted it perfectly.

We do seem to pass and move better when he's on the pitch, to be honest.
And two hat tricks have got to tell you something about his clinical abilities.

We beat Brighton 2-1, i can not see how that could or should delight any premier league side let alone Liverpool fans.

Carra did it again!! Gave away another penalty. Wonder when will KK see that he is giving away cheap penalties and free kicks. Not a hope if KK keeps playing him for a full 90 min.

Maxi reminds me a little bit of David Platt - never see them much in the game but will then suddenly pop up with an assist or a goal (or three in Maxi's case).

JRG

Reddie Sixx, Amen to that my Red Brother!

Dirk has been the subject of far too much criticism on this site over the years.
You just need to watch him play to see the passion he has for Liverpool.
And that is all I ask for from any of our players.
If they all had the same passion and always gave the same effort as Dirk ALWAYS does......
I reckon we'd win the League.

I no it was more spearings fault with the penalty but why did carra have to lunge in the way he did i just think some times he's over the top and wreckless.

Maxi should be ahead of Henderson without question, his running off the ball is wonderful and goes unnoticed most of the time.
Nobody can honestly argue that we don`t play better footie without Carroll in the team, you can make all the excuses under the sun for him but he just doesn`t fit.
As for Kuyt, wondeful bloke, great attitude who works for the team, both minimum requirements by the way. I expect all that and abilty/ball control etc.. this is where he isn`t that good. Now given the choice of him, Hendo, Carroll he would get in my team all day long.

@Dont Buy the Sun
22 Sep 2011 09:53:34

Take a bow, lad. Absolute belter of a post that.
Best I've read by a country mile in a long time on here.

Getting to my main point.
It's been a pain in the arse coming onto this site the past few days owing to the annoying and tedious intrusions by the Manchester trolls and rogues who just can't seem able to keep their unwelcome paws off this place.
I quite frankly am fed-up now.

I appreciate that there are also a coupla weasels from our side who go and post rubbish on their site.
Fair to say that they too are pricks, utter nuissance.

I'm sure the majority of us on here would rather we neither saw nor smelt any Manchester United fan on our site.

My suggestion to you editors, is that you create a new site/banter page that will serve as a play ground for both our and Manchester United trolls.
All Man Utd-Liverpool intrusions shall be redirected to that site.

That way, whoever wants to engage in "banter"/trolling with the other side will do so on that site and those of us who want no involvement in this nonsense won't be affected.

Ed001 has always raised the defence of "banter" whenever this issue comes up. Well, what I'm suggesting here is a wholly beneficial solution: those who "banter" will continue doing so and those who want none of this "banter" won't have to hear none of it. New, separate play field for Blair, ......lfc and their Man Utd pals.

So what do you say, ed?

Baie dankie

Ray Burmeister

Ray , let people have a bit of fun , i think you take life too seriously ffs........lfc

I do remember one of the Eds saying that the LFC fans were the worst offenders for trolling other fans pages, so we can hardly complain if some of them are now doing the same thing, annoying though it usually is when its just ill-considered rubbish or anti-LFC bile.
If it's funny, as with some of Sir Alex x's stuff, then it's not so bad.
With those ones you might almost be having a bit of banter with a workmate on a Monday morning, so it can be funny in a good way, as opposed to just blind hatred (I loved that one about us being in a relegation 6 pointer with Wolves on saturday!).

For me the worst are the ones who try to seem as if they are LFC fans but clearly aren't, and who post things like 'we have to realise we are no longer a top 4 side, and our highest ambition should be to avoid relegation' etc, etc.
It would be funny if it wasn't so obvious and so pathetic.
{Ed002's Note - Banter is fine and to be encouraged. Anything abusive or with malice really needs to be avoided.}

Ray Burmeister - I think you need to grow up lad.

Matthew... ;)

I am inclined to agree with Ray - I appreciate banter, that's a form of subjective viewpoint from within the fan base of a single club - but some of the smoting crap that is posted here is off putting. I've often wanted to post on the Man u site, but can't bring my self to do do it. If I was it would just be pointless. Maybe there could be a site dedicated to those who just want to throw insults at others in the name of their club - Im not sure as it is it adds to the site, for me - just one individual it actually detracts significantly. There is little real merit in most of the posts (either way I suspect) other than slating one another with a different variety of words expressing the exact same sentiments, puts me off... but that's just one point of view!

Suffolk'n Red

"Boo Hoo" the Mancs are picking on us "Boo Hoo"

Grow a set of balls Ray, you big girls blouse. I'd rather read the Mancs humerous posts, than your continious and never ending rants. This isn't yours, mine or any other fans site, so everyone is welcome on all sites.

It's not a coincidence after winning 5 games out of 5, that the Mancs are on here. I would be on the Manc page all day if we were in their position. That's the nature of "BANTER", is this so hard to understand? The negative posts on here after the Spuds match was depressing, then along came the Mancs and the "BANTER" began.

Take the rough with the smoove mate, or grow a set of balls. If you think that the Mancs or anyother clubs fans will refrain from giving us "BANTER" then you're thicker than i thought and you're in for a long season.

Blair Mayne YNWA

All my life I have had banter with Man utd fans,Ray if your not happy with the lfc and mufc banter on this page,go and start your own site.

Am not saying carroll is better than suarez but suarez needs to improve his finishing. If carroll had missed the amount of chances suarez has people would want him hanged.

Carroll needs to play in the so called easier games eg wolves at home because liverpool will probably win comfortably and then people would be on Carroll case saying we play better without him

Some notable misses by suaraz that i remember:

penalty vs sunderland
1v1 vs bolton
sitter at death vs stoke
easy chances vs brighton

thought welcome

The Dark Knight

I think he may be tired mate it would have been a long summer for him.
king henry

So its ok to make excuses for suarez but not carroll who has been injured alot and hardly played a few games together

The Dark Knight

I agree that he's missed some good chances.
It's a bit unfair that if Carra puts a foot wrong his mistake often results in a pen or a goal, but mistakes at the other end are just as costly, and as you say Luis has missed some very good chances recently that could have rescued a game.

But I don't think he has had a proper physical break after the Copa America, and it may be catching up with him

He does look a bit tired and frustrated at times, and he's not quite back up to the level of genius he showed last season.

But all he needs is a break- he's got too much class to carry on missing, and it may be just that he's getting over-tired or over-anxious in front of goal, because he's fallen below his own high standards.

The problem is he always wants to play even when he'd be better resting, and we desperately need him up front.

I don't think he'll play the full 90 against Wolves either, to be honest. Just hope he stays fit.

Are you talking to me about carroll mate,well if you are i never said anything about carrolli dont know how you got this form my post,maybe you take your mask of and read my post again it wasn't the biggest of posts
ive been backing carroll since he came to liverpool,
king henry

Suarez needs 10 good chances to score 1

He is a very good player but not an out and out striker

We need an out and out striker

Suarez will never be a Robbie Fowler finisher

We defo need a natural finisher

The Dark Knight

Give it a rest he's an athlete not a girl guide??

Mate carroll cant even get into them positions never mind missing them, on saturday i think we should go 4-3-3 bellamy kuyt suarez up top

Couldn`t agree more with the last post, Carroll is just not on the same page as everybody else. For a supposed great header of the ball he continually gets out jumped and his positional play is a joke. Already in his few outings balls have been whipped across the 6 yard box only to find him watching from the edge of the box. If those passes had come in for a top Striker they would have been breaking their necks to get their head on them.
Not good enough unfortunately. For Saurez he`s obviously not at his peak fitness wise but still keeps making chances for others and has had a few himself, rather he would be there missing the odd one than watching from the wrong position.!

Matt b

Suarez's attitude leaves alot to be desired as well.... Always bitching, moaning at ref, linesmen, teamates etc. KK give him a word, ego is too big for what he has achieved with us to date.

The way i look at it suarez could make 10 chances were as carroll would not . I'd still play the two of them every game soon carroll will be firing them in and all be forgotten
joeydalipz

Suarez's attitude leaves alot to be desired as well.... Always bitching, moaning at ref, linesmen, teamates etc. KK give him a word, ego is too big for what he has achieved with us to date.

Exactly Mate - spot on!

ITs a bit like the emperors new clothes everybody is afraid to see the downsides of Suarez and there are some!

The way you look at it mate - We won't win anything like that!

I cant press agree or reply to posts because im texting from my cell,so just wanna say i agree with 'dont buy the s*n'. Great post.
Capetownred

Where in cape town would you buy the sun anyway? while you are at it avoid the times as well

Dont be jealous because Cape Town is an amazing place and you live in a hole.

22 Sep 2011 11:15:29
No point in buying anyone except a right winger with pace...please KK , right sided with pace...only then we'll see the best of Carroll. He's had no service so far and getting unfairly criticised....Please KK, a right sided winger who can cross...then we'll see the big guy getting the acclaim he deserves....

You"ll prob see glen johnson play there when fit, Hendo was bought for there, but now that he has to fight for that position it may help him along! the transfer window in Jan will be the signing of a winger

You'll start seeing the best from Carroll when starts reading the game an starts attacking the ball in stead of always going to the back post and expecting the ball to always come to him!

Why can't 'super Dirk' be taught the basic art of crossing?

Kuyt is a vamp afraid of crosses - boom boom

Basil Brush

22 Sep 2011 11:10:26
Am I the only one that's concerned about Henderson? Will he reach the level required to pull on the red jersey? I, like all lfc fans, was gutted after the totenham result but we didn't play with eleven to begin with, did we? I love Henderson to show his potential but he was nowhere to be seen! Dropping Kuyt to facilitate Henderson? Can't believe it...thank God for downing and bellamy!

Come KK...I'm all behind you, but please sort it out!

Wow the lad's not even played 10 games for us in at least one of which he played a blinder and scored a goal. Give him a break and judge him at the end of next season.

Hes already been given a break playing for Liverpool on 40k per week!

Hi ed and fellow reds,

Just have a question regarding players available for Wolves this weekend.

Are Charlie and Skrtel banned?

I was under the impression that suspensions counted for the league cup aswell. So Charlie and Skrtel should be available for this weekend.

Just want some clarification plz ed.

Thanks
Faizal {Ed002's Note - They are available.}

Just hope Skrtel doesn't play right-back again....he was woeful. What was Dalglish thinking putting him up against Bale? Robbo or Flanno would have done a better job IMO.

Man Utd fans should be allowed to gloat and enjoy their success they have a truely great manager who deserves credit and respect for what he has achieved.

However Utd could win the league for the next 100years but they will always lack the human factor that makes Liverpool the greatest club. Utd are a successful brand(like NIKE COKE APPLE etc) and thay have a huge customer base but NOT a real fan base.

Liverpools fans have been praised globally. The unique ANFIELD atmosphere has inspired Cruyff, T Henry, Maradona and this week ETO said his new club supporters showed the kind of passion he had only witnessed at ANFIELD. Compare this to the Theatre of Dreams, no player has ever lauded it or Utd customers for a special atmosphere. Their own captain Roy Keane attacked the prawn sandwhich brigade! No Liverpool player has been left wanting by the Kopites.

Compare the anthems YOULL NEVER WALK ALONE regardless of results this hymn is about collective spirit and support about unity. GLORY GLORY MAN UTD crass individual unfeeling unemotive rubbish.

And for all the success SIR ALEX FERGUSON has enjoyed look at the carreer of one very humble down to earth man who in 9 years won 6 LEAGUE TITLES,3 LEAGUE CUPS, 1 UEFA CUP, 1 EUROPEAN SUPER CUP, 5 CHARITY SHIELDS AND OF COURSE 3 EUROPEAN CUPS.

Yes the humble Bob Paisley won in 9 years as manager as many European cups as UTD have won in their entire history. Sir Alexs achievements (delivered at a time when mega bucks stiffled real competition) are suddenly dwarfed by a humble gentleman who understood the difference between a Football Club and a Global Marketing Brand.

One of the best posts i have ever read on this site , from our home anfield- the cathedral of english football , to our song , the worldwide best ynwa , to being the most distinguished english european winning club , and lets face it liverpool fans beat utd fans on football analysis of the game every time , our time will come again in the premership , where we will not just win it , but go on and win a right few more, dont be too harsh on the mancs because they just dont get it , they never will , but we do........lfcl

Great post very true,what else can you say.

Great words mate!

Absolutely spot on mate. You've probably encapsulated the feelings of our true fanbase very nicely there.

I agree with you that Liverpool have great support and do have that human factor but i always wonder why an american who has no real love for football at least in his/their past wants with a football club never mind our club Liverpool fc so when i think about it I can only come to one conclusion and it is that there has to be a financial gain so when we look around at other clubs to see where an owner could take our club i only see one model to follow and it is man u (ironic that fergie in the past has said he looked at the Liverpool set up way back and believed this to be the way to go) so i belive that the American owner will turn or at least try and turn Liverpool Fc into a global brand but I do have faith i n their respect of t6he Liverpool way and Liverpool fans and that everything will be lead by their core vision of success on the pitch which will make us all happy and once again Liverpool FC will be the club that other clubs aspire to

Brilliant post. I reckon all Utd "fans" should be referred to as customers from now on. Spot on!

Awesome mate, hit the nail on the head with that one. It makes me really proud of being part of the Liverpool fanbase - You'll Never Walk Alone!

Hi eds. Do you think anelka could be a posibility?
I highly doubt it, but if he and Bellamy were a few years younger it would be excellent. {Ed002's Note - I don't see Liverpool signing a 30 some odd year old Anelka.}

Some really good movement in the 1st half last night, especially from Suarez, Bellemy and Kuyt. I was dissapointed with the support sometimes from midfield. At times we broke away and did not have enough options. Also think that playing Kuyt,Lucas,Spearing and Maxi in the same side does not work. Not enough pace or skill to hurt the opposition. Lucas and Kuyt work there socks off but we need more in the other positions to support the strikers.

When Sir Alex said that about man like Blair Mayne, Ive kept really quiet, but ill tell you he went down in my estimation and ill tell you were still in this title race and they have to go to Stoke and get something and I would LOVE IT LOVE IT IF WE BEAT THEM.

After watching the game last night I would make only 2 changes against Wolves. Bring in Gerrard and Enrique. Leave Carroll, Downing, Adam, Srktel on the bench to show that they have to up their performances significantly to get back into the team after a very poor performance against Sprus

Brighton played really well in the second half,but we played some brilliant football you can tell the players are still getting used to playing together but when the click its a joy to watch.

lfc will not bring anyone in jan.all depending in december if we chasing the cl place lfc will invest only in rb.Chaill/godin.but if lfc are still in 6/7 places noway they will invest in player.

From what I understand spurs have not stopped with their negotiations with bolton regarding cahill, now again from what I'm aware a deal is around
70-80% in terms of advancement.

could you please clear up if Adam is available for Wolves as i dont know?

thanks

Juarez {Ed001's Note - yes he is.}

Hi Ed001, I thought a red card automatically bans a player for 3 matches? Is it only 1? {Ed002's Note - Two yellows = 1 game; a straight red = three.}

Cheers Ed001!

First off, this isn't a dig at Andy C or anyone else, but you have to put out the strongest side at the time, and at the moment it does look as if Suarez, Bellamy and Kuyt and Downing are the best options for the attacking players.
They all seem to have awareness, good movement, some pace, and a degree of understanding that works together.

It does depend on the formation, but what do people reckon are our most in form attacking players to start against Wolves?
(Forget about SG- he wont start on saturday but he'll deffo come on in 2nd half.)

Hi that combo is great for pass and move football ,when carroll plays we have to change our style,which creates a problem for management.(godin)

'Some pace'. Well worded. Downing is only 3rd to Suarez & Gerrard on my teamsheet. Bellamy is looking very impressive as well, he has pace and skill and works hard. Kuyt only does one fo those things and Maxi is a passenger for 85 mins then gets a tap in.

ok hard work 2nd half.bit concerning.and didnt maybe work so hard ugly sideve game.however first half for most=excellent movement,pace,link ups,especially between suarez,bellamy,and kuyt.shows why carrol and hendo must wait for places.much quicker/creative without them.nice link up and cameo with aforementioned from maxi also.
