Agent of Gaston Ramirez claiming a 16mil bid has been submitted by a yet unnamed PL club.

Any truth in this or just agent gas?

Seems like a solid transfer policy if you ask me, slowly accumulate the Uruguayan starting XI!

Can someone give a video of llorente to carroll please?

Is Llorente in his first full season at the club as part of a new squad trying to gel?

A pointless comparison.

LIVERPRES

In my opinion i think Carroll will come good and has shown signs of improvement, confidence is massive as a footballer and Carrolls was obviously affected but with support from the fans i think he will grow into a top number 9, i think the same about Henderson you can tell his confidence has been low when he has had opportunities to shoot and chose to pass because he knows the 'fans' will be on his back if he misses, but i think Henderson has put in some really good shifts lately, im more disappointed with the contribution of already established players Downing and Adam.

Actually, it's a very good idea.

We learn by copying. It might do Carroll a lot of good to study some film.

The excuses will not fly next season, so Carroll needs to get his finger out, one way or the other.

Fernando llorente is 26, usually around the age most strikers of Carroll's and his type peak. Carroll is twice the player he was when he was 23. You wait mates, Carroll will be a treat once again.
AnfieldUSA

Llorente would be alan shearer towards his 3rd season at Newcaslte. He is playing at his very best right now.

Is it true that Carroll set up 9 chances on goal last week against WBA?

Carroll on loan for lorente and cash to athletic bilbao.

Actually Llorente is 27. Carroll is 23.
Llorente was absolutely awful at that age of 23, he was 4th choice striker at Bilbao, and was almost farmed out to Wigan, but rejected him. When he hit 25-26 was when he really shined.
Problem is, if Carroll follows the same growth abilities in his game, do we have the time for that? If we do, it will be expensive to bring another player whilst he is progressing. Or give him the chances whilst he grows, but it may not be Top 4 then, difficult. Can't really compare him to Llorente.

Thanks for backing my point up some more mate( post above me)

You gotta love FSG they are starting to look as bad as H&G. They have given Murdochs FOX network the rights for a 6 part docu on LFC.

Nice one Tom and John

So trying to get us money and into the black is nearly as bad as almost liquidizing the club. Right.

BthekingB

Will Fox have paid for the privilege ?
The Real KB

Original poster......... On drugs?

TSB

Given that Fox in US is where everyone watches the Premier League, it seems fairly sensible.

Good thing you're not running the club.

FOX NEWS is an utterly vile station banished from our house and on a par with the Stun. FOX SPORTS unfortunately are the providers for Prem football in the States. Yes, it does cause a twinge of our principles but it's also a question of pragmatism. I watch Sly Sports because I follow LFC and compromise. We need any dosh going to support new players and we compromise. Shame the BBC didn't want to do a documentary.

Fox is the only channel in the US that gives off live broadcasting of the premier league.

FOX is making a fly on wall documentary about LFC. Due to air in Autumn. Hmm... On a plus side least we might get a glimpse at what Hendo actually does to warrant selection every week...

And do we know when it's being filmed ?
During the next season ?
They're usually awful them things. Edited to highlight 'interesting' things.
Poor Graham Taylor and Phil Neal still haven't recovered from the "Do I not like that" documentary all those years ago.

Dont wana burst everyones bubble.But LFc seem heavily linked with star names first,and either dont get them in quick enough or maybe used as stalking horse by agents for clus with more cash.Look at who we were linked with or reputedly tried to get last summer and who we got!
Dont get carried away till signed and delivered.Close to silly season again.And we usually miss out nowadays sadly

You Loserpools make me laugh. You watch a player on tv and want him. Your a mid table team who have no chance with competing with the best.
Best wishes,

Spurs Lad

Congratulations on winning a trophy this year, spurs lad. Actually that's a bit unfair.....this decade?

I agree mate, but what makes you guys so special?

Haha from a bloody Spurs fan!? Brilliant. Hope you've enjoyed your time mixing with the big boys, alas it is just a flash in the pan. You'll be back to your 12th place finishes before long :-)

You must be really bothered about Liverpool seeing as you are on our websites. Hows Redknapp doing at the moment, I see the Fickle Spurs fans are out in force again, Laughable ! Always in Arsenals shadow !

How was it winning the carling cup? how many years back was that, 4 maybe?
your only trophy in 19 years!
you know mid table because you have a history of it.
our worst season in 50 years has equalled your trophy collection in the last 19! and we might double it.
spurs lad, pipe down as you're out of your depth on this page.

Ha thats funny, what world class players do you attract then? Not alot to be honest. Your not exactly on the best form either at the moment and have been a mid-table club for most of the time except for the last couple of years!
Rant over :)
Big T

Never said we were anything special, just trying to wake you up from your dreams

Spurs Lad

Loserpools?!? Are you six years old?
Does mummy know you are on the big computer?
Shouldn't you be doing some homework?
Shouldn't you be in bed?
Spurs Lad makes you sound like some cowboy who likes broke back.
Loser pools......... Oh dear....

Dirks Engine Room

To be honest mate, I wouldn't be crowing too loudly in your shoes.
Harry's off to manage England, and without CL footie next season your transfer funds are going to dry up too.

If you're lucky you'll get Brendan Rogers, and you'll only lose Bale and Modric and Adebayor in the summer, and maybe van der vart.

Seriously mate, you've had your time in the sun, whereas we've been enduring our time in the shade, and now we're on the way back, with owners who are committed to PL success and to making LFC a global financial brand, and who will invest in the right players to make that happen for the long term.
LFC has been a sleeping giant, and its going to finally wake up.
Just watch us go next season mate.

I agree we cant compete with the best for the moment but neither can you, fifth in the league,beaten 5-1 by chelsea in the cup! oh plz tell me what exactly is it youre competing for?

JF LFC

Loserpool!!
Did you think that up yourself or Did Mummy & Daddy help you!!

We can dream about a bright future.. And even dream about a brilliant past.. What do you lot dream about?

Myk

Well, we'll see you in Europa next season then Spurs "Lad".

Alex

What's a spurs? I must have never heard of them. I don't pay attention to small clubs, sorry.
AnfieldUSA

Spurs have a very well balanced team at the moment with a strong management system in place. Alan Sugar sold spurs to the right people, the management team had experience in running football teams across Europe plus the Chairman was a life long Tottenham fan.

But spurs are in the same boat LFC where in 2008 when bigger clubs where circling for our best players. Tottenham are not in financial mess like lfc where.

Although spurs may have been too successful under redknapp. GARETH BALE and LUkA MODRIC will walk this summer if they do not get into champions league football, but is it such a major lose>

Some spurs fans have stated that modric hasn't done that much this season. Plus the money from sale of bale/modric could fund expansion of stadium.

Spurs are a fantastic NBA basketball team...what's one of their fans doing on this website?

Hello spurs fans it will soon be time to sell some of your players to man u as normal.

Are any teams interested in Markel Susaeta from Bilbao. Looks a classy young winger ?

He is another one that is being watched closely.. (Susaeta)..

Cheers

Macca

We are according to macca.
gazthered

Thanx for the info macca. Do u know the other teams interested in susaeta? As long as madrid n barca don not get involved, we shud be in with a decent chance of getting him
Indian Buzzer

I think we're looking at Tello too, may want to join through Rodolfo and Borrell. And that he's 4th/5th choice winger right now at Barca, and they'll probably buy another one in the summer. He would be an awesome signing. {Ed002's Note - Real Madrid and Paris St Germain are also interested in Athletic Bilbao's Markel Susaeta. I expect that Barcelona will offer Tello a new deal. As for interest from Liverpool I don't know how serious it is but I understand the player has been watched. There is also some interest from Valencia and from Porto. There is a possibility of a loan to Valencia as part of another deal.}

Llorente stay where you are.... why come to Liverpool and play s**te football, everytime i have seen Bilbao play they never dissapoint... win or lose!

Our football is just as good, only prob is we are not hitting th back of the net due to some very bad luck and bad finishing but the football is good

Cracking speed of pass and movement,both of them teams.Ibe,Martinez and co.Rather have LLorette at LFC than Gomez,but sadly wont matter to us.Were at Aldi nowadays-cast offs,potential or has beens

If it gets you down that much go and support another team lads.
I'm still right behind the team and the manager, where a supporter should be.

Poster above i go everywhere with LFC and yea does get Me down.But im stating facts La,and thier there for all to see.Regardless ill follow the boys.Do you s arta se??

Is it just me, or does anyone think Guardiola is a little over rated, he has done well but I'm pretty sure I could manage the players he inherited when he became manager and make them a world class team, or am I missing something?
IOM Red {Ed023's Note - He did start mascherano center back ahead of Pique which was madness}

I have to say i don't think his record in the transfer market is too good either. Not many of his signings really stand out.

This is simply not true. When pep took over Barcelona many of the players were going out for late nights and not producing on the pitch, there were also serious concerns over the development of Messi as fans feared he would be dragged down by the other players' lifestyles. The club was being regarded by many fans and pundits as rapidly sliding downhill and there were fears La Liga would become a one team division. Guardiola implemented the short passing style that brought out the best in Xavi, Iniesta and co as well as imposing a strict discipline on the squad. No matter how good your group of players are, you need a class coach to turn them into a quality team. No overrated manager wins the champions league twice in four years as well as winning a treble in their debut season with a club. {Ed001's Note - the short passing style was implemented prior to Pep's arrival. All he did was get rid of a few troublemakers and coach the players. It is only the last couple of years that he has begun to really take charge of the style of play. Changing to a back 3 was his idea, keeping Mash at centre back, where he is clearly ineffectual at best, while Pique was sat watching, was also his idea.}

I was thinkin exactly the same thing but didnt wanna say anything as the eds always tell me im being negative.

Guardiola has not been properly tested as a manager. As you said, im sure any moderately skilled manager would have been successful with the squad of players Barca have.

His tactics are one-dimensional and he knows no other way to play, he certainly hasnt demonstrated he is tactically flexible anyway.

Playing Mashcerano at centreback ahead of a very seasoned Pique is completely bonkers and should sound alarm bells.

My choices for manager would be Benitez, Mourinho or Biesla. I personally prefer managers that are tactically flawless and the aformentioned managers are just that. Outside of these 3 I just dont know who would cut the mustard...I do not envy our owners job at all.

Guardiola is not the answer for us, he would probably do well at Arsenal but he's not for us.

That's a bit unfair guys, What team? When Pep took over Ronaldinho, Eto'o & Deco ran the team. He got them out and build a new team with young players not many managers can do that, not forgetting the football they've played this last 4 years is out of this world.
This season Barca have had so many injuries like Villa, Abidal, Xavi, Iniesta, Alfellay, Pedeo & Alexis any team would struggle with some many players missing, Pep has done wanders to get them to the CL semi's, a cup final and only 7pt of Real.

Liverpool 'look at Txiki Begiristain for director of football job'
Former Barcelona sporting director Txiki Begiristain has emerged as a leading contender to replace Damien Comolli at Liverpool.

Txiki Begiristain was involved in David Villa's move to Barcelona. Txiki
They were linked with Ajax and Barcelona great Johan Cruyff, but found the Dutchman had no interest in moving to England.

Instead, he recommended the Liverpool board consider Begiristain for the vacancy, reports the Sunday Times.

Former Spain international Begiristain has been credited with helping to build the current all-conquering Barca team, after bringing in Dani Alves, Gerard Pique and David Villa.

Have to disagree with you ed, while you are right about the short passing style they never played it with such speed plus he introduced the high tempo pressing game and he started using messi in the false number nine position, he is not afraid to try new things and in football thats not always easily done. I would take a manager who believes in pure attacking football any day of the week rather than the likes of Mourinho who is a safety first counter attacking type. {Ed001's Note - the high tempo pressing game was a part of the system Cruyff brought in, not Pep. I agree he did make changes, none have proven to be all that successful though have they? I would rather have him than Mourinho too, but I wouldn't want him either.}

I do think you're being very harsh ed, just because guardiola used old techniques doesn't mean he isn't a great manager. He won the first ever sextuple, what more can you really ask? If guardiola does leave, I believe we'll see a dip in barca's dominance even further than this season which will show just how important he's been. {Ed001's Note - I don't see what the old techniques are you are referring to? Nobody mentioned old techniques. He has only just started to really exert an influence over the style of play, since he has done so, they have looked less and less effective. He was not the reason they dominated, Cruyff was.}

40M plus Eto'o for Ibrahimovic was madness...Jose must've been laughing his a$$ off...

Michael laudrup wud be my choice, as long as he sets the team the way his barca side did back in the early 1990's. Btw, i got ur point on Mourinho. What a joke of a person! the least he cud have done is consoled his players n apologized to the fans. But the jacka** simply walked down the tunnel like a stricken loser. Great tactician, horrible man manager.

hi eds, do you think it is possible that fsg would allow the club to make offers at the present moment(I.e gaston ramirez rumours) when we don't currently have a director of football.

Ed pep is going to take a year out of football. Kenny will give it one more year in the hotseat and then step aside for pep in June 2013. What ye think? {Ed023's Note - It could well happen but I still feel Kenny will step aside this summer}

this ones for ed5 what do you think about the ramirez info? as i think people need to start reading the posts and replies maybe even try the search function what do you the ed! {Ed005's Note - In all honesty I can't see it being us if it is true. We are yet to appoint a Dof, there is a good chance of other changes in the board, we don't know what's happening with the managerial situation yet and we haven't even finished our season yet, add to that a major cup final yet to play. I believe transfers won't be on the agenda quite yet.}

You obviously missed the sarcasm then ed as you have been repeatedly repeating yourself to numerous posters it was a joke ed not a question! lol

I've also heard the "Carroll on loan" thing from
My usual source. (more often right than not) They've also told me that we're in advanced talks with a certain ageing, out of favour striker from one of the big 2 in Spain.
Just passing it on.

Aintree red.

There's only one ageing striker from the big 2 and it's Villa...I wouldn't class Kaka as a striker

Its not ageing striker but ageing midfielder defender and its seydou keita from barcelona i suppose. i am sure we gonna sign keita, ramirez, 2 wingers and a striker this season.

Hi eds today the rumours of certain talented players have come to my attention and i had to leave a post,
1)Keisuke Honda - 10x the player of adam and rumoured for sale around 9 million, which is a absolute bargain.
2)Gaston Ramirez - Young and could add flair and creativity we lack.
3)Jackson Martinez - Again will set good competition for the strike force and has a eye for goals with incredible pace and strenght on and off the ball

IMO - these 3 potential signings could complete our squad and have us back into the top 4 elites of the EPL.
What are you opinions eds and macca ?
Are them 3 worth buying and could they improve our squad?
{Ed023's Note - I agree that 3 players could make a difference but next week it could be 3 more players listed. We had the chance to bid for Honda in January 2011 & 2012 but didn't take up the option.}

is there still some sort of interest in david texeira? been cold on him since january but seen his name mentioned in the same story as the "carrol on loan" ty for your time.

hey ed im sat watching the athletic game and there are a couple of players who i think would do us without going stupid on llorente me personally i would go for

Javi Martinez
susetta(spelling)
Munian

i think these 3 are pure quality and believe they would change to meet the demands of the EPL

my question tpo you is how much would you think these 3 would go for individually?

personally i think

Martinez-20m
susetta- 12m
Munian- 18m

do you think my valuations are a realistic on these guys {Ed023's Note - Martinez 40+ million euros. They want the same figure for Muniain but I doubt they'll get that. Susetta could command a fee of 18 million or more}

Susaeta in his last year of contack so £10 to £12 can be done move fast and use Spanish link Like pepe .

Even if susaeta is nearing the end of his contract, i very much doubt, he'd go for £10 to £12 quid LOL

Do any of the eds think Diego would be a good signing. He's available for free this summer and must be better than what we have got at the moment. He is also in his prime at 27... {Ed005's Note - He's brilliant on his day but in my opinion he lacks consistency and apparantly has some attitude problems.}

Dieago is on Loan to Atlentico and he is last year contac . {Ed023's Note - A player I wouldn't want no where near Liverpool}

Good player but makes Alonso look like the road runner...too slow for EPL

I would like to see Roberto Martinez in charge, because as much as i support Kenny Dalglish, i think that novalty has worn off. {Ed005's Note - Nothing is certain at the moment but I personally think he'll step aside.}

Gaston Ramirez's agent has confirmed a PL club have bid approx 20m euros for the player, according to Metro.

I think from things said previously, there's a decent chance it could be LFC that have bid for him.

Ed, can I ask what's your opinion on the likelihood of LFC being the mystery bidders?
{Ed023's Note - It's possible but, agents tend to tell a few lies to try get other clubs to bid the fee he discussed or over it for their clients. Just take it with a pinch of salt for the time being}

Ed, Do the coaches at Liverpool rate Shelvey? I think he's a massive talent but next season going by this season's selections Gerrard, Lucas, Adam, Henderson and spearing all seem to be ahead of him in the pecking order. I hope he's not forced out but could this be a possiblity? {Ed005's Note - I see no reason why they don't rate him to be honest. I think he needs more experience but hopefully next season he'll get a chance to gain some.}

He's still too young to play him week in week out! Give him a 2 years and he'll become our new Stevie G.

Theba300

IMO opinion we should have loaned him back to Blackpool again, the more games he plays at a competitive level the better he will get. I don't think sitting on the bench and a few cameo appearances will get him developing at the level we all hope he will.

Talk sport have reported a near 20mil bid has been received by an unnamed prem club for Gaston Ramirez. decision made at the end of season. Also Liverpool interested in Nolita, couple these guys with a new striker (solado or levezzi) and a possibly a another winger or w back. It could be the class and quality we badly need. What do you reckon Eds realistic? {Ed005's Note - Too early to say what it and what isn't realistic in my opinion.}

I think he will eventually move to Barcelona or Real Madrid.}

26 Apr 2012 20:01:58
A question for Macca if I may,

Macca, you stated a while back that you thought Carroll was taking the 'Michael' out of the club. Being as I haven't seen or heard any stories relating to his drunken antics in a while I assumed he calmed it down. Was it his drinking you were refering to? Is he lazy in training, or is it just him in general your not happy with?

And on another note, I don't think you have to explain yourself or prove anything to anyone. To all who regularly read these pages it is blatantly obvious your not making it up, and that you have some very good contacts within the club. I think the reason you have your own page is because 99% of LFC rumours visitors want to know what you know (saves the Eds answering the same 'Macca' questions throughout the day). So keep it coming Macca your work is very much appreciated.

I do not understand all the people who slag off Macca and the eds. The transfer market is pretty much a guessing game and the Eds and Macca have been pretty spot on about most things and this is the only site available to get reliable info. They are going to make mistakes because things change, and they are also entitled to their own opinions. This is a rumour site, people shouldn't expect perfect facts every time.
Just wanted to say thank you to the eds and Macca for taking the time to keep the fans updated and for providing reliable information. Keep up the good work.
Do any of the eds know whether Liverpool will only be playing two dates in the US? or are their more games to be added?

Hi eds Gaston Ramirez agent has said that an english club has put in a 20 mill bid thought to be Liverpool and bologna will decide his future at the end of the season. How do you see is situation?

Thanks
mighty reds {Ed005's Note - I see it as his agent trying to get other clubs to move personally. There's so much to be decided at our club at the moment and I can't see us moving for players already.}

26 Apr 2012 20:25:18
Why do I keep seeing people asking the EDs: " Do you think Xabi Alonso will come back to Liverpool"
Don't get me wrong Xabi was a really good player for us but that was then, this is now! Next season he'll be 31 and he was never the quickest anyway, so he's only getting slower as witnessed last night against Bayern who totally dominated the midfield against Madrid.
Granted Xabi made a couple of his trademark 40yd crossfield passes from inside his own half and great they were too but he hardly went over the half way line because of his lack of pace.
I am not having a go at Xabi, just pointing out we had him with us at the right time and now it would be a waste of time to bring him back as a 31 yr old, as the slower pace of the game in Spain is better for him at this stage in his career.

He is still quicker than Charlie Adam!

He never needed to be quick. He was divine at the club. Made players like xavi and lampard look like flies trying to play ball with birds.

Guardiola on the brink of leaving Barca. what chance we could tempt him? I'm not wishing to get rid of Kenny but he would be an ideal long term replacement for him and am sure they could work well together. Remember PG's comments about our youth system being second only to Barca's....he may be tempted with the challenge?

Thoughts?

i dont think that we need too many changes for next season. we have had two great cup runs and according to opta stats we would be 4th if every time a team hit the post it would have been a goal. we just need a bit of luck and with lucas returning i think with one added winger we will be comfortably in a champions league place

Just throwing this out there:

Guardiola is expected to quit tomorrow and take a year out of the game.

FSG to give the King a year to improve the league position and if he can't give Guardiola the job.(obviously having him lined up in the next few weeks!)

With Tyx as DOF and Borrell, the liver bird will rise from the ashes!

great website guys. what do u guys and eds think about our team formation?. in my opinion, we should put glen johnson in midfield and kelly behind. but i don't know why kenny does not do it. many of us have said throughout the season that johnson should be in midfield.

If u are a follower of the site for a while you will have seen the answers given.

Johnson is on a silly wage, has a clays saying he must play right back unless agreed to by him - hence left back a few times to cover injuries.

He will be out next year 1. To reduce the wage bill, 2. He doesn't know how to defend at club or national level, and hopefully 3. Kelly gets games because he is awesome! Whenever I've seen him live I've been nothing short of impressed.

"Guardiola stepped up from Barca B manager to first-team boss in 2008.

He has gone on to become the most successful coach in the club's illustrious history"

this was in the paper today about Guardiolas step up and success at Barca. I seriously believe that, if KK were to step down, Rodolfo Borrell could be the best man for the job - has connections, knows the young players well &has done wonders with the reserves/Nexgen and a great tactician.

26 Apr 2012 18:00:14
strange season this in football in general..
1.A manager sacked by west brom is now Saviour of Chelsea with 2 finals and now being considered for job full time.
2. our manager after 1 trophy and FA cup final is under pressure because of league.

Look at it this way according to English media united (if they loose the league),Spurs and arsenal (trophy less for 5 years+) will have had a good season and LFC a bad even after winning 1 cup and in final of other.
So now winning a trophy is less important then qualifying for money league oh sorry Champions league..

There are only at maximum 5 trophies eventual champions can win and teams lower can 4 in season.

LFC may end up with 2 trophies but truth is top 4 gets more attention then this fact.

At the end may be we fans need to realize that there is monetary success and then "THE SUCCESS" and joy of winning a medal.
Don't get me wrong a modern club needs both and both needs to be honored. It is this point where I feel Kenny and his team may be have not received his due.

Red Indian
PS:I am still pissed off about league though.

Top post my friend, in total agreement.

Mike Ashely is such a tight businessman paying Alan Pardew at Newcastle only £500k a year. Ian Holloway for Blackpool is paid £250k a year. Compare that to Evertons David Moyes who is paid £3million a year.

Then Someone like Arsene Wenger is making £6million a year while Alex Ferguson at Manchester United is paid £3.6 million a year

The Mark Hughes is reported to be on 1.5m a year.

But the real shocking news would be that most of these managers wages are paid into a Limited company for tax-avoidance reasons. {Ed001's Note - Pardew is paid less because he owes Llambias money, he built up a big debt in the casino.}

Pardew also gets a bonus for every place he finishes above the relegation area (I think it was 15th)... the season they are having means he's not so badly paid... this was told to me by someone who knows him. I have no idea about the debt but he used to be in the London casinos regularly before he took the Newcastle job.

Im sorry if this is not an anti Kenny, anti carrol, anti henderson etc etc but who would take the ITT Technical Institute advert chick out for a pub lunch? I think shes awful but then again I live in Miami where women are spectacular! Miami_Red {Ed002's Note - You do realise that this isn't a dating web site? And East Coast girls spectacular?}

I like her pigtails.

JB

Eds 2 I appreciate the modification to the my post...The women in Miami are nothing short of sensational..Alex Curran no comparison! By the way the deal for Gaston Ramirez is nailed on and at a fairly advanced stage just waiting for transfer market to open. If you look back at history of my posts you will see Ive been saying this move is going to happen for months due to my Uruguyan FA links (albeit extremely tenuous) and from what ive been told my 'contacts' suarez is staying and wants to help build a Uruguyan core at the club coates, suarez, Ramirez etc etc. Makes sense to me!! Miami_Red {Ed002's Note - I could never agree about East Coast girls at all.}

If Miami Red is right about a Uruguyan core...Happy days ahead

The Bailiff

So what your saying EDS 2 is that the girls in Florida, New York etc are generally unnatractive? Thats a contreversial statement to make my friend...A bit like saying Charlie Adam is better than Lucas!! Discuss....Miami_Red

Ed002 - I don't think you can really consider Miami an "east coast" city. Yes it on the east coast, but it is full of south American woman as well as many European woman. But I do have to agree with you about the east coast women of New York & Boston. They have nothing on Cali girls.

an american red (originally from San Diego living in Florida now)

@ Miami_Red

Heard something like that one week or so ago but am not sure of it but it is likely and would love to have Ramirez at LFC.

Armando

It's not so hard to be hot compared to alex curran?!

The girls here in Miami are far prettier than most places, but the ones that live here lack a certain style. The ones that visit from South America - now that can be a different kettle of fish. And then of course there are the models . . . but most of them are only here for the season - which just ended ):

Best looking girls in US are in the deep South (including northern Florida) and Texas. Although their accents can take some getting used to!

Message to MiamiRed A message on another website is claiming today that a undisclosed Premier League team has bid 20mill Euro's for Gaston can you or contacts spread any light on this. Are Liverpool the Mystery Premier bidders.
And I agree Miami Women are HOTTTT

Whay with all their false boobs and butts

Residents of Miami are mainly Cuban, Central American, or Caribbean (above average pretty, often trashy). The expats are basically South Americans (moneyed, typically much more stylish, cosmetically enhanced). The weekend revelers are Anglos from US or Europe (typically very white, sunburned, and smashed). And the seasonal workers are models (typically very pretty, Oct to March).

Florida Red

I would put a years wages on Gaston Ramirez being at Liverpool next season but the disclaimer is another club coming in and bettering the contract we were to offer and thats a real concern. Ramirez is a quality player and can damage any defense in any league. I would say hes Luis Garcia and then some! Lets keep our fingers crossed. I've not spoken to my father in law so dont know anything about the unamed bid but more news when I get it. If any Florida based Liverpool fans wanna get together and start a fan club that would really be cool. Is there enough of us to make it happen? The eclectic nature of the women in Miami make them so alluring...Miami_Red

Miami fan club? Might be up for that.

Florida Red

Hey Florida Red lets make the Miami Fan Club happen! Even if it means the two of us watching the games on our lonesome..! How do we exchange contact details? Miami_Red

I think people on here need to give Macca a break...he is kind enough to share what he knows with us, and gives an insight into whats actually going on, rather than being link with every player under the sun in the papers. Some of you lot carry on the way you are and he will stop giving us information - and of course he can't reveal his sources, if it was meant to be common knowledge the club would release a statement saying who they wanted themselves. Macca might not get it right all the time, but it's not his fault if things change, and it's certainly not his fault that LFC aren't after Messi, Ronaldo, Maradona etc...give the poor guy a break, he's doing a nice thing for us!

Super

Mr brown nose comes to mind

I think Macca is one of those guys who pleases all of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time!

I'm a fan anyway! Keep up the good work Macca, whoever you are.

Liverpool would be 19th in league if it started 1st Jan. Alternatively, if all are shots that hit the woodwork went in during those games, we'd be in 4th place.

If we'd won every game we'd be champions.

It's been that damn woodwork that's done it the most, as I'm sure if the solo run from Downing had gone in early on in the season (can't remember game sorry) his confidence might never have dipped! Likewise with other players, I'm sure.

Here's my opinion on the rumours on rafa coming back as manager well I would only like him back if he brought pako with him as assistant/coach because they worked well and when he went I think it went down hill,my only wish for whoever or if someone new is brought in has and will carry on a attacking philosophy cheers PK

Did they not fall out massively?

Fowlerisgod I heard they made up but if not he should as I want teams to fear us again unlike at present cheers pk

Even if Rafa comes back am afraid Pako won't be. Yes your are correct, Pako was great important to Rafa and we started doing badly after he left.

Why is it when it comes to english players well go over the top don't get me wrong I like downing hendo but still don't see carroll a liverpool player we pay an extra 10mill over there actual price and if kenny wants british players jus because they play in the premier league doesn't mean there the best british players for instance I think lalana is a better prospect than henderson and strikers like ricky lambert who is quick great finisher good in the air both footed and is most importantly a finisher that could be a bargain by the way I am not against buying foriegn players but jus look at the great past players we've had such smicer hamman hyypia xabi riise and now suarez enrique daggers skrtel reina etc but just make sure they want to play for us and that bird on their heart not half hearted players that renig because there not payed as much as this person or that person sorry for the long post just my opinion

Smicer? Great?

We paid 10 mil over the odds for downing and henderson in my opinion. and you reckon they play for the badge? downing looks like a man who knows he isn't liked and plays like it.(with fear and little effort) and henderson for me is just average at everything. I do understand why you like them though if you call smicer a liverpool legend...lol

Henderson is way better than average. Downing has ability, but his body language shows his lack of confidence.

Alright folks,first time i've had chance to check in for quite a while. Hopefully be on this site on a regular again. Just thought that i dont think that the players at some time or another this season have done themselves justice this season and played to their full potential. Obvious thing to say with our league position,but i think some of them need to hava a good hard look at themselves because we've proved time and again we can compete with any of the top teams over 9o mins,they really need to start killing noff the lower teams like West Brom more efficently. Weather it's a mental thing or whatever they really need to do something because we're saying the same crud season after season,no matter who's been the manager bar and it's getting boring and lame keep saying it. A team as big as us should be competing for the title and doing well in Europe every year,as good as 1 maybe 2 trophy's is achivement wise. Jonson {Ed002's Note - Glad to see you are out - good behavior I guess.}

Mourinho told Ramos to aim for the star. Thats what he did.

Live-On-Pool

BREAKING NEWS

ramos penalty just landed in my back garden. No casualties currently

G.Baker

Ramos is a defender, what did you expect. they normally go for power and aim it straight. Hoping it will stay down.

The question should really be, did Mourinho forget to practice penalties. The germans seemed to be drilled in penalties. Maybe the special one forgot that pens could happen.

As both teams set out to attack each other, Im guessing he never thought it would come to pens.

Ramos had obviously been taking lessons from charlie adam

The Germans are known for the crushing penalty taking skills. In the last 75 years, only 2 have been missed by Germans in the work cup. Something along those lines.

So, a few thoughts on transfer protocol, Comolli and KK...
Given that the last few days has seen a great deal written in the press about Aquilani and Cole apparently likely to return, one wonders if this was the real reason for Comolli's exit. If neither are sold, it max's out the wage bill, and prevents new players joining. Aquilani is a specific point of poor decision making - apparently Comolli signed off the '25 games played then we must buy' agreement - nonsense given Aquaman's fitness problems, and that being a sub only constituted half an appearance (towards the 25). Appreciate it is unlikely that either will return, but we will still be paying a proportion of Cole's wages again next season, and will be forced to sell Aquaman to the highest bidder for a considerable loss. I suspect these decisions, and (of course) offering way over the odds on KK's targets made him a 'dead man walking'.

To anyone who still wonders about the reasons behind Comolli's firing perhaps a little look at the table might give you a clue. I don't mean this mockingly, but it seems pretty obvious to me. Our position in the table, our lack of quality and the fact that clubs who spent far less than us seem miles ahead of us is what did it. I also wonder why everyone believes the owners have been ruthless about this. If they had been, Kenny might have been a casualty as well. I am not negative, nor do I ask for people to be sacked but it is clear that more was expected this year and when the results are what they are changes are inevitable. So far, all they've done is remove a guy who could clearly not be any longer in charge of any transfer negotiations due to his poor performance in two consecutive windows. If that's being ruthless, then I must work for a tyrant. A ruthless streak would require for Kenny to go as well, yet many seem to believe he could actually step into Comolli's role. Finally, ruthlessness has a price and does anyone think that this summer will see us spend significantly?

GK:Lukasz Fabianski, 27
Arsenal
Agent:Martin Wiesner
Contract Expires: 30 Jun 2012

Doni is known to be unhappy with the limited starts this season. I think Lukasz Fabianski could be a good replacement as brad jones and doni seem to have performed below the levels required by the club for the amounts of money they get paid.

Jones has done ok in the one game he needed to - what's your problem with that. I'm sick of people constantly running down out own players for no good reason.

What is wrong with having Brad Jones as our no.2? Imo he is better than Fabianski. There is a reason why the gooners call him 'Flappianski'.

MPaul Rpbinson, in case BB go down

Lukasz Fabianski is only 27 and will become a free agent in the summer. I think he is going to become a very good keeper for someone. Considering our lack of champions league football. Renia may decide to leave within 3 seasons.

Chatting to a couple of spurs fans they reckon they can have him (modric)! two goals and 3 or 4 assists isn't that great for the money levy will mug fergie for! sbn once on here said £40mill & he was laughed at by the typhoo bloke from united, sydney?, mind you I have seen both spn & premier league world as well as tommy smith? Of espn fame quoting the said £40mill......personally I think with two spanish teams now interested it will go to auction ?

here eds this mite keep some people from asking
On 18 January 2012 Liverpool F.C. and Warrior Sports announced a deal between the two organisations that would see Warrior become the Liverpool F.C. kit sponsor effective from 1 June 2012. Warrior will create the Liverpool F.C. home, away and third kits, as well as their training wear for the next six years. so we prob see it last game me thinks
red rrab

The deal is effective from 1 June 2012, and our season ends before then so I doubt we would see a new kit used on the last game.

guys i think your forgetting kenny has set the bar high for himslef with winning the carling cup and so close to winning the fa cup i think you should cut him some slack. if he does not improve league form next season and sign players that can actually find the back of the net then we can give him the sack.

"Liverpool will contemplate sending Andy Carroll, 23, out on loan next season to free up space for a striker to come in. Valencia's Roberto Soldado, Athletic Bilbao's Fernando Llorente and FC Groningen's David Texeira are all under consideration."

It makes me sick to read sh!t like this. Andy Carroll is a top player and will be with us next season. Get off the guys back. It's gone too far.

I don't agree with the senseless Carroll-bashing we always get here, and I think he's starting to turn a corner- but I do think his chances of starting games might limited next season, depending on what strikers are signed.
If, for example, we succeed in signing Soldado and Muniain, and if Suarez stays, it's hard to see Andy being given many starts in league games, surely?
Unless the new forward players don't deliver goals in the league games, in which case he may be given a decent run.

But there will also a shedload of Europa games too, so he could start in those maybe, and progress if he really hits a good run of form.
We should ideally be in a position where no player is guaranteed a starting place, but they have to prove they are worth it.
In reality every team has some players are so effective that they are not droppable when fit- Suarez, for example, and Agger.

Andy is a top player hahah

Sometimes people mis match with clubs. Roy Hodgson was one and carroll may be another. he just isn;t liked. he can play well or poor, but people in the street will continue to dislike him.

the owners should pick up on that and remove the player from the squad. also bellamy doesnt deserve to wear the shirt.

Why is sending Carroll on loan "going too far?" Little strange. It may be the best thing for him.

Look mate, Andy carrol has had a couple of decent games, but Top Player??
If thats the case, then Jelavic is World Class.
Indian Buzzer

It makes sense. Carroll is lazy when it comes to training and will want a firstteamplace regardless of his training effort. He makes the team a liability.

Yet he has financial value tied up in him. he could become a major start. Target men mature later in their careers.

Plus he is paid 60,000 a week for his rubbish performances. That's a £3m.1 wage commitment for a player that doesn't perform and we can't sell.

It make be better to get a Cheap Colombian export instead of keeping carroll at the club. Let him go to Everton or some other lower level club.

Roman Bednar was loaned out to Sunderland.

How do ypu know Andy is lazy ?, do you watch him in training? Do you know what KK has instructed him to do on the pitch....You talk ....t, support your team and manager....Bobbinred

Hey Eds, specifically to Ed002's response, you say you don't expect big money spent, but do you maybe expect quite a few players bought but not far too much money?..as in sensible or youngsters? thanks. {Ed002's Note - There will be players coming and going and words like "big" are subjective. There is no easy answer to this as most of the fans have no grasp of the finances at all. The problem remains is that there are those expecting the likes of Cavani to be joining in the summer because they think the owners will be pouring in whatever money it takes - £150M or more. Expect players to come and go and expect money to be spent at, as you say, a "sensible" level.}

Anyone read Hubbard's top ten worst signing of the year? We had the dubious distinction of having 3 of 10. Luckily, Carroll was not considered since he was referring only to this season. Downing with no goals and no assists. One yellow card. So we paid 20 million pounds for a yellow card.......I could have given them a red myself for 10!

Coop

Except downing scored a key goal for us in the FA cup. not useless- nice try

A key goal in a FA Cup tie does not render the rest of his poor return irrelevant. He simply has not performed to the levels expected and no goals or assists in the league is not what you expect when you spend £20m

Hi eds,

Just a punt but would rodolfo borell be considered as our first team coach. I know he does wonders for the kids, would he be considered to make the step up or isnt the kind of manager for senior level football.

Thanks

Sam Adzii jft96

Could see him getting the job IF KK steps aside and IF we go for a Spanish speaking manager. Would help the new new manager with the language and history of the club and explain they way we want to play from youth to 1st team

Guardiola is obviously a top manager yet he is working with players who have had their style of football ingrained in them since they joined the Barce academy.

Whether he has the skill and adaptibility to coach the current Liverpool side who are not nearly as technically proficient is up in the air. His work with Barce has been relatively straightforward, imagine going from working with Xavi, Iniesta and Messi to Carroll, Downing and Spearing. It would be very tough indeed and the road is bumpy and long.

No doubt Barcas player are more talented and techinical etc but i think your underestimating Guardiola and his job

Coach deals mainly with tactics, team selection, and man management. Not teaching technical skills. A good coach works with what he has.

I think your point is moot cos there is absolutely not a hope in hell of him going to Liverpool!!

26 Apr 2012 11:11:42
why do people think that Guardiola will be any good. he has never managed anywhere else, he has bucket loads of money to spend and has the benefit of the youth academy that someone else put in place for him. Also without Messi that team would be a shadow of tehone that we all see.Can he deliver results with imited budgets, in a more competitive league with inferior players and differnt style of football that is required to win the EPL. Anyone else think the same?
Red First & Last.

Look to be fair. i just want a good manager who knows when to use youth when the crop is right. like kenny. so lets stay with kenny for a while atleast

I think Guardiola must have a fairly small bucket compared to most clubs. I think his total outlay for the last season was around 10 million - 52m out 42m in

Haven't been on here for a few days, and I haven't read any recent posts yet, but I'd like to say 'well done' to Fernando Torres.

He has a lot of haters for the way he left our club, but he did a lot of good things whilst he was a red.

But he decided to leave and I can be gracious, he's hard a hard time at Chelsea but his decision has now paid off.

Still think he should have stayed, but I hope he gets some game time in the final.

Read earlier that Kuyt can leave for 1q mill, is this true?
Think it's nonsense that Carroll will go out on loan next season too.

Kez

I would also like to say '' well done '' to Rafa Benitez for driving Xabi Alonso out of our club , especially seeing his masterclass against Bayern last night .

Probably the best passer I have seen in British football .

Must have been watching a different game, apart from a couple of Hollywood passes swept out to the wing, he looked slow. He couldn't get to grips with Bayerns midfield at all.
Please believe me, I have been watching football a long time and all those wanting Xavi back are well wide of the mark. He was never the quickest anyway but now? He's on the way down. Lucas is now a much better player than Xavi.
kidmillions {Ed023's Note - It's Xabi}

You mean the hollywood pass to Di Maria that should of resulted in Khedira opening the scoring. One of a number of fine passes by him. As for being to slow,you could of said that when we first signed him. He never has been nor will be the most mobile of playeys and him and Lucas are completely different stylistily even if they do play the same position. Jonson

Xabi was going to go to Real anyway!

Look we don't need alonso we got Adam

I believe the main players that we need in the summer is a very attacking midfielder who scores quite often, my preference would be munain and a striker Suarez has been class this season but has not provided as any goals as i would of liked, therefore i think we need a deadly striker to partner Suarez i doubt it will happen but Cavani would be the best signing we could make. They are the two signings i would love to see in the summer. YNWA

Hi eds,

I've been an avid reader of the site for a long time and you guys are doing a great job, well done. I have a few questions about the DoF role for you guys, what is the role of the DoF? How does it fit within the structure of the club? and does the manager report to the DoF or do they work side-by-side?

Keep up the awesome work,

Shane {Ed002's Note - Shane, Director's of Football have responsibilities that vary from club to club. Certainly some clubs, and Barcelona is an example, have utilised a very experienced coach in that role and allowed him to influence the style of play. Others, take Manchester United, do not have a Director of Football and some, like Chelsea, have a Director of Football with an entirely different remit with a focus on co-ordinating scouting, overseeing contractual issues and dealing with the lower tier sides.}

Hi Ed.

Relating to the first post/above, do you know what's more likely to happen regarding Liverpool's Dof? I mean, will they even get one? If so, will they have the same role as Comolli? Etc.

Thanks, Ell. {Ed002's Note - We really don't know right now, sorry.}

Ed 002 - wouldn't you say that Ferguson is MU DoF? {Ed002's Note - No he is the manager. Manchester United do not have a Director of Football.}

if people don't believe Macca, then stop reading his posts. i think that Macca is doing a great job and wonder why he does it considering he does it in his own time.

I completely agree.. Macca does a great job but in the words of my old gym teacher "Son..you need to harden the f**k up". This is the internet and rightly or wrongly people will hate, disagree and play devils advocate, you just gotta have faith in yourself and quit worrying about what other people think.

Bazingaa

Problem is that Macca doesn't "need" to be more thick skinned, or to do anything- he's doing this out of consideration for fellow fans, and he can stop any time the idiots annoy him enough that he doesn't feel like carrying on.
I'd feel the same in his shoes, and I bet the only thing that keeps him doing it is that he knows that are a huge number of fans who do rely on his posts for a bit of genuine info.

Without his posts this site would be purely for entertainment value ('Messi seen getting out of a taxi at melwood' etc).
There would be no actual info you could trust except for the Eds, who also kindly share some stuff they know.

The most suitable person to take on the Director of Football role , with responsibility for all teams at Anfield , next season and many seasons after that , is Kenny Dalglish .

Hi I hope that someone posts this and just to you all know, this is not a rumour just a rant.

This week I watched the 2 champs league semi's and I have to say that it saddened me to see so many ex liver pool players on show. Torres getting the winner for Chelsea, Meireles doing a supurb defensive job as well. Monster Masherano controlling things for Barca in the back! Alonso pulling all the strings and scoring the only penalty for Real and Arbeloa putting in a solid performance. All these are Rafa's players except one but it tells me that the man knew how to spot talent! From what I have heard in the media not the best man to man manager but where has that got Kenny? We spent so much money on Henderson, Downing and Carroll. I really dont mean this in a bad way but do they in any way compare to Alonso, Torres and Miereles? We had a really strong squad that just needed some tweaking and the then owners didn't support the manager. My question is what is the way forward? Do we relieve the manager? I must be honest he is doing something right because the team isnt playing dull soccer but not scoring goals is really frustrating when we creating so many chances. Do we build on the average players we have by adding to them or do we start over? All that I can say for sure is that I would like to see more youngsters given first team opportunities, the likes of sterling will definately give downing a run down the left wing specially when we have been notoriusly lacking in width and more importanly that final ball. I hope that we dont lose him. I also think that we need better scouts or that they need to broaden the net. We need more South american players. Its no good lookign at spain now the golden generation has just passed, they will not lift the world cup again in 2014 just like France they will fade but the likes of Brazil, Argentina etc are always a threat due to the abundance of talent that they have. We need to grab them young like Deportivo did with Rivaldo, AC Milan did with Pato, Barca with Messi.

Whatever the way forward I really hope that next year is a vast improvement on this year specifically in the league. We are a big team with lots of History but we need to forget about the past and need to make our own history to add to that of the past!

Come on you Reds !!
YNWA

Damn right, we had a goood team and just needed 2 or 3 to make it a great team. if only Rafa had got the players he wanted instead of scouring bargain basement we would have been in the Champs final and maybe would have won the league by now. All you Rafa haters must admit we were nearly there with him.

Yer we were close to winning the league, how many years did it take him?? How many years has kenny been manager??
Support the team we have, we were rock bottom when Rafa left.

To the original poster, for god sake stop calling it soccer... It's football

Tizer red

To be honest, soccer makes more sense. It is a good old English word. "Football" means a dozen different things - literally.

Rafa had deals in place for silva and villa. we would have won the prem if he was allowed to sign them

Meireles was signed by Roy

Tizer Red i think the bubble's have gone to your head if your blaming Rafa for us being as you said "rock bottom"

if chelsea win the champs league final does that mean that only the top 3 in england will qualify for champs league next year if chelsea are not in the top 4? {Ed002's Note - Yes. Fourth would take the first Europa place.}

26 Apr 2012 07:26:58
I have to say im fed up of this DOF role in our club. We just don't need one why should the DOF decide the way the team plays i think all the major choices should always fall with the manager. How many clubs have a DOF in england not many and they seem to do ok. The manager should implement he's own style on a club a DOF just gets in the way in my opinion.

I agree with one of the posters here .. I hope we don't end up with Selling Carroll, Downing, Adam or Henderson ...or even Coates ... this season they've struggle so much in their plays that they're getting hungrier and if they end up in other clubs..those clubs will reap benefits of the struggles they endured here :(

Mind it these guys are no Joe Cole, Jovanovic or Konchesky

Indian Red

If you look throughout history then we should see the best of these players in the next year. Even though these guys have played in the league before they seem to always need time to settle. I for one believe that Henderson and Carrol are actually getting better the more the season goes on, just a little too late.

If athletico madrid can attract Aguero and PSV can attract Ronaldo whats to say Liverpool can't get Lucas Moura or Leandro Damiao?

According to the general consensus, its what they would possibly cost and if we were to bid it would also depend on who else bids as there is a lot of interest in both players

This could the reason: Work Permits

Which players do need work permits?
Football players who are from outside Europe will be required to obtain a work permit if they wish to ply their trade in English football.

Will all football players who apply for work permits automatically be granted them?
Not all footballers who wish to apply for work permits will be automatically be granted them as there is specific criteria by which the immigration authorities will judge the application.

What are the criteria which will be used?
Work permits will only be issued to international football players of the highest calibre who will be able to make a significant contribution to the development of the game of football in the United Kingdom at the highest level.

Macca can be right, he can be wrong, who cares, we make mistakes, we need to lighten up or we will all have heart attacks soon. lets lay off bugging Macca till he starts saying were gonna sign messi (jokes ofcourse). aswell do we actually believe some of these rumours people post? i meen really bring 6 or 7 in and clear the likes of shelvey and kelly and them out? thats cocky talk. some are destined to go some arent. and while some are saying rafa back. although i am for the idea. i think it should be in 5 - 6 years or so. i dont agree with the tactics he used, or the way he treated some people. but i think in a few years he would learn to stop pissing people off and being negative, which is why i think personnally he should take the helm of a country for right now. so you know not to piss off the players as they come back to haunt you in the end. a learning experience if you will

A Gooner here (again)...I think its important that Liverpool stop Chelski in their tracks because a FA Cup win for the chavs will give them momentum going into the CL final, and it will be crazy when you consider that Di Matteo hasnt been in the job for 5mins and he could do what alot of top managers have dreamt of doing. But you are important to how Chelski fare in the next few weeks, so please, I demand that you win the FA Cup, and I dont care how, just do it for the sake of football...come on you Reds !!

Personally, I don't want chelsea to win the CL, and of course the FA CUP. But what is your problem with RDM? Just because other top managers couldn't do it, he isn't allowed to? lmao. We should give credit where its due.

Tekneek {Ed002's Note - If Chelsea win the FA Cup I would have thought that Liverpool fans would want them to win teh Champions League as it will benefit Liverpool.}

Top lad

Forgive me if I'm being stupid Ed but why would Chelsea winning the Champions League benefit Liverpool?

N.I. Red {Ed002's Note - If Chelsea win the Champions League and the FA Cup then Livrpool go in to the Group Stages of the Europa League through the FA Cup route rather than have to go through two qualifying rounds as League Cup winners. That saves four matches and an early start to the season. Players will have been lost to the Euros and teh extra rest will help them as well.}

Ed i would rather just win the fa cup proper {Ed002's Note - Of course but that is not what was being discussed.}

The manager does make a difference.
Who would want to meet Chelsea with Di Matteo in charge ?
Evem with 4 players banned for the Euro final. Bayern will still have a game on their hands.
What a turnaround since AVB ?

I actually just laugh now when people want him as our next manager it's really stupid. There is no logical arguement for avb at lpool and i would hate him in our dugout!

Peter

Ed002,
Does the ghost of Mourinho still echo in the halls of Cobham ?
When AVB's coaching methods were independently assessed, and trashed, was Di Matteo not a considerable part of that ?
Usually the no.2 takes a lot of the day-to-day training. I seem to remember you / another ed commenting that Di Matteo was not that highly thought of (prior to AVB's removal). What has he changed, or has it gone back to the Special One's methods ?
It is interesting that the Chelsea of now, 2012, do not differ much from the Chelsea of say 2005. Despite numerous coaches and a good few million to pay for them !
The Real KB {Ed002's Note - It was AVBs training methods that led to the assessment that the team was one dimensional and predictable and his alone. Remember that many of the players at the club now played under Mourinho (Ferreira, Drogba, Cech, Cole, Terry, Kalou, Lampard etc..}

All Di Matteo has done has let the players revert to the way they like to play, he has gone back to how Chelski setup before AVB. AVB was trying to change the style and the older players. If Di Matteo is given the job the real test for him is buying players to replace the older players and renew the squad which is Chelski biggest pending problem.

I genuinely believe the Chelski players when AVB got sacked decided to dig in through pride, all Di Matteo has done is enabled the older players to play the team and style they want...

My opinion! Would like Ed002 thoughts on Di Matteo and can he or will he do what AVB was trying to do and re-build Chelski?

YNWA jns {Ed002's Note - A decision about the manager will be taken in the summer. He is putting a good case for himself.}

26 Apr 2012 01:02:20
I kid you not; it's sods law that if we sell Carroll in the summer he'll put 30 away for whichever team he ends up at, sell Downing and he will get 30 assists, sell Suarez and he'll win the best player in world, sell Adam and he'll put every free kick he takes in he top corner
I think they'll come good! Big fish in little ponds are growing to hold their own with the sharks we have at our great club

But do the sharks follow the trawler like the seagulls...?

This doesn't really have much to do with LFC but ........ did anyone else notice the way Mourinho walked straight down the tunnel after the game ? The man is a self-rightious a**.

Any manager would of consoled their players and gave their fans a bit of applause (The Real fans were loud enough not as if they're Wigan fans).

People saying they want him at LFC (Even though it's never going to happen) need their head checking the mans caught up in his own ego.

JP

He is leaving Real. The club never took to him, and feeling is mutual. There is always two sides.

I think the whole club needs the kind of kick up the backside that only winning the league could bring including the fans and i could only see mourinho doing it. You never hear liverpool fans DEMANDING success anymore and this mentality needs to be addressed!

Peter

He's just so dam cool,
