Good day people of the world,
I'm not saying it means anything but darko kovacevic is taking lessons to brush up his English as of 3 weeks ago. We've been rumoured worth him so I thought it was worth mentioning. The last time I was told a player was taking English lessons was coutinho 9 months or so before he moved to England. I have less information than I did with coutinho so I can't say why he's taking them only that he is.
Nevada
{Ed002's Note - Darko speaks English and must be pushing 40.}
Yes ed you've caught me there. I meant mateo, and he also speaks English but is taking lessons to brush up.
Nevada
{Ed002's Note - Although a representative of Mateo Kovacic said that the player cannot perform under Walter Mazzarri and he would be ready to consider offers from certain clubs (effectively Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich or any of the major London clubs), the player has backtracked from that position. A move to Liverpool must be considered very unlikely at this time.}
I clearly stated that I didn't know the reason for his English brush up ed. Just that he was brushing up his English. Though I spar I did imply that he may be on his way to Liverpool with my comment about coutinho.
Just to be clear, I have no knowledge of either Liverpool being interested or kovacevic being interested. Only that he is taking English lessons

just watched jonjo's goal wow I think it will be a contender if not the goal of the season was as good as rooneys if not better took more skill to score how he did nice to see a former lfc player get a goal like that
Great goal, thought Dorrans last week was a bit special as well
Jonjonjo's goal at Anfield was outstanding too. He does have those goals in him. Wish him all the best in his career.

What a strike by Jonjo Shelvey.
Credit where it's due!
Still a long way for him or Rooney to go before they equal Xabi Alonso.
26 Apr 2014 16:02:20
Walcott rumours appearing again, assume we have no interest in him?
Also eds, do you feel the majority of business will be conducted after the world cup as players who perform well push their prices up? Or will clubs try to get a look in before this happens?
Cheers
{Ed002's Note - I don't know how many times I need to repeat myself, I cannot answer questions about timing.}
I understand that you don't know when transfers are going to take place, I was only wondering if historically (previous world cups) clubs have looked to do business early or late. Wasn't a statement regarding Liverpool as such just on how the transfer markets behave during transfer windows around the world cup, do clubs tend to operate differently in these periods?
I know there isn't a definitive answer that encompasses all clubs.

What an absolutely pathetic attempt by the daily fail. Actually pissing myself laughing. Trying to rock us, and what I just read, well that just stunk of desperation haha. Made out like it was WW3 or something. I say let this be the last post on it, don't let them get in the fans heads. Tomorrow we go one step closer!
One of my friends sent me the link. I was laughing my balls off as soon as I saw the "bust-up" photos. Sometimes I can't believe people actually get a salary for writing that nonsense.

Hi all. Well the nerves have started although I'm confident we can get the required result. I've read lots of posts about who we might buy and who we have no chance of etc etc, but convinced we will approach saints for lallana and shaw. They fit the profile for fsg and would poss be available for circa 55m. Add a left sided forward and the loanees and we have a squad to compete on all fronts. We will sell some fringe players so rough spend of 45 - 50 m which I believe is possible. Just my opinion.
Yes let's spend our whole budget on two players
I actually agree with buying only two players. Lincoln is right. We have loan players returning and young players coming through. I'd go for Shaw alright but perhaps a different central attacking midfielder.
Jessie Pinkman - cool name, thanks for keeping it real.
For me, Shaw doesn't represent value for the money needed to acquire his services. Some day he might well be worth £30M or whatever but at the moment he simply isn't and it's always a bit of a gamble to buy 'potential'.
"Yes let's spend our whole budget on two players"
Why not? Do Barca, Real, Bayern buy lots of players every window?
I can't think of two players better to spend the entire budget on. They are just what we need.

Been looking around the web and am going to throw a couple of names in the mix.
Would fit into the way we play perfectly by the look at it.
Ricardo Rodriguez - Left Back - Wolfsburg- 21
Mateo Kovacic-20-Though versatile and capable of playing in multiple positions ranging from deep in the midfield to behind the striker, Kovacic prefers to play in front of the back four, driving forward with the ball at his feet in order to spot a killer pass. A good dribbler, there are, however. some doubts over his work-rate off the ball.
26 Apr 2014 14:56:39
Just seen this myself. Seems much ado about nothing. The other players don't seem to be taking much interest in it? I seen it on the daily fail website so says it all really!
26 Apr 2014 14:49:18
Seen reports suarez and skrtel came to blows? Any truth or is it made up?
Oh dear! the pressure, players turning on each other, not a good sign
Its nonsense. Pathetic really.
Its pathetic journalism from the Daily Mail which is really not surprising - there was clearly no bust up, even the Daily Mail's own pictures prove that!
Word, your boys wouldn't know what pressure is. you get anywhere close to 4th and your boys get a nosebleed!
Word, your boys wouldn't know what pressure is. you get anywhere close to 4th and your boys get a nosebleed!
H look at the worm. I like that our lads get arsey over a game of football tennis, everyone wants to win here. Remember when that feeling used to be at United?
Id be ashamed to show my face on another teams page after losing 0-5 at home and 3-0 away.
26 Apr 2014 14:44:54
Any truth in Suarez vs Škrtel fight? :/
Seen pics on the daily fail looks like a bit of messing about.
Three reasons why that whole report is rubbish:
1. It's the Daily Mail
2. If anyone came to blows with Martin Skrtel there would be only one guy left standing
3. It's the Daily Mail

What would you guys think of the following summer transfer:
Jetro Willems (20yrs, left back)
Mateo Kovacic (19yrs, Box-to-box)
Yevhen Konoplyanka (24yrs, can play both wings or as AM)
Would love to see Christian Eriksen, but I don´t think he is within our budget. I think under the guidance of BR, Kovacic could be the successor to Gerrard. Jetro Willems is the Netherland version of shaw if not better, seems to impress everytime he´s playing. He would fit our style perfectly (very attack minded). Konoplyanka was supposed to be a Liverpool player at the end of january, but it never went through.
Not sure if he is what Liverpool needs, but from what I have seen in EL, he might be fantastic. Though looking at his stats regarding the Ukrainian league, it really doesn´t impress anyone. We need a winger, and he seems the best option at the moment who´s also attainable.
Would be all up for that if we can do it. Loved what I've seen of Willems and Kono; not seen Kovacic but lots of people rave about him
I don't understand all the ''Love Eriksen'' stuff, every time I watch him he never tracks back and he wastes a lot of possession by hanging onto the ball too much.
Certainly from Freekicks Eriksen seems very assured, but that is an individual part to a team effort. I haven't seen enough from him yet, although i've watched a fair bit of the Spuds this season. So i'm not sure if he'd be good for us. Even if we could sign him. Just my opinion on Eriksen but it is open to change, maybe I need to watch the lad more!?
Isn't willems out with is serious injury?
{Ed002's Note - He is and Liverpool has shown no interest in him.}
Surely Rossiter is the natural successor to Gerrard, bearing in mind that Stevie has two good seasons left in that new holding role and by then Jordan should be knocking on the door.

Anyone got butterflies in there stomach over tomorrow yet? I been ok all week, woke up this morning knowing it's the weekend and I can't get the game out me head most nervous I ever been over the footie! Start of season I would of ripped your arm off for second place, think I'd cry now!
26 Apr 2014 11:17:35
More out of curiosity, do you know of any clubs keeping their eye on Andre of Dynamo Kiev (currently on loan at Vasco)
Many thanks
Sam Adzii
{Ed002's Note - Nope.}

Morning eds,
Not really a rumour, but was just wondering how you perceived the situation at AC. Can they maintain their wage bill without CL? Are some of europes bigger clubs showing interest in any of their players ( I guess I include Liverpool in bigger clubs btw)?
Thanks
Colin
{Ed002's Note - You need to ask this on the European pages as it is nothing to do with Liverpool.}

If its true that we are looking at Papadopulos again for this summer we would surely be looking at him for a lot of a lower than last year?
I think we were looking at 12 million last summer but given his injuries and the fact it's a year down the line now in terms of his contract surely we wouldn't pay more than say 8 million?
He does seem a good player but his injuries are a huge concern to be honest. If we are looking at a centre back De Vrij would another good option who is reported looking to move this summer.
{Ed002's Note - Try the search engine.}

Hi ED's what are your thoughts on these players-
Mousa Dembele
Loïc Rémy
Sandro
Cheick Tioté
Erik Pieters
Konstantinos Mitroglou
Lewis Holtby
Marko Arnautović
Do you see any chances of Liverpool bidding for couple of them. Will they make for Liverpool's bench?
{Ed002's Note - My thoughts are it is a random list of players - no more.}
My thoughts encapsulate all of them.
Not required at Liverpool.

heres my two penneth worth as it were, The team is doing fantastic although I do believe we have been punching above our weight at times. But lady luck has been with us.
BR has finally come good as at first I thought he was out of his depth early doors as he didn't seem to know how to change things from start to middle of season, so I applaud him for that and hope he continues to change it when it needs it.
I still believe the current squad is thin on the ground when it comes to quality, I've never rated GJ, to lazy and been poor for a good while, Lucas i'm afraid is just not mobile enough for me in the job he needs to do.
Flanno will be awesome but not a true left back for me.
Agger is way to injury prone and needs to go, shame but that's the truth of the matter.
Migs worries me because he's not the full deal at the moment but hopefully he can be worked on as he's young. Apart from that were top and fingers crossed we can nick it this year, No offence to the players I've mentioned but its just my opinions. keep believing, Scouse pride
No way are we punching above our weight. The league doesn't lie and you deserve to be where you are.
We aren't punching above our weight at times. We are punching above our weight all the time. Few pundits had us in the top 4, never mind challenging for the title.
26 Apr 2014 00:44:34
Just thought I'd throw it out there thanks to Moyes I won just over 6k put 50 on its to finish out of the top four and Moyes not to last the season. Every cloud has a silver lining David thank you I think I might put 50 on him to become next Newcastle manager I can see him there plus parses is a knob!
26 Apr 2014 09:23:11
I see him getting the spurs job.
I'd go with Newcastle before spurs. Spurs have the attraction of London which seems to sway some people.
Not sure Moyes approach and Spurs are compatable. They will believe top 4 is achievable next season (Moyes missed out with the defending champions) and they also chop and change managers. Moyes develops and improves a club over time. Celtic would appear a good fit if Lennon moves south.
Love it. Nice one SB96.
Celtic job is a good shout Anfieldboy, although I think Lennon wants another crack at champions league with the bhoys so that job will prob pass Moyes by.

Jerome Sinclair, played last season for first team, anyone know how he's getting on or anything? Literally heard squat, is he injured?
He's been dreadful ever since. Lots of little injuries too it must be said but right now he's throwing it away
