Hi Ed's
I'd just like to ask a question about Raheem Sterling. Now don't get me wrong, I like this lad. He's got pace, he's got trickery, he's got a final ball, that with a little improvement, could be great, he's got everything you could want from a modern day winger. But there's just something about this kid that seem's to worry me. I don't really know what it is but it's something. I know I'll probably get a lot of disagree's with this post, and I know the boy's still extremely young, but can an Ed or someone tell me something about him that means he's not just gonna be a Lennon?
Cheers
NotInTheKnow {Ed001's Note - I really doubt he will go into writing songs mate, I don't want to second guess him, but I am pretty sure he sees his future in football......}

Ok Ed very funny, I'll clarify. Another Aaron Lennon haha.
NotInTheKnow {Ed001's Note - I don't think the issue is of him becoming like Lennon, who just lacks the ability to cross accurately on the run. My worry is his complete lack of maturity and big time attitude. Obviously he is only 17, so maturity should come later, but right now he needs to be closely watched. What we don't want is a Gazza, George Best scenario, where it all comes too soon and he doesn't have the right people around him to help him through it. That is what worries me with him.}

But i have to say, his crosses are not bad so far. when i see borini making runs to his crosses it does seem dangerous, rather than just lumping the ball into the box.

but i dont think youre the only 1 worrying that sterling could be another lennon.

Kaizer

In my opinion Suso has the potential to become a better player than Sterling... {Ed063's Note - Suso is already better than Sterling in my opinion. He is such a delight to watch and oozes class. He will be one of the best players in the world in a few years if he stays injury free}

I think he gets his head up A LOT more than Lennon.

Len

I personally don't believe his skills will fall short of expectation, what concerns me is whether he will turn out to be a mercenary who leaves at the first sign of a decent contract.
I know this can sound selfish as it's what players do for a living and if anyone offered me the same job as I have now for more money then of course I would be tempted just the same so please let me add:

I hope we can hold onto him of course I do, and if not paying over the odds for players such as Clint Dempsey means we can offer this lad a future he would be happy with then I for one use this as a benchmark for FSG's intentions. I do not call missing out on Dempsey as a failure as long as it means the cash is invested in keeping players like Sterling. Losing Sterling and also the majority of them other youngsters, for me, would be the sign of failure.

We have a youth team coming through here with enough players in my opinion to make the grade. The last time I saw this many players coming through in one go from one team united rolled out giggs scoles neville beckham and co.

All we need is a bit more time for the cream to finish rising to the top and from what I saw the other night, we are ready to take on a title challenge. I don't expect much from this season, I like to keep it real. I just look forward to whats coming in the next 2 seasons... :)

Hi all the eds, just wondered what your opinion of being Liverpool is....... {Ed001's Note - it is not my kind of thing, I detest reality TV, it is never real and is just cut to show whatever view of things the film maker wants. I would prefer Liverpool kept things inhouse, like in the past, I see no need for a TV show about us.}

Ed001, you're so old-school, i love it! {Ed001's Note - you mean old? Or so my daughter keeps telling me anyway *sighs*}

Come on admit this at least.
It was great watching all these multi millionaire footballers meeting their match in John Henry. That guys fortune spanks everyone of them, real wealth. Not very often that will happen to them so it's good to see their reaction around someone else above them in the food chain lol

my team for tomorrow would be

reina

johnson-skertal-coates-robinson

------------allen--------------

-------sahin----gerrard--------

sterling----suarez-------assaidi-

or use suso instead of gerrard , suso is ready now and the goal he set up against WBA was pure class , gerrard has not done anything like that for years

mickey b

Did you forget about the united game ?
derryred

United, hat trick against everton.
Tommy.

Swap allen and sahins positions then i like that team.
M-H

M-H
i think sahin and allen are very similar players , both can play def-mid and also attack-mid , maybe they will swap positions throught the game or the 3 of the mid will rotate when needed , but i think that assaidi is going to be some player for us , the game against west brom , some might say it was only west brom , but they beat us last time , derryred
if your on about gerrard in the game against united , well no i have not for got , but it was one of gerrards better games this season if you dont count the games for england :)) , but as i said i have not seen gerrard do what suso done with the dribble and lay off to assaidi then assaidi to sahin for the goal , but suso ran at the defence went to shoot sent the defenders the other way and you know the rest , but next time you look at it , watch suso look in the direction of sahin before passing it to assaidi , for me suso will come on in leaps and bounds if he got more starts , he would develop into a top ,top player given the chance of a run of games , thats just my opinion wich some will disagree with , but i can see us coming good and winning games soon

28 Sep 2012 21:56:28
i think we need to look at our defence more than our strikers , because i would have been happy with a 1-0 win ratherthan a 5-0 win , if the defence and the goalie were in top form then we would not let goals in on the other teams first shot on goal and we wouldnt need to score more than 1 goal , man utd won the prem a few seasons ago playing not at their best but they were winning a lot of games 1-0 , so to me a new goalie and better defenders who stay injury free would be a great start ,when reina won the golden gloves it was the defenders in front of him that also helped him win them , clean sheets is a good start , then you build on that with scoring goals

29 Sep 2012 01:26:38
why would you rather a 1-0 than 5-0 . did you mean rather 1-0 that say 5-4

Thank you very much my good man.

I said this a few days ago on here and got slated on here for it. Well I stand by my original comments and I whole heartedly agree with this one.

Huws

With a very young team, their strength is always going to be going forward. It takes experience and discipline to play the way you're suggesting and right now the squad is more suited to expression than organisation. As always, just my opinion.

Really hope sahin, allen and stevie g are our midfield 3 on saturday,as well as suso sterling and suarez as our front 3.I honestly dont think norwich will be able to handle them.

Assaidi surely has to be pushing for a start.

Mighty reds

Id have assaidi on instead of suso, maybe bring suso on around 60 min mark ...

The more I watch this program "being Brendan" it makes me cringe - there is no need to show the inner goings on in Lfc - telling Shelvey to stay on his feet / singling gourmet sterling and making him look like a plonked on national tv is all very unnecessary

How long will these program keep coming back to slap us in the face

Hope it starts to focus on the positives like the tradition and the fans

Leam Red

Well if shelvey had of listend he would not of been sent off against manchester utd would he leam red

Sterling although a grate prospect, he does have a bit of a Narcissist and a arrogant attitude.
Can't knock his talent but anyone who brushes away fans wanting to say hello is abit ridicules considering he's not at the top right now. I hope Brendan teaches him the ground level basic's that makes him realise the importance of those who adore him.
So I'm with Brendan on this one.

Simple solution. Don't watch it then.

The 'Sheeple Reds' will love the programme.
The ones that think for themselves, will hate it.

Solitaire

Not being argumentative - just wondering, when did Sterling brush fans away?

Joe

I'm with the OP....it's painful to watch. I only saw the 1st one and that was plenty for me.

Len

I think that is the point this program seems to pick up on minor errors and turn them into something major - the idea is to keep the kids out of the media - BR needs to deflate this hype around sterling and now suso and keep them grounded - behind closed doors not on national Tv

Can't help it have to watch anything LFC related even if it makes me cringe ( eg KD interviews / some of our defending this year / Pepe in goal etc)

As well as needing a goal scorer,i also think we need to add some steel to our fancy passing midfield, someone in the shape of moussa sissoko, who i belive is in the last year of his contract. If the rumours of david villa coming in on loan in january are true, then him and suarez would destroy all opposition!.On another note sahin must start against norwich after his display against west brom.I belive that someone is going to take a real beating against us soon.

Gary Medel.

Gourmet? I didn't realise young Sterling is a person with a sensitive and discriminating palate, and who is knowledgeable in the appreciation of haute cuisine. Is there no end to his talent? RED LENIN

Man Utd fan here, coming in peace.
Unlucky last week boys we were terrible n didn't deserve the win. I fink that will b a turning point in your season tho. Secondly, u guys must b livid about the John terry decision? Its clearly one rule for one, and one rule for another. Thirdly do any of you guys think Sterling is gonna be the subject of a major bid in the summer? He looks the bees knees and iv got a feeling he could end up at City or Chelsea next year, maybe he won't b stupid like the likes of Sinclair and wright-phillips n stay where he will play rather than warm the bench? What do u guys think?

Big Mac (united, not ur own Big Mac)

1)Hope it's a turning point, but will wait to be convinced
2) Not concerned with John Terry punishment, also not surprised. The FA has always been institutionally xenophobic.
3) Sterling is a young player, fresh on the scene. He's not Lionel Messi, but he would command a huge fee. No-one will bid enough to sign him, they would not get good value as things stand.

By all accounts, sterling has that same attitude Owen got after 'that goal' against. Im a massive reds fan but would agree that sterling is one of those who would leave for money. I will enjoy him while he's here though

28 Sep 2012 19:29:20
I hope sahin wisdom and coates keep theire places against norwich on saturday,i'd also like to see suso start as the guy is pure quality.

"Thanks for the match. I feel completely exhausted pshysically and mentally after the game. When I close my eyes I still see pictures from The Kop. I see all faces. All the types, diversity. It is like the tribune goes on in eternity. There is silent in the bedroom. But I hear a loud tinnitus, like a train that squeals. The sound is too deafening. My own voice seems like a weak, caracterless whistle. When I open my eyes, I am back to reality. Victorious and exhausted." And I quote later on: "As a United player, your ultimate test is to stand face to face with the kop." Anders Lindegaard to danish newspaper "Ekstra Bladet". My point is: Keep on The Kop and Anfield. Scare your opponents here in this hard period!
DanielDenmark

It seems that lindegaard is a rather literary goalkeeper...

28 Sep 2012 18:32:21
Sahin said that Robinson impressed him the most the other night against WBA but I read 1 of the eds say BR won't play a 17 year old Sterling & an 18 year old Robinson on the same flank. I would play Sterling on the right & Assaidi on the left. {Ed001's Note - not when there was Kelly and Johnson he wouldn't, is what I was talking about. Though there is still Wisdom and McLaughlin to choose from on the right, and allow Johnson to play on the left. Or the option to play Sterling on the right, in front of Johnson and play Robinson.}

allen and borini show never have been bought waste of money allen-pretty passes average tackling no forward thinking completely ineffective and borini well wot can i say should have stayed at roma average at best for those 2we could have bought iker munain isco and kept andy carrol. best signings made by br are sahin on loan assaidi yesil and br giving the youth the chance since our squad is threadbare is proving dividend and promising for the future i feel in January transfer window we need to buy some experienced players a STRIKER is a must like a llorente saldado demba ba gramiero adrian lopez and bringing andy carrol back in January is a must hes our plan b!holding mid like heranes would beef up the mid and the likes of sterling suso yesil Pacheco shelvey assaidi sahin Robinson wisdom sama sinclair must be giving a run in the first team as they are starting to prove themselves in the cup runs.the owners must start to back br in jan transfer window to build his own team if they cant back him then im seriously wondering if they have LFC heart at best.they need to update us on the stadium issue if anfield is ready to refurbished we as fans have been through alot were not asking for much all we need from you fsg is to back br in transfers&resolve the stadium issue once and for all we deserve this we pay our hard earned wages in match tickets etc.i have faith hope patience ynwa

concerned red 82 {Ed001's Note - you really need to understand something about the transfer market and football in general. We couldn't have got those other players and Carroll is not professional enough to deserve a shirt. These kind of posts are just childish and silly. They show no insight, no thought, just childish dreams about 'who we could have got' even though none of those players would have joined us!}

I think you should support a different team. The two players you mentioned are quality. Alen wins all the tackles and his passing is 150%. Borini needs a bit of time.

Allen a waste of money? What is your idea of a footballer you div....
Paisley's genius

I agree with concerned red82 hes got some valid points regarding about the youth players giving a run in the first team in premier league matches and stadium issues. in the transfer market Liverpool can attract big names but will pay over the odds. all different Liverpool fans have different views doesn't mean there divs or childsh ed01 paisely genius and the other guy who said support a different team take time out and fully read the post before disecting on what you agree or disagree lol {Ed001's Note - grow up and stop pretending to be someone else to back up your points.}

Dude did you just pretend to be someone else to make your self look like less of a mug? Looool

FIFA 13 pretty good then mate?

Anyone played Fifa. 13 yet

Will never play Fifa... it's gameplay is inferior to PES.

Yep, been on career mode, and it does my head in than M Tyler pronounces Coates as coats

28 Sep 2012 22:13:31
Yeah, I went on career mode with Borussia Dortmund, cos they are a crackin' team!

Jolly Red

Coates is pronounced as 'Coats' as he has a Scottish dad. Assaidi has 5* skills :-)!

message too SIMONPW

harry h here mate,
what i ment was when suso played the ball to asaidi he looked into the box straight away instantly knowing where sahin was.
not many youngsters do that. shows great awareness of the lad.

28 Sep 2012 23:10:44
Hi Harry H,Ye I realised exactly what you meant mate after I watched it back again, sorry bout that. I think we've got a right proper bunch of talent coming through, long may i continue. Thanks Simonpw

I think we are sitting ducks with Rodger's system, Pepe looks lackluster and I think its time for Jonesy to dance in the red nets! KT Mc GillGill

28 Sep 2012 16:29:03
hiya eds just wondered would anybody else be happy getting shut of carroll henderson downing cole for about 40 million combined fee plus what we should have in the bank from charlie adams spearing kuyt etc etc and just go all out to get falcao even if he is valued at 45 million and maybe david villa i think we are alright in every area of the pitch now we just need 1 or 2 out and out goalscorers {Ed001's Note - I would keep Henderson personally.}

There is no reason to sell Henderson as long as he keeps developing as he has been doing this season so far. He'll be a great player in a few years.

And we'd be very lucky to get a total of 25m combined for the sales of Carroll, Downing, Cole, Adam, Kuyt, and Aquilani.

Im with you Ed, and Ithink he will be staying myself. begining to think he is changing BR's mind, he had good things to say about the lad the other day, and he's only young.

28 Sep 2012 21:55:46
Am I the only one who thinks Downing isn't playing THAT badly?

I know he's not first choice, but I don't see the point in a fire sale or accepting a derisory bid of something like £8m for him. If we got £12-13m or more for him then maybe.

- Something Red -

We would be extremely lucky to get 8m for him based on recent form

Anyone seen the drivel Oliver Holt wrote for the mirror following Suarez ban then what he wrote after Terry's ban. I actually can't believe people believe themselves when they're writing such crap. Thoughts all?

McSnuggles

The Mirror, The Mail, The Sun

I avoid these like the plague as I'm convinced their 'writers' are actually a bunch of chimpanzees in suits given bananas to bang on a keyboard. It isn't even worth getting annoyed about mate, a lot of the time these 'writers' (and I use the term loosely) are itching for a reaction from fans.

JFT 96

JP {Ed001's Note - Holt should stick to writing about something he knows, if only he actually knew anything. Maybe he should ask his mam for some info on Coronation St or something, because he knows sod all about footie.}

Best way is not to read them friend just trying to provoke a reaction to justify their jobs,we have proved we do not need media support, the families of the 96 proved the truth in spite of them not because of them..... Jft96
Paisley's genius

Time to forget about it and move on

I just had to laugh when he alluded to Terry's black friends as a reason he's not racist. I forgot that Suarez has no black friends nor family, haha. Idiocy just runs rampant in some, doesn't it?

McSnuggles

Oliver Holt must be banned from LFC press conferences right? There was a fantastic article in the Mirror about Hillsborough 2 weeks ago by Brian Reade, and then this Holt drivel gets attention. I don't expect consistency from those papers anyway. Does my head in journalism, I like a good read from any source (except the s*n) but can't stand editors with blatant biased opinions. On a blog is fine, but not a national paper. The more these things are highlighted, the greater chance these people are gone from the back pages. Pressuring and singling people like Holt out will eventually damage his rep, and rightly so. That's all us common folk can do, maybe the club could take a stance against Holt with a lot of evidence now, prevent him writing articles about LFC in any news outlet. The better these people can disappear, the better for all. RC

Baring in mind injuries, I would expect something like this for Norwich tomorrow;

Reina

Johnson
Skrtel
Coates
Enrique

Gerrard
Allen
Sahin

Downing/Suso
Sterling/Assaidi
Suarez

Bench:
Jones
Carragher
Wisdom
Henderson
Suso/Downing
Assaidi/Sterling
Pacheco

SOUL

Dont think Downing has a chance of starting considering how well Sterling has been playing and how well Assaidi played against West Brom.

Riena

Johnson
Skrtel
Coates
Robison

Gerrard
Allen
Sahin

Assaidi
Sterling
Suarez

Bench:
Jones
Carragher
Wisdom
Henderson
Suso
Pacheco
Yesil/Morgan/Ngoo

Assiadi suarez sterling

robinson at LB

RED H

Pacheco has not travelled with the team.

love how gylfi is still trying to justify taking higher wages to go to spurs by stating they have got bigger ambitions its ok maybe they have but this is the 6th time since he moved to spurs he just keeps coming out with more rubbish must be a manc

He knows he's made a mistake long term, with shelvey's progression as a goal scoring midfielder & suso's advancement & undeniable ability the only advantage has is experience but will come anyway.....
Paisley's genius

He is a manc supporter. I think he said it himself.

hi eds, i would like to know your view on Nacho and is he playing or injured.
cheers, Felmil GH. {Ed001's Note - I haven't been able to keep track of all the youth lads lately, last I saw him, he was fit and playing well. I personally have high hopes for him.}

I honestly am not bothered and have no disappointment in not getting gylfi siggurdson. his arrival would have only hindered the development of suso. and after watching him in tottenham and swansea shirt i think that we already have a potentially huge star on our hands in suso. i don't see that in siggurdson. a very good player he undoubtedly is, but the potential at 23 isn't as vast as what we already have with suso under the right guidance. i am someone that regular watches streams and links to the youth and reserve games, next gen and so on. his arrival would have probably also stumped any real progress that adorjan & pelosi may well now get under brendan rodgers in the future.

I think we have a big win coming our way in the league soon - by big I mean 4 or more goals. Could be tomorrow.

I'd like to see us play a 4-3-3 but a fluid formation - almost a 4-6-0 with goals coming from any of the 6. How about:
Pepe

Hi eds and pepe, this sounds like my usual friday night call from my bro in america,he normally says 3 nil 2moro and line up and formation, then my return text to him on sat is you f##kin jinx as usual cause he wont talk on phone 'sulking'well i hope your big scoreline prediction is not another friday jinx for us that came early ,rd

Curb your enthusiasm mate!

I think the team for tomorrow should be

Reina
Johnson. Coates. Skrtl. Robinson
Sahin
Gerrard. Allen.
Sterling. Assaidi
Suarez

Yesil should replace suarez if he's nt playing too good but that team should destroy nowrich and kick start our push up the league

Hi

Any idea on Suso's contract situation? Are the club trying and are they confident of keeping him?

Thanks

Both Suso and Agger's agents are currently negotiating new deals for the pair. Agger is closer then Suso, but Suso has been making very positive noises in the media about his future at Liverpool since the Man Utd & West Brom games, which would make me think they are close.

Brendan please stop moaning about referees. You win some you lose some. Just get on with it.

Rubbish. Fergie does it and they do him plenty of favours. Good on you Brendon.

cozinoz

No - I agree with BR.
We don't get the rub of the green with ref's.
Haven't done for many years.

28 Sep 2012 11:10:19
Well said. Over the season decisions go for and against you. Get on with it Rodgers.

28 Sep 2012 11:25:00
Rodgers has been at Liverpool a few months and is moaning already - get on with it!

He didn't "moan". They asked him a question and Brendan replied in a clear, civilised tone. He merely stated what eveyone knows to be true.

Not seen Rodgers rant, but fair play to him. He's just saying what we're all thinking.

Red Raw

He wasn doing much moaning last year at swansea, maybe its the massive pressure of the size of club job in front of him that is starting to really get to him a little more of late, cause at end of day,we lads cant imagine that pressure, yes before you all say we have pressure finding jobs looking after families bills,so on so on,which we have and they are big pressures to and real life,we aint got millions and millions moaning at us giving out so on so on,let him have his moan,if it results in us getting decision are way thats good, and it might relieve a bit of that stress ans strain he is under,b4 u all say i know he getting well paid to,ynwa br

The squeakiest wheel gets the most oil ask the manager of utd.....
Paisley's genius

Nothing to do with stresses and strains - more to do with unfair treatment from ref's in most of the games so far this season.

Are these people telling BR to get on with it the very same people who think that Fergie has the referees in his pockets?

I think BRs point is valid both for Liverpool at the moment, but, more importantly, further raises that all teams tend to suffer against United.

Refs know that if they make an incorrect call when a team like Norwich are concerned then they won't take much criticism. Get it wrong against Utd then they'll face criticism from the media, fans and Fergie. That's bound to swing decisions in favour of United.

BR raising his concerns about poor decisions will at least highlight to the likes of Mike Riley that refs need to be more consitant. Well one BR for sticking up for the rest of the clubs.

He is not moaning just stating facts.

Old bacon face didn't moan last week did he?

His moaning about not getting big decisions at Anfield earned Utd 3 points and got us a man set off for good measure.

We don't want things evening up over a season, we just want a fair game¦ every game!

Good on you BR; showing some proper leadership and standing up to the inept refereeing!

GGK

Fergie ranted at the 4th official last Sunday and helped Shelvey get sent off. Fergie moans they never get a penalty at Anfield and low and behold Valencia gets one after being blow over by a gust of wind!
He is planting the seed for tomorrow and I'm sure that any decisions tomorrow may favour us. BR is doing a fantastic job and 3 wins on the bounce in the league should propel us back in contention for top 4

Am i the only one who wants to see Assiadi and Sterling playing off Borini? I'm not saying Suarez on the bench for ages but it would be nice to see if Borini wastes 6 chances to score one goal? With Borinis movement and the pace of the wide lads,i think it could work! We have a lot of attacks break down in the final third because Suarez tries too much and loses the ball.
WBD

If it helps us start banging them in then yes why not.

No player should be guarenteed to start they should have to earn that right, I think front three of Assaidi, Suarez , Sterling would be good though. Suarez doesn't have bad scoring record and borini off bench will be good impact and energy sub.

JD

I say wait for borini to score before u start taking off the only striker we have that's scored in the prem this season

I want borini to start playing central and Suarez starting on a wing.
Stirling on the left, borini central and Suarez on the right.
Suarez and Stirling could swap round during the game but borini should stay put.

MIKEY

Suarez on the bench??????
NAVANRED

Jd your right what you say no 1 should b guaranteed the start, but i think there is some senior players at club who are,and form isn great they still wont b dropped.ynwa

I think Mikey gets the goldfish on this occasion. I like Luis on the left though...lets face it, he's not there to put crosses in, he always wants to be fairly direct and he's not a winger. Of course they could switch around but Assaidi looks to be a decent crosser and I'd like to see him on the right getting behind defences on his more comfortable foot.

so rodgers is complaining to the fa concerning the amount of decisions going against us this season. get over it, you win some you lose some - stop moaning!

In life your allowed to complain it happens alot. If in your work you were getting treated unfairly eventually you wouldd have a complaint to be mad.

He isn't making a big deal of it, it was one conversation that many managers have with Mike Riley at some point over the course of a season.

Jordan

We have been treated unfairly by officials in nearly all our games and that's a fact. Fergie always gets the big decisions his way because any ref knows if he gives a big decision against Fergie he will be singled out and bullied and his name on all the back pages the next day. Rodgers is just letting officials know this kind of thing goes on.
Fair play to Roberto Martinez for saying it after the game at Old Trafford. The same set of rules should apply to both teams.

Did you see Mulumbu's challenge on Henderson? Definite red but not even a booking. Maybe Henderson should have started crying his eyes out like Jonny Evans and he would have been sent off.

Rodgers is right, the inconsistency in decisions should be highlighted, one game a lad gets sent off for going into a 50/50 and the next a late, studs up,shin high tackle that gets nowhere near the ball doesnt even get a yellow, somthing had to said.

If we just roll over and take it (again) it will never stop. We would be making it easy for them, especially if we are playing someone like EFC or MUFC and they have already moaned about decisions. You can say that it doesn't matter if you like but I would always disagree. When I played football, I would have a constant dialogue running with the ref right though the game. Sometimes you get along with them and they start to give you the benefit of the doubt and sometimes you can put enough pressure on them to make them sick of dealing with you. Refs can always be influenced.

Hey guys.
Do you think we will win tomorrow?

Depends on the team. Not sure Assaidi will be fit enough for two games in a row but he looked really good and would love to see him play again.

He could make a difference in last third.

Hi Eds.
I was hoping that you would be able to shed some light, on a few reports that I have read recently here in South Africa.

LFC's matchday revenues (per season) are 40m, compared with Man U 106m, Arsenal 93m and Chelsea 63m.
Further Man U have just signed a 7 year deal with General Motors (Chevrolet) which starts in 2014, and is worth $559m...my heavens!.

In this context, the sooner the "re-development" of Anfield takes place, the better, because LFC are falling behind (FINANCIALLY) at an alarming pace.

Your comments.
Regards Cabernet.

The GM motors sponsorship started in 2012.

Disney!

The GM motors sponsorship was a F-Up by some guy who worked for them and got fired almost a week later.

BthekingB

Starts in 2014 (according to Reuters).
Thats $80m a year, heavens thats double LFC's current matchday revenues per season.

Think it is absolute priority time for FSG now, they "HAVE" to move ahead with the Stadium Redevelopment ASAP!!.

B

Intersting... care to expand or say where we can find out more?

Mrpjd

They've signed a 7 year shirt sponsorship deal with chevrolet, probably in line or slightly above lfc's standard chartered deal. rumours suggest it is around £25m per year, nowhere near $559m!
on today's exchange rate that is worth roughly $280m (US dollars), nowhere near whatever source you have read.

This just shows the two 'distinct spheres' LFC and Man u are operating in.
Man U $559m deal, plus $300m odd (expected from limited share offering).
But!
Fsg wouldn't pay £1m extra for Dempsey.

Man u, certainly taking the initative wrt the FFP rules.

Time to get a move on with things FSG!.

See above link.
Deal said to be worth close to $600m over 7 years.
It absolutely freaked me out reading it.

Morning eddies and fellow red fans.what position do u think Daniel Pacheco should be play as he seems 2 be a traditional no 10 not more of a striker or a winger.your option please. {Ed063's Note - He needs to adapt to be a winger. He is not defensively good enough to play as the attacking midfielder in our team}

Ed are u mad?
Against west brom i lost count of the amount of times pacheco ran back and took the ball from someones football just before they took a shot/pass

28 Sep 2012 11:23:13
I do have to say that Pacheco played really really well the other night at the Hawthornes. Very impressive. I would say that if he keeps this standard up he is excellent cover as a flanking midfielder or a flanking forward. RED LENIN

To play at all pacheco needs to keep improving, his display against was wba was probably his best yet.I was impressed to see him tracking back and tackling on wednesday as this had been missing from previous performances,if he can keep that up and improve on it he might put himself in a position for a place on the bench

Last night I heard Adrian Durham talk about Liverpools young players who played against WBA, he was impressed but felt they where to young to do anything in the premier league. In essence what he was saying was "you can't win anything with kids", where have we heard that before. It's what fergie did and what wenger has so nearly done a few times.
As Durham is so often wrong, the future looks bright and hopefully in a year or so we can remind him how wrong he was.

You are 100% correct.

But.

Most "journalists" suffer from cognitive dissonance so it won't matter anyway.

I don't care if we finish 1 place above relegation this season. To see the young talent coming through is fantastic. True it wouldn't be good for their morale but I haven't be so excited about Liverpool's future for a long time. Roll on 2015/16!

I think we'll surprise a lot of people THIS season!

Hi eds,

I know shelvey is rated at Liverpool but does Rodgers trust him now at the moment after the red card against united? I just think with a 3 man midfield they all have to work really hard n his tackling isn't very good and also his marking really needs to improve as shown against arsenal when cordzola scored.

Also with sahin, if he performs well for us it surely will be a double edged sword as the rest of Europe will be watching n real will price us out of a move, do u know what sort of figures were quoted for sahin last summer?

Cheers lads

The big Nolo

Shevley: his tackling needs working on for sure, but didn't a certain captain used to (and still does now & then) go in for rash tackles. The pro's of his game out weigh the cons

Sahin: If he does do well, we've got a head start on rivals for his signature, we have a full season where Rodgers, the fans and his team mates can persuade him this is where he should play his football! If the price is too much, its too much, but I guess we can tell by the fee we paid for a loan, rodgers thinks he might be worth it!

El Diablo!

First thimg dont be silly! How many times has gerrard done that exact same thing! He just went in full blooded i'd sooner he did that than fannied about like mirelles used to do! Only way he'll be out of the team is one of the other lads steps up... I agree on sahin that could happen... I'd love to keep him watched him play for bvb and he is a class act really...

Can you trust any young player?
