29 Feb 2012 21:43:00
ha ha ha, we have to get a centre back to show englands forwards how to score. lol, thats funny as he took it quite well.
huddz red

Last ten minutes were the best, holland deserved their win.
huddz red

Hilarious ... wait wasnt it our CB who scored first on Sunday?

Liverpool fan living in Middlesbrough here and i went to the England u21 today against Belgium. Before the game while i waiting outside i saw Damien Comolli go into the ground to watch. Is here any news on somebody from either of the teams playing?

Given that our primary strategy is to buy young players we should almost expect to see Comolli at an u'21 intl.

Interest in Zaha has been bantered about. Eds. what about Marvin Sordell (though I think we'd have to wait till next Jan.)

29 Feb 2012 21:19:49
i see a pattern here team with lfc players playing two team with no lfc players no longer playing nil fantastic cross from kuyt

What? Are you pi**ed

You can do that all day for us we havn't got any one that can head a ball like that.

29 Feb 2012 20:34:42
What's happened to the lad that's big and hard?

Rafa's Purple Goatie

So you would make him play through injury in a friendly? Club over country any day, at least we don't do a Utd and claim all who can represent the country are injured or not "feeling" up to it.

LFC_7

Quite the opposite, I didn't want him, or downing, to play tonight. At the time, I was wondering if he picked up an injury, but he didn't, so all is ok.

Rafa's Purple Goatie

29 Feb 2012 21:18:07
What A Cross Dirk Kuyt haha we need him to do that for us.

29 Feb 2012 21:07:16
Just got back from work, so have missed the first half of England vs Holland.

I heard Gerrard went off quite early on in the game. Is he injured? If so what was the extent of the injury - was it serious?

Thanks, James. {Ed003's Note - I was wrong first time,he has a tight hamstring}

29 Feb 2012 20:58:24
Gerrard gone off as a precaution tight hamstring. Good lad club always comes before country.

Mighty reds

29 Feb 2012 20:54:48
Gerrard gone off for tight right hamstring as precaution I hope he's ok we need him.

29 Feb 2012 20:46:40
Don't know how Enrique isn't Spains first choice LB he is incredible, top class. What a signing he has been, let's be honest no one was 100 percent sure of him and he has shown how good he is. He seems a laugh off the pitch as well which is good to see and always gets a mention from the other players when they talk about worst dressed lol. Let's hope Stevie isn't injured if he is I will be flippin angry!

Actually I mentioned his name on a forum way before his name got spoken about and I got one reply afterwards with, Oh good shout, then it was all back to talking about Contreau (spelling) etc! Feel quite smug now, although will probably be my first and last time it happens like that!

Keith

29 Feb 2012 20:38:55
Gerrard has been substituted I really hope it's not an injury.

29 Feb 2012 20:35:50

All you woolly back mancs,gooners,chavski,and bitters going on about a Micky mouse cup we have just added to our silverware collection,remember one thing, it's one cup more than all four of your jealous lot put together are going to win this season...lmfao.

29 Feb 2012 19:54:28
lets think about it, Stu goes to the next most likely English manager to see what captain he is going for so he starts with the man they want. Harry says Parker bullet dodged, Stevie all ours and want feel he has to play every game for England and will retire from international scene per-longing his Liverpool career like Scholes.. Simples.. ffffth

29 Feb 2012 19:42:17
Not watching the England game. Why should we? Who gives a sh*t about a sh*t team? Not me. Scott Parker captain? Wow..

29 Feb 2012 17:25:07
Why are so many people on here talking about England? I couldn't care less and only care about Liverpool. I would rather non of are players went on international duty, how many times have our players got injured going? Pearce is and always has been an arse hole, he is never going to change and whilst he is in charge of England I hope even more non of our players go. Just like to say a big thanks to the Eds especially Ed 001 who seems to put in a huge amount of effort on all the sites. Keep up the good work!
JFT96
Smithy

Your a pretty good example of just whats wrong with this country in general

Why is he an example of whats wrong with this country he said nothing wrong other than he doesnt care how england get on in football whats wrong with that most people dont care about england football team he didnt say he wouldnt support our country if we were in a war just a football game you need to give your head a shake most fans prefer club football over national football thats why if you look its all the smaller league teams that go to the national matches

I absolutely agree with the person saying that the original poster is "a pretty good example of just whats wrong with this country in general" If we all got behind the England team, there would be no more robberies or assaults in the streets, no more murders, no burglaries, drugs use and drug related crime would diminish. Oh, and as well as all holding hands and singing "Kumbaya" we all might learn to spell and punctuate correctly.

Ahoy - and have to admit I will probably watch the England Game this evening.

Personally I am not surprised that SG has not been made captain tonight. Pearce alone knows the reasons, but Parker is more likely to play 90 minutes.

Can you honestly perceive that the club / King Kenny would allow England to use our main man for anything more than the first half in a friendly, especially after 120 mins on Sunday, and this weekends game coming up.

I also believe SG has not been allowed to return to Melwood with a "knock" to give England some exposure. Aside form Stevie there are no marquee or marketable football names playing.

Like or loathe (in most cases) no Fat Frank, no Wobbly Mouthed Rio, No Captain Calamity, No Shrek so they need a big name to be there.

He will play 45 minutes and I will then turnover and watch Swamp People on the History Channel, its quality, but not quite up there with Pawn Stars, or Storage Wars YuuuuuuuuuuuP.

BOILED ONIONS

I understand you mate and totally agree, lets hope the rest of our players away on international duty don't play much. i know suarez is as i am watch the uruaguay v romania game now.
huddz red

What channel is it on mate?

Joshlfc

Ahoy - SKY 529 new series as well - Storage Wars is the best though.

BOILED ONIONS

Soz mate just come back on this site as its half time. i was watching it off wiziwig.tv website.
huddz red

When i said half time i meant the england game, the uruagy game already finished. 1 -1 it was

Storage Wars for me. Brilliant. And I'm in Kenya

Just reading through some of the posts regarding the England captain situation. Most on here are taking a sensible approach but some are acting like spoilt little girls. 'Gerrard did'nt get it cos Gills a manc'.... 'its cos Pearce holds a grudge from 10 yr ago'.... 'its cos the fa don't like us' etc etc etc etc, the minority of you need to grow the hell up and stop making the rest look bitter.... Have a nice day. HERBIE(MUFC)

HERBIE just went bananas, Hey lad if you dont like what we put on this liverpool page then dont bother coming on here giving it the big one lad ! I'll say what i want in regards to pearce and england and a no mark like you wont have any impact on me lad so as i say do one on your own page if you dont like it, Oh and your the big girls blouse TIT HEAD !

It's a shame Rooney will barely be at the Euros, let alone able to captain the side..

McSnuggles

Personally could not give a toss about england. so quite frankly do not care who the captain is. but we all know gerrard is the better player and captain. england can make there own mistakes. cheers

Danny

Herbie lad double standards and all that kid, Argentina songs and anti England songs. Tut tut i think you messed that one up. cheers mighty reds.

29 Feb 2012 17:22:09
I dont really understand people getting in a huff about Gerrard not being England captain. I really couldnt careless about England.

I just want as many Liverpool players fit for the weekend against Arsenal. Lets hope Gerrard plays no part at all it means he has no chance of getting injured. Lets hope all liverpool players are rested for the weekend. We have just come off a big 120 mins and got a big month ahead.

As i say i am a Liverpool fan not an England fan.

Cheers
mighty reds

I could not believe he was overlooked, but to be honest i am glad he was, and if harry comes in i hope he makes parker captain too, No need for Gerrard to be committed to them after the Euro's then, hopefully he will see retire from international football after the Euro's and we get him to our selves!!

29 Feb 2012 16:49:44
Maybe Pearce is still hurting from the Fa cup semi finals we knocked forest out of years ago hence not giving our stevie the armband and playing others ahead of other liverpool players but so what im not bothered one bit about england and who captains them and plays for them alls im bothered about is stevie etc are fit and ready for Liverpool only. Pearce can stick his cockney and manc mates right up his arse !

LOL this post sums up a lot of the views of biased scousers on this site. Crazy conspiracies at Anfield these days, everyone is against Liverpool haha!

I guess these conspiracies are your explination for your less than average league position too? And before you say, well done for winning the CC. But until you build on that with good league or CL form it doesnt count for much

Gav (MUFC)

Counts as 1 in the Trophy Cabinet - thanks Gav.
Maybe it is just me, and I mean no offence by this, but everytime I see your sign off Gav I chuckle..
Gav I assume is short for Gavin
MUFC is short for Mutha F***ka

Lifelong red, and am not and have never really been interested in the england team, not since euro 96 when El Veg failed to pick Fowler. So what if the FA drones and Arry's boy Pearce want Parker as captain, we have more important things to concern us, will Johnson be fit for Sat and will Hendo start ?

Was the brunette with Henry on sunday his missus, only out of interest like!

Dave in Spain

Yes she is mate she's a bit tasty aint she

MJ

The lady you are referring to is Linda Pizzuti (spelling?) She's active on twitter and interacts with Liverpool fans on there quite a lot. She seems very nice, and genuinely interested (and apart from that, she's a babe!) cheers, Brian YNWA

29 Feb 2012 16:12:58
England will see a big improvement tonight if he actually plays a midfield of Parker and Gerrard with Parker hanging back and letting Gerrard push on with the attack. I believe that is exactly what will happen with Liverpool next year. Gerrard helping Suarez and Andy with the attack from Central Midfield and Lucas hanging back.

Not a rumour but an observation. you are advertising the sun on sunday on a liverpool fans site!! WHY?? {Ed001's Note - can you give me the URL of the advert please? Right click and copy url, then paste it into a message on the contact form and I will get that advert blocked on all the sites. We don't choose the adverts, they are done through Google Adsense, but we can block a particular one from appearing if we have the URL.}

Ed01 is boss. JFT96 Lee YNWA {Ed001's Note - I hate that rag, if I could find the ad in question I would block it myself, but I always seem to get adverts for games or winding up orders. Probably due to the research I am doing for the sites, Google uses browsing history and the content of the page you are on to decide the ads shown.}

So glad I use an Adblocker, as never see any, anyway!

Keith

Fair enough Ed. The closest I come to that rag is SkySports(apologies). I'll keep my eye out for the Ad if the OP hasn't sorted already. Ed, any whispers about re the Stadium? Got a feeling that we'll hear nothing till next season. Cheers. Lee YNWA {Ed002's Note - There is nothing about the stadium.}

ED001....hero extraordnaire ! Love this site !! Well done ED

An appeal to any LFC players who represent England. Please Please retire from INT Duty. England will never win anything(the only trophy they ever won they cheated their way to the final,dont believe me? research the semis it was a fix). LFC is more important than a country where those in the south despise the North and were the national government even tried to destroy the very fabric of our city and our communities. Turn your back on the three lions leave all that to white van driving sun readers.

29 Feb 2012 15:16:59
I am an Irish fan and if I had a choice of Ireland winning the world cup or Liverpool winning the league or even just qualify for the champions league I'd pick Liverpool all day long who cares if steve captains England I'm glad he is not, anyway who really cares about the national teams.pauric

29 Feb 2012 15:07:36
I for one am happy for Parker to take the captains armband for England,won't stop Gerrard being the main man at the Euros trying to drag the average England team through the group stages,I find myself less and less interested in circus England nowadays.Gerrard should never have had the armband taken away last time!

Hi Eds
Just want to say a few words without offending anybody. Forget Scott Parker leading England tonight, Lets hope Stevie. G. leads the Reds out on saturday and galvanises himself and the rest of the team to produce a top performance and give the Gooners what for and move us closer to that much prized top four position. That's is a much more important issue.

We desperately need the 3 points no question about that, and a much needed home win. I strongly believe, that the Carling cup victory will be very significant for the the rest of the season. I know there will be people who will say don't get carried away, as we only beat a championship side. but I have looked, at all the carling cup highlights on LFC.TV at least 5 times: which includes dressing room celebrations, the Fans celebrations, interviews with KK, the owners and the players. And what comes across is just how much everybody really enjoyed it. just a Mickey mouse cup, oh yeah tell that to the fans the players, KK and the owners. as far as I can see. there was absolutely no contempt shown by anyone for the Carling cup victory very much the opposite.

The dressing room celebrations and the players reaction to the amazing support shown by the best fans in the world( what a noise) to them told me the players are truly chuffed with being cup winners and overwhelmed by the fans and now realise, just what winning trophies really means to fans and the club, and this makes me believe the touch paper has truly been lit and there will be self belief within the ranks and the fans hopes will be raised and the excitement and noise on saturday will be to much for the
Gooners, but our boys will be driven on by the passion and noise generated by the fans and a new self belief and this will continue until the end of the season when will win the FA Cup finish 4th. not a bad season: 2 cups and champions league qualification.

The Reds are coming up the hills boys.

THE RED ROBIN

29 Feb 2012 14:25:43
Why is everybody so concerned about the England captaincy not being given to Gerrard? More pressure for me, that captains armband brings bad news to anybody who gets it. Steven Gerrard wont settle for second best from John Terrys absence. Also, lets not be too concerned about Craroll and Henderson not being picked. The possibility of injuries decreases massivley over the summer and its probbaly best at their age that they aren't exposed at a Euro.

29 Feb 2012 14:12:07
Some of the stuff I read on here does bring a smile to my face. Some of it from reds fans demanding who we should buy and who should play, whose good enough and who isn't. Fair play, it's everyones perogative to have an opinion as they see fit.

What really makes me smile is when other teams fans come on, Spurs, Arse, Mancs even the bitters and have a pop at

a. How much Kenny has spent (net £32m for the record)
b) How bad are players are!
c) Kenny still organising like the 80's etc...

Can I just say one thing to all these fans from these clubs. You appear to know a lot about US, more than we know about you. Mancs aside can the rest of you say your likely to win anything soon? Spurs, when 'arry goes what happens to you??

I would suggest the majority of LFC fans are happy with the progress to-date under Kenny and his team. Yes it could be better, but that could be said for any team and that includes Man City!. You know, you all appear to be a little bit concerned that after just over 14 months, we are in the main playing better football, look more together as a team, HAVE won a trophy, and more importantly appear to be growing in confidence for a relatively young side. Could it be you are that disatisfied with your OWN teams performances that you feel the need to come and piss on our parade??

Feel free to do so boys because we don't care. We have heard it all before and no doubt will continue to do so. It show's me that your more concerned with us than your own sides!

On another note just seen Stevie has not been named captain. It beggers belief how a player of his ability, standing, effort can continually be overlooked for the England captaincy. As a red I am not bothered about England but I do feel this is an honour Stevie deserves more than most and hopefully this is just the judgement of a man who know's he's only got 1 maybe 2 games so wants to a name for himself - YNWA Stevie! - TMac

29 Feb 2012 14:04:30
on the plus side to Stevie not captaining England tonight - he wont be forced to play for 15minutes after picking up an injury, and so wont be out for months, like when Crapello wouldnt sub him against France!!

29 Feb 2012 13:27:42
I think Pearce has made a decent decision here. Big Liverpool fan and I have no doubts gerrard is a more experienced captain but he is unsure of his future in England. Every Liverpool fan surely would be happier to see gerrard leave England to concentrate on his club career so now would be a good time to find a new captain. Parker is the obvious choice for me and the only way to get better is through experience. Not sure if that is pearce's reasoning but if so, I agree with him.

I doubt that will be Pearce's reasoning, in fact I doubt that he has any reasoning, in fact I'm not convinced he has a brain. He has to be the lease intelligent person in football, the FA clearly have no idea what they are doing, watching the England U21's play when Pearce was in charge was a very tiresome yet painful experience, I cant imagine what he's going to do with the England squad.

Understand your point but Parker is only 5 months younger than Gerrard and if the championships will be Gerrard's last because we are making way for younger talent then the same I fear will be for Parker - use the experience while it's there is what I say.
KernowRed

Underline pearces brain dead approach to football. if the FA give it to him full time god help us. Mat Lawton in the Express rightly calls it 'ths stoke experiment'. parker, good player, nowt against him just doesnt compare. Clearly pearce see's as someone in his own mode i.e tugh tackling passionate. Dear oh dear.

29 Feb 2012 13:22:12
Poor decision and selection.
Stuart Pearce named Cleverley and Campbell (both with only few games this season) instead of Henderson and Carroll.With G Johnson and Walker (two RB injured) he called Lescott (CB left foot) instead of Kelly.

Isn't Henderson captaining the U-21's tonight, so that is why he is not in what is just an experimental squad tonight? Lescott called up, just means Richards will play RB, rather than cover for Glen! I don't agree with not taking big Andy, as we are short of strikers after all! As for Kelly, is he playing for the U-21's tonight, not sure?

Keith

29 Feb 2012 13:01:39
Hi eds,

Do you think this will be stevie G 's last championships for england seeing as he was overlooked for the captaincy.

Red raj {Ed001's Note - no idea.}

Think he's already said he's thinking of packing in International football after the Euro's to prolong his Club career.

Gerrard is a talent wasted in england's national squad. he shud retire frm international footie. He is too good for england.

29 Feb 2012 12:45:47
parker as england captain haha. my spurs mate sumed it up perfectly. 'how can a guy with 10 caps and not even the captain of his own club with no international tournament experience get it'. funny thing is my mate highly rates parker but IMO is spot on here

29 Feb 2012 12:44:42
Scott Parker captain of England in front of Stevie G what a laugh who thinks the FA had something to do with this i.e David Gill do not trust them as far as i can throw them what do you think eds. {Ed001's Note - who cares? It's England managed by the world's worst ever coach. I have absolutely no interest in who captains them, I would rather no Liverpool players ever played for them again myself.}

Fantastic reply ed001. Spoken like a true liverpool fan.
Indian Buzzer {Ed001's Note - fingers crossed no Liverpool players get a game for England, or have to suffer the 'coaching' of Pearce.}

29 Feb 2012 12:23:15
Thought Stevie wouldn't get the captains armband for England when Pierce delayed the decision, Pierce hates all things Liverpool since his Forest days and Hillsborough. Psycho my arse! Capello slapped him about! what did he do? fook all. Wouldn't blame Stevie for retiring from that scene right now: Let's face it there not gonna win anything..
kidmillions

No he does not Mr Paranoid
Parker is suspended for Spurs next 3 games So can play full 90 mins so don't have to have 2 captains
Stop Making Liverpool fans look pathetic!

Lyndon

I couldn't give a toss about England. Surely the fact that SG will now be able to concentrate on captaining our team can only be good news. -SH-

Lyndon; What you on about? Tosser.
kidmillions

Pearce was always going to make someone who could play 90 mins captain tonight and means as Parker is not playing at wkend because of sending off he does not need to be rested it would of been him or Hart.
That's all.
Lyndon

29 Feb 2012 12:17:45
Scott Parker - age 31 - 10 caps
you havnt got a clue SP

He is a crap manager anyway he will only have one game then he will go back to where he belongs under 21 football {Ed001's Note - he belongs nowhere near destroying young footballers' careers with his terrible idea of coaching!}

hi guys great website. in my honest opinion there is one player who i would like to see back and that is ryan babel. i feel sorry for him because he left and he was a great player for us. i think he was played at the wrong position when rafa was in charge. personally i would like to see him come back because he has pace and has the abilities to become a great player. what do u guys think? thanks and ynwa

No just no, i don't think i need to say anymore. I don't really want anyone back to be honest, let's look forward.

He had potential when we bought him. Meaning he had the potential to become a great player but he never and never will.
Unfortunately. I met him a few times with dirk kuyt. Nice man.

That is probably the last player i would want back. Alonso would be the one i would want back the most.

Hey Eds

How much money did Liverpool make for winning the Carling Cup?

Thanks

Marc {Ed001's Note - the prize money was £100k, plus there is TV money, a cut of the gate receipts and increased merchandise sales etc.}

Ed, trying to make something out of nothing hey. Just be plain - its a mickey mouse cup! {Ed001's Note - one that we won and you didn't. So stop whining child and just remember, it's one trophy we have that no one else can have this year. Oh and it guarantees entry to European football.}

#random...
If I had to choose between 4th place and winning the Carling Cup,it's the Cup everytime. I know Champions League is important and comes with bagloads of money and that we can attract so-called better players,but try telling that to me Sunday night when i was screaming my head off after the A.Gerrard miss,making a complete person out of myself in front of the family,jumping up and down etc etc you get the point I'm sure. 4th place in the league will NEVER get such a reaction out of me because 4th does not put a trophy in the cabinet. A great man many years before my time once said 1st is 1st,2nd is nothing. So why settle for bloody 4th when you can do what Liverpool does best and win a trophy or 2? Think about it... Those who have a brain.
Capetownred

For those who have a brain would also know that champions league attract more revenue and world class players. It also mean playing with other teams from other countries and whether we can match up to their standards or not. We settle for bloody 4th is because we aren't good enough to be in the top three. Yes winning a trophy is good but we almost lost to a team from a lower division! For those who have a brain if we are going to settle for that standard then we are a long way from being what we were twenty years ago!

Exactly mate. It's not as if the fans get to see any of the champions league money, I would rather have a cup. The greatest moments for me watching Liverpool is Istanbul, Cardiff and wembly. Finishing 4th all them times is now a distant memory, it's not about taking part it's all about winning.

MIKEY

I am surprise with you MIKEY, most of the time you post a lot of sense.
I am sure you know 4th spot and CL is vital and important for the long term progress and future of the club, not just me and many fans saying that, the manager and the directors have said it many times.
Roy {Ed001's Note - winning trophies is THE most important thing though.}

I agree that nothing beats the feeling of winning a cup...but I miss those dramatic Anfield European nights and it kills me to see United and Chelsea preparing for a midweek game when we're not. So I'd rather get 4th every year than finish 5th and win the Carling Cup

Red Ollie

Winning trophys attracts the best players. Not getting 4th. These better players with a winning mentality finally, will more likely get us in the champions league again and more likely to actually win it rather than just turn up and collect the money like arsenal.
We want trophy hungry players at our club, not money hungry players.
Am I speaking sense again?

As always MIKEY .. :)

{Ed001's Note - winning trophies is THE most important thing though.}

Yes its the ultimate aim and I am over the moon with our cup win on Sunday and I dont care how we won it, but I dont need to tell you about CL money , attracting players, competing against the european best etc etc ..
I got a temperature of over 38 so my brain is half baked and cant get into an assay on the benefit of CL.
Roy {Ed001's Note - coming 4th every season and winning nothing will not attract any better players than winning trophies will.}

Judged on trophies not the ability to enter a competition.

I'm sure most players want to sign for a club where they can win honors and trophies, instead of just qualifying and playing in the CL but with nothing to show for at the end of their playing days.

Just ask Kuyt - he could have left us in the summer but stayed because he believed that with the new owners and KK at the helm, he can win honors and true enough, emerged as our hero and finally got his reward with a winners medal. Contrast that to a certain blondie who declared that he signed for the chavs so he can play in the CL but to date won bugger all... SingRed

Do you think van persie is going to look back in a few years time and say "wow what a career i had, come look at my trophy cabinet nothing in there, but look how many times i finished 4th!!!"

Would you prefer 10 4th place finishes or 10 seasons with silverware ?

G BOX

Liverpool FC exists to win trophys YNWA

The whole "4th place and we're in Champions League!" hysteria is just that.
Trophies are all that matter.

Once our revenue streams are built up, and we are challenging for title every year, we won't even need Platini's money.

It's fantastic to have won a trophy and I'm over the moon about it but be honest, if Chelsea won the Carling Cup and we pipped them for 4th we'd laugh at them. And I'm sure the best players do want to win trophies, but the best players also want to play on the biggest stage in club football, and that's the Champions' League. I don't agree that being Carling Cup champions is more attractive to a prospective signing than CL football. It's brilliant, amazing to ave won the Carling Cup but we can't rest on our laurels, and if we're outside the top 4 for the next 5 seasons I for one will be extremely disappointed

Red Ollie

So you are saying you would rather win the mickey mouse cup every year than finish 4th? How the mighty have fallen. No ambition at all. Aim for the major trophies like the FA cup etc, no one will take you seriously if you aim for the carling cup every year.

Don't understand why we are being linked with Keita. Isn't 32 yrs old not the policy for FSG and he won't be for free.

Sometimes experience can be very valuable- Keita played really well in the Africn Nations, and if anyone doubts what a 32 yr old can bring ,just look back to how Gary Mac changed our fortunes when he arrived.

Agreed - just look at Bellamy. His contribution has been invaluable. We need 2 players in each position to cover for injuries, especially since we will be in the Europa league next season. SingRed

Hes got no hair but we dont care gary gary mac

Hello, i hear from a very reliable source, that andy carroll is using pantene, and would recommend it to everyone. Eden Hazard has also expressed an intrest in pantene, we could be in for a good summer.

I heard it is Head and Shoulder for Carroll.

Pantene? Isnt he a young French winger?
And why is andy Carroll using him? Very unsettling haha

The Carling Cup is a tournament. Not a match.

They might have had a rocky final but the wins over Chelsea and Man City to get there were excellent. Winning the competition is a culmination of all the games, and despite a sub far performance in the final, they won it and truly deserve it for their performances in the competition over several months. Don't forget what went before.

With the upmost respect to every single editor, no matter how popular or not, do we, the readers and posters, have to specifically ask if we are interested in a player to find out if you have geniune information as to whether we or not. The reason i ask is because i have just read a post on Nordfelt (sp?) former Arsenal player, and an Ed said that we are interested. I do realise to keep a "forum" (reason for " - no disrespect, but this is not a forum) is to keep interest, but would a good (or bad) suggestion to be to include a "Ed's rumour page" maybe updated once/twice a month just to inform us of maybe anything you guys have heard, or even believe to be true? If only to cut out the unfounded sh*te some people on this site post, then give you crap for dismissing out of hand, when the majority of us senisble supporters know you're telling it as it is? Fantastic job, by not just only the ed's, but also some of the true supporters on this site, of whose posts i have read and acknowledged. I hope to comment and reply more often and help grow this website into a "forum" (again sorry, im not sure if this is your aim) but into, what could be a successful discussion page. If you need an Ed, im always available to help - just like KK ;-). Jamie {Ed001's Note - the problem has always been time, we spend so much time being asked about the latest flavour of the month to have got rated highly on FIFA that it is difficult to get the time to do anything else.}
