with emre can picking up his 10th yellow card today and now facing a 2 game ban, I would like to see kevin stewart playing in his place, providing he is fit of course, otherwise why extend his contract if he is not going to get game time.

Believable7 Unbelievable5

02 Apr 2016 22:44:09
I thought he was absolute junk today Can. Why on earth he gets picked every game I do not know. This ban will be a blessing IMO.
I thought Stewart was still injured, hope he's back.

MOM today for me was Lovren. I've given him a lot of stick so it's only fair I praise his good performance. He made 1 stupid mistake which cost us a goal, otherwise he was great.

02 Apr 2016 22:57:13
He's injured dude.

03 Apr 2016 00:18:49
Good call on Stewart definitely well worth a start if fit.

03 Apr 2016 00:42:39
He is injured.

03 Apr 2016 01:14:13
Not good call then.

03 Apr 2016 01:19:30
thanks for the info lads, I did say in my original post if fit.

03 Apr 2016 01:47:51
Can has played so many games and for me needs a rest. He played for us last season, followed by a summer with the under 21s, then straight into this season where he's only missed a few games. Imo he's suffering from playing too much and hopefully this ban will give him a rest.

03 Apr 2016 02:05:51
Ron, he may have played badly today, but Can has for me been the most promising thing to come out of this season. He's been slightly inconsistent, but for me one of our best performers this season. Easy to forget he's younger than Stewart, for me a vastly better player too from what has been shown.

03 Apr 2016 04:04:52
I don't think Emre Can is "junk" at all. He has his good days, and bad days, like any other player, but he has been in good form since Klopp came in.

03 Apr 2016 08:24:29
I didn't say he "is" junk I said his performance yesterday "was" junk.
He has been getting worse and worse for about the last 6 games and is obviously suffering yet he just keeps getting picked.
Like the most intelligent Simon, it is another Klopp blind spot IMO.

03 Apr 2016 04:15:29
Not sure what's the Fuss on Can. He is positionally weak. All Spurs got the space to trigger and pick the player were due Can's inability to read the game. Hendeson was covering the backyard of both Can and Milner through out.
10 yellow cards means he was positionally out with a stupid challenge at least 10 times.
Dier and Dembele is miles ahead of Can.

03 Apr 2016 20:46:16
I wander if we will still be having this love in with spurs this time next year. I know what answer i'm going with.

02 Apr 2016 21:04:58
Who would you take from spurs team after that game and who would you replace?

Believable0 Unbelievable7

02 Apr 2016 21:20:39
lloris, alderweireld, vertonghen, rose, eriksen, alli, kane and dembele. Replace everyone apart from: coutinho, sturridge, firmino and can,

02 Apr 2016 21:21:06
Lloris, Alli, Kane, Alderweireld, and Dembele. I would take them all.

02 Apr 2016 21:22:05
Lloris Kane and Dembele

Replacing Mingolet Sturridge and Can.

02 Apr 2016 21:24:15
Lloris, dembelle, Kane.

02 Apr 2016 21:39:17
Lloris for Migs. Alderweireld for Sahko, Alli for Milner. i'd like to have Kane too, but not instead of Sturridge. Dembele has a good season so far, as has Eriksen. They have a solid spine, I hope we can say that next season.

02 Apr 2016 22:21:02
with the way football is, this time next year spurs could be struggling with added expectation and these players mentioned could be out of form. I prefer to concentrate on the players we have and what we can do to improve them, they needed the win more than us today and they failed in that respect.

03 Apr 2016 00:49:06
I think kost glaring will be eriksen with lallana. If klopp underachieve next season, i will not hesitate to wield the axe on him abd replace with pochettino.

03 Apr 2016 04:06:15
I am sure Klopp is shaking in his boots at the thought of you wielding your axe on him Leekuanyew.

03 Apr 2016 08:04:54
None of them.

02 Apr 2016 21:03:15
Crazy first half today, so many mistakes by us but still could have ended up going in ahead at half time.
Not a fan of Sakho but gave him a lot of credit for his best game for us v Man U but today he was absolutely all over the place today especially after first ten mins of first half, the amount of times he gave the ball awayvand was on his arse was embarrassing.
With 15 mi s to go it looked like Tottenham settled for a draw which I can't believe and for that reason I hope Leicester do it. Lovers my MOM today and a mention for Henderson, nothing special but worked hard and made less mistakes than anyone, Clyne first half must have been as bad a 45 mins I've seen from a Liverpool player for a while.
Dembele class by the way.

Believable3 Unbelievable5

02 Apr 2016 21:24:04
Sahko had a stinker of a first half BUT came back strong and had a good second half. Credit to him for fighting back and not letting his head drop. Coutinho was boss. Best player on the pitch and made Walker look the poor FB that he is. Lovren was a rock and literally played CB on his own in the first half. All in all, created enough chances to win and so did Spurs so a draw is fair.

03 Apr 2016 00:19:39
I thought Henderson showed why he is liverpool captain today, so much fight against a good spurs team. really nice goal by coutinho, lovely build up, all said I enjoyed a tight match.

03 Apr 2016 00:51:41
I think the weoght of armband is restricting henderson in foraging forward, he play so safe several times. I like to see te henderson of 13/ 14 season who play with wild abandonment. Hope klopp realise that and give a suitable candidate the armband.

03 Apr 2016 01:15:42
Best players today, cortinio, hendo, loveran.
Thought sakho was awful again.

02 Apr 2016 20:56:15
Milner and sakho looked tired may be due to international. break.

Believable3 Unbelievable4

02 Apr 2016 23:06:02
Tired they looked knackered to be honest.

02 Apr 2016 20:55:25
Please stop the studge hate. ok he missed two chances but dude everyone has bad games. We all know how good a finisher he is.
Btw coutinho was brilliant!

Believable8 Unbelievable2

02 Apr 2016 21:24:32
Coutinho was brilliant for approx 5 seconds as he scored, rest he was average to non-existent today.

02 Apr 2016 21:34:21
Since he's come back he looks like he's holding back. Physically? Mentally? Under orders? Who knows. but he has lost that initial devastating burst of pace. There also seem a lack of desire in running, chasing the ball down, pulling off the shoulder of the last defender etc. It could be that we don't see him back to his best until next season. I don't think we should sell him, but he does need someone up top with him at the moment to make a bit of space. Playing as the line striker is tough enough when you're 100% fit and on form. I just hope he does get back to what he was, as he is still a natural finisher when his confidence is there.

02 Apr 2016 21:56:54
Wasn't annoyed about the two misses but looked uninterested or up for putting a shift or a fight.

May have been instructed to or maybe worried about injury but need everyone pulling in the right direction for it to work.

Like him and is immensely talented but need to see him do a lot more off the ball.

02 Apr 2016 22:09:55
He's geting what Benteke would get and that's fans going over the top .

02 Apr 2016 22:14:00
Studge has looked unintrested since he came back, he is not workin for the team, and plays like he believes he is miles above the rest. I can actually see Klopp getting rid if this continues.

02 Apr 2016 22:15:40
Benteke would get slaughtered for a performance like that so its only fair sturridge does.

02 Apr 2016 23:46:18
Coutinho was brilliant for a lot more than 5 secs.
He was pure class today and worked tirelessly for the team.
Can't understand how anyone could criticise his performance today!

03 Apr 2016 00:27:55
A performance where he setup up our only goal is hardly a terrible one. Wasn't his best game in a red shirt, but he wasn't nearly so bad as some are making out. Sakho in the first half, though, was in fact terrible.

02 Apr 2016 20:43:30
Sturidge isn't getting stuck in enough for me. Just my opinion and I know he's only back for a long layoff. But of he's only on for 60 minutes he should be bursting a gut. Again only my opinion. Good game tonight YNWA.

Believable6 Unbelievable2

02 Apr 2016 20:56:59
Part of me thinks in the back of his mind that he has the fear of injury nagging at him.

02 Apr 2016 21:13:54
Completely agree Imred, it's like he's become scared of pushing himself to 100% in case he gets hurt again.

02 Apr 2016 21:15:33
Part of me thinks in the back of his mind that he has doesn't like the service he's getting. I think he was almost shocked when he got his first clear cut chance and choked. he doesn't seem to be enjoying himself. sturridge has never ran for the sake of running, he's incapable but he does bust a gut to create chances and score goals when he see's he opportunity.

02 Apr 2016 20:31:01
I don't mean this in a disrespectful way but if you can't see what Lallana brings to the team by now, then you can't be watching us that closely. The ground he covers is up there with Hendo, his touch is up there with Couts and I really think he has become a definite starter since the turn of the year.

He does definitely need to add goals to his game, but like for England the other night, he seems to be the assist for the assist if that makes sense.

Not saying he's more important than coutinho or Hendo but under Klopp he's shown a new aggression about his game.

Thought Lovren was outstanding today, the goal you could argue was a touch of class from a very good striker, although he could've done better.

Sturridge is without a doubt the best striker we've got, but does anyone else think we're a better team with coutinho, Firmino and Lallana upfront?

All just my opinion, hope to hear yours.

Up the Reds and onto Dortmund now.

Believable8 Unbelievable7

02 Apr 2016 20:52:30
Was at match and thought lallana played well. His pressing was outstanding and forced an outstanding save from loris! Added to that his close control allows us to keep possession brilliantly and get out of tight spaces. Also made a few good runs that just weren't spotted. You mentioned possibly having firmino ahead of sturridge, our best performance was the front three and lallana contributed to that.

One thing though which i found annoying was Sturridge today. His barely pressed at all which limits the effect the work rate of others can have. Added to that doesn't put pressure or put up a fight when ball is played long to him, just look what a difference origi had because he did this. Has class which he showed with the assist but should score that header or the one on one (though personally thought he should have cut it back to lallana) .

Lovren made a mistake but probably drops countless goals recovering from sakhos obsession with setting up Spurs counters!

Think we have a great framework for our team but Klopp might have to be a bit ruthless with our current squad as have a lot of good players but to win need to find the weakest links and remove them.

02 Apr 2016 20:53:06
Spot on lac.

02 Apr 2016 20:54:28
"coutinho, Firmino and Lallana upfront" it can, but they're all similar type players, some obviously better than others. i think they need pace and power. most teams will be happy defending against them, and they are useless against teams that sit back as we have seen this season. can, hendo, continho, firmino, sturridge, origi would be a fantastic all out attack. not a line up i would start with in most games but would always go for this at the 60 min mark if we needed it.

02 Apr 2016 21:23:44
I can see what he brings but what he doesn't bring is more of a concern i. e. Goals and assists.

02 Apr 2016 21:29:25
Lallana doesn't t score enough goals and always plays as if he is on his own on the pitch. He is too talented to not be scoring as much as Couts and Firmino do. He holds on to the ball too long and never releases it in rhythm, instead makes his Cruyff turns and the chance for a counter is gone. The prob is that when he just plays one touch football, he is lethal like we saw with his assists and goals vs City, Utd and Norwich. He needs to just play that way because with his energy and fitness, he is able to press and run all day.

02 Apr 2016 22:15:17
Only Milner and coutinho has more assists in the team and he made a run who move the CB for the goal today.

02 Apr 2016 23:46:59
Lallana at the moment is playing very, very well when he is in the game but still drifts in and out.
If he could stay in the thick of things for 90 minutes he would be a really quality attacking midfielder. Work rate and natural talent both there.

02 Apr 2016 23:48:24
It's like saying no-one has stopped more shots than Migs.
That's because that's his job in the team.

03 Apr 2016 04:08:04
I think there are better players who can bring more to Liverpool playing where Lallana plays, and I would have no problems selling him.

02 Apr 2016 19:56:23
We had some very good chances today. A clinical striker would have won that match. They had as many chances as us but we had the better ones. I know a lot of people are saying we are bloated with strikers and it's not a priority but for me it certainly is. I've said before that we need a new spine (top quality keeper, centre back, midfielder and striker) . With benteke definitely on his way out and Sturridge out of form and unreliable we need a new top class striker. Origi is clearly a good utility striker can make an impact but very rarely does, still a good option to have. Who knows if ings comes back firing again or just goes on a downward spiral. I guess there should be no knee jerk reactions until the summer assessments have been made but I think we need a better striker than what we have already.

Believable7 Unbelievable9

02 Apr 2016 20:12:03
I would play firminho st his don't everything what Suarez had whan he come to us without the trouble and sign gotze and play lallana gotz coutinho firminho.

02 Apr 2016 20:22:15
we missed firmino today with the chances we had we should have won the game, however our passing was very poor, we will need to keep the ball better than today, when we play on Thursday.

02 Apr 2016 20:38:45
the priority is a new keeper. maybe a left back and a dm. we already have some new players arriving in the summer. we need a good back up who will eventually replace lucas, so dm and keeper for me. But i'm sure we will buy another attacking player just for the sake of it.

02 Apr 2016 21:35:12
GK, LB and wide attacker for me. Gotze's is a luxury for me and he's not better than Couts nor Firmino especially if Lallana is kept. As for DM, we already have one in Matip as he can fill in at DM because he's played a boat load of games for Schalke there. KK is right. Had Firmino played, we would have buried them because he has ice in his veins and never panics hence he hasn't missed a one on one with a GK. These are things Studge is missing right now but hopefully he'll b back. On to Dortmund.

02 Apr 2016 19:31:38
Frustrating game but overall 1-1 not an unfair result. Some good performances and bad. Highlights:

- Lovren defending though arguably at fault for goal (i'd argue it was just a great take from Kane)
- Henderson getting all over the pitch and showing a lot more than he has in recent games, good lad
- Coutinho just producing when its needed
- Was an enjoyable game!

Lowlights:

- Moreno
- Clyne, wasn't happy with him for first goal, too nonchalant already thinking it was gone, needs to stay alert
- Sakho for last 15 mins was good, before that just all over the place
- Milner was woeful
- Lallana again not quite doing enough (though he had a couple of good attempts)
- The ref. Maybe it's just me with my Liverpool specs on but he seemed to favour Spurs with a lot of his calls, in general his decisions were poor. Really low quality ref

That's it. We didn't really learn something new but at the same time we saw glimpses of quality and glimpses of those who will probably be moving on. If we play with that sort of intensity then few teams will be able to match us - Spurs just happen to be one of the few teams who can. Thought Eriksen and Dembele were very good for them and Kane is just a constant menance. They have the makings of a good team. If I were them I'd jib Walker off though, he ain't no better than Clyne (though he is stronger) .

Believable4 Unbelievable6

02 Apr 2016 20:17:50
Lallana was good the run to take the CB away to leave coutinho sums lallana up a true team player . Milner was bad and we don't. need him with hendo in the team there two a like. For me clyne had good game . And the ref was shocking . Lovran had his best game yet. Hendo had he's best game for a long time . Thursday a bigger game and a big test . Ynwa.

02 Apr 2016 20:22:40
Lallana played really well and was MOM according Sky pundits. Don't see how he was a 'lowlight'.
I'm afraid Sturridge needs to contribute a lot more to the team. Just doesn't do enough, and seems to have lost all his speed.
We definately need another striker next season. but I'm sure Kloppo already knows that.
All in all, I thought we played well and could have won the game if we'd taken our chances.

02 Apr 2016 20:54:27
We got Ings coming bck I'm pretty sure kloop would love ings.

02 Apr 2016 21:34:54
Thought Milner wasn't great today. We need someone who can deliver a dangerous ball from a corner. I can't remember the last time scored off a corner.

Phil gets on the score sheet again. Shame his effort near the end just went wide had everyone thinking he's curling it to the right!

Lovren i think has got a lot more confidence back the odd thing still happens where you think just deal with it mate but he looks pretty good and i'm sure he himself will be much happier with how much he's improved.

Sahko didn't have a good game nor did studge but that is football.

I thought we could have nicked it 2-1 but both teams player pretty well. Spurs are in good form so to be even with them now is a good sign of things to come.

02 Apr 2016 21:37:58
The pundits were having a laugh. Coutinho was MOTM, hands down. Best player on the pitch, by far. Spurs had no answer for him all game and could have had two goals and three assists, ALL ON HIS OWN had Studge and Lallana taken their chances.

02 Apr 2016 19:26:59
Could of won that if we had a decent striker.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

02 Apr 2016 20:14:13
could have won that if we weren't afraid to lose, the service sturridge got was nearly none existent. I hate this knee jerk reaction we have. last game we were dangerous, it wasnt far off a perfect team, we were just missing hendo. instead we bring him back. take origi out the team and pop milner in for allen. we could be so much better. i'm sick of these team selections. If we didn't have milner or lallana we would be so much better for it as we would have no other choice but to play our better players. top 4 is now an truly gone.

02 Apr 2016 20:19:42
Sturridge had 2 very very good chances he fluffed both.

02 Apr 2016 20:28:56
top 4 has been long gone for a while now, sturridge had 2 great chances he should have put away, it was a game where you could see where we need to improve, and also shows why we are where we are in the table. I am sure that spurs would be more gutted with this result than we are.

02 Apr 2016 20:36:07
Agreed King, it's not too upsetting for is as it was gone anyway. Good practice for Thursday's game. If we can pull off champions league this year after everything klopp will have a great foundation to bring some players in.

02 Apr 2016 21:39:58
The game showed what we need to move foward as well as what we can achieve as the talent is defo there. We learn from this and on to BVB which is, our biggest game oft the he season for now.

02 Apr 2016 18:21:09
Sakho! Why do the Kopp chant his name? Do some fans just like him as a person because he looks like bambi on ice on the football pitch!

Believable6 Unbelievable9

02 Apr 2016 18:27:24
One moment he does something special, the next his distribution fails! Thank god for Lovren right now, who is playing like a top defender so far - maybe getting back to his best after a few set backs.
Sakho does need to calm down and pass easy, he looks nervous in possession when being met with the pressing style Spurs are playing - he is panicking a bit.

02 Apr 2016 20:32:48
to be fair to him he does receive the ball in some silly places the midfielders need to stop going sideways and backwards and be more forward thinking when they have the ball. I thought lovren was outstanding today and long may that continue.

02 Apr 2016 21:00:34
Any other CB makes one mistake and you guys want his head, Sakho was awful, pure awful and it's everyone else's fault for passing to him in a bad place.

02 Apr 2016 21:42:56
Disagree, Mcgoveb. Sahko had a poor first half, NOT a poor game. He had a solid second half and just did the simple things instead of try to out play everyone, and ended up outplaying himself. He had an average game and that can happen but do not discount the great games he's had of late because that would be dishonest.

02 Apr 2016 17:29:53
Not sure of the team selection tonite.

02 Apr 2016 17:06:10
hi ed's,

i've been loosely following sergi canos for the season and he has really impressed me what are your views on him?

Do you reckon we could see him pushing for a squad place next year or are we going to see another year loan?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - he will be assessed in pre-season I would expect mate.}

Not Liverpool related but where does Rafa go from here? One of the most daft ideas to take the Newcastle job with 10 matches to rescue them.

Rafa being Rafa I guess.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - he can't stay away from footie. He will be back coaching his local school's team if he gets the chop there.....}

02 Apr 2016 17:06:19
We all know he is dying to manage LFC again but it is safe to say that it ain't going to happen.

02 Apr 2016 18:32:52
Wouldn't it be like the football gods that Liverpool sends Rafa down!

02 Apr 2016 21:44:19
Logan, that ship sailed years ago.

02 Apr 2016 16:39:54
Skrtel on the bench, don't know how he's even made the squad.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

02 Apr 2016 16:51:49
Really bizarre. Keeps fooling managers, you think Klopp would see his failings.

02 Apr 2016 17:11:01
At least Skrtel ain't starting.

02 Apr 2016 16:38:00
If Hannover go down, I've read Ron Zieler their gk has a release clause of 3m. Surely worth buying for that fee.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

02 Apr 2016 19:47:51
Buying a goalkeeper from a relegated team seems daft to me.

How good can he be? Can he be a title winning goalkeeper if he's just been relegated?

I don't know.

02 Apr 2016 20:36:22
with better players around him, of course he could, there are 10 outfield players and if they are rubbish, the keeper has no chance, he won't be able to save every shot that comes his way.

02 Apr 2016 21:25:13
It would be good to have a Ron in the team 😎.

03 Apr 2016 10:40:34
Also good to have someone with a 'zed' in his name :)

02 Apr 2016 10:40:43
Question for Ron. I'm not saying I agree or don't, just interested. Why do you hope the rumours are not true.?

Believable0 Unbelievable4

02 Apr 2016 10:57:41
I hate seeing the club bought and sold like a commodity being to make the ultra rich even more wealthy on the back of the hard working fans.
I may be a dreamer living in a different world but some things are too precious to be used like that. I feel the same about an old war hero's medals being sold to pay for his health care.
I also feel that passing around of the club like its a second hand jigsaw is disrespectful and creates more uncertainty and inconsistency. The club needs and deserves a stable future IMO.

02 Apr 2016 11:17:34
Stable future at the bottom of the league yeah Ron? While the rest are having a cash injection at the top?

It's ok through because we are too good for that.

😩.

02 Apr 2016 11:19:23
The eds have said many times that our owners bought to make a profit. Whilst I agree with your premise, it's always gunna happen, that's what football is nowadays. FSG have spent lots of money on players, and we haven't really improved as a club. We are on the road now under klopp, with most people expecting big changes in the summer.

02 Apr 2016 11:33:13
Sorry Hem b, I was talking about LFC.

You must be a Villa fan?

02 Apr 2016 11:39:42
We have moved into a new era of club ownership a long time ago. We are a business now, from what i read several times. This was always the way it was going to end up. It sticks in my throat also that the club is now a money making device for rich owners but what can you do? I don't think the rich owners are making their money entirely of the back of hard working fans tho. Very little infact compared to the other revenue streams such as Tv rights and sponsorship etc.

02 Apr 2016 12:02:30
Who pays for the tv though Irish? The fans and those subscriptions will only increase.

I was asked a direct question, I'm OK if everyone disagrees, it's only my personal opinion.

I would like to know of any other major club who has been increasing turnover, improving on the pitch and has been taken over and it has been a short-term success. Man Utd? Arsenal?
Also, if it is such a great idea then which other major European club has been subject of a successful takeover? Barcelona? Real? Bayern?

I just think it is never this golden goose that everyone expects.

02 Apr 2016 14:27:46
Cheers Ron. For what it's worth I completely agree with your sentiment. But I also worry about being left behind.

02 Apr 2016 14:32:58
Ownership structures are different in Spain and Germany Ron. Perhaps that's why the teams you mention have had so much success!

02 Apr 2016 15:22:33
My concern is it is no longer about just having money thrown around. The rules were changed after other clubs got their big boost and bought their way. Not sure it will work that easily now - so we're still looking at how do you play catch up.

Truth is, we've fell behind. Owners, Stadium, players ect. We're just playing catch up.
Some fans are happy with this mid table squad. They was happy with it at the start of the season. And they're still happy with it now. I'm not. Cash injection is welcome.

Hey lfc fans
My predictions for the next two games are

A draw against Spurs 1-1. I think our goal will be peppered today with lots of saves and last ditch tackles but I think Liverpool can hold out for a draw

As for the Dortmund game I literally can't see anything but a 2-0 or 3-0 home win
As I just think they are a much better team than Liverpool at this stage of the season.
If klopp managed Liverpool from the start of the season I would
Probably say it was an even gsme.

I'm going for a pretty comfortable 3-1 victory today followed by a 0-2 victory in Dortmund.

It must be loads of fun being you, lobster.
We're going to lose 2-0. We're not going out, it might rain.
What do you want a dog for, it'll only die anyway.

Good man Ron. Love the positivity.

02 Apr 2016 11:11:08
It all depends on which team shows up to play on the field. If it's the team that beat ManCity twice, then we can beat both Tottenham and Dortmund. A lot will depend on Klopp's preparing of the team and the talks/ training held during the week. We have no major injury problems to speak of, so anything is possible.

02 Apr 2016 11:16:00
I think the most unrealistic thing lobster said was "our goal will be peppered with lots of saves. ". Have we signed Neuer on loan? 😆.

02 Apr 2016 11:54:11
Ron. Your optimism is very refreshing
I am just going by a feeling that lfc take a few results to warm up. So they had a loss against Southampton then I expect a draw next and then it builds up to Liverpool whopping a team . Then everyone stars saying ohh Liverpool are on for top 4 now. Expectancy goes up. And then they flop just like arsenal

And that's what klopp has to sort out. The sheer lack of inconsistency.

02 Apr 2016 12:15:26
Red lobster is a manutd fan that changes his mind half way through his post to "our" goal.

But I will give my two cents, it will be hard game spurs are going for the title and have strikers on form mixed with hard working players but I think we win 3-2.

The way I see it, we struggle when teams just want to play defensive park the bus football.
If a team comes and wants to play football we can compete with anyone, gives us space to get the ball down and play.

Too many times I have seen us having an average season and we come to a time who has been destroying everyone all season, everyone says how we have no chance blah blah blah. what happens? We give said team a football lesson.
Not saying we will batter any of them but will we be walk overs? I don't think so.

So, there we have it, Benteke's Anfield career consists of 12 Premiership starts and is over in the blink of an eye.

Personally I lay no blame at his door, my four year old grandson could see he would never make a Liverpool player .

A little bit of effort would have been welcome though.

Best wishes, Christian, good luck at your next club.

He lasted longer than Robbie Keane I suppose.

02 Apr 2016 12:07:15
More money wasted tho. I can't think of another club that gets it so wrong as often as ours.

02 Apr 2016 15:24:27
Big question is how many of those involved in deciding on this route are still involved? He was never going to work in the structure Rodgers had and doesn't fit with Klopp either.

02 Apr 2016 21:53:11
BR gets the blame because he and him, was the one who forced the Benteke move over to LFC. And befor anyone tries to blame the TC for this as all the other disingenuous and dishonest fans and pundits have done in the past, BR is in charge of the TC, all transfers and the player personnel. Therefore, BR is gone and I hope the transfer system will be overhauled but first off, the MAIN culprit has been shown the door.

So what really are these stories of a takeover from the Middle East? I posted this on 31st, a good few replies indicated April Fools (fair enough) . It's no longer that today and new stories about this appearing.

How long do these April Fools jokes run for?

As the Eds have said, it's an easy rumour to make up and an impossible one to deny as anyone involved would be bound by an NDA.
It makes no difference to me, but I hope it's not true.

02 Apr 2016 10:54:29
I agree Ron. We have stability, the owners are learning more about the business and we have a great manager as well as increased capacity at Anfield. Things are actually not too bad (the bigger picture) considering we started the season so badly with Rodgers in charge.

02 Apr 2016 11:10:10
There's always a risk when you change owners and there's always upheaval.
The only times I've seen it work out is when a club is literally in turmoil and someone has bought it for a song - Chelsea, Man City, Leicester, Palace - but there are many many more occasions where it has created greater turmoil.

I was just imagining what april fools prank I might try and pull of on this page so I came with the conclusion of posting a video clip on youtube and reveal myself as ed1. A Chinaman with a fake scouse accent, now that would of cause a panic attacks on here! Plus I don't think i'm abke to pull of his raunchy voice that all women go for these days haha.
