Hull is a very dangerous game . this manager has waved a magic wand over them so Liverpool must be really at it from the start! They have a few tricky players such as the polish winger very good actually too and definitely no mugs
So I hope lfc start well and score first to give them a boost.

I have no idea how this game will go.

Will Markovic play against us or is that not possible? I don't know how it works. Your right red, Hull is a tricky game and they won't be rolled over. is it Silva? their manager, has worked wonders since his appointment he may just save them from relegation but who knows. For us tomorrow is a must win. Fingers crossed.

Something that just came to my mind, Ed1 is there any chance of match previews for tomorrow? I know your a busy man, just wondered as not seen one for a while unless somehow I missed it.

Comfortable victory for LFC 😎
Chelsea to drop 5 points over next 2 games 😮.

04 Feb 2017 03:48:35
I believe Markovic won't be able to play thankfully.

04 Feb 2017 09:04:09
Ron, there is no such thing as a comfortable victory before the match has started. Hull kept a clean sheet at old toilet during the week.

04 Feb 2017 09:28:30
We'll see max.

04 Feb 2017 11:52:50
Not saying we cannot win Ron, the three points are there for the taking but as we have seen before, the 'minnows' always seem to get one in ahead of us.

That is why I say, no comfortable wins before matches start. Irrespective of who we play. If Hull got a point during the week then they can do it again.

Thought as much, cheers zimbo. - Hope your right there Ron mate.

No comment 😂.

Cannot believe that there are some who would insist we pay more for Van Dijk than what Chelsea paid to bring back Luiz.

That is why transfer windows have gone tits up for Liverpool, season after season.

Would actually book a ticket to Anfield just in order to slap Klopp if he made such a decision.

What sign the best CB in the league and make are team better.

{Ed001's Note - the best CB in the league? If that had been so it would have been worth it, but he is simply not and would cause as many issues to 'are' team, or even our team, as Lovren did.}

03 Feb 2017 21:47:17
Alderweireld, Koscielny, Vertonghen, Winner, Matip, Bailly, Luiz, Cahill, Mustafi, Gibson, Kompany, Dann, Fonte, Keane, Britos, Williams and even Sakho are all much better than Van Dijk in my opinion.

And that is just off the top of my head!

I am not convinced at all by Van Dijk. He is positionally all over the place. Fast, strong, good passer etc. But not a good defender in my opinion.

03 Feb 2017 21:58:30
If we got Van Dijk it'd be a huge mistake, let's hope he ends up at Utd :-D.

03 Feb 2017 22:33:51
Wimmer dann and britos wow! 😂.

03 Feb 2017 21:26:53
Who is in your opinion the best CB in the prem des and have we shown any interest in yah?

{Ed001's Note - off the top of my head it would be between Bailly, Matip and Aldeirweireld, with the lattee edging it. Spurs wouldn't sell to us.}

04 Feb 2017 01:07:11
I still think he's worth more than David Luiz.

{Ed001's Note - irrelevant what you think, Luiz has proven to be worth more and is better than people give him credit for. Certainly makes less mistakes than Dijk.}

04 Feb 2017 02:50:34
Hes quality in my book, many experts can't be that wrong.

{Ed001's Note - experts? You mean those moron pundits who spout crap? Van Dijk is nothing special as would be shown if he was put under pressure at a big club in a competitive league.}

04 Feb 2017 07:14:07
Funny thing about this is, is that I bet a few years ago Ed oo1 and others were saying the same about Davis Luiz and Koscielny. Give us a break with the "I know best" BS please. VD is clearly a very good footballer and would walk on to our team.

04 Feb 2017 08:14:11
It doesn't matter who you buy if they are not trained and organised properly! Our defence has been shaky for quite some years now and that with numerous changes in personnel on and off field.
This is not a sack the manager post, I just think the last time I felt the defence was strong was with Sami in it!

04 Feb 2017 08:39:27
I just can't forget Luiz in the last World Cup 😄
Granted it was over 2 and a half years ago and he has improved, but he was all over the place.
I'm not claiming Van Dyke is some kind of colossus, just that Luiz is vastly over priced.

{Ed001's Note - that was the system exposing his weaknesses, rather than playing to his strengths, something Saints' system does not do for Van Dijk. Even so, it is a regular occurrence to see him stood 20 yards away from the player he is supposed to be marking after they have scored. It just never gets highlighted on MOTD etc how poor he is defensively because they have a hard on for him and just point out his stupid runs forward, while forgetting that he never bothers to get back and is actually a defender. While Luiz they only ever point out his mistakes, never the regular excellent passes which open up a game etc.}

04 Feb 2017 08:40:59
There are many players that can walk into our team at less the price than Van Dijk and it would be absolutely shocking if LFC are thinking of making Van Dijk one of the most expensive CB's ever including making Van Dijk our most expensive player ever.

If the club is going to spend that much on one player then that player has to be up their with the best in the world. Van Dijk ain't. There is no way Van Dijk is worth any of the figures that have been quoted to purchase him.

Premier League "proven" players have cost the club mega amounts of money, crushed the wage bill and seen the club struggle to move such players on when it does not work out. The club was punished by signing Carroll, especially when he left us. Van Dijk would be the biggest risk this club would ever take and might even cost Klopp his job if it had to go wrong. Throwing money at the problem ultimately saw Rodgers lose his job as he spent big money on our defence only to leave it in the same situation it was when Rodgers first took over. Our defence remains our biggest problem and signing Van Dijk, seeing Southampton laugh all the way to the bank has no guarantees that Liverpool's defensive issues will be resolved.

On a similar note I would massively appreciate it if you could write up a best centre backs in the world article, similar to what you did for the right backs ed001. However I know you're a busy man at the moment!

{Ed001's Note - could you remind me in a couple of weeks when I should hopefully be moved into a new flat and actually be getting back to some degree of normality? I will then be in a position to start work on it.}
