does anyone else have the feeling that Sam Allardyce will get sacked sooner. west ham fans like to see football.

if they lose Jack Collison. then it is disappointing for the club.

If Liverpool can't buy before they sell, which looks increasingly to be the case then we are in a lot of trouble. Who will want Cole, El Zhar, Poulson, Jovanovic, etc. etc. Championship sides just can't afford their wages.

03 Jul 2011 23:22:33
been watchin the copa america games so far and i must say how absolute crap it has been, lack of goals and lack of talent and as for neymar... i wouldn't give £1m for him

03 Jul 2011 23:19:07
Anyone else find the idea of our manager using smokescreens regarding transfers a bit daft? not to mention more than a little bit crude to mess with a young mans head to pretend to the public that they want to sign him when they dont. personally i dont think its the Kings style.

yes of course 'everyone is entitled to an opinion', ok, , agreed. then dont be a hypocrite and knock us if OUR OPINION happens to be that some of you are whingers , moaners who just dont get what it is to believe in the liverpool way and we feel it is important ...vitally important that the voices of the (thanfully majority) optimistic (not unrealistic) and respectful are heard over the ignorant and impatient in a world where sadly the latter are heard more often these days. ynwa

Hi Ed, before the beginning of winter transfer window, we were strongly linked with Real Sociedad's Antoine Griezzman. I remember one of the Eds in response to a question saying that we have a good rapport with them through John Toshack.

Another winger who I would like us to sign is Lee Chung Yung, not only he can play in both wings but also is Asian and proven in EPL.

First of all, do you rate these guys and believe that they can do a good job in our wings? If yes, are they available and how much will each cost? {Ed001's Note - I like both players and I think either or both would be good signings and both would be within reach.}

03 Jul 2011 22:34:43
ed how much we talking for izaguirre less than 10m.would be a great buy.isnt he out injured still?DORSET RED {Ed001's Note - I don't watch Scottish football sorry, I really don't know what he would go for or if he is any good. I remain unconvinced by what Celtic fans have told me though.}

03 Jul 2011 23:06:00
To everyone out there, the reason we always pull out of transfers is because of greedy agents escalating already inflated prices by going public that is not our way, KK feels there is no rush and does not want to be left with players that have no more value or profit in it as this is part of a clubs valuation and share price, and will help us get future investment. We also have the best youth coach on the planet in rodolfo, 6 players in the u17 world cup from this team. They are our future. So seriously we are in safe hands, just thought I would add a little prospective on the mad transfer rumours going around.

Patience everyone we ain't gonna be screwed by unscrupulous agent and greedy clubs and I would rather not buy anyone than do bad business and put the club back in debt again.

Speculation:
Inter Milan are believed to be lining up a bid for Lille star Eden Hazard. The Belgium international is reportedly interesting the likes of Bayern Munich and Chelsea.

Source: Sky Sports {Ed002's Note - Shock, horror.}

03 Jul 2011 23:08:40
Did Lucas play rw for brazil today didn't see any of it just looked at sky's team line up on phone? If so how did he play there? {Ed009's Note - I assume he played as part of a midfield 3.}

03 Jul 2011 22:31:51
I heard a rumour that Kevin Keen was picked because funds are so low we can't afford new jackets Keen will be given one of Kenny's old ones with KK on it

03 Jul 2011 22:28:13
Just watched the Brazil game. i know none of the players covered themselves in glory but i thought Lucas and Ramires played well and did their jobs as best they could, breaking up attacks and feeding the so called play makers. But for all the hype surrounding Ganso he was piss poor. Neymar you can understand being a bit inconsistent at his age , but is that just a one off performance from Ganso. Worst performance i've seen a number 10 play in a Brazil shirt for a long time. Is he a class act or was he just dragged down by a s**te team performance ? Looked w**k from his very first touch of the match and he and slowly got worse and worse, to such an extent were it looked liked he was getting himself marked because he didn't want the ball. Give Lucas an 8 cause he did f*** all wrong Ramires 7 and the rest 5 besides Pato who gets a 6, showed some nice touches but lacked support.We all should be proud of Lucas now, because the mental strength shown from getting pure abuse for 2 years to become an integral part of the Brazil side and much more importantly ours.In my opinion he's just gonna get better and better. Anyone else think that the signing of Keen from West ham could be an astute signing for Liverpool? After all, everyone is questioning why the appointment, yet West ham are arguably one of the most successful club sides when bringing through young home-grown talent who then go on to 'star' at a variety of leading clubs. 9 years at the club at a variety of levels, would be in a good position to know who is who before their prices rocket? Potential perfect fit for NESV transfer policy.

03 Jul 2011 22:09:45
Well will we see some transfer action tomorrow.Maybe or maybe not.My opinion is the only activity for the week will be getting rid of players like n'gog, cole, jovanavic etc.This will be done because then kk and dc will then know exactly what the budget they have is.They won't be going along saying well if we sell player x maybe we can put a bid in for player y.Kk from tomorrow will be concentrating mostly on transfers while clarke and keen oversee the start off pre season.

03 Jul 2011 22:05:38
Izzaguire would b a gr8 signing 4 our club. He has been my no1 choice 4 left back. I knew we had scouted him but until now gone no further. Even at 11m would snap hoops hands off. Wots ur thoughts on him Ed's?

Jimbob {Ed009's Note - he is a top, top left back. The best player in the SPL by a long way.}

03 Jul 2011 22:00:31
Ed i know we apperently rejected sturridge in jan, but surely if we are now interwsted in him now he wouldnt be 1st choice and therefore not willing to swap chelseas bench for ours? {Ed009's Note - but there is a difference from Chelsea's reserves, where he never even gets a substitute appearance, and being a member of our squad who starts every few games.}

03 Jul 2011 21:47:28
To be honest i have never heard of this keen bloke but why dont people just give him a chance. All the people criticising him if he.does well yur be the first to mention that you said he would do well all along. Give people a chance. Ynwa.

03 Jul 2011 21:47:12
I was just watching the Brazil match on Dave, why don't we have a look at this Pele chap? He seems pretty tasty

03 Jul 2011 21:42:51
ed do you think we should give a shout at mattew upson as his been released by west ham? he would be a free and nice cover as well as being english and at a average age. Or give a season to cannavaro as he is still world class and could give experience. even nigel reo-corka if i spelt it correct is a good shout at making our squad a good side. and all these players are released? even gudjohnson would be better cover for upfront as back-up {Ed009's Note - Upson is a very poor player. Interestingly so are Reo-Coker and Gudjohnsen (these days anyway). There is a pattern which emerges with free agents - they are usually not handed new contracts for a reason.}

03 Jul 2011 21:42:18
How is lucas playing today anybody know? Ed? -Mc

03 Jul 2011 21:39:04
Ed, what do you think of Oscar Cardoza as a 3rd choice striker? {Ed009's Note - I think he is a good striker but he is approaching 30 now and so is probably too old and too expensive to be considered.}

03 Jul 2011 21:09:05
Dear Ed's,

You need to put an 'Agree with Ed' button on the page, as I very often find myself agreeing with the Editors comments and and not the actual post. {Ed002's Note - They'll murder us then!}

03 Jul 2011 21:04:42
please post in rumours
ed you say we aint signing sakho because of the price which is around 20million but we were willing to pay 22 for phil jones before he joined scum. so why cant we pay the money for sakho {Ed002's Note - I said Liverpool walked away when they found out about the price. The club will have a value in mind for each player not for each position. Would you pay £22M for Downing because that is what Mata would cost?}

no i wouldnt because mata is much better than downing but sakho is better than phil jones so why are we not moving for sakho

{Ed002's Note - So take it up with Dalglish and Comolli.}

03 Jul 2011 20:57:37
The reason Kevin Keen has been appointed is because he coaches the pass and move system which is the system all us true LFC fans know King Kenny loves and bases his teams on.

03 Jul 2011 20:08:20
Hey eds, whats your opinion on our new coach Kevin Keen is it a good appointment?

Cheers, JD {Ed002's Note - It would be subjective to second guess whether he will or not. He should get a chance though.}

03 Jul 2011 20:46:50
This is not a rumour, but why do you think we are trying to buy such average players at extortionate prices when a few of the kids have not been tried like Amoo, Ince, Pacheco etc?. And why do we need center backs when Ayala, Kelly, and Wilson are all excellent back ups. Personally it would be better to buy a couple of excellent players and trust some of the younger players can make the step up. For me anyway the need for decent wingers who can dribble should be the priority, seeing how we haven't had any for years which has contibuted to our sterile attack. Personally I'd like players of the calibre of these : Antoine Griezmann, Adam Johnson, Arda Turan, Marko Marin, Eden Hazard and if thats not possible we should keep the money in our pocket. What do you think?
Ps: If we buy players like Downing or Milner then I will cry they are no more than ok in my opinion and will hinder the development of the youngsters. Thoughts?

03 Jul 2011 20:41:36
I would like to welcome Keven Keen to LFC, I think he will form a fantastic partnership with KK, SC and all the backroom staff and help form the best team in the land for years to come.

Those who choose to knock his appointment, do you know more about football than KK and what qualities are needed to make a good coach? No you don't , no quit whinging and get behind your team

Also Eds, why didnt you put my prediction post for next season up, that took a lot of time to devise lol

03 Jul 2011 20:46:43
Hi ed the say source that gave me the Sturridge info has just told me we turned him down because KK didn't think he was good enough apparently.

03 Jul 2011 20:37:59
Why are so many pool supporters so impatient? Kk did so well with what we have and also brought 2 good/possibly great strikers in jan. All his signing so far have been v good so why so people continuously bitch

03 Jul 2011 20:32:15
what do u think of downing on right and mata on left? {Ed009's Note - I think if we had those two players as wingers we would have done very well this window.}

03 Jul 2011 20:13:11
Seriously, are people going to have a go at a newly appointed coach? why don't you tell us who in you infinite wisdom would of preferred.

Now for all the many many transfer rumours, yesterday i had a look on the BBC teletext and i have never seen the words might, could and may used so much in my life. The papers will say anything to sell a story, I wonder if they just pick the names of players out of a hat and then the clubs, then decide that's where the player is going.

I personally even with all the negativity cant wait for the start of next season, we have supportive owners who are looking to return the club to its former glories, a good squad of player which will only improve over the summer. and not forgetting the best possible manager at the club Kenny Dalglish, for me they can keep the Jose Mourinho's of the world there's only one man for Liverpool Football Club and that is King Kenny.

always a red

03 Jul 2011 20:00:22
hi there- any word on Ryad Boudebouz? i think we need some creative midfielders. what do other people think? we wont win the league with the midfielders we have at moment

03 Jul 2011 19:54:20
Hi eds, was just wondering... if we cannot sell the deadwood ie, cole, jovanovic, aquilani etc, are the club prepared to release them? Was just thinking that before FFP comes in they can take that hit. Your thoughts would be greatly recieved.

Chichester Red {Ed002's Note - It would be nothing to do with FFP, it is to do with a significant financial hit. Without checking details, It would cost perhaps £30M in total to release the three of them.}

03 Jul 2011 19:48:47
I am amazed that people are berating Keen already, and he has not even started his role yet, Get a grip people please. Ross

Kevin keen first team coach wtf kenny
******************************
Great signing Our backroom staff are a force to be reckoned with now

03 Jul 2011 19:25:22
Are people going to moan about everyone Kenny signs
first Jordan Henderson and now new first team coach kevin keen.

Give them a chance for F**ks sake and maybe they will prove you wrong.

Kevin Keen is first team coach that doesn't mean he picks the team he just coaches them, i'm sure hes someone Kenny Knows and respects and has decided some new blood Like Clarke is what the club needed with fresh training ideas.

If your not happy pick another team to support and stay off this site, you really are getting on my nerves.

I for one believe that this year is going to be one to enjoy, I'm not saying we will win the league but i am sure we will give a good account for ourselves and hopefully pick up some silverware and have a good shout for fourth spot.

I just want to see us play good attacking football and men in the box like we finished last season.

Cheers Grimsby Red

03 Jul 2011 19:17:58
So its reported kevin keen has been appointed 1st team coach and already people are complaining.He has worked with steve clarke at west ham so obviously he has faith in him and no doubt has discussed it in length with kk.The negativity is just boring now.(RD.RED)

03 Jul 2011 19:13:21
Kevin Keen appointed as First team coach, ..Eds, ..know much about him please? Any good? Cheers YNWA {Ed002's Note - He was a decidedly average footballer who has become a well known, well liked and respected coach.}

03 Jul 2011 19:09:48
King kenny wants to sort his staff out before moving for players he wants.

03 Jul 2011 19:07:30
of all the coaches in the world we go for kevin keen what a joke

03 Jul 2011 19:01:16
I don't understand the rush of some fans. Surely it is better that we get the targets that we want, never-mind how long it takes. The window is still open for many weeks yet, the other top clubs are still to make any major movements less the scum. I think that we at least owe Kenny and the owners till the end of the window before we jump to any conclusions.
I feel this year and possibly next we are in a transition/rebuilding phase, so getting the right targets for the future is key. I cant believe anybody thinks we should be changeling for the league this year do they?

10 famous LFC fans:

10. Caroline Wozniacki

The women's world No.1 tennis star kept a promise to thousands of her Twitter followers earlier this year by proudly wearing her signed Steven Gerrard Liverpool shirt on court. "Got so many comments about the Liverpool jersey and to step out on court with it... So why not, " she tweeted afterwards.

9. Angelina Jolie

Former wife of actor, musician and LFC fan, Billy Bob Thornton, the actress has continued to follow the Reds despite their separation. Her son Maddox is a huge Liverpool fan and 'only wants to play for Liverpool'. Thornton's passion for the club stems from his love for the city. "I love that town, they're my kind of people, " he says.

8. Mark Owen

The Take That singer is a big Liverpool fan and has stated that he'd love to perform at Anfield with the band during one of their huge tours. He often requests to tour Liverpool only for his tour manager to claim the stadium isn't big enough.

7. Kim Cattrall

The English actress famous for her role in 'Sex and the City' was born in Liverpool before emigrating to Canada three months later. The actress, who was a guest of Steven Gerrard against Chelsea last season, revealed in an interview that the Reds captain is quite the theatre buff and had been to see one of her recent plays.

6. Dr Dre

The American rapper and record producer started following the Reds whilst on a promotional tour in London back in 1988. He was watching TV when these 'cool cats in red came on the box'. Dre cites John Barnes as his favourite player but referred to Patrik Berger as 'the bomb' in an interview in 2000.

5. Mike Myers

The Austin Powers star, who was born in Canada in 1963, is a life-long Liverpool fan. He grew up in Toronto, but his parents both originated from the Old Swan area of Liverpool. "I was the only kid in Toronto to wear an olive-green Nehru jacket and support Liverpool FC, " he told LFCToronto.com

4. Daniel Craig

Born in Chester but raised on Merseyside, the James Bond actor is a big Liverpool fan. He idolises captain Steven Gerrard and before one game, the skipper waited for Craig in the Liverpool foyer wanting his photograph taken with 'Mr Bond'.

3. LeBron James

The world famous American basketball player became a minority stakeholder in the club after he struck a deal with Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group earlier this year. He later went on to show his new-found love for the Reds by wearing a Liverpool polo shirt in one of his post-match press conferences following an NBA game back in the US, as well as Tweeting his delight at the news Kenny Dalglish had signed a permanent three-year deal at Anfield in May.

2. Samuel L. Jackson

The American actor began following the Reds after he starred in cult movie 'The 51st State', which was filmed in Liverpool. Jackson even went to Anfield to watch a Merseyside derby clash against Everton. He recalls: "I went to see the derby game when I was there, against Everton. That was cool. I enjoyed that."

1. Nelson Mandela

During his time as South African President, Mandela met the Liverpool squad during the Reds' tour of Africa back in 1994. Presented with a Liverpool shirt by John Barnes, he later told the winger in an interview that he was a fan of the club.

Not a rumour but I read in the Sunday Telegraph the eleven players that Premier league clubs want rid of.
The story says we want rid of milan jovanovic because he is on £120,000 a week, (I seem to think that when he joined last season the stories had him on £65,000 a week)
can the eds confirm if they know if this is true because if it is then the previous management team were truely BAD
and as supporters we've been let down {Ed002's Note - His weekly wage includes a significant element of signing on fee spread across his contract - like Joe Cole. I cannot confirm that actual figures.}

03 Jul 2011 18:12:52
Liverpool to sign Maria from Madeira who looks like Alan Shearer in the next 48 hours.

03 Jul 2011 17:54:53
Izaguirre is the man I want at left back. More athletic than Enrique, and more capable of tracking back. Any thoughts?

Please post on rumour site Mr Editors.

Could all real LFC fans on here read the following excellent article called...
Journalism or J.K.Rowling?
Feature by Kieran Davies
it is on lfconline.com

then wants read and understood can we please stop writing bullsh$t on here. Those who persist with the outrageous bs will obviously expose themselves as not being genuine LFC fans.
Thank you.

03 Jul 2011 17:16:39
Hi eds, first time posting on here, firstly can I just say what a great and very addictive site you have.

I have been reading all the posts on here and in my opinion I think we have already tied up deals for a few players and the theory that they will all be announced at once may just be true. We have a last minute friendly will Valencia announced and recently Hull have arranged one with us to, I do think these are tied to deals for both Mata and Cairney and that they have been asked to deny any knowledge for now until we get the rest of our targets (so prices don't get inflated because we are spending money). Obviously this is just my view but do you think that this is possible or would the info have been leaked?

The Observer {Ed009's Note - As far as I am aware the friendly has been arranged for some time already; I do think that it is theoretically possible deals have been agreed in principle, and under Kenny they could well be kept secret.}

Hi ed do you think we will see a development in transfer movement next week and do you expect the Adam saga to be solved anytime soon.
Thanks
Greg
YNWA. {Ed002's Note - It is impossible tguess at timescales but I suspect we will soon see a movement in the market for Liverpool.}

03 Jul 2011 17:02:08
Hopefully Arsenal will steal Downing from us, so we can focus on someone better...

03 Jul 2011 16:56:57
I follow my home town team Dundee United home and away, but I love Liverpool from up here in Scotland, I have seen the Reds linked with our goalscorer David Goodwillie.
Personally, this guy will, one day, play for one of the top Premiership teams and it would be fantastic if Kenny brought him to Anfield now. Hes just as promising as Wickham, possibly more talented, who knows and is available for £2m plus.
Im led to believe Liverpool tried to buy him from us when he was just 16. Despite being just 22, hes been in the first team squad for 6 years.
Would be briliant if Goodie could be signed as back up to Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez.

03 Jul 2011 16:41:58
I think that we will make a move for Emilio Izaguirre because Man City are getting Gael Clichy and Izaguirre is younger and better going forward his Crosses are insane and Carroll will score a lot from the crosses. Although the SPL is a crap league it is still better than the Championship and that is were Carroll was playing last season.

"It's still very early and I didn't expect too much to happen on the transfer front before now, " he told the Liverpool Echo.
"Over the summer players, managers, chief executives and owners are all away on holiday.
"It's only the start of July and with pre-season getting going next week I'm sure things will soon start moving.
"You often find that one deal sets it off and everything happens from there.
"I'm sure it will kick off over the next few weeks and hopefully we'll get a couple more new faces in.
"The club now has a policy of focusing attention on young players and I think that's the right way for clubs to go.
"You want to develop a team and have players at the club for a long time. I think that approach will really benefit us.
"Things don't always work out, but it's much easier to move on a younger player who still has a decent sell-on value than someone in their 30s."

Eds, sorry to have to reply to posts this way but no matter what i've tried it wont let me use the normal reply on my phone. Its re the recent James Milner post. I think its more a question of why we'd want him, rather then we'd be challenging City for 4th and City not looking to sell to a rival. K.K has said that we'd be looking to buy players who'd strengthen the team/squad. With the plethora of midfielder's already at the club i'd think he would be an utter waste of money if he signed. Weather City would sell him to us, thats their choice.My own feeling is i hope they stick to him like glue. He's no way gonna improve our midfield in any way shape or form. Jonson6 {Ed009's Note - I agree thats what I'm saying, he's neither a winger, nor a good enough centre midfield to improve on what we have.}

Players we are rumoured to be buying
Milner - very unlikely that city will let him leave
Adam Johnson - possible given that Mancini has been critical of him and he fits the bill - young british with premier experience
Mata - possible but probably going to be a battle for him if he does decide to leave (which I think he may not)
Aguero - more chance of King Kenny pulling the boots back on
Moussa Sissoko - good chance if we in fact interested as rumours suggest - good player
Adam - depends entirely on the Blackpool chairman and his willingness to expose himself to having to spend the money he gets in
Downing - I believe we'll meet the Villa valuation if we miss other targets
Turan/Bojan/Jeffren - all potentially too lightweight for the premier league
Sakho - PSG are on a re-build and it would take real desire from the player to force a move - which there isn't
Zapata - possible if in fact we are interested but I suspect not
Aly Cissokho - Lyon won't let him leave unless they get a silly offer and the player is happy there
Hazard - more chance of Aguero

Expect signings but forget the paper talk. LFC are doing business the professional way.

Far too much negativity here for my liking...1st of all, most, if not all the transfer targets which have been suggested (only suggested - unconfirmed I may add), have at some stage or another been questioned by many a 'supposed red' on here.
Adam would be a good signing for us, would be rotated well with gerrard and thus providing us with a few more years for our talismanic captain. Mata, as most would agree would be a great signing, I do feel however we probably will miss out due to lack of european football being offered...which brings me to the rest..
Downing - most on here have moaned saying he isnt good enough, I agree, yet all are now moaning we could miss out on top target
Young - missed out on top target
Jones - missed out on top target
Marveaux - missed out on top target
Clichy - appear to have missed out on top target

Red's fans - my view is that KK and DC have conducted many of their dealings already prior to U21 tourny and Copa America, the rumours have been just that..rumours, if we are to beleive we are back to the 'Liverpool way' most of these never were, nor will be targets, and have been leaked as smokescreen, to nulify any potential bids on real targets. ie; A Johnson, Baines, etc
Eds - What do you think, is it possible KK/DC have instigated this smokescreen.

We will definately see some class British based players infused with few foreign youngsters also I reckon - what do you all think?

Hi Ed's
Could you tell me whether the following players are injury prone or not;

Cristian Zapata?
Jeffren Suarez?
Scott Dann?
Jose Enrique?
Juan Mata?

Regards,
Jack the lad {Ed002's Note - Dann is injured at present but that does not make him injury prone. As far as I know, none of teh others are.}

Eds,
As there are more and more 'disillusioned' fans on this site criticising Dalglish, Comolli, FSG, Benitez, in fact everything about the club, can you create a page just for them.
May I suggest calling it the 'glory hunting, delusional, know nothing about football, sad, disrespectful and annoying fans' page.

Just a thought

Great site Draining my batterry on my blackberry all the time Guys with or with out new signings this summer I'm sure we'll reach the top four next season. I think what is key to us signing new big players is the new kit deal with warrior. How many people will buy a new shirt with messi, mata, alonso on it when we are all aware that the new strip is out next year. Expect a sh** load of new signings next year The kit sales are going to go through the roof. Top four next year lads. Relax

We may not be strengthening our squad in the transfer market at the speed at which a lot of fans would like, but it could be a whole lot worse... We could be experiencing what Arsenal currently are and losing 2 key players in Fabregas and Nasri, and weakening our squad.

Liverpools best recruit this season will be a fully fit Steven Gerrard. Having him back in the team will be a better addition than any of the names mentioned on this site. If we get Adam it will provide him with support and allow us to manage his game time better, hopefully extending his career for another 3 or 4 seasons.

I for one wouldnt lump Insua in with all the players we need to get rid of. I admit i dont know how he has performed since hes gone out on loan , but i think he was generally harshly judged when he was thrust into the first team under Rafa due to injuries, while he was raw and atill developing. Despite that and some downright bad defending, he looked strong going forward and provided plenty of assists ( statistically proven). Maybe someone can shed some light on whether he has upped the defensive side to his game? and unless he's on stupid wages (?) he could be a very good squad player.

BREAKING NEWS: My in the know has told me some news that I think every one on this site will be horrified at. Liverpool's talismanic midfield Christian POULSEN is set for a shock depature from the club with Barcelona offering a whopping 50m for the player obviously Liverpool are keen to keep the star player so no they are holding out for messi in exchange with 30m this too has shocked the Footballing world as Liverpool will be trading in one of their best players for such an untried and untested player I don't know what you will make of this disturbing news ed's.

Just like to say the only Quote from Kenny on transfers has been " Young with Premeir League experience" and yet still loads of posters totally ignoring that statement and deciding in there own head who we should sign.
But there not Kenny and their head is not on the block if all goes wrong.
So listen to what he's says you'll find it make sense.
We have to hit the ground running and start off the season really well and not be playing catch up through waiting for Johnny Foreigner to settle in.
It's now or never for us Thank God Kenny is back because he'll put LFC back where we belong not with a 5yr plan but now

basically we spent 50+ m in jan of the torres money on carrol n suarez n it raised expectations, truth is those americans saved us from the other american pricks, they spent 300m already in doing so, that benitez clown bought terrible n were still suffering, the americans are stabilizing us n trying to spend wisely, its all totally obvious we dont have lots of cash, just accept it

It is quite clear that most people are frustrated with regards to our transfer situation this season.

Calm down to a panic eveyone. We will sign more players before the window closes, there is no doubt about it. We will also see some players leave to make some room.

We have to finish in the top 4 so we have no choice but to add the quality needed to get back into the CL next season. The squad we have now has proven to be to inconsistant and has failed to finish in the top 4 over the last two seasons and needs to be rid of the players who are not needed and proper quality added. Dalglish is not blind, he has seen that we need to add quality players in order to get us back into the CL. KD has it alll under control.

Players like Degen, Insua, Poulsen, Konchesky, Ngog, Maxi, Cole, Jova, Soto, El Zhar and Aquilani ect are not needed at Anfield. It would make sense to get rid of players who are not needed first before we sign our targets. I reckon we will see about 5 new signings. LB, CB, LW, RW and one midfield Playmaker. Nobody will know which players arrive until the deal is signed sealed and delivered.

Keep the faith, new signings will arrive before the window closes. YNWA

according to wikipedia, daniel sturridge has signed for us.....hahahahahh gotta love wiki, most reliable source ever. all jokes aside ed, is there a possibility of signing sturridge?? hes young and english and can score goals {Ed001's Note - nope, Chelsea are not looking to sell, he is far too full of himself to want to join us on the wages we would pay him anyway.}

So arsenal are in for downing, what the f**k is going on.If they get him then it is quite clear we have no pull in the transfer market.What is commoli at he is too slow whats he waiting for bargains at the end of the window is it.Our history with bargains is not good.Just hope we get a top ten finish this season thats all we can hope for really.We are going to be the joke of the premier league.

Not transfer rated but when Warrior takes over from adidas will LFC be able to "open" merchandise shops in asia as opposed to present situation where we are controlled by adidas. Would this generate even more funds on top of the mentioned "25 mill" from Warior to take over from adidas. This would only leave Chelsea as the last adidas sponsor in the prem ?? general question
Jim22 {Ed002's Note - The Warrior kit deal will mean an additional £12.5M a year for the club as a starting point. The money from shirt sales primarily goes to the manufacturer of course, but Liverpool will be looking to market themselves around the world. Manchester United found one of the major problems in Asia and the Far East was the amount of counterfeit goods on sale at much lower prices.}

03 Jul 2011 10:55:47
a quote from KK "We are obviously trying to bring people in and people are trying to take players from us" this is proof other teams are robbing our targets. {Ed002's Note - You don't think he meant enquiries are being made for existing Liverpool players then?}

03 Jul 2011 10:34:21
{Ed002's Note - So another person who would rather I would lie then. Rumours are increasing that Liverpool have an interest in bidding for Theo Walcott with Comolli putting together a package that will see £12M in cash change hands with Jonjo Shelvey making a move in the opposite direction. Walcott, a life long Liverpool fan, was quoted by KopTalk as saying "I am overjoyed at the prospect of playing with Joey Barton but my dream is to one day play for Barcelona." 8/10.}

Morning Eds

Once again fair play for your patience with some of the posts, you must feel like pulling your hair out.
I have no source i have no rumour but i have a question to all these negative posters and that is, how do you know that we are missing out on targets and losing players? As KK has said many a time nothing will be said until we sign a player In KK we Trust

Ed, what are the chances that Delusional fans will shut up about unrealistic transfers? {Ed002's Note - I really don't mind being asked, but folks need to understand that there is little point in asking about players that there is not even rumoured interest in. Occasionally I may bleat back somewhat but that makes me feel better given the editorial abuse that comes our way. I always have the short-term and long-term ban buttons I can press as well. If Liverpool do get an interest in Walcott at some point then fine, but right now Downing and Adam are top of the list, rumours abound that Milner is another target which surprises me, and we have yet to return to the Mata, Arda etc scenarios. Arda would be an ideal target given he is going to leave Galatasaray this summer, the likely move to Atletico Madrid seems to be less likely now, and he has been offered to other clubs - notably Chelsea and Juventus. So for me, there is much more mileage in giving thought to him than to a player the club have yet to be linked to in any way. Tomorrow will maybe see the return of discussion about Enrique to Liverpool and Arsenal potentially being interested in the player as well. Again, we will see.}

03 Jul 2011 10:03:10
just seen a guy secreted by a blanket outside Anfield, recent signing?our next star Striker?or he could of just been a homeless guy {Ed002's Note - If he was really short I am certain it was Theo Walcott.}

03 Jul 2011 09:31:41
With all the frustrating talk regarding missing out on this target and that target I have read with interest that Arsenal are going to pursue a deal for Downing. Also Glichy is going to Man City and the deal for Adam is dead in the water. I do not even know now who we are after. If targets fail to arrive how does this leave DC's role it doesn't I think

Eds do you think we are going to give our up and coming youngsters a lot off game time this season ?One youngster who should get playing is jesus saez.Before we signed him real and barca were after him but he chose liverpool.I know you will say he is to young but at eighteen in november thats surely old enough.Maybe the silence coming out of anfield is because dalglish thinks he has the talent already at his disposal, but i would like to see him sign mata, dann and a solid left full(not over priced).Sell the deadwood and push for a top four finish.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Kenny has made it very clear that he thinks he has the talent at his disposal for a very strong team, but not just yet, Kenny is too smart to pile too much pressure on these youngsters, he knows we need a full squad first, then to have these lads play bits and pieces throughout the season, it's be insane to rely on the youngsters as it would be way too much pressure at a stage of their career where pressure should be the last thing they learn to deal with.
Don't worry too much about KK though, if these young chaps are good enough, then they will be made a part of the team when they are considered ready, i'm as anxious as anyone to see Suso given a run, i think's he's the most promising prospect i've seen, he's in the ronaldo, kaka, figo and totti type of class for this time in his career, and if he's dealt with properly, he will be as good as these fellas, but if he's not... well he'll be lost to football forever. So give it time, and i'm sure Kenny will do the right thing.

My fellow redmen do not be suprised if you see romelu lukaku end up at anfield this summer, i believe we are puttin up a reasonable package 2 bring in the talented young man, a fee in the region of about 13.5-15 million pounds will be the first bid and if all comes to worst we might throw in one of our fringe players chris mavinga or emilliano insua to sweeten the deal wee bit.I am not at liberty to reveal my source but this is the same source that tipped me about the carroll transfer a day before announcement.Please do not be disheartened by the lack of transfer activity thus far, we are in for an interesting summer with about 4-5 new faces still coming.Expect the adam transfer saga to continue for some time just as the downing situation as the club are experiencing a lack of compromise on the part of the other clubs.If all our priority left mid targets fail we might make a bid for matt jarvis.Thats as much as i acn disclose thanx YNWA

I've already said it and no paper or any other site has picked up on it, our left back will be Benoit Tremoulanis, this is the Liverpool way of transfer dealing's, everyone will be surprised except me and my, erm, "Contact's" (I hate that word) also Raul Meireles will not be sold, do you really think Mr Dependable would be sold after last season, Aquilani will be not be sold either, Meireles and Aquaman will be the two attackin mids for next season, rotation will be a big part of next year with the two interchanging, we are looking for strength and depth. The back up striker will be Nolan Roux, DC reallly has a boner for this guy. Juan Mata, I would love him to come, and there has been interest and contact, but for some reason I can see us losing out.

You negative, moaning, bitching bunch of a***holes are actually the fan equivalent of Hicks & Gillett and you know what? You are equally despised by all us genuine supporters. You are not wanted, you are not needed and you certainly are not a fan of this club From now on sign your posts as Tom Hicks. You will be treated as him from now on. Bob the

Agreed. No more bitching people. No more moaning about ngog, poulsen aquaman, konchesky. These are liverpool players the same as gerrard and just like gerrard we shouls support the quality they bring to the team. If its part of lfc its part of us. I don't want to hear anyone whinge about any of our players anymore, and no matter how badly they do or if we feel they aren't good enough we back them anyway and sing their praises with true unjudging faith.

bit of diffrence of opinion over the stadium as dalglish and most fans want anfield upgraded but henry and warner wanting the new stadium . the new ground would generate at least 100million for the naming rights and that would bring the cost of both not far of each other but the new ground would generate alot more money on match days so expect the owners to get what they want.

What has happened to British sportsmen? David Haye behaves disgracefully in the lead up to his fight showing a lack of respect to his opponent and his sport, gets a boxing lesson then blames it on a bad toe Is that number 43 in the great "British book of sporting excuses"? from which other lame excuses have been used by our tennis players, footballers, cricketers and most other sportsmen from these isles in recent years. True British sporting legends from bygone times would never feel the need to bleat and moan like their modern counterparts and would not only have, and show, respect for their opponents but also for themselves

The Time Traveller...

The reason why there ios no movement is that we need to get rid of 11 s**te players costing us a staggering 30 million a year in wages....Mr Henry I am sure will no doubt back the club but we need to off load these blood suckers first...we all know who they are...
We will prob take a loss on alot of them even some will have to go on a free cause wages are so high...but when we see a couple players leave we will seee swift action to replace them same as Torres for Luis and Andy...please bear this in mind people and stop with the football fantasy WE MUST BALANCE THE BOOKS... hi lads the pool need to get back playin good attack minded football which we have not had since Roy Evens now i know we could not spell defend at the time but a lot of this was thanks to clamity James we were a joy to watch score 3 leak 4.KK has always played this type of football but with sucess inc blackburn not too mention us from mid 80s to early 90s and its the way forward now more than ever.Teams all need to stay at the top table so from about 7th down try to defend and under Houllier and Rafa we could not get the points from bottom 10 clubs or so;should have won league 2 seasons ago only for number of draws against bottom 7 or 8 clubs .I would like to add that David James drove me nuts which is why Pepe stayin could be best move this club since made since someone said lets give Bill Shankly the job lol.
