Ed002, if you are around, I was reading some posts courtesy of the search engine and Ed001 mentioned that FSG employ people to monitor sites such as these, my question is, to what benefit is that? Too see who leaks the info from inside or something? Appreciated.

Believable1 Unbelievable11

{Ed002's Note - No, there is a company in Hartford that gathers perception data from social media, the press, sites like this etc..}

03 Sep 2016 22:45:54
So take it they want to monitor the general mood of the supporters? If so they definitley have some negative reports coming back!

03 Sep 2016 23:52:10
When has it ever been positive after a transfer window here?

04 Sep 2016 00:04:01
How can I get a job there, I can get paid for looking at LFC sites all day? Any inside knowledge/ help would be appreciated! Please email me all details :) Thanks.

{Ed007's Note - You need to submit sworn submissions from 2 different doctors that your shoe size is higher than your IQ and sign a contract saying that you won't have any sexual relations whilst doing the job - the second one is really just part and parcel of doing the job, it's not really a choice.}

04 Sep 2016 06:51:55
Aparently the club have been monitoring this site for a while and have been tryinging to perswade harry to become the next dof.
They are also looking at waro to replace moreno as lb.

04 Sep 2016 07:48:54
It's standard practice for any large organisation in the public eye. Hardly a surprise.

04 Sep 2016 08:21:48
Sandon what is the point in that? Those two swaps are too like for like.
It's like United swapping Rooney for a pie eating, beer drinking fan from the stands, that was good at football when he was a kid but now only gets off the couch to go to the football.
😉.

04 Sep 2016 08:50:33
How have you already gotten wind of this Sandon? Things are delicately balanced in the wage negotiation stage!

I've asked for full control of team affairs as clearly klopp isn't up to it, my vision being ings in goal origi centre back Mingolet centre mid klavan up top on his own, and there's your spine the rest takes care of itself. I'm awaiting there response but I think they'll see sense.

04 Sep 2016 10:34:22
Don't forget Milner up front Waro, his lightening pace will really trouble the opposition.

03 Sep 2016 21:36:49
Klopp told us that we need to turn from doubters to believers. My question to you all, to discuss, is where does the line cross between a believer and a dreamer?

Believable3 Unbelievable15

03 Sep 2016 22:12:25
When you fall asleep?

03 Sep 2016 22:19:33
Consistency.

03 Sep 2016 22:23:34
Think he meant more along the lines of getting behind the team and believing in the team rather than doubting the players, because let's be honest, we all do all the time.

03 Sep 2016 23:53:10
I think results make you believe. Look at fergie at United, he installed such belief In the players, that the fans followed. That gave birth to fergie time, the fans and players always believed they could get a winner or equaliser, didn't panic, and fair play to them, did it as often as they didn't.

04 Sep 2016 09:36:59
"Thinking is easy, action is difficult, and to put one's thoughts into action is the hardest thing of all" - von Goethe

Give Klopp credit, he's had great success at the 2 previous clubs he's managed. Some may comment that his tactics have been 'found out' but many coaches never have the success in the first place to be 'found out'. We need to believe and have patience: this is not a 5 minute project and he hasn't had even one season yet. I feel we need to see evidence of improvement over the next 3 months against teams like Burnley.

Finally we need dreamers who dare to take action: progress depends on it. Liverpool has spawned it'seems fair share of them!

04 Sep 2016 13:15:33
Cheer up DaRedMan, oh what can it mean.

Apparently the line is crossed when you 'see her face'

In my opinion the 2 are not mutually exclusive.
Most of us dream of LFC winning number 19 and number 6.

04 Sep 2016 17:08:06
when we are in the top four, and stay there, fans will believe, that anything is possible, we are just two maybe three players short, but the good times are just around the corner .

03 Sep 2016 21:33:56
Mane taken off injured for Senegal, hopefully its not serious. As far as i know Senegal are already qualified for the African Nations,
No need for him to play . I hate these internationals hoping your player's don't come back injured.

Believable5 Unbelievable11

03 Sep 2016 21:48:18
There's nothing wrong with him.

03 Sep 2016 22:20:18
Hate all international games until an actual tournement.

03 Sep 2016 23:52:57
Mane is not injured; he was taken off as a precaution.

03 Sep 2016 15:49:25
Sturridge's biggest problem is is fitness and I highly doubt he is even doing the intensive training Klopp requires from players as his body cannot take it. Sturridge has stayed fit under Klopp. When ever he goes on International duty he gets injured. This suggest that their is a seperate training program for Sturrridge?

I cannot see Sturridge staying beyond this season unless he can somehow turn around his injury prone status.

On his day, Sturridge is one of the best strikers in the League but to rely on him staying fit and playing 90 minutes after 90 minutes is the problem which is probably why he will not be a regular this coming season.

Believable6 Unbelievable15

03 Sep 2016 17:07:29
So what you want us to do? Go buy the strongest man on the planet? Sturridge is a world class striker and the last time we sold one we end up with lambert and Balotelli. The club without consistent CL wouldn't get any one from the top bracket unless you fill their bed with money.

Whose next in your list? Must be Coutinho. Y not have a separate training program for players who doesn't cope? What's your excuse of not playing Ings? I cannot believe people want the second best striker in the league to be sold.

03 Sep 2016 17:13:29
He's been pretty much fit to go since the turn of the year (8/ 9 months) maybe he's turned a corner.

03 Sep 2016 17:17:28
I did not say we should sell Sturridge. All I am trying to point out is that Sturridge probably does not have a long term future under Klopp because he cannot rely on his fitness.

03 Sep 2016 18:57:27
We should've bought a proper top quality striker with the Suarez money.
All that "goals from midfield" "we have sturridge" nonsense set us back 6/ 7 years.
The only reason Liverpool football club isn't competing at the Top year in year out for the past 20 years is Failings in the transfer market.
The way we spend massive money on crap players is absolutely shocking.

{Ed023's Note - But yet when a manager like Klopp refuses to enter the market because the right player isn't available; him, the owners and whoever else gets abuse?}

03 Sep 2016 18:14:28
Sturridge has played international games and the whole Euro's tournament without getting injured, how bout we let this season play out before throwing him on the scrap heap.

03 Sep 2016 20:55:41
Well said ed023.

03 Sep 2016 21:19:49
Exactly what Ed023 says! So tired of people complaining about not using money just to use money! .

04 Sep 2016 02:48:10
Fair point Ed23.seems the club is either
1) "overpaying for crap players" and being ripped off (Markovic, Llalana, Lovren etc. )
2) or not stepping up with enough cash (eg Chilwell)
3) or not showing enough ambition in our transfer dealings like Man Utd or City (when we clearly don't have the same financial resources)

Reality is a lot of transfers don't work out because that's just the nature of the business, if Klopp doesn't spend because he doesn't think he right player is available then fair play. it's a lot braver to make that call than spending for the sake of appeasing the clamouring fans.

Frankly we have enough of a squad to challenge if he training and coaching is right and we pull together as a unit. I'd rather we bought only very selectively each window for players that will obviously improve problem areas.

03 Sep 2016 19:23:10
What's the excuse of not playing strikers when you have them fit and ready to go? Sturridge needs a world class partner up front and actually all he needs to get back to what he is. We played two up top back in 2013 and we finished only 2 points behind City. I have never understood what Klopp actually wants from his players. Running alone will never win you a match. It's tactics. Sometimes to sit back, sometime to park the bus. Sometime to hold the ball, sometime to press high. It's tactics that win you the game.

If Sturridge was introduced earlier against spurs the results would have been different.

03 Sep 2016 23:02:58
Bang on Ed023! Thank the Lord someone has sense! Thank you!

03 Sep 2016 13:55:22
Hi all

So that's another window come and gone. Since We got nearly all our business done early doors, it was a bit of anticlimax end to the window for us.

I just have a niggling feeling that our owners are planning to sell. Especially with the business we've done. Overall in the back for 14+ million. For me it doesn't show a big statement with the investment in the team. I think they are planning for an exit.

I do trust Klopp to take us forward again this season but to do this, we seriously need to figure how to break down teams that sit back,

YNWA.

Believable8 Unbelievable16

03 Sep 2016 14:34:49
They might be planning to sell, but there is no evidence for that in the transfer business. This window is not proof of the club not spending money, we invested heavily once more, offset a little by Klopp picking Bundesliga bargains.
If anything, it shows how wasteful we have been in previous years - because the owners invested heavily then. Sadly, many of the players were not the right choice - but hey, there were many, and that's what the FANS want, more shiny toys each year. Without european football we had to clear deck, and the squad is still a little bit too large.

I wholeheartedly agree on the last point, my great hope is an increase in hard won 2-1 and 3-1 victories, if we manage to carry on the Europa resilience we showed towards the end of last season. Win at home, draw away, and will go a long way!

03 Sep 2016 15:03:50
I don't think we broke even or made a profit like some people are saying.
But we did spend a good amount, and we also made a good amount as well, partly due to how many players we had to shift and getting some decent fees for some of them.
I don't think it has anything to do with what the owners are doing.

03 Sep 2016 17:18:15
We didn't profit this window. Ed002 said so.

03 Sep 2016 18:55:10
We didn't waste money like in previous windows, when we over spent on players we didn't play. let's just get behind our team.

03 Sep 2016 20:43:05
21 players out ( not counting loans) and just 7 in, so the incomings are ballpark 3 times the value Of The out's, this has to be a good thing, wish a lb was in there but hay ho, Rome in a day and all that.
Left backs are like rocking horse s√|π these days.

03 Sep 2016 21:45:59
Tjred, I think when Ed02 said we didn't make a profit he was taking into account agents fees etc but as far as I can remember we've always took the Incomings from outgoings so in that case I think we have turned a profit. With this "profit" and what you would think a trimmed wage bill as well as future income increase by stadium capacity I think the owners are paving the way to sell. Remember the 7 year exit plan DIC had? aren't FSG in 6th year? Only teasing with that comment but I think it's on the cards.

{Ed002's Note - There was no profit.}

03 Sep 2016 22:08:33
Ed02, not normally one to go checking things in minute detail but a quick search and result on THIS IS ANFIELD states £61.9 spent and £77.8 in sales.?

{Ed002's Note - I don't know what that is but it is incorrect - or are you suggesting the figures Liverpool supplied to UEFA are incorrect. And why is it in GB£? And in addition to that there were significant signing on fees, legal costs, costs to agents. This is why we don't discuss money. Maybe Liverpool lied to UEFA - that would be pretty serious?}

03 Sep 2016 22:29:38
What's a good rule of thumb for finances? Without going indepth, say add 50% to cover the cost us fans never consider?
I understand the hassle of explaining and clarifying money spent questions, but is it better to think if the press add our transfer fees to show we spent £60m on players, really it was more like £90m.

Think it might shut a few moaners up and stop a few future questions.

{Ed002's Note - It has all been dealt with in the past.}

03 Sep 2016 22:32:31
Ok ED02, TIA website has got the numbers wrong, can I put it another way or maybe the same way as my ogiginal post, did LFC receive more from
Sales (excluding agents fees, signing on fees VAT Isn Ayres dry cleaning bill etc etc etc etc etc ) than they spent on new players, I know Matips signing on fee could be quite relevant but for this purpose let's leave it aside. If you still insist no any chance of a breakdown. Cheers Ed.

{Ed002's Note - I have answered this repeatedly - no.}

03 Sep 2016 22:45:23
So no breakdown then?
Good night God bless Ed.

03 Sep 2016 13:07:48
Does anyone know if Sheyi Ojo is back in training after his injury (back fracture)? I read somewhere that he was expected back playing in mid-September, so for that to happen he'd normally be back in training by now. Important to have him available in case of injuries to our attacking mids.

Believable1 Unbelievable10

03 Sep 2016 11:25:25
I actually think pepin ljinders will be our next manager he's worked with our u18s and 21s/ 23s he's worked with our previous 2 managers successfully and he talks so well with such intelligence I believe as long as he gets a minimum of 2 more years with klopp he'd be top of the list for when klopp leaves/ is sacked. What do you think?

Believable5 Unbelievable15

03 Sep 2016 11:35:54
Succession planning is important for any top club.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has no plans for Klopp's replacement at all.}

03 Sep 2016 12:12:41
thank god for that! Klopp leaving would not be a good thing at all.

03 Sep 2016 14:09:35
But who will replace ljinders?

Ugh we really need to get prepared. what a shambles.

04 Sep 2016 06:06:38
Surely any well run business would have contingency plans in place for key employees?

04 Sep 2016 09:26:26
Well run ones might.

03 Sep 2016 10:52:20
Question for the eds if they are about? How is it that sky can run both Sky sports news and simultaneously run skybet? It just seems ridiculous when they promote a story on their website which says player x going to club y according to their 'sources'. This will then have a link to the betting site with updated odds because of this source and a couple ofhours later the player ends up at a different club altogether. If they are unfairly skewing the market and creating fake favorites how are they allowed to do this?

Believable0 Unbelievable5

{Ed002's Note - Betting odds are calculated based on the money placed on players moving - they are not swewing the "transfer news" in order to get additional income from betting. The lesson is for those stupid enough to place bets based on what some oik says on television.}

03 Sep 2016 13:16:23
Only a complete tool would bet on a story that was released by that betting agency!

That is just modern day natural selection ;)

03 Sep 2016 15:05:20
Sadly there are plenty of tools about who will part with cash.

03 Sep 2016 09:53:43
Just touching base re the Klopp debate a few days ago specifically with my mate Waro. Yes I hear everything you say there Waro. A mate mentioned that there was in fact other "behind the scenes" issues with the Chilwell deal, which I doubt could be posted on here. With that in mind and given the owners transfer criteria, it looks as though there were few options for bringing in a left back.

Offensively we look good. I said to my mate in the summer after bringing in Mane, we replace Moreno and bring in a good DM in the mould of Gary Medel and we're in business. It hasn't happened and its left me feeling frustrated. As much as I like Klopp I still feel he has blind spots, but unless we're winning everything, I'll find flaws, that's just me. Although we won the game, I feel he got the starting 11 against Dortmund at home wrong and he didn't react to the Seville changes second half in the final. The 433 he opts for here and there is still vulnerable to the 'bus parking' counter brigade and I just hope he addresses this. If, in these 20-30 min spells when we're capable of smashing teams, he then changes and adapts to suit then I think he could take us to glory again. As things stand at this moment in time though, the jury's out for me on his defencive philosophy. Yes I like the look of the new keeper and the centre half from Augsburg but at a glance I'm not sure Matip will cut it, there's a problem with playing either Can or Hendo holding (Stewart's the only lad suited to the role) and the left back situations a shambles. Personally I would've liked to have seen Rossiter and Flanno named in the squad.

Believable3 Unbelievable11

{Ed002's Note - Klopp has been digging himself a hole recently with his screwing around blocking Balotelli's move (there needed to be intervention to make it happen) and over another recent matter that involved him talking when he shouldn't have been - and that has caused great embarrassment to the club. No doubt he will soon become embroiled in a spat with Mino Raiola who is making it clear to anyone in the media who will listen that he sees Klopp as unprofessional.}

03 Sep 2016 11:26:37
Isnt that unprofessional of Raiola?

{Ed002's Note - Mino don't see it that way, and neither do the club according to him.}

03 Sep 2016 12:25:16
If new owners come in klopp won't last 2 mins.

03 Sep 2016 12:32:22
What club ed.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool.}

03 Sep 2016 12:59:47
My O My. Seems the honeymoon is truly over for Mr. Klopp. I'd say he's finally arrived in the "hotseat" which is any EPL manager's position. But I trust him and he'll navigate his way through. In the end, it's the results on the field that really matter and count, and I hope those start coming up only roses.

03 Sep 2016 13:15:47
Mattaldinho - You have any idea what severance pay would be like for "new owners" to pay on a 6 year contract? Good thing you don't manage the "new owners" money.

03 Sep 2016 13:25:38
Ed002 - 2 questions if you don't mind. 1) If it's okay to discuss it in the public domain, why would Klopp attempt to block Balotelli's transfer if he clearly wanted him gone from LFC? 2) Why did LFC not try to loan Balotelli out (and collect a loan fee) for his final season with us? Is it because nobody was willing to pay his full wages on loan, and consequently us paying him any wages would have been higher than any loan fee received?

{Ed002's Note - (a) Klopp can be difficult and his man-management skills leave a lot to be desired. (b) And end up paying his wages? Klopp had already made it clear in the public domain that he needed to move on - they would have stood a chance if he kept quiet about it - it has been done to death).

03 Sep 2016 13:35:45
There will likely be no new owners, only a new minority shareholder. Yes minority. This means they do not call the shots on ANYTHING at all, only contribute an opinion. The will not be big enough of a shareholder to command a majority of the board.

They will not be firing anyone unless FSG actually agrees.

03 Sep 2016 13:40:29
Well it was the owner who thought balotelli was a 50mil mil player so they would.

03 Sep 2016 13:46:37
Yes my mate who knows people who work at the club has said similar to be honest Ed002. Various things said but 'unprofessional' seems to be a theme in certain quarters of his management. However, could this be merely differences in perception. One mans view of ways to get the best out of resources may not be the same as another's. Regarding Ballotelli Ed002, he deserves everything he gets and if Klopps stance sends a signal to such upstarts then I welcome it. In essence I'd rather have a manager who manages rather than a manager who wants to be the players mates. My over ridding concern with Klopp just now is what I see as flaws in the squad and potentially his footballing philosophy, although I'm with Waro and Ed001 in terms of giving him at least 3 years during which time I hope he proves to the contrary. Yes I'd say Klavans an upgrade on Skrtle and the keeper an improvement on Mig but to stick with a car crash in Moreno and rely on a right winger to play left backs a big no no for me. This should've been addressed as if you take the pace out the team (Mane) we're into this fatal 433 (the most frustrating modern day academic system I've ever had the misfortune of observing) .

In no doubt Klopp has improved players, Lovren, Stewart, Origi and Can. Gruic for me looks quality, Manes class, the nucleus is there, it just frustrates me as there's always something missing. He's endeavoured to strengthen at centre half (not sure on Matip but time will tell) Klavan and Lovren look a decent partnership as long as Klavans not doubling up having to cover left back because of Morenos shortcomings but to over look left back with a car crash like Moreno to me's just criminal and will cost us dearly again this season.

03 Sep 2016 13:50:35
Okay, thanks Ed002. Appreciated.

03 Sep 2016 14:42:30
Ozone, I have been saying the same thing about our defense, the left back position has been a major weak spot for far too long, I do rate the young goalie, but it will take a season or two before he is highly rated, I do rate Matip, I like the way he brings the ball out when he can, I think Sturridge will shine in the home games, lots of chances, but not sure on his work rate which Klopp wants,
the fact that he didn't bring in a Left Back, will hit him hard, when/ if we miss out on top four, the fans will slowly turn on him, so much is expected this season, with a lot less games,
I still think we will finish 5th or 6th, too many teams have a better squad than us, take out Mane, and play like we did against Burnley, and let in goals from the full back area, and Klopp will be under so much pressure .

03 Sep 2016 15:42:59
I don't know how you think Klavan and Lovern look like a decent partnership. They were part of the defence that conceded 5 goals in the first 2 games. Unless you are basing it on something else but certainly not their 2 games together?

03 Sep 2016 16:18:33
I think when an uncapped journeyman like Alonso goes for 23m there's obviously a huge lack of talent at left back. Chilwell deal is odd and something is missing from our full understanding of it. If we'd of got Medal or similar instead of Wijuldum it would of been a hugely successful window but as it is it's a good window and much needed. Unrealistic to expect everything sorted in 2 windows but definitely moving forward.
Think both full backs and solid dm is all that's missing and possibly a replacement for the petulant swine that's DS.

03 Sep 2016 14:11:05
Have all our previous successful managers been "professional"? Are other successful managers never "unprofessional"?

I'm sure I could think of a few dozens examples of when they haven't. If he's winning no-one will care, if he's losing it will be used as a stick to beat him with.
At the end of the day, he's an ex-footballer turned manager, what are we expecting from him? I'm not expecting him to be fully versed in business etiquette, there are plenty of pen-pushing paper-shufflers around to do that.

{Ed002's Note - It is unacceptable and it is not doing anyone any good at all. He is costing the club money and embarrassment.}

03 Sep 2016 14:45:02
Ed002, Raiola calling Klopp a piece of s**t surely suggest that he has a problem with Balotelli going on a 'free'?

All I can say is thank heavens we are finally rid of Balotelli who did not give an arse about LFC while he was being payed healthy wages. Good riddance to him and now Rioala can also go wash his mouth out.

{Ed002's Note - No, Klopp caused the situation and cost the club money - this has been done to death over recent months.}

03 Sep 2016 16:49:33
By DS you mean Daniel Sturridge? I'm starting to believe that maybe Ed002 is right and we are a terrible group of supporters.

03 Sep 2016 17:45:25
Ed002, to be fair, Balotelli cost the club money even before Klopp arrived where we still had to pay towards his wages when he went on loan. AC Milan had enough of him too. If he had gone on loan LFC would have needed to pay a portion of his wages again. If I am not mistaken Balotelli still had two years left on his contract. It was a no win situation for LFC irrespective of whether Klopp spilled the beans or not.

It is not like LFC even remotely showed that they wanted to keep Balotelli and was clear he was not going to get game time at LFC irrespective of the manager. If LFC did want to sell Balotelli they would have taken a hit anyway.

{Ed002's Note - One year left on his contract and any chance of a sale went with what Klopp said - it cost the club money. Stop looking for excuses for Klopp - if this were Rodgers screwing up you would be all over him.}

03 Sep 2016 18:48:47
I wouldn't make excuses for Klopp or anyone else and i am not sure what's even going on fully to be honest, but just a question: How much would it cost to keep Balo on books rather then sell on free?
Genuine question as it seems his wages over a period of time like he has had with us would cost (I imagine) similar to losing any fee we may have got on his transfer?

Again i do not pretend to know, just asking.

{Ed002's Note - The club wanted to sell the player - speaking out ended any chance of that. I made the clear when he took it in to the public domain and completeletely played in to the hands of Mino. Klopp cost the club money.}

03 Sep 2016 18:51:39
i have to say though ...

{Ed002's Note - If you are going to be abusive you should begin the post, "Speaking from a position of ignorance ..." Gareth. The fault of all of this rests at the door of Klipperty, not the player and not his agent.}

03 Sep 2016 19:29:56
Steady on ....

{Ed002's Note - You know nothing of the man at all. Selling a player brings income - Klopp lost that income for Liverpool.}

03 Sep 2016 21:04:01
I have said it before that Klopp is not perfect and he will make mistakes like tapping players up, putting things like the Balo issue in public domaine or giving Sahko the business during a live presser. These things are what is seen as unprofessional even tho, many of us or even Klopp see it that way. Ed is right. He's in the hot seat now and needs to tread wisely when navigating these issues going forward. I also think that the LB situation was a complete disgrace and badly handled. I know it's not easy to just sign a player but if Alonso could get signed for twice the fee Chilwell would have cost, what stopped us from paying the 10m (pocket change, these days) for him? Only Klopp can answer that because it beggars belief really. All in all, the team looks good but issues remain however, other teams have their issues as well so I hope Klopp can adapt and figure things out this season. Keep the faith boys!

03 Sep 2016 21:13:02
Clearly Klopp narrowed the options when going public on Balotelli and that reduced room for manoeuvre. With Balo's record, any club would have probably hardballed us, but by speaking his mind so openly it seems very clear that any chance of a sale went. As far as Mino Raiola goes I don't care what he thinks. but then again on reflection falling out with agents probably isn't a good strategy, is it?
Regarding his man management skills, I could imagine him being blunt, which could well put some noses out of joint. He does strike me as being honest and forthright: I can also see him being loyal. He was a committed but limited centre back, I can imagine him being very frustrated with Balotelli and also with Sakho: players with more talent than he had, but less application. BTW thanks ed002 for the insights.

Like I said Irish a Rover, as long as he's not doubling up covering for Moreno.

I am sure your right Ed02. I didn't suggest i did know him and i was merely asking a question which i fully understand you haven't time for, but clearly i do understand selling a player makes more money than giving one away, but that was not what i was asking. I do respect that and all your hard work though. thxs.

Im not convinced by the argument being put forward here Ed002 re Klopp losing the club money. This is on the belief that someone would buy Balotelli. I've seen no evidence suggesting clubs were queueing to buy. Balotelli has been an open wound for the club. The club don't want him, he's not trying to change that. Waiting 2 more years to resolve is too long - IMHO the right course of action has been taken i. e. meet the problem head on and close the wound.

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what you are talking about 2 years. The club wanted to sell Balotelli and had instructed MR to find options - they gave him an asking price and a lower price they would accept. Then Klopp opened his mouth in the public domain - and I explained on that day he had played in to the hands of Balotelli and MR and that it would cost Liverpool any chance of a sale - he cost the club millions. You keep scratching around for excuses.}

if I may ed01 please can you give me your opinion where we r likely to end up this year. I'm really hoping for top 4 but honestly think top 4 would be a massive achievement this season. we look top 4 going forward and mid table best defensive. I hope karius will bring some much needed authority to our back 4.

{Ed001's Note - impossible to say, could be anywhere this season with the way the spending has been throughout the Prem. I am going with top 4 though, because I believe Klopp being here the last few months to settle in has given us an edge.}

I predicted 3rd for us at the start of the season but that depends on how we do against the 'smaller' teams.

03 Sep 2016 11:20:47
8th again boys.

03 Sep 2016 12:10:37
I still think we will be pushing for the title come the end of the season, even though the odds are stacked against that.

03 Sep 2016 13:23:16
Top 6 at best.

03 Sep 2016 14:45:27
If we finish 8th again, then we are in big trouble, I agree with sweet chin, Top Six, and a Cup Final .

Back to the top of the tree. Champions.

Run away champions by April 😎.

6th I'd say. The title will be between the manchester clubs, not too far behind Chelsea and the inevitable 4th placed Arsenal. I think it's between us and Spurs for 6th. Normality is restored.

It pains me to see someone like Balotelli given cult like status for basically being a running joke, wasting his talent and goofing around for the majority of his career, when someone like Jordan Henderson who is a very good player when in form and had worked his way to the top with blood, sweat and tears is vilified for every missed pass and for losing form after a long term injury.

Who says Balotelli has "cult like status? " He's frequently talked about but for all the wrong reasons. I'd rather be criticized on the football side of things then for my antics off the pitch which result in wasted talent. Henderson's going to be fine.

03 Sep 2016 08:27:39
Balotelli definitely has a "cult" like following. a lot of people are "fans" of his or glorify him for his ridiculous antics. he's a worldwide name who I would guess actually earned more than Henderson while he was here in the first season anyway I could be wrong, but if not then that is wrong!

03 Sep 2016 12:36:16
Both have got mega money falling from their knees I'm sure they'll be fine.

03 Sep 2016 13:39:16
Hi.
I think you got a letter wrong in the word before like fugure.

03 Sep 2016 10:30:42
Its a sad indictment of the world these days. Where an idiot like him has a "cult" status or following for being a waster. He has talent, or at least he did once, but has never even tried to take advantage of it on the field. The fascination with 'celebrity', be it in sport or otherwise just fuels a lack of effort. People don't care about the 'blood, sweat and tears' mentioned by the Lil Magician anymore. Instant fame, instant success with minimum effort is what the Kids aspire to these days. Try hard, work hard and become a Suarez, or do nowt and be a Mario Balotelli? When lack of effort is rewarded as highly as it is in Marios case, people shun the extra work required to step up to become 'proper' players.
